I can't begin to describe how amazing of an experience I had at El Monte RV. We had the RV reserved for pick up on Thursday. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call on Wednesday asking if I could pick up the RV that day at no extra charge. Needless to say I picked up on Wednesday. This was Halloween weekend, from what I come to find out was one of the busiest weekends of the year. When I came to pick up it was busy. Even as busy as it was, I was politely greated and told they'd be right with me. After the short wait it was my time to be helped and Judy was the agent that took care of us. She was very friendly and thoroughly explained the rental agreement with us, what all of the charges were, and when the RV needed to be returned. Once all of the paperwork was done we were introduced to Sandra who demonstrated to us how everything on the RV functioned. She was extremely knowledgeable about how the RV worked and also knew about all of the potential problems that could arise. She took her time to show us how each and everything worked and answered all the questions we had. I felt completely confident when I left knowing how to use everything. Now onto the RV. It was spotlessly cleaned and sanitized. If you would've told me we were the first people to ever rent this particular RV I would've believed it. Everything we needed was in there (leveling ramps, city water hook up hose, shore line, water dump, even a fold up table!). There were USB ports conveniently around the RV for charging mobile devices. There was a reverse camera that made backing up easy. We had a slight issue while driving the RV to our house. When we got home we called the customer care line and actual person answered the phone, not an automated menu. The person we talked to empathized with our situation and took care of us right away. We took our trip to the Dumont Dunes for Halloween weekend. There some steep grades getting there from Las Vegas. The V10 in pulled the hills no problem and even got decent fuel mileage. The coach part of the RV functioned with no problems at all. The power awning and LED porch lights were great. Finally was it was time to return the RV. I was a little nervous about how long it would take because I had to work the Monday we returned it. I was impressed how fast the whole process was. Desiree handled the whole thing from start to finish. She greeted us with a great big smile and had us have a seat. She went and inspected the RV, came back inside, and we were done. The whole return took no time at all. This was my first time renting from El Monte RV and From start to finish I was beyond happy with my experience. I've rented from the competition before and can't say I had the same experience. The other company had many hidden fees and nickel and dimed you to use all the features of the RV. This wasn't the case at all with El Monte RV. All the charges were straight forward and there were no hidden costs. I've already told all my friends and family about our amazing experience we had and we're already planning out next trip. Don't hesitate to use this company and this location!

We rented a Class C motor home from the Las Vegas location and couldn’t have been happier. The staff was great, facility clean, and everything was done beyond expectations!! Very satisfied with El Monte, we rented the smallest C class for a two week road trip from Seattle to Las Vegas. The rig was newer with low miles, it was well maintained aside from some minor damage to the exterior which was recorded prior to leaving, and everything we needed worked great. The pick up: Seattle Being a first time “RV’r” the pick up and showing of the vehicle could have been better. we were given a very fast crash course on how to use it, I had to ask most of the questions about the vehicle to learn about it. El Monte has left over supplies that’s up for grabs for the next road tripper, this came in handy and saved us some extra expenses. The trip: 2700 Miles Seattle to Las Vegas Could not be more satisfied, everything worked the whole time. We had the Sunseeker C class for me, my GF and our daughter. The only critique I would have for this model - I slept in the upper portion above the cabin and the heating did not fill this space well. The drop off: Las Vegas Jonathan helped us with the drop off. It was quick and simple, gave us a $50 gift card to use within a year. Thank you El Monte

It was our first time renting an rv. Deff. a fun experience. Picking up the rental does take an hour because they go over everything with you. Which I was thankful for since we were newbies . The rv was exactly like in the photos! Really nice rv. Everything ran smoothly we had no problems with it. Returning the rv was easy peasy. I was in and out. We will for sure rent an rv again.

I have rented multiple one-way trips with the "other" RV rental company. This was my first time with El Monte. El Monte wins. They have better vehicles, including awnings, slide outs, stereo-tv and overall comfort. And this company has great customer service (in-person, on the phone and email). Check-in and Check-out was seamless. We want to rent again in 2022 - but for a longer stretch. Nine days, from Elkhart, IN to Las Vegas was just not enough.

I had a wonderful experience with El Monte RV. This was my first time renting an RV and the process was smooth. I highly recommend Jose, he was really helpful with the paperwork, figuring out the right insurance need and thoroughly inspecting the vehicle before handing it over. He explained very clearly all the function for operating the vehicle, which made our first time experience better. The good thing about this location is that they are open on Sunday. The vehicle we got was very clean from inside. All the appliances in the vehicle were in good working condition. The only issue I had was that they do not have a dump site. You need to go to a nearby business for dump before returning the vehicle. Overall my experience with them was wonderful and would definitely rent from them again.

The rental experience was very good overall. We had two issues with the RV. When we first took it home and we're trying to load to refrigerator in preparation to leave the handle broke off completely. We tried to call the RV center but they were already closed. We decided to just start our trip. We had to use a bitter knife to pry it open each time we wanted something, which was a pain. Then on the first night the heater broke. It was snowing outside and very cold. My family had to sleep with layers of clothes on and our jackets. Then in the morning we had to turn the RV on and turn on the driver/passenger heater in order to warm it up a bit. It didn't stop us though as we had a fun family trip. When I took it back to return it and explained what happened to us the rental associate was very helpful. She said sorry on behalf of the company and provided a partial refund and voucher for our next rental with them. I was very satisfied and will definitely rent from them again. My only tip for future renters is to test everything before leaving the lot. And I mean everything!.

Was my first time in an RV and had so much fun! The 22 foot rv was super easy to drive and by super easy I mean anyone can drive especially with the back up camera you can see everything better than in a car! The ease of stopping where ever you want, not hauling stuff in and out of a hotel was an added bonus. I will def be renting again!

Fast service and friendly staff! I've never driven or camped in an RV before and the staff gave a comprehensive and efficient tutorial of how to operate all features of the RV, including using the "stinky slinky" to empty the black and grey water tanks. They didn't have our kitchen kit and our convenience kits (blankets, towels, etc) ready when we picked up the vehicle despite confirming twice on the phone they would be added to our rental; however, El Monte RV comped us the cost for both kits since they didn't have it ready! A piece on our toilet broke during our rental that prevented flushing, so that was pretty incontinent for 2 days. Pickup and dropoff went smoothly and fast. Look elsewhere for an airport shuttle or taxi because they don't offer this service. For families flying into Las Vegas wishing to rent an RV to explore a number of nearby national parks and scenic wonders, I recommend El Monte RV. Great customer service and the RV was newer with all the amenities you need.

Tips: you can call them and schedule a pickup time the day before to get your RV earlier than normal time. And if you come there earlier your can get a lot of donation which others return RV left. For the RV, it is not easy to drive since it is a little bit different with the smaller car like SUV. But new drive also can try it, just be careful on the road. RV has worse ability against wind. You should slow when you met windy weather. It would consume fuel quickly, and you would go to gas stations frequently. For RV life, order a campground!!! The first thing when you arrive campground is to get the water and electricity in. We love the RV life so much. It is like a home. It’s convenient. We enjoy it. Hope you too.

My fiance and I rented from El Monte RV in Las Vegas, and had the absolute greatest experience. I can't believe we didn't catch the name of the manager who helped us get started, but she was absolutely amazing. We had dreamed about having an RV and touring around to some National Parks with it, and this experience was incredible. I highly recommend getting the toaster and coffee machine for your travels. It made breakfast in the wilderness perfect. I can't wait until our next adventure with El Monte RV!! I hope the same woman is working there because she literally made our trip!!!!

The most beautiful trip ever! We left El Monte RV Rentals on Friday. Grand Canyons, Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend, Upper Antelope Canyon, Canyonlands, Moab and Arches, Bryce Canyon and Zion. Seven well packed days and nights. Campfires every night. We were so close to the stars, it felt like you could touch them. We will never forget our trip in the RV. Rented a C class 28 footer, received a new 2022 model with only 8,000 miles Truck ran great. Even though it was 120°, the engine and a/c kept up pretty well. The generator died a few times but it was extremely hot and the outside temperature was insane. Once we got moving, the generator was able to be restarted. Crystal was great, very efficient and friendly.

The motor home worked well but I felt that the staff were putting the screws on my to buy their extra insurance. In the past, I had to show that my auto insurance covers rental. At El Monte, I had to get a specific form completed by my insurance agent. The El Monte staff would not provide me with that form and expected my insurance agent to have it. In the end, I was able to get my insurance agent to send the form to them but it took about 2 hours of back and forth. The El Monte agent could have made it easier.

I picked up an A-class RV im Chicago and drove it all the way out to SF. From a support standpoint, roadside assistance was swift on their responses and always made sure that any problems we might’ve encountered were addressed promptly. Once I got to SF our inspector, Max, was incredibly polite and walked us through the check-in requirements in no time. Once in the office, Amar helped me with the final paperwork and we were off without any troubles at all. I did this trip with 6 of my friends and would 100% use El Monte again in the future. I had switched my insurance to AAA to cover the RV so I did not have to pay for El Monte RV ins. My AAA southern California was closed on the day that I picked up the RV so I was not able to add the RV to my ins policy. MAKE SURE YOU CALL El Monte RV A FEW DAYS IN ADVANCE TO GET THE RVs VIN # to add to the ins. Otherwise you will have to pay for their ins. Which was an unexpected cost of over $400. I rented the 28ft RV and it slept my family of 5 with ease. It drove really nicely. We did Sedona, Grand Canyon South Rim. Page / Lake Powell, Bryce then Zion. Cusomer service was good in Vegas. If you have AAA they give a free 600 miles. So that helped. Super fun!!! The check out process was about an hour and the same when checking back in. Thanks El Monte.

The RV itself was great. Nice and clean, has all the amenities including TV, stove, shower, etc. The problems were with the company itself. Does not tell you the mandatory insurance requirements and that you’d have to bring a written application with proof of insurance otherwise you’d have to pay for theirs. Also was contacted multiple times to change the pick up time of our RV. And it all got pretty pricey with all their fees.

Our experience with El Monte RV was great. In particular, the lady who checked us out was terrific. She was very friendly and professional, and she patiently answered all of our questions as first time RV renters. (Unfortunately I never got her name, or else I would have mentioned it to give her a shout out). The RV itself was fine. It was a 25 footer and was perfectly suitable for our family of four. It was an older model, however, so I would ask to get a newer one the next time we rent one. All in all, it was a positive experience, and we would definitely rent from them again.

We rented a 28ft motorhome for the purpose of traveling from Las Vegas to San Antonio and back (around 2500 miles & 7 days). The motorhome handled just like a large uhaul, with the same visibility. My sister and I rented an RV for a Utah road trip and had a great experience with El Monte! Having never even driven one before, we got thorough instructions from the woman who checked us in- she answered all our questions, gave us realistic feedback as to what we would/wouldn't need, and we felt very confident out on the road. When returning our RV they went above and beyond to stay open a few minutes late so we could return it before catching flights out even though we were running late- this definitely saved the day for us!!! Could not be happier with how easy and smooth the checking in and out process was. The price was very reasonable, the size of 22ft was perfect (and not offered by the other main RV rental), and it was all around a great experience. We'd definitely recommend this location.

I would highly recommend El Monte RV. From the reservation service via phone to the renting of the RV, everything was straight forward and I knew what I was signing up for. The AAA discount was a big perk. Crystal was so kind and allowed us to pick up the RV early which led to more time on the road and Sandra was amazing with the onboarding and training of how to use the RV. If you are apprehensive to rent (like I was), I would highly recommend El Monte over and over again. This location is amazing!

Overall we had a pretty mixed experience with our El Monte RV rental. Check in was fast and easy, the staff was very nice and helpful, and we had no problems with the return process. However, there were two huge problems with the RV we received. 1) The two auxiliary (house) batteries we were provided with were totally dead. Dead as in they couldn't even hold a 2/3rds charge for more than about two minutes after charging overnight. We had no way of knowing this during checkout because the batteries register as full/charging whenever the engine is running. Lesson learned: be sure to check your batteries with the engine turned off! Especially if you plan on dry docking! 2) The drain in our kitchen sink leaked horribly, causing water to leak into the drawers below whenever the water was run. This made the kitchen sink unusable. These two problems really put a downer on our trip. The only reason I'm leaving a review of three stars instead of one is that the El Monte customer service was very good. When we realized our batteries were dead, we called the El Monte support line, and some repair technicians with new batteries were dispatched to our location within a couple of hours at no cost to us. Secondly, when we complained about our experiences upon returning, the manager approved a discount on our rental price which we felt was fair given the trouble we went through.

The RV was a 2017 model year and in good shape. We had no issues with it during our week-long rental. The $1000 hold on my credit card was released after I returned the RV. The folks whom served us at both pickup and return were helpful and very polite. The only issue was that it took about 2.5 hours from the time we arrived until we were ready to drive the RV off the lot, and it took about 40 minutes when we returned the RV until we were free to leave. I feel I received good value from El Monte.

I had a really good experience renting here. I checked in my RV with Jessica. She was really efficient and I didn't feel like she was looking for a bunch of things to charge me, which I have seen at other RV rental companies. It totally made me feel more positive about the experience. I also was impressed with little touches in the RV that made the experience better, like the TV working without having to run the generator, little bags for the dump hoses, and a flush stream to clean out the dump hoses.

This was our first time renting an RV. El Monte RV has reasonable rates. We rented at their Las Vegas location. Their reservation was simple. The staff was friendly. I wished they allowed for the size selection of vehicle. I rented the smallest class C RV which is between 22-25 feet long. When I called to ask for the 22 footer, I was told they can't know which RV I'm getting until the day of. I ended up with a 25.5 feet RV which was too large for Zion scenic drive. Tip: take a picture of your RV. I was charged to replace a hubcap which apparently fell off while I was driving. Other RVs seemed to have missing hubcaps but I had no way of proving whether mine was missing or not when I got the RV.

The A Class is very nice but have lots of engine noise and everything rattles in the cockpit. C class is better. Crystal was very helpful and the rental, pickup and return was a breeze. Lots of fun. Will repeat again with El Monte.

We've rented twice from El Monte in 2 different locations and each time we had great service. The RV's are nice and clean with lots of storage space. The pick-up and drop-off procedures were made very clear by the helpful staff who walked us through all steps and gave us complete instructions on proper use and care. We felt that El Monte provided a great value in an RV rental.

Very easy making the reservations online; when we finally went to pick up the RV, we had to watch a video (for the RV-impaired - that was us - ha!) and then frankly we enjoyed the time with Marissa going over the same information in person with our actual rental. When we took the RV back, Kim was the person who inspected the return...she gave us a 0 (kidding Kim). Final transaction was seamless. The staff was nice and helpful and the RV was like new with only 10k miles. The only negatives were manufacturing quality issues. The furnace wouldn't stay lit and the sink fixtures came loose. They did offer to guide us through service on the road but we didn't want to interrupt our vacation. At the end we were given a mileage credit for the inconvenience. I would use El Monte again.

Plan a couple hours to pick up your RV. People at Las Vegas location are very nice though. I had a 2015 model RV in good condition but my friend got a 2009 one with cosmetic issues and unfortunately some mechanical ones too. El Monte Support line managed very rapidly to direct us to a repair shop during our trip, where we spent half a day for part fixing. My friend got offered 300$ at the end of the trip for the inconvenience. Overall, good feeling but would recommend to try to get a newer model.

We are first time RVers! Our experience from the initial call to reserve the RV right through the return of our security deposit was very good. El Monte explains everything and provides 24 hour assistance so we never felt alone. The vehicle was just as described, clean and in great shape. The only thing that was not 100% satisfactory was my fault. We did not return the unit with a full tank and were charged $6 gallon to fill a 55 gallon tank. El Monte told us this many times and even encourage me to go back out to the gas station myself, however we were pressed for time. Do not make the same mistake! However, I cannot wait to rent another RV from El Monte we had such a great family vacation.

I read all the reviews and was worry about this place. I had a pretty good experience. I think they could send the video via email when you reserve (this allows you to watch even after you get the RV if you want). That would make the pick up process much faster. I declined to watch the video and my process was relatively fast (about 1 hour maybe). Would be nice if you could pick up the RV in the morning. After all you waste the entire day and you start your driving super late by the time you out of there. The drop off was super easy. The RV was nice and in good condition.

The pick up time was too long. The sign in sheet was hard to find and no one greeted anyone when walking in. There was one person manning the phones who was more concerned with fluffing his hair than helping customers. We were given a rundown of the RV and external flaws but nobody made sure that we knew how to work everything. Good thing we did our research beforehand on how to hook up and take apart. Returning the RV was quick and easy. The staff that I dealt with personally was nice which was the redeeming quality of El Monte.

The RV we rented ran very well and we had no mechanical problems. But the queen bed in the back was made of some very light duty foam and needs to be replaced. Anyone who weighs over 50 pounds will feel the piece of plywood below the foam. Also the TV did not come with instructions and when we called their help number the guy I spoke with did not know the answer and said he would call back but never did. And finally we chose this RV because the couch/bed was advertised in the brochure as being long enough for our kid to sleep in but in fact was significantly shorter than advertised and my kid was thus forced to sleep diagonally across the bed. In spite of all this we still very much enjoyed our vacation in the RV.

My first time renting with El Monte, previously with Cruise America, and Bates in St. George UT. Compared with Cruise America, this rental was very clean, low miles, well maintained, and complete in terms of condition and supplies. Waste drain hose was new, as was the supply hose. We brought our own bedding, kitchen, etc. Everything worked as expected. Past C.A. experiences including non functioning micro, torn/dirty upholstery, dirty/leaky drain and water supply hoses, and excitingly a blown front tire (at 70mph), due to a tire defect. I had a question regarding the water inlets, and my phone call was handled quickly and answered my question. If they are located in my next departure town, El Monte will be my choice. Very well run company.

We booked in February for a trip in May from Las Vegas to SF. First, note that a one-way reservation is absolutely complicated to organize. Even 3 months in advance we had to booker a bigger, and much more expensive 22 footer (instead of the cheapest 19 footer) because no other vehicule was avail. If you ask me, I think their fleet is big enough to offer one-ways... But knowing their customers won't change their itinerary, they kind of take advantage of that and tell you they "only" have a bigger one at a bigger price. Since our trip was part during the Memorial Day week-end, we had to pay 5 days in surcharge (178$ per day instead of 129). Plus, our friend who was driving one night hit a rock in a terrible camping road (windy, rocky, narrow). The rock did a big dent on the side and the exhaust pipe of the generator was pulled off a little bit. When we returned the vehicule, the only thing they said is "it's gonna cost 600$". It's okay because we have to assume that we had an accident. What displeased me was the fact that we were trapped there, without counter-expertise to certify that the damage is worth 600$. Now the pros. At pickup, the clerk was really friendly. She showed real interrest in where we were coming from, in who we were, and in the meantime she had our paperwork done. I guess the pickup process is 45 minutes but it didn't feel like it since she was really good at it ;) Although we waited for a very long 1 and a half hour to actually get the vehicule, we found the pickup process was great. The vehicules are REALLY new. Ours even had an auxiliary input, so we could play our ipods (went to walmart to get a 1/8 audio jack). Everything worked perfectly fine. Fridge, generator, radio, lights, water system. We were very very very content with all the features of the vehicule. I totally recommend this means of travel. You can cook wherever you want (there's a table and chairs included below), you can stay warm in high mountain campgrounds, you are free in some ways. You just have to adjust to the lifestyle: it still has some disadvantages like not being able to move as fast as a car in a city, can't actually go to some places since the vehicule is pretty big. Based on our itinerary, I would recommend renting an RV when you're planning on being outside of cities and crowdy places. If I were to do it again, I would not have rented an RV and driven in California. Too much people, too little cheap campground, etc.

Okay the place is very clean and staff very friendly however they have a sign in sheet which is very hard to notice so after waiting around for 40 min no one even asks you if you signed in to know that you are supposed to do that. I randomly figured it out while walking around. The day we reserved the rv it was not busy so we were lucky but it still to over an hour. So the day we go to pick up the rv it was crazy busy. So after waiting 2 hours I finally go up and see that there is still 3 more names ahead of me. So we wait another hour and notice now there are names crossed off below us and we have yet to be helped. We were told to pick up between 1 and 4pm. We arrived at 1pm and did not leave with the rv until 5pm. That is 4 hours, ridiculous. Then while we had the rv it was great and we loved it but there were a few things we had issues with. * The rods at head of bead stick up and are sharp put holes in sheets, along with cut my arm pretty good. *While driving the pantry next to the fridge pops open when you make right turns, and the entire shelf slides out spilling all items, thankfully nothing was glass. *Driver cabinet hydrolics do not work *The sewage hose did not have a proper fitted end for the ground. This was CRAZY all they gave me was a hookup to the rv sewer attachment then a very short hose with not connecting end!!! Just an open hose, like I was somehow supposed to flip the sewer valve while at the same time hold the hose in the hole in the ground without spilling anything! Thanks fully the rv park had a spare hose for us to borrow. *no proper explanation on how to do anything. From reading online this is not a problem specific to EL Monte but yet all rv rentals. They quickly tell you what everything does in about 10 min and that's it. They should offer an hour long video or offer training I would have paid for it. Then they couldn't even figure out how to lower the jack stands and had to get someone else to show us. But yet again NEVER told me that I need to out the jack stands down before doing the hook ups. I assumed they were only if I had a flat tire. Upon returning the rv we knew this time to bring food and drinks as it would take a long time. And it did it took over 2 hours just to drop off the rv, have someone check the gas and for damage then give us a receipt. Even after all of that we really did enjoy the rental. And would use El Monte again, I just think they have a lot they can improve upon.

Haben bei El Monte in Las Vegas ein Wohnmobil für 9 Tage gemietet. Da wir über andere Anbieter bereits etliche Horrorgeschichten gehört hatten waren wir auf alles gefasst. Zum Glück hat sich nichts davon bestätigt. Wir bekamen ein Wohnmobil in super Zustand, blitz sauber und desinfiziert. Beschreibungen und Bedienungsanleitung sind auch auf deutsch erhältlich, was bei technischen Dingen daraus hilfreich sein kann. Der Service und die Übergabe war top. Sehr professionell und freundlich. Auch der dazu gekaufte Küchen-kit war sauber, teilweise sogar neu und in top Zustand. Der Urlaub verlief ohne Zwischenfälle. Alles hat super funktioniert und bei der Rückgabe gab es auch keinerlei Probleme oder Beanstandungen. Rundum ein super Service und ein tolles Team. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Abholung war in San Francisco, Rückgabe in Las Vegas. Achtung: Abholstation in SF ist etwa eine Stunde außerhalb in Dublin, CA. (Positiv: Dort gibt es ein ganz gutes SF Premium Outlets Center) Shuttle Service wird kostenfrei angeboten, was ganz gut ist. Dafür zuvor anrufen. (Wir hatten eine US Nummer von T-mobile, unerlässlich in den USA) In LAS war der Shuttle super schnell und effizient, in SF leider 45 min nach dem Zeitfenster, aber freundlich. Sowohl bei Abholung als auch Abgabe sehr freundliches professionelles Personal. In Dublin auch Deutsch sprechend. Der RV war insgesamt super für uns 2. Ärgerlich war, dass die Schränke noch sehr dreckig (inkl. benutzer Zahnstocher..) waren bei Abholung. Aus Kulanz wurden dafür die Gebühren für einige zu viel gefahrene Meilen erlassen. (Translation) Pick up was in San Francisco, drop off in Las Vegas. Note: SF pickup location is about an hour outside in Dublin, CA. (Positive: There is a very good SF Premium Outlets Center there) Shuttle service is offered free of charge, which is quite good. Call ahead for this. (We had a US number from T-mobile, essential in the US) In LAS, the shuttle was super fast and efficient, in SF unfortunately 45 minutes past the time slot, but friendly.
