Really nice park, but their trails are not well marked or maintained. There are many more trails than are on their map. Highly recommend hiking around the quarry lake for some stunning views. The waterfall is very pretty. The beach is nice and has a floating play area. The water is fairly clear, especially on the far side where you can scuba dive. $5 daily fee is reasonable, camping is available and the sites seem decent.

France Park is a very nice park with lots of trails to walk and explore. It is also the home of the Indy Dive Center with a nice large water based quarry for scuba diving, as well as a beach area for swimmers. A great place to spend an afternoon. Park admission as low as $5.

My husband and I are obsessed with France Park!! We take day trips there every year to hike and relax. They have the most beautiful quarry with great swimming and awesome trails. It's like a beautiful hidden gem that doesn't even seem like Indiana. Highly recommend a visit.

France Park is beautiful, even on a cloudy day. There's a spot for (seemingly for fishing) full of lily pads on one side of the park and another for swimming and kayaking/canoeing on the other side. There's also a waterfall not far past the entrance, but it can't be seen from the road. If you want to see that, you might ask the staff at the entrance where it's at. Anyway, there's plenty of places for photos and hiking. I'm a little sad I didn't get to explore more of the park since we weren't provided with a map or any sort of directions. The water is beautiful and you can find more about the park online than you can at the park itself. There are restrooms and plenty of camping sites for tent camping, possibly more. Like I said, I just went for hiking and photographing the scenery. It's an amazing hidden gem in the middle of nowhere, Indiana.

The last time I camped at France Park was when I was 17 years old and now at 41 it still took my breath away. The best part was that I got to experience it with my 10 year old son. The trails, the quaries, the waterfall, all these things make France park a destination campsite. I'm a primitive camping kind of guy and I enjoy passing on my survival skills to my son but France park offers every level of camping from primitive tent to glamping in your 100k dollar RV. Beautiful and accommodating summarizes the views and stay in this Indiana gem.

Absolutely love this place! Great experience for adults and kids. Disc golf, beach, hiking, camping, play grounds...so much to do. Beautiful waterfall! One of our favorite places to camp and adventure as a couple and as a family

This park is completely beautiful. Amazing views and trails. I especially liked that some trails led to hidden beaches. Trails are a difficult beginner level, requires some decent shoes. Water is crystal blue. The reason I gave it 3 stars is for 2 reasons. First, I read online they charge by car. When we got there they told us it was per person and did not provide a receipt or a map. And overall were a bit rude when I asked. Second, there was a lot of trash on the trails. I realize they can't control visitors but I was surprised by how much trash there was, made me feel disappointed.

This is an absolute gorgeous spot to camp with your family. The CRYSTAL clear water makes you feel like you're no longer in Indiana. Perfect spot for a vacation or even just to spend the day.

This is one of our favorite places to camp that is only 1.5hrs away from home. Love love love taking hikes here! My son loves going swimming! Just discovered they offer scuba diving classes. Great space to set up a tent and escape for a weekend!

Beautiful Lake! The water is absolutely clean and blue. Most Indiana lakes are mucky and brown but not here.... bring your goggles and get a clear view of the aquatic life. We also love the campground here. Beautiful sites where one can feel secluded if the choose. We will come back!

Loved it!! Small waterfall was beautiful...with small knee deep wading area with crawdads to catch. Loved the beach, didn't make it to the fishing pond or trails...definitely coming back!! Employees were very nice and helpful.

Me and my family really enjoy yourself. Thier is a stuff member name James, I wanted give him a 5 star too. Very nice well understanding very professional and nice too. We end up staying 3 more days. Thank you for a beautiful and a great time. We will do it again. Please understand that on Saturday and Sunday they scuba diving so no one aloud pass the rope until 5. They offer to scuba diving for 40$, you all need try it out. Thanks again. Sandy

This is the second time this season that we have been here. First time was a stop over on our way home after picking up our camper. This stay is for week. My 3 boys love it here with so much to explore on the many trails with so much to enjoy with nature. The swimming lake with the nice sand beach is outstanding. The fishing lake looks good but that is tomorrow's adventure. All in all very clean park. Grass was mowed and trimmed on our arrival with trash visible on any sites. The primity sites look inviting and clean. Looking forward to spending more here. Staff is very friendly and helpful great guests with no problems at all. See you around holloween for the haunted woods. 👻

The whole family went camping for the weekend. Myself, spouse, 6 of our grandkids, 2 of our daughters and their spouse's, and my brother and his spouse all went. It was my first time ever going to France Park, I had a great time, didn't get to do a lot but just being with the family was enough. There prices for camping were reasonable, I would definitely do it again. Actually we've already planned on going again around Halloween but without all the kids, lol.

As I see many I mean many reviews not wanting to share this location because it is spot on the best and ideal spot for camping from primitive to full water and electricity .. Many play grounds for the kids .. Clean restrooms can not stress this the most they are clean and since the water is not on till like may 4th the reatrooms that are here are clean as they can get .. Plenty of hiking or biking trails small Rivers and a small but beautiful waterfall .. Cabins are being built and more camping spots are being made and looking good ... The lake looks really clean even though it is really cold right now still is clean .. The staff by far. Is the most friendly bunch you will ever meet James is one of the grounds keepers and electrion he is a blast and is really nice .. I love this place I will definitely call this place my second home

Super cool park with some fairly decent bike trails...no features such as jumps, berms, banks or technical difficulties but fun and close by. Also a lively scuba community which I didnt know Indiana had and makes me want to get back into it. The campsites that I rode up on look not too crowded with trees in between....all in all a really nice park for some fun outdoor activities in an area that lacks fun activities like this

We had a wonderful time at France Park. Our only caveats were that the trails aren’t labeled and the maps aren’t clear, making it difficult to know exactly where you are at times. We were also surprised that they charged per person, not per vehicle. Other than that, it was great!

this was a good place to camp overall. My only dislike is that the hiking trails are not clearly marked. Bathrooms were clean, campsites were ok sized. Lots of snakes (apparently it was mating season though).

Take the bridge over the river to reach the 1st hole of the Disc Golfing, it will be on your right. Came for disc golf and discovered so much more. Disc golf course is long, tiring and amazing. 18 holes and then some alternates. Youve got your open field but with mostly wooded play. All styles of throwing. Astro turf was new this year! Cut out from a field or something. The disc course is located right on the campground. This course is full of death putt opportunities and there are many tee off zones where you can go far far down a valley. I loved playing this course but be well prepared with snacks, bug spray and beverages. This course goes down as one of my favorites and will give you a run for your money. Campsites are big and sweet but down in some primitive spots the ground is clay and rock filled!! Bring a big hammer with big stakes. The rock quarry is a hidden gem and a must see. They've got showers available!! (The showers are very very old looking, at least the one i used). I stayed in primitive camping no electrical, loved it. Many flood dangerrrrr zzzzzone(s). Fire wood is cheap and well priced. Tons of wild life and the waterfall near primitive was the best. Perfect get away place to leave the outside world for a bit. Terrible cell service. I hear they get alot of rain. Awesome, helpful, hard working and friendly staff and they upkeep and constantly maintain the place. Check in building has the fire wood and ice available for sale. Water for shower smelled a little funky. Worked though and was hot each day for me.

Went there to play disc golf. Really fun course, very challenging. Though wish there were markers to the next hole, often went searching to where the next ones were. Following the path often was in the right direction, but better markers would make it easier.

Solid B+ for BEAUTIFUL but full of trash and noisy, nasty people. Owners have their hands full or they poorly manage, hard to tell really. This place is so spectacular but it's been abused by rotten humans.

LOVE France Park. We bring our dogs and camper. We scuba here (26 feet deep in some areas)at the quarry(so much to see under water (school bus, airplane, statues, mining equipment) and oh...the fish! Full hook ups are the only thing missing here! Staff is incredibly helpful and nice.

France park gas been one of mine favorite campgrounds since I was young. Now that I am in my 30s, my wife and I have continued to camp there and even got married there! We love taking the kids on the miles of trails, fishing in the lake, and swimming at the beach! The people running the place are always helpful and friendly. Just wish we could get our hands on a seasonal site (only complaint lol)

Beautiful area. You can see a lot without having to hike too far. Or you can choose to hike quite a bit. Camping area was clean and pretty basic. Very friendly staff. They were updating the playground. So we will be returning with our kids this summer!

Surprisingly nice campground,was not expecting a lot from a county park.Good sites for all types of campers and tents too. Staff is also very nice and helpful. Park itself has a lot also, swimming,scuba diving fishing and hiking. If you like the outdoors, definitely check it out.

I absolutely LOVE France Park! We live right down the road and I've grown up here. Been coming there since I was a baby with my family and now I bring my own family. We camp there, have family outings there, disc golf, hike, swim and visit friends that camp there as well. Its all great and nice for a fun day/weekend getaway for the whole family. The park is nice for the kids. They have a place for volleyball and a basketball court too. Theres a lot to keep ya busy. The beach has seen better days. It wasn't as "rocky" when i was little and the beach had more room but it's still nice. I don't really like that there aren't lifeguards anymore but either way you still gotta take precaution and watch your littles even if there were guards. All in all its a great place to come relax and getaway from life for a few!!

For the last 15years of coming to this park I've enjoyed everything. 2022 has been difficult to do so. Maps out of date and hard to read. Which is important when your trail walking for 2.5 hours. Trails not marked . Employees are clueless and unhelpful. Front check in shack was unorganized and when the older lady answered the phone , the person calling asked what was happening on the beach, the clerk responded with, "I dont know and I dont care. " Signs out of date . Put put course is trash. The food shack still wasnt open on 06-05-2022. Half way through the year and still not open and with no answers as to why. Zipline covard in fishing line and bobbers. And fishing lake was over ran with lily pads and alligator garr , an invasive species of fish that have teeth and eat other fish. This vacation was only fun because what my family did.

One of our favorite campgrounds in Indiana. Always clean site are big and there are alto of activities to do while your there. Our kids like the explore the trails, mountain bike swim in the quarry and play some disc golf. There is also a few playground and mini golf of your interested.

France park is always a great experience, but they have really stepped it up in the last year or two with maintaining. Beautiful scenic quarry, lake and a waterfall, trails and cliffs, and a couple hidden gems for people who know the place well. But where they've improved drastically is their disc golf course. As far as hole lay out and the scenic view it was always good, but it was run down and needed new signage and Tee offs, and they've improved along with making new alternatives to holes. Best disc golf course I've thrown. Perfect for intermediate and beginners.

My family had a lot of fun. We wasn't very happy about loud teens on golf carts riding by our campsite until 3 a.m. but overall the beach area was awesome and our son had fun fishing at the pond.

The park was okay, but there seemed to be no designated quiet time in place. People were still up yelling, talking loudly, driving golf carts, and all that at 3am. Need to enforce a quiet time so people can sleep at night. The park does have a nice water fall and the place that it is located shares my name, so that was an added bonus.

Beautiful place but we were too early! The water wasn't on yet! Not really a problem since we are self contained but the shower I skipped might have made a difference to someone else! Lots of singing birds the ride down too the waterfall was great All in all a great place to stay

Such a lovely park. The camping set up is unique. I can imagine with done of the cool spots to pitch a tent, it would be quite fun to camp here. I only came here for a day and enjoyed hiking around the quarry. The views are incredible.

Great Campground, tons of golf cart trails, friendly staff, awesome beach for summer time camping. The bath houses are kept clean as well, even though we rarely use them as we have a camper. Sites are pretty good size too.

I stumbled upon this gem last year and fell in love immediately! First, we just spent the day there. We enjoyed the hiking trails, the waterfalls, and creek stomping so much that we came back the following weekend to camp. We had a lovely campsite. It was a fabulous place to camp! However, we visited again a week ago and the trash laying all over EVERYWHERE was disappointing. I was very saddened by this as it turned a beautiful place into a nasty site real fast. We are planning a father's day family campout here and I'm praying the trash problem has been remedied. Fingers n toes crossed.

Nice clear lake for swimming. Some necessities available on site. At least two playgrounds kids enjoy. One quiet place with porch swings set up for adults to kick back. Several restroom/shower houses. Clean. Quiet. Family friendly. Reasonable price.

Its not too often ill say this but WOW. My family has been searching for so old school family fun. We are campers preferable no power no water just us and nature. Anyways we found this gold nugget cheap camping prices that make you never want to leave. Outstanding views waterfalls fishing swimming quarry bike trails and so much more. If your not wanting to camp but would like to enjoy all this fun. They have a gate fee of 5$ per person. Absolutely what we have been looking for.

We love to camp here. Such a beautiful place. Half the disc golf course is in the woods so thats a challenge! Spent most my time trying to find my disc. But nonetheless we love it here and camp here several times a year. Sometimes we just go to visit for the day $3 to get in.

Next time we go, we're going to ask for a more secluded area. But still with water n electric hookup for our camper. We were put next to people that had lots of kids. And about 5 tents set up. They were very loud. We had 1 day only of peace and quit!! All we heard was yelling and fighting with their kids! Other than that, we loved the place. And the owners and workers are so nice and polite.

We camp here for a week every year with our family. It doesnt have 100% of the amenities of a state park, but certainly has more than enough to keep everyone having fun. We generally spend 2 weeks and another 4 or 5 weekends camping at various parks each year and this is always a place our kids ask when we are going back!

France Park is easily one of the most beautiful parks in Indiana. The fellow guests may raise a ruckus sometimes, but the park itself is stunningly beautiful, with swimming, camping, fishing, and some fantastic hiking. It's really easy to rough it in style!

Camped for 6 days. Nice park,clean and quiet. Lots of nice hiking and biking trails,disc golf course, beach for swimming and a separate lake for fishing. Beach area used to be a rock quarry we were able to take our kayaks out beyond swimming area, water was so clear you could see large rocks still on the bottom.

Great area to have a short family vacation. My family camps here when we want a quick getaway without having to go too far. We don't recommend going on a holiday weekend like labor day. It's very crowded then. But any other time is a pleasant experience. This park offers a variety of activities such as hiking, scuba diving, zip lining, and has a nice little beach. The primitive camping spots are separated decently. You can hear other campers sometimes, but it's not disturbing. We prefer more private, but this area is definitely a great back up.

I love going here and hiking the trails. I am not happy they raised the entrance fee to 5.00 per person. So a total of 10 00 for my husband and I to take our dog for a hike. Seems exorbitant. Especially in winter when nobody is using the place anyway. This is probably my last trip here because of this. Usually we are here 5 or 6 x a year.

This is a great place to swim! Nice warm water, snack stand, cheap to get in and a place to air up your tubes! There is a awesome trail and waterfall as well. Only down side that is the zip line is broken and they don’t let you jump off the cliffs anymore.

This is my favorite place to go camping in all of Indiana. My family and I went here every year growing up. There are beautiful cliffs wrapped around the lake, great hiking trails that make you feel like you are in a whole different state. Also there is scuba gear you can rent so you can explore the vehicles that are sunk in the lake .

This is an Indiana state park. There is a deep spring fed lake (old gravel pit) that offers swimmers and scuba divers an interesting place to enjoy. There is old machinery at the bottom of the pit to enjoy as you scuba. Playgrounds and camping from full power and water or primitive camping. It's six dollars per person. Veterans are free.

Lot's of trails, the quarry is great to swim in with lots of scenery. I've heard if you go out kinda far into the water you can see old mining equipment. The water fall is super cool. They have disc golf also. Lots of places to fish here too

Really great for the hiking and if you have a golf cart, it is welcome as well. Seemed to be more for a little older crowd even with the three playgrounds I saw. Only a few people actually followed the speed limits and I never saw them inforced. For a matter of a fact the employees even drove way too fast next to the camp sites. Of course, you could have this anywhere, but it seemed we had bad luck with unruly kids that were accompanied by adults alike. We are a mellow well behaved family and would like that from others as well.

I just started camping with my husband and his friend group of about 4 other families 2 years ago. Had never been until then... We have a popup, and have always gone to mississinewa.. This is my first time at France Park. First of all...the showers here, are whole rooms, with locks on the door. 🤯 ❤️ Secondly, We have a little boy, he's non verbal and had autism, we have always struggled with him being able to use his tablet for communication, with no wifi.. Not here! Perfect wifi, ALL DAY! The hookup situation is tough, because you share one between 2 sites, so you're probably going to need an extension cord. I like to be frugal, so I really wanted to use a dogbone instead, but, once we got there, was very happy my husband insisted on getting the 30 amp cord, 1. For the length we needed and 2. because the lines were a little 'sketchy` looking. Not unsafe! But juuuust enough to make you tilt your head a little. Lol. But seriously, I told him as we were packing up, that this is the best experience I've had, I don't want to go anywhere else.. I'm still getting a little pushback from him about Halloween at mississinewa haha! But, that's my only concession. Every other time, France Park. 100%

It's a nice place as my first time being there. The signing is terrible and we got lost definitely a guessing game on which way to take. The beach isn't very beach like, lots of rocks but the water itself is clean and clear. A nice swimming place. And also I had no idea it cost until I pulled in. That should be the first thing on the front page. Instead of reading through unnecessary info in order to find an answer ... Back in Ohio we didn't need to pay to swim at beaches but everywhere is different 😎

We camped here just this past weekend, the park was clean, and the staff was friendly. The hiking trails are pretty; the lake was pretty even though the beach was flooded we made it work. The few things I didn't like were the fact there were so many golf carts/side by sides this weekend, they didn't follow the speed limits which was concerning since there were a lot of kids this weekend and I was afraid they were going to get hit. Along with vehicles that were going through, none of them went the speed limit. That would be something that should be enforced. There were also young kids as young as ten years old and up to teens were driving they were driving very fast and passing cars, I think they should have to obey the speed limits just as much as the vehicles driving. Overall the campground was beautiful, has lots to do, such as fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain bike riding, off-roading only for golf carts, and ATV's. ( We would have loved to take our 4Runner through there too). We plan to come back to a less busy weekend.

Gorgeous park, leashed animals allowed. Modest daily entry fee if you just want out for the day. Only complaint is that they apparently dont charge by the campsite. On two separate occasions I've gone to camp with people that already had a site. Their rules state that two tents are allowed per site, or one RV and one tent. Yet you're charged that fee as well... All other campgrounds I've been to charge for the site. You dont get charged an additional fee just because another person is there. Hotels dont charge another room fee just because someone else is sleeping in the other bed. Not sure if this is standard practice anywhere else, but very strange to me. All in all, a very clean, beautiful campground. Just beware of the additional $20-25 fee they'll charge guests for the site you've already reserved.

We really enjoyed our time there except for garbage everywhere on the ground. We all walked down to the beach and searched for any signs saying "No pets are allowed". There weren't any. So we took our little dog down there and he was playing on the shore while on a leash and we noticed 2 other dogs also on the shore a little ways away. For some reason just my dog got kicked off the beach and as we were leaving the angry security guard yelled at us again while we were trying to leave. So unfortunately we will never be going back.

Great Park. Loved the staff. Great environment. Well taken care of. Would be 5 star if could dive through the week, weekend only. I payed to get in the park per person. Okey No problem, Then I payed $20 to dive per person hmmm, Then I get hit hard w a $10 fill per tank. Most places only charge $5 a fill or offer a 12 fill card for $40 to $50 give or take. I get it the fill station is expenses and its convenient blah blah blah. But still salty. I actually brought 4 tanks to fill after class this past weekend when seen the price just waited to fill today at my local dive store for $5 each. I will be back but will always make sure to fill before I GO.

We have lived in logan for about a year and a half and never been here. We have heard a lot about it so my hubby and i decided to take a look....I LOVE IY.T. There is quite a bit to do from disc golf ⛳ to the beach 🌴 to fishing 🎣. Of course camping. There is even a BEAUTIFUL waterfall with a spot set up to take pictures. I cannot wait to go back and take the kids!!! I think we found our new spot. The beach area is a little small but its nice. There is also a concession stand. There were a few people peeling out in the gravel and throwing it up...but you will have hellraisers anywhere you go lol. The grounds seem very well kept. OH AND THERE IS A POND COVERED WITH LILY PADS!!! ITS JUST SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. The only thing i wish there were more of....IS CABINS....THERE IS ONLY 1 😥

This is a great place for primitive camping during the week, although on weekends and holidays it can range from bustling to straight up packed. All primitive camping spots have a fire pit and many are equipped with ample trees for even multiple hammocks. With a good network of trails around it, a beautiful vista, swimming, and a zip line over the quarry (which I've never ridden but looks like fun), as well as an auxiliary fishing lake, a small waterfall and a disc golf course, it's definitely one of my favorite "local treasures" to get away from it all. It DOES get a little littered (especially the beach area), and the raccoons are extremely wily, which contributes to the problem, but that can be handled with care to lock up ALL foodstuffs when away from the site and overight. The only other issue is bugs at some times of the year, but I mean... you're talking about camping in Indiana, so it comes part and parcel. All in all, I spend probably a week or more here every summer and fall, in one night stints - for price and convenience of location, it's hard to beat for an overnight jaunt from Lafayette, Kokomo, or of course Logansport.

I love coming here, and ive never been disappointed with any adventure ive made here, they do wood delivery here now instead of traveling up from your camp site to the office you can watch for the gator n' trailer mike and james drive around and they are absolutely amazing guys they load and unload the wood for you and its less of a hassle and mess. Campsite was dirty we had to do alota work b4 we could set up are tent and there firewood they sale is way over priced other than that we had fun
