Reviews of Cathedral Gorge Campground
Tara Dole
Well kept Campground with flushing toilets and hot showers that cost 25 cents for 5 minutes (be aware that they only accept quarters, though.)
Each campsite has a picnic table, a shade Ramada, and a fire pit. The sites are all pretty level and the ground is easy to get stakes into for tents.
There are also water spigots around the Campground and some provided firewood. There are also power outlets at most if not all the sites.
All around a very nice place to camp for only $20/night per spot.

Great campsite. Very quiet and clean. RV sites with individual electric hookups but shared water spigot. Great hikes and lots of wildlife. Watch out for Mohave Rattlesnakes!
Sue Stimers
Beautiful, unique rock formations. Well maintained park. Flush toilets, free hot showers. Very hot June, July and August.
Donna Smith
This is such a nice campground. There are 22 campsites in the main area withseveral handicap sites and a group site. There is also an area for overflow camping. This campground fills up. We were there for 3 nights and every day the sites were full. The main campground has free showers but the showers near the handicap and group site cost 25 cents for 5 minutes. Those showers are in individual rooms. The camp is very clean as well as the bathrooms. The cost for the sites is reasonable. We were out of state so we paid $20 per night. If you are a Nevada resident, you pay $15 per night. You can park in your site and hike from there throughout the park. We can't wait to go back.

Had a great time exploring and camping here. Went in April 2021 and it was first come, first serve for camping spots. Did not see any rangers so we paid using the handwritten slip and envelopes located by the bathroom and placed in the payment slots. The trail was stunning. I've never seen a place like it.

A gorgeous park! Quiet, serene desert. A great little campground with well spaced sites. Trails to walk, and for those who want more, slot canyons to investigate. If you are looking for a lot of noise, people and activity, this isn't your kind of park. If you enjoy what nature has to offer, this one is a re gem.
Ron Gould
Beautiful area with lots of geological interest. Sandstone weathered into cathedral-like shapes. Lots of slot canyon openings into the formations. Interesting layers of sandstone and rocks.
J Wasson
Great place. Easy access. Lots of hikes. We were able to ride our bikes into the little town close by. They have a nice grocery store.
Claudeen Buettner
Very nice campground and hiking area
It is quiet, pretty much snowbird RVs.
There are water hydrants throughout the park
Each site has electricity. There are no reservations for sites. Its fcfs
There is not a host but park rangers make several rounds each day
Hiking is very good

Quant quiet and clean campground. Showers, bookcase, star gazing platforms. Every site has a fire pit and grill. Minutes from the moon slot canyons.
N H
amazing slot canyons. and the campground is clean with full hookups. with plenty of space between sites.
John Monaghan
Visit when it is not so hot.
The slot canyons are amazing although some are so tight,we did not try to climb in....left them to the more physically fit.
The campground has power only sites and the dust is powder fine.
One men's and one women's shower for the whole campground but, the water pressure was wonderful.
Pesky gnats limited our outdoor sitting time.
Cheryl Crosby
Love the whole thing. The spacing between sites was great the views the shade over the picnic tables the views, the clean restrooms the surrounding areas...perfect getaway

WOW! We were able to visit this beautiful state park on our way south to Arizona this past winter because the forecast weather was finally in our favor. SO glad we were able to visit!! The scenery is absolutely stunning, the hiking is pretty much all easy and yet you can drive to see great scenery without having to hike. The only downside some folks might experience is the lack of access to mobile Internet and telephone communications. The campground is pretty limited in providing access to big rigs, but we were there in early November when there were very few visitors, so finding a suitable site for our 38' 5th wheel was no problem.

This is a nice campground, 24 sites with several pullthrough sites with balance back in. All sites have 20/30/50 amp power, table, shade, BBQ and fire pit. Water spickets are located near camp sites and dump station is located just outside campground. A little warm in summer months but Cathedral Gorge is a beautiful place to visit.
Daniel
Amazing to explore and way more fun than we were expecting. Run thru all the slot canyon mazes and try to find the overflow parking! Great campsite and picnic area as well. Don't forget to drive up to Millers overlook also!
Adam Clark
Cool. Very cool. We got there early and were the only ones there. Sun would have been better at sunset than sunrise, but it was still really amazing. The slots you can get into and explore, etc are super amazing. If you are within an hour of this, it's worth driving out of your way to see.
kathie spahr
Very nice power camping sites! Showers required .25cents but there are 3. Caves and scenery is great. 2 hrs to St George!
Marc Krubsack
Nice campground in Cathedral Gorge State Park. The RV spots have electricity but no water or sewer, however there is a dump station near by.
We would definitely like to come back again for another visit.
Jeff Harrits
A nice but relatively small campground. It is first come first serve in terms of getting a site, so that can make it a bit challenging. We arrived around 11:00 AM as folks were leaving and had two site options. Most sites are roomy (as opposed to tight) and quite level.
Hiking from the campground is easy. I think if we'd have had bicycles we would have explored a few more trails. Will return again in the future.
Bill Cibart
Very nice park has electricity would love coming back someday
Betty Bingman
Nice camp grounds with electricity and water very beautiful you wont be disappointed
Stacy Statham
Nice spots, showers, flush toilets. $15 with extra 10 a night if you want electrical hook up.
Kerri Sims
Clean public bathrooms, showers, fire wood. Each individual camp site has electric, covered picnic table, fire pit, sand under tent site, water faucets.
C G
The campground is well kept. Fills up early but does have overflow camping. Warm, clean showers.
Bryan B.
Great park. RV spots are far apart. Fun place.
Mike Gilbert
Beautiful place. Campground was very nice. My only complaints were that the shower was cold and when we were exploring we looked in the handicap Campground across the street and the handicap shower charges money. I don't think that the disabled should have to pay for showers when the non handicap showers are free.
John Muratet
There are so many things to see in the southeastern corner of Nevada.
Gil
A beautiful campground! It has clean restrooms, hot showers, and even overflow camping spots!
Shirley Gomo
A small, quiet park, surrounded by cathedral shaped spires. Exploring the slot canyons and caves was an unexpected delight.
Brenda Hankla
Beautiful scenery. Satellite friendly and good cell phone service. Get here early as the sites filled up quickly on a Wednesday. The sites have electricity, fire pits and covered picnic tables. Water was available nearby and there is a RV dump station as you leave the park. Flush toilets and showers that give you 5 minutes for a quarter. There are miles of hiking trails that I can't wait to explore.
Zac Harmon
Nice campground. Had nice bathrooms, showers, and power hookups
John Wheat
Nice state park campground. Spots are close, but not too close. Sun shade, table, and fire ring at every spot. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Firewood for sale at campground. Several hiking and biking trails near campground.
Tyler Carter
Awesome campground, amazing, unique landscape to explore. Highly recommend.
travis higley
Very nice campground! There are 22 sites 2 of which are handicap, each site has a table, grill, and shade ramada. Electric hookups are availaibe, and they have running water and flush toilets and heated bathrooms! There are even showers and the firwood is a $5 donation for as much as you can carry. Showers were free for me. Great site, and only $15 a night + $10 if you want hookups, that includes your park entrance pass.
Wreck Master
Beautiful place to hike and enjoy nature...
Grounds were well kept and clean! Definitely recommend!
Curtis Wood (Big Woody)
We stayed at one of the group sites because the campground was closed due to a recent flash flood. Restrooms we're clean and so were the group sites. Campground was quiet and the state park is a cool place to visit.
