Reviews of Spring Creek Park
We enjoyed the free RV campsite here. You need to make a reservation online and you can stay up to 7 days. You can make a new reservation (2 weeks in advance) after 30 days. The hookup (electricity, water and sewer is free) there are restrooms with hot showers (need an access code for the shower. Pretty neat and there's a lot to do in the park.
Great trails, plenty of parking and lots of deer. There are multiple different trails with entrance signs and mile markers along the trails. At this park, there are plenty of picnic tables and bathrooms. There is also an RV section to camp overnight. I was surprised to see how many deer I spotted on my hike today. Overall, great park.
This park is pretty amazing. It's got crazy history, the only natural stream in the county, big hills for the area, and tons of huge, old, beautiful trees.
There's also a basketball court, trails, a few playgrounds, pavilion, etc.
Did I mention the place has a powerful energy? It does, or at least my son and I feel it. And that's not the kind of thing we usually talk about.
Also, a big thanks to the staff who keeps the park up, and everyone who made it possible.
Spring Creek Park is one of my favorite parks in the area. On this trip we were there with the local Boy Scout troop as they camped overnight. My young daughter and I were able to To search out and discover many types of fungi she really enjoyed it. Quite often you can see deer at this park. Those just looking for a place that’s quiet here’s a good place to go.
Clean, well maintained park with wide trails. Good for walking or running. We had our XC meet here. The bathrooms were clean.
We scheduled a camp out and it ended up being 15F that morning. No sweat, still had a blast. Tent camped at the large open areas in the front with big fire pits. Kids played on the huge 3 story playground and we took a nice hike on the improved dirt trails before it got too cold. Due to the freeze the grounds crew had secured all bathrooms and water supply, but they positioned the cleanest port-a-lets I've ever seen near all the camp spots so we were good. All in all, a very fun trip and a very nice park ranger overseeing stuff out there!
We love this place. Plus free 30/50 FHU campsite for our motorhome. Did I mention it's free? We walked part of the loop trail this morning. No wildlife sightings except squirrels. We will definately return.
Supper nice and clean park for everyone. Camping, picnic, sports all around a good spot.
Great, quiet park. Small but fun 9 hole disc golf course. Just beware of the first hole as the creek is deep right next to it-you might lose your disc!
Very nice and well kept park. So much space for everyone to do their own thing. Super cool that they do tent and RV camping.
WOW...what a beautiful park! We stayed in one of the seven RV sites available within the park. The sites are all back-in, full hook-ups on level concrete pads and clean, coded showers in the bathroom right across from the sites. The park is very well maintained, clean, green with mature trees and scrubs. This huge park is a park with ball fields, basketball courts, family picnic areas and a pavilion. Book on-line to apply for your stay (only a seven day stay is available) the parks and rec. will approve if available for the dates you request. We loved our stay and do recommend to anyone looking for a spot in Tomball, Texas area. Tomball is a big city with all the shops, restaurants, fast food, big chain stores and pretty much anything you could imagine!
Had a wonderful time with the family. Tons of children were outside in force. Everyone had toys to share. Just be sure to bring water bottles as the water fountains are still down. Also my personal experience could have been better had I remembered they have grills everywhere so I could of brought hotdogs to grill! All in all though a beautiful day and wonderful time.
We camped here for a week. The campsites are small, but adequate and free! RV spots are level and concrete. The park has walking trails, two playgrounds, a disc golf course and so much more. Lots of open green space, lots of picnic tables and trash cans. A 40 minute drive into Houston, or 15: minutes to the Woodlands.
We've been coming to this park for over a decade and it is always fantastic! As the kids have grown older there are still tons of activities for them. It really is an all-ages location. It's nice to have access to restrooms versus port-a-potties.
Today, the excitement of the weekend has settled. My beautiful cousin left this morning. It is a gorgeous Sunday and I can’t bring myself to stay indoors despite the tasks I need to complete. So I headed out to explore another area park - Spring Creek Park in Tomball. My daughter, use to come here for track practice. In those days of raising my family I suppose I was too busy to really stop and appreciate this place. Today, it feels like a place I have never been. I see it through very different eyes. I so wish I had been wiser and had taken the time to slow down and breath all those years ago. But it is not too late for me to do that now. So I choose to do just that. Slow down, look around, appreciate and breathe. I see a family enjoying a picnic together; a grandfather walking with his granddaughter; an adult man enjoying his remote control trucks (smiling and laughing); a baby sleeping in a stroller as his mother pushes him around the park; a dad playing ball with his young children; and a woman sitting under a tree in her wheelchair reading a book. This is good.
Great place to walk on trails
Fun place for the kids to play
Love this park… great experience with the outdoors. Clean and the staff is amazing too. I enjoyed my stay. Will visit in the near future.
Great park with FHU Rv sites for Free!!! Reservation system is a bit tricky to navigate but well worth it
9 hole Disk golf course is decent.
Cool walking trails.
Lots of room to let kids be kids.
Free camping, vast picnic and hiking areas, and overall just a beautiful, well loved old park. Baseball field, volleyball court, tennis courts, 2 playgrounds, archery range, 6-hole disc golf course, gaga ball, and lots of hiking trails down to the creek.
There are also 2 historic sites here, an old confederate powder mill and a 200 year old (supposedly haunted) cemetery. You can take free cemetery tours and even dig up artifacts with an expert during the annual Spring Creek Heritage Festival in May.
A very nice well maintained city park with walking trails a large covered basketball court, RV parking, archery area, scout camping, and more. Lots of picnic tables which are clean. Lots of parking. The playground area has a very tall slide and swings plus lots of climbing areas.
This is one of the most awesome and well maintained parks around, right up there on par with Burroughs! They have a free archery range as an added bonus.
Great place to tent camp. 4 LARGE tent sites with electric for extension cord and water spicket/fountain. Also has fire pit at each tent site. I used my own smaller fire pit for cooking. Clean bathrooms and showers. Staff is very helpful and friendly and allowed me to drive into tent site for unloading of gear. After unloading, move vehicle to parking spot. (very close)...Reservation only. Use website to complete request form. Speedy reply from office. Enjoy !
Great park. There are a variety of things to do here including tent and RV camping, two playgrounds, sports fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, 9 hole disc golf course, archery range, covered pavilions, about 1.5 miles or hiking/biking gravel trail, several public restroom, and multiple picnic tables scattered throughout the park. HCP4 does a good job maintaining the park as the grass is usually well cut and free of most debris and there are often special projects done by outside groups as well. Boy scout troops and middle/high school cross country meets are common here so sometimes it is pretty busy, particularly on Saturday mornings, but for the most part there is plenty of space and share for a few hours of outdoor activity.
We mainly come here to run a few miles or to let our son play on the playgrounds when the weather is nice.
We camped out n played all day nice trails n playground. Camp sights are clean n the kids had a blast
I love this park. It is very big & also clean. I also love the cross country trail.
Nice park. Very large. Walking paths. Jogging trails through the park. Basketball court. There's camping and RVing available.
I love Spring Creek Park. The loop trails are 1.5 to 2miles, you can easily run or walk 4miles here doing 2 rounds. Sometimes you can see Deers too. It is a great place to bring your family for a picnic or to walk your dogs. Some people camp here on the weekends. There are also some basketball courts, and kids playground! Small park but beautiful, it has everything.
Update: When I thought this park couldn't get any better, they added a disc golf course. It is the best park around! Totally recommended.
Nice park with a lot of different things. Many walking/hiking trails. RV and tent camping. Picnic areas, clean restrooms etc. Love taking our pup there too.
This is a very nice park to camp. It's clean, quiet, just beautiful
Such a nice hidden jem. Park has great walking trails
Cool playgrounds. One for bigger kids, one for toddlers and smaller kids. Good hiking trails. Lots of picnic tables
It's a nice place to go and walk the dogs or have a picnic. I do wish they would clean out some of the dead underbrush by the creek so you can see it better!
Great park. Rangers are helpful and amenities were nice.
Such a nice place to walk in, and observe nature. More people need to do their part and pick up the trash they leave. Keep the trails beautiful you darn kids.
What a really complete park it is. It has spots to camp, archery, tennis, basketball and more... you can reserve places with pavilion to celebrate birthdays or others special days.
Large park with great spaces for the kids to play. Large Pavillion and well set up. Clean.
Awesome park good for running and bbqing, also really good to bike around, it has camping grounds and really clean bathrooms, awesome place to throw parties and it’s really shady very daily friendly and a great place to take your dogs for walks overall a great place to hang out and really close to 249 highway.
As always had a great time at this park with my son, we come here quite often.
We had a company team building with activities here and it was really fun! Pretty decent size park and very clean
Beautiful park and awesome RV trailer area, would have given a 5star if there were more trailer spots and also when reserving allow outsiders to stay before regular locals. Had my family in but had to leave early due to many Tomball locals staying in the weekend and outsiders having to leave.
Always a great place to go to be outdoors, the back where the creek is at, is the best place to explore, wish ppl wouldn't kill the snakes, especially the NON poisonous ones. Like in the picture,
Wonderful park. I was there on a perfect Sunday in January and there weren't many people there. There are actual hills! Low and rolling but actual hills.
Came here to run my RC truck. Meet a couple other guys out here with RC trucks. Very nice place. Will be coming back on the weekends to do some tiny truckin
Very pretty and quite place to camp .People are friendly.I will be back for a short camping trip.
I love this place! We're here on an almost daily basis, taking the dogs for a walk in the woods.
The staff are always awesome, the park is extraordinarily well-kept, and the wooded trails are a welcome break from the sun on hot summer days.
In the winter, when the sun sets so early in the evening, cutting into the available daylight for late strolls or dog walks, the lights from the tennis courts provide plenty of visibility around the adjacent ball fields to be able to get in some evening exercise.
Love how the trails are wrapped up in the forest and being able walk down the creek!
We went there for a birthday party. It was a great location. We were under a large pravelon that have plenty picnic tables. Very clean park.
Love the little trails. Great for walking the dogs and getting my knee replacement back into shape.
Fairly bysy in warmer months, hut nov-dec-jan-febr 1-3cars at 8 am. Love it. Like a nice oasis off 249. No kids, just single adults.
Very nice county Park. Clean, well mowed. Pavilions available, picnic tables and restrooms. Wide variety of areas to visit including very old cemetery discovered in the past 10 years. We visited during Tomball Heritage Festival arriving to see cannons fired during Union/Confederate battle reenactment.
I love this park because it has a lot of shade. I go jogging here and it has a lot of trails and hills. This is the perfect place to come and relax. Early in the morning you can see a lot of deer. There is also camping and RV spaces here.
I gave it four stars because There was no water There is only a ditch with little bit of water in it! However it is very serene and lots of trees lots of picnic tables and a running track where you can run around the park. There are a lot of Runners and a lot of people walking their dogs make sure you have a leash but it is a great place for a picnic as the trees will block this the Sun, it is a nice place to get away from the city!!
Nice place to play volleyball, tennis, baseball etc. Grounds were not immaculate or even level, lol. But nice to go hang out with friends and family.
Great park, we had a wonderful day with family for Easter
This park is one of my favorite. There is a lot of nature:creeks, woods, trails... closes at 10 pm.
Has a big playground and picknic tables in several different places. My favorite are the trails you can walk or ride a bike on.
Really good spot if you want to go exploring. Found this nice spot after walking around for a bit and climbing around. Lots of spiders
Had a great 'Capture the Flag' party and wiener roast for a wonderful teen Bday party! Since the park closes at 10, it's a great place to close the party down at a reasonable time. The kids loved it
Beautifully kept park and surrounding grounds. Attended for the first time for the war reenactment. Very well organized.
Beautiful, clean, quiet, nice trails, friendly staff and felt very safe in our motorhome camping for 5 nights.
Thank You to all that make this possible.
Nice place very well kept. Treats the trail riders extremely well. Thanks a ton for all you do!
Very nice park to spend time with your family. There's alot of space to fly kites, play soccer, anything in general. There was also a small river in which we caught some fish in. A great place to go by when looking for a park.
I love running at Spring Creek Park. It is a beautiful place. I like to play tennis at Jerry Matheson park though because tennis courts at Spring Creek are not kept up very well
Neat place. Good for kids, dog, and long quiet walks.
Very well maintained lots of parking lots of things to do with kids and you can play a round of disc golf it's also a great place for family photos
Very clean and maintained park. Nice shaded R.V. Camp pads. Hiking trails for the adventurous.
Beautiful park with so much to do!
Great park and wonderful staff. Showers are awesome.
The employees who manage the Park are amazing! Even with our campsite becoming flooded by a water pocket or busted water line; they were willing to relocate us if it was possible. All sites were reserved, but we gladly stayed and continued too still have fun. You can't beat 2weeks of Free Camping!!! My wife and I are in 💕 love with Spring Creek Park. Can't wait to finish our stay and immediately reserve our site again. We will definitely be returning!!!!!
Awesome outdoor park with plenty of shade and playgrounds for kids. You may even catch a few deer lounging around.
Been running at this park for years. Quiet and the hills do push you to the limit.
There's a lot more happening in the park than first appears to be the case. There are archery ranges, frisbee golf, a basketball court, playgrounds, lots of picnic areas, and walking trails. We noticed a lot of campers there, so if you own a camper this might be for you. Make sure you drive up and down the length of the park to get a good sense of where you want to spend your time. There's a lot of fun to be had! :-)
Very nice park. Nice to walk around.
I had the opportunity to camp here and had a great time with the trails , disc golf which was new to me and archery had so much fun. Chase was working during my stay and kept it clean and in order he was so helpful. I will definitely try to return. I love this park
I had never been there before, it is a nice park.
Love this park. I enjoy taking my dogs for a walk, on their lovely trails. I love the up keep of the park, although, I have seen some trash, or such, in the creek bed of the trails, but otherwise, it's got everything you want. Playground area for kids, and a separate ground for older kids, such as the basketball pavilion. They've got tennis courts, and volleyball too. I believe there's even an area where you can practice archery. The bathrooms are amazingly clean. I like that their's park rangers, or should I say staff, driving around, always checking to see, if there's anything out of the ordinary going on. I feel safe, when I am there with my dogs. Thanks for being my favorite place to go to, when I want to relax, walk, and have time to myself. Forgot to mention the amazing outdoor pavilions with bbq grills that can be rented out for events.😊❤
Very nice park, always well maintained when my family has visited. It has several playgrounds, and a basketball pavilion, and a few covered areas for gatherings. There are restrooms in different parts of the park, too.
Great local park with walking trails and small camping area 👌🏼
Absolutely recommended for day visitation or brief exposure to nature. …
Great place to have a nice cook out. Very clean bathrooms and trash cans everywhere so there is no mess at all. Love this place. I'm going to surprise my wife with a steak dinner that I will prepare myself right in front of her, she's going to love it!!!
Such a beautiful park. Well maintained. Great for walking 💯 …
Made an Eco System Jar today using creek water and sand. Can't wait to see how it goes!
Very nice clean, beautiful park
Nice environment however we were there for a cross country track meet and the running path was just awful, no markers, no officials directing runners. Quite a lot ran more than they should.
We love this park! Large slides for older kids, walking trails, beautiful open areas, small park for littler kids. It's our favorite in the area.
Love the park. Would be 5 stars if the basketball court had some improvements.
The fencing is the worst. No fence right before a huge decline that you have to run down to fetch the ball but a fence that's too short on an INCLINE that forces you to walk around it every time it bounces over. Designed by a psychopath if you ask me.
The water fountain is not drinkable.
Bonus: It'd really be nice if there were some wind-breaking structures. Maybe surrounding the court with padding so that the balls stop bouncing into the mud and bringing sand and dirt onto the court as well as blocking a little bit of the wind.
Family park with nice trails and open areas
Easy and immersive nature trails. Disc golf course. A cute playground tucked away from the road with ample parking. Playground is super tall with amazing slides. Even the adults had fun.. Feels much more rural and open than its city location. Eight free RV spots for up to a week at a time. Be sure to book in advance.
So spacious! Cool playground for the 5 year old. Did some fielding and grounding of baseball with the 10 year old. They have Frisbee golf, Archery if you have a bow want to practice. And we always have to walk the Creek and see if there are any frogs or maybe skip a rock ot 2:)
It's a pretty decently sized park and is great if you're looking for the "path less traveled" feeling. There are little gems scattered around the park that make it feel like you've discovered a new path. I enjoyed myself while there but I will say this may not be the park for you if you're looking for very established trails, although if you like roughing it a bit you can find some really nice spots .
Two playgrounds, archery range, baseball field, basketball court, tons of picnic tables, walking trails, Creek, pavilions. It's a great park with lots of room for everyone!
I love this park, the trail is awesome because it goes in the middle of the woods and it can be up to 2 miles if you walk all around the park.. there are slides for toddlers and big kids. Its just so pieceful!! Grate place to relax❤
Improvements have been made to this park. The park now offers two play grounds, archery area, Vollyball court, Tennis court, Frisbee golf course, and hiking trails It also offers covered areas for basketball, yoga and exercising or just relaxing. The park has nice clean bathrooms also. This park is dog friendly!
The kids love this place. The big slide is one of the biggest slides I've seen, also has variety and multiple slides. The larger playground has lots of shade from the tall beautiful pine trees. It's always relaxing, quiet, and FUN! There is also a smaller park for the little ones. The have a large number of swings and we never have not been able to swing because there weren't any available. Trails are beautiful and well kept, perfect for walking, running and biking. They even have a cute little bridge over small creek we take pictures on as a family. There is a baseball field, soccer field with goals, and basketball court. There is so much this park has to offer.
I love this park! Have been going since I was a teenager but hadn't been in some years. Stopped in and I have to say its only gotten better. Added archery ranges and frisbee golf. Clean, quite and beautiful oasis in the middle of a growing city.
Very nice park with lots of potential activities. Yet easy to find a peaceful location.
Such a fun park to meet up with friends and let your kids play. The big park was super busy as we went on a sunny day. Had a great time
This is by far one of my favorite parks in the area! It's got a great playground for kids, basketball and volleyball courts, and a huge spread of camping grounds for tents and RV's alike! Tons of BBQ pits as well and tables. Looking for a quiet afternoon with the family? I'd definitely start here!
Family fun everywhere! We always play some volleyball and baseball and basketball while we're there!
Small but very nice park. There are limited RV spots but they are full hookup and very well kept.
Park is very safe, there are park rangers around constantly and the gates are locked at 10 PM.
Recommend to any RVers to stop and spend few days.
Make sure to make reservation ahead of time.
I was able to host my daughter's mini graduation dinner here and it was the perfect spot!!!! I rented the large pavillion and hosted 30 people so we could continue to social distance while celebrating this special occasion. It was def hot outside but the area is all shaded and one benefit of hosting is the kitchen has ac so when you need to cool off for a sec you can always take a break there. The kitchen had a fridge, stove, large stainless steel prep area and a large sink. There is a playground near by that the kids can play at and you can still see them from the pavillion area. The only thing that did bother me was there was another family that rented an area near by and that party rudely kept walking through our pavillion area to get to other sections of the park, other than that we loved it!
It's a big park compared to others in the area. But very well maintained and it has lots of facilities. You can camp there too. All the trails are nicely maintained. There are many to choose from depending on your preference.
Spring Creek is a great park. There are two playgrounds (for different ages), and the playground for older kids has the tallest slide I've ever seen at a public park! There are also plenty of pavilions, picnic tables, and barbeques. There is camping available, as well as RV hookups, and the bathrooms and showers are generally clean. Plenty of great trails for hiking, as well. Not to mention disc golf courses for those who are so inclined.
Tl;dr- great park with something for everyone. Would recommend.
Beautiful, spacious, and secluded. This park offers campsites, miles of trails for hiking or biking, open fields, baseball fields, parking, playgrounds, restrooms, and a free ARCHERY RANGE. The archery range is why we first started going and came to love it for much more. The range is small but private and is often unoccupied. Wonderful park!
One of the nicest parks in Harris County. Been going there since the 70’s. Very well kept, safe environment for families. Large camping area and RV spots with full hookups.
Lots of room to run and play, playgrounds, and sports field/courts. The kids had a blast. We were there for a birthday party and the pavilion they rented had an outdoor charcoal grill which was in good shape.
Fantastic Park that has 8 RV spots that can be reserved for a week max use. Be sure to reserve at least 2 weeks ahead of time. Oh...it's FREE! Full hookup 50 amp service. Plenty to do in the park. Archery range, Disc Golf course, hiking trail lighted basketball court, lighted tennis court.
Great park with trails and game courts. Very clean and family oriented. Free campsites if you make a reservation 2 days in advance. Bathrooms are very clean and have showers. Great to bring a picnic lunch, many table around.
I really enjoy this park. My kids love walking in the dry river beds looking for rocks. And my husband loves that he can play disc golf there also. The kids also liked the play ground! Great park!
Beautiful park, great playgrounds for smaller kids and a great playground for larger kids, great park to take your dogs for a walk in the trails and great place to take your family for a nice day in the park. Picnic tables with barbecue pits, fishing, civil war powder mill monument, Spring Creek runs throughout the back of the park, multiple public restrooms throughout the park, public showers, tent camping, RV camping, tennis courts, baseball/softball/kickball field, small and large pavilions for parties and reunions with kitchen appliances and accessibility, handicap accessible throughout park, basketball courts, park is usually open on some holidays but closed on all major holidays. Usually opens around 6AM and closes at 10PM but the north side(back of park) closes at dark.
One if my top parks pct. 4 does a really great job at keeping up with the location and making sure it's well kept up with. Has a very large event center.
We enjoyed the Cypress Relays at Spring Creek Park. The park was clean and well staffed for this large race event. My daughter also trains at Spring Creek weekly and enjoys running the trails and hills.
Very nice park with 8 RV sites (full hookup) and rent camping. Oh, and did I mention its FREE! But you must reserve a ace 2 weeks in advance on line! Clean showers & restrooms. Gates close at 10pm for security. They have covered & lit basketball courts, volleyball, lit tennis courts, pavilions you can schedule in advance, disc golf course and an archery field...and yes, all free! The RV sites are level and paved concrete with 30/50 amp connections, water & sewer, a trash can staff empties but no picnic table so bring your own table & chairs. Plenty of local restaurants and things to do.
This park is really big and great for any outdoor activities. They have various playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, archery practice area, walking trails, and a lot of space to have picnics, relax, play games, or run around! I enjoyed the whole afternoon here!
Great park for picnics or playing sports. Very nice sand volleyball court. They also have some nice looking campsites near the back of the park, although I have yet to camp here. The staff is also very friendly and does a great job keeping the place up!
This park is really nice has so many pavilions and they have showers and bathrooms.
Security in this park is all the time.
The mantenaince of the park is really all the time.
You can camp here and make events.
Rv spots available make a reservation 2 weeks in advance too.
Has many different trails and is overall a very beautiful park. there is a lot to explore and there is a big play area for children. it also has many bathrooms. it was a pretty park that was very nature oriented, and it had a lot to offer.
A great local park. Good trails for running or biking. It has several playgrounds for kids, camping grounds, RV park, volleyball and basketball courts, plus lots of open fields for soccer or football, and there's even an archery range. There's also a pavilion for larger events and plenty of restrooms. It's never crowded unless you count the mosquitos (bring bug spray!).
A nice park. We were camping and the campsites toward the back of the park are much better for a wilderness feel than the picnic area out front (I have used both with various groups). The picnic area out front is too close to Brown road to really feel like it is an escape from civilization.
Well maintained. Several party/ play areas. Lots of trails/ creek beds to explore. Covered Basketball court. Constable patrol. Leashed dogs welcomed. Great for family time or the Get-to- know- you date
Had alot of helpful employees. Very very clean park and restrooms. Basketball court is full size , enough room for volleyball, softball field is amazing. Nice wilderness walks and bike trails !!
Good place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Very nice park. It is great for a day outing or for camping. There are nice places to walk and the playgrounds are great! Facilities are always very well kept. Definitely one of our family favorite places to visit!
I have been coming here for over 10yrs now and always had a good time out here
Spring Creek Park has several things to keep the family busy. They have two play grounds (one for smaller kids, another for all ages). They have basketball courts, pavilions, camping sites, archery range, fire pits, walking trails, and picnic tables. We enjoy going to the playground where they have an enormous slide. We also love going for walks because it is a very spread out park.
Great park for the community or anyone that wants a smaller experience of camping life. wel maintained and clean park, bathrooms and showers. Nice trails, playgrounds and water fountains thruout park and it is all free!!!
Park is wonderful for family events or a good stroll wonderfully maintained and after a jog they even have CLEAN hot showers . Wonderful place .
Love 2 things about this park, ok 3, large area of trees, alot of walking around soace, & the 2 different size play scapes that covers all ages. There is disc golf, & hoops. It's clean, & there are bathrooms.
#staysafeyall
Great place to stay. RV sites are very level with full hookups. Gates close from 10 pm to 6 am. Must reserve online in advance. 7 day limit for RV park.
They have 8 RV sites with full hookups and its FREE as long as you register on line at least 2 weeks in advance! Archery range, covered & lit basket ball & tennis courts and ample places to walk or run. Definitely going to go back! Max RV stay is 7 days.
Fantastic park to visit and have a picnic, walk trails, ride bike, shoot hoops, even camp there! I saw two big playgrounds for the littles.. We loved it and will visit very often now.
The park seems fairly clean and courtesy employees nice. The staff appears to care for their jobs and the area was well maintained.
Great place to stay for 7 days at a time. Clean Bathrooms and Showers. Only downfall is that you have to be inside the gates by 10:00PM every night or your forced to park your vehicle outside the gate and climb over, under or through the fence/gate to get to your campsite for the night.
Very nice well maintained park. Has multiple walking trails, covered Pavillion, kids playground equipment, nice restrooms n overnight camping available.
I love this park. Very clean and great place to stay.
This is an amazing park... I acctually drove around it today it offers a small play area a large one swing sets a pavillion volleyball basket ball camping lota of bike or hike trails great area for walking biking running ect also there is archery and disc golf! Also seen areas for soccer and baseball practice .... They offer bathrooms and showers open till dark great atmoshphere people are pretty friendly and pets aloud as long as on leashes!! Hope everyone has a great family trip!!
We used Spring Creek Park for our Family Reunion picnic. We were very pleased with the facilities.
This camp spot was alright, but I didn't realize before arrival it was an actual park. Park was full of school kids today with loud speakers playing music all morning. It is free camping with showers, electric, and water so no reason to complain. We we're tent camping.
Was visiting Houston, so made reservations to stay at the campsite. Excellent park. Felt very safe and had a great time. Will definitely visit again.
Very clean park with great trails to walk. Awesome playground for kids, BBall court, and showers for the public. 1 star taken away as I inquired about their camping situation and never recieved a reply.
This is a great park for family as well as just having a walk. They are well accommodated for having any type of party and are never too full for a casual stop by. Restrooms and showers are cleanest ive seen in awhile.
This park is big, & has my favorite feature, many trees, plenty of area to run, picnic tables & bbq pits. 2 great play scapes, large for bigger kiddos, & smaller play scape for little ones. 👍 …
The park itself was very nice, but we were camping and the cars driving by all night made this a less than desirable experience. The camp site was very close to the road and people were honking and yelling ignorant things all night. This is no fault of the park's, but just made for a miserable experience.
This is a nice park it has amenities for basketball (which large is and covered), a softball / baseball field, sand volleyball court, two playgrounds (one of which has recently been renovated and no longer includes the dark and painful "Suislide"), a camping area, nature trails, grills and picnic tables and a large pavilion for scheduling events. A bit nicer than Unity Park, but not as nice as Burrows or Meyer.
Great spot! Ranger Danny is very helpful. The tennis courts are in great shape. The trail through the woods is interesting. Nice to see that it is used by local youth groups and lots of family picnicking.
Very nice park. They have covered basketball courts, playground, walking trails, baseball diamond, tennis courts, volleyball, several covered picnic areas, BBQ grills, camping with full hookups, showers and bathrooms. Staff are very friendly, park is kept clean.
A nice park with different options, is a big things for family so you have to be very careful if riding your bike. The trails are pretty interesting!
Very nice place to stay, didn't see any thing like the other comment about the drugs, or drug addicts. If you don't like the policy of the park then don't stay there, it is for very short term stays not a place to live and mooch off the taxpayers. Thank you to the park staff for your hard work, the park was easy to navigate and enjoy.
My favorite place since I was a child. Just to go walk.
Very fun place to spend time. I do recommend. Watch out for dummies. Like all places you are going to get a little bit of bad element. Thumbs up.
A jewel of a park ! It has everything that outsiders look for.
Fishing
Hiking
Running
Camping
Nature
A nice clean park I came across a year ago and I fell in love with it. Come try out for yourself.
Yes this park is so cool for the whole family I seen 5 female 🦌deers here it was a amazing experience and it have the biggest tunnel slide I've ever seen 😍 …
Neat local park. Even has approximately 8 RV spots for camping, great areas for small children & picnics
Love this park, I love to go see the deers.
Went to playground for the 1st time with a friend, it is very nice. The 3 year old, haff s great time!
Spring Creek Park is a wonderful place to take the kids for an evening hotdog cookout. Lots of very nice picnic tables and pavilions. Lots of nature trails, and lots of swings and slides.
Love this park! Nice to walk around, theres picnic tables with BBQ pots, 2 playgrounds, basketball court, pavilion, tennis court, and volleyball court. This place has got it all! Just make sure to bring Off spray all year round
Spring Creek Park is a great location for camping and facilities are nice and well maintained. The park was a great place for the kids and pets to explore. The hookups for the RVs is great and the ease to park is great.
Another great park for the kiddos and adults as well. Trails and archery and a playground, they even offer rv parking. Showers and bathrooms. Nice to visit.
Yesterdays visit to Spring Creek Park I found petrified wood. Here kitty kitty...
Nice relaxing place to enjoy nature on its trails as well as history. Or take your kids to the multiple playground or basketball or baseball games. Also has bbq areas
Its one my favorite places to 🏕 campout. I ❤ the adventures of the park and the staff they are amazing.
ThanksChef …
Nice park with camping yet right on the edge of town. Good roads for biking for younger kids without them getting out of sight. Great covered pavilion with attached kitchen for reserving.
I really had a nice time at Spring Creek Park we want on a trail walk very nice there very clean restrooms are very clean I had a good time
Super nice & safe. Great, family-friendly atmosphere!
Just finished our first night in Spring Creek Park at Tomball TX (outside Houston). They installed 8 concrete pad 50A FHU sites which can be reserved for up to a week for NO COST!! Park is fenced with gates locked at 10pm. Very nice grounds, lots of green lawn and trees. Full bath facility just opposite sites. Hell of a deal!
Great place for a first date 🌹 …
I've lived in the area for going on five years and I had no idea this gem was almost right around the corner from me! My husband and I have visited for walks and just to hang out in nature. From what I understand, there is also a kayak entry point for going down the creek. :) Will have to try that sometime!
Very nice park with lots to do. Security and groundskeepers are everywhere. The bathrooms could be a little more clean but they aren't even half as bad as other parks.
Love taking the dog here.
Very relaxing visit for a nice spring day. weather was perfect, nice breeze kept it cool. Birds serenaded us the entire time. There were plenty of shady spots for picnickers.
I am staying 5 nights in an RV here with full hook-ups for free! Yes, free with advance reservation. It is clean, quiet and beautiful. I highly recommend.
I've been visiting Spring Creek Park since I was a small child. Our family albums are dotted with photographs of us at Spring Creek Park. The park offers something for everyone. It even has a few little known secrets. Did you know that the Spring Creek park is the sight of a Civil War powdermill mill explosion? There's more but I'll leave it up to you to find out.
I love this park ! Great trails clean restrooms and if you get sweaty theres always public showers ! Love it recommend it ! Go see for yourself !
Great place. Two parks each with restroom. Huge basketball court, trails along dry creek and a field down near Spring creek. Full covered party arra with picnic tables, volleyball. Im probably missing something 😋 …
I tented here for a week just before hail storms came last day i was leaving. Only drawback is if you're camping the field is full of stickers weed. Make sure you bring underlayment and double it up for your tent bottom otherwise great park.
Really nice park and nice staff. Clean and quiet. Went to the heritage war reenactment and it is so worth it. Playgrounds are nice for every age.
Amazing little public park tucked away in Tomball. I highly suggest taking the dirt path from the parking area to the camping fire pits. It's not a very long walk, but you get to enjoy feeling like you stepped out of the city for a little while. Be on the lookout for leaf cutter ants too, I saw some next to the wooden bridge awhile back.
Very nice little gazebo...to bad over head fans don't work and only one plug for fans they had brought from home to keep cool in Texas Heat! Otherwise nice park area.
It was great and my first time there. My favorite part was the "Storytelling" Jean Delano is an awesome speaker, so articulate. My second favorite is the battlefield reenactment. I will recommend it for a great Texas history lesson.
Fantastic park with free full hook up RV sites. Great hiking trails and a small archery target area. Bathrooms are nice with showers available.
Haven't been there in years but planning on going back it was a good park from what I remember
We went to the Pct4 Heritage Festival & we all had a wonderful time & stayed from the beginning to end. It was all free thanks to Commissioner Jack Cagle. The reenactments were so much fun to watch. I love the Pect4 events.
It's a great place with 2 decent length trails and 2 big well maintained playgrounds. I'd recommend it to my own family so I'd certainly recommend it to you!
Other than not receiving the confirmation email I was supposed to get for my dates and confirmation number for my booking twice I think it's a really nice place and the people really helpful and even when I got locked out after 10 the Precinct 4 sheriff came over and let me in that was really cool and and when Trail got lost with the dog on a walk everyone was very helpful in helping us find the way back to the campsite definitely going to come again
Great park with lots of open space, places to sit, and a small playground.
I enjoy this park. It's peaceful. Lots of walking areas.
Very nice park. Play grounds, nature trails, basket ball court, bbq pit and an archery range. Has RV hook ups as well was primitive camp sites.
It's a great park, but too many stray cats/kitten's. The Park employee's response is there is nothing we can do about it. How about calling Animal control? The response someone is feeding them.
Very nice park with many picnic tables and grills, playgrounds, covered basketball court, archery range, trails, creek, and six-hole disc golf course.
I really enjoyed my time spent here. 8 Full hook ups, concrete pads, bathhouse etc. All of this set in a beautiful city park. And the best part, it was free!
Love this park rv hook ups, lots of trails huge wide open spaces. We go fly the drone over there and there is a creek where you can relax on the banks.
We played nine holes of disc golf here. It llays long if the wind is blowing, otherwise fairly easy.
I go there to use the showers. The new one is awesome. I have never ran out of hot water. The water pressure is great.
The older shower is average, I usually run out of hot water when I have to use this shower. Besides that, it does the job.
It has come around over the past 35 years. You can rv camp here. My Brother Harley Logsdon’s Boy Scout group received their arrow of light in ceremony here. There are soccer fields. Jogging trails. Bow and arrow range. Lots of picnic tables. Tennis courts. Horse shoe pits .... I think there are a few bbq pits too. Bathrooms are in 2 places but I think only the new building is open. They have the new play grounds and took out the amazing fun adult swings. So only babies can swing now. I do wish they had the tall swings still. I’m probably the only person though.
Tomball itlesf is a pretty nice place with lots of trees and every bwckyard looking like a forest , but this park is absolubtely beautiful. Its specially nice when you get the chance to see the deer, or decide to go "hiking" deeper into the woods. If not, the picnic area and playgrouds are still pretty nice.
Beautiful park. Nice playgrounds, two, one for small children and one for bigger kids. Basketball and Tennis courts.
Nice place to get lost for a bit.
I enjoy every walk.
Grandkids enjoy it as well
Great big park with all the amenities even camping!
There's plenty of room for a couple of splash pads here!! We need those here and this park will be perfect. But we would need a couple of them in different areas to avoid over-crowding.
This place is amazing, and they even have free showers. The only reason i didn't give this park 5 stars is because of the workers. They are ridiculous rude! I understand they have to deal with the town drug addicts everyday because they come here for the free showers but they don't have to be so rude and assume everyone thats young is a druggie or something. I was sitting in my car after a shower (im from Michigan and here traveling) and a worker came up assuming i was doing something illegal and when he realized i wasn't, he didn't even apologize or anything...and a few days ago i was here camping, made a reservation and everything and they came up to my tent, as rude as ever, saying they never got the reservation, even though i was showing them my confirmation number and then they left saying they were going to have to call their boss they never came back to assure me it was okay or anything. They seriously don't have to come off so rude, plus they're the ones that look the addicts/drunks. Oh and if you're tent camping and it starts raining so you go sleep in your car for shelter, they WILL kick you out and of course be rude about it. So far my experience in Tomball, texas has just been rude person, after rude person.
Awesome park for the kids... We RC trail crawl on Sundays and its a really cool dry creek bed to crawl.
Clean nice secluded little park. Ideal for a short little hike, jog or even a little picnic with friends and family.
Has plenty of parking, clean bathrooms and a cool little archery range.
I love these trails! Super clean park. There is always people there yet its never been super, super crowded.
Always enjoyable. Interesting terrain if you follow some of the creeks side routes. Clean and pleanty.ro do for the kids.
Clean and well manicured. Plenty of activity spaces. They even have RV spots. Gates close at 10pm and you will be either locked in or out at that time. Close to downtown Tomball and the Tomball city activities.
Great park to relax and have fun. Quiet and has lots of walking trails.
Nice! Very clean environment to visit, very beautiful park areas to rest in. This morning it was quiet and cool outside, I enjoyed it there.
They have a 1 mile orienteering course that starts at the pavilion. Good field areas available for activities, and campsites with fire pits. Fire ants can be prevalent at primitive campsites after rains.
Very nice park. Big and quiet. Yet it has basketball court, tennis courts, volleyball court and plenty of playground equipment.
Been coming here since I was 19 I am 44 now amazing beautiful park. Very clean peaceful great for kids and pets fun activities.
Our favorite RV site in TX.
Park is clean. It has lots of tables and barbeque pits. There is a basketball ball court, swings for kids, and area to play sports like baseball or soccer.
It's fun and there's lots of things to do there such as play on slides, swings, tubes, spinging things also you can jog and even go on a relaxing hike. Its good for adults kids and teens.
I have been going here since elementary school.yhe only thing I don't like is you can't bring ARVs in the park.everything else is great
This is a great place to bring kids. You can play at the park or hike some trail's. Hours if fun for the kids.
Smaller kid playground. Larger big kids playground. Sports fields, basketball court. Trails. Archery range. Lots of picnic tables. Lots of big open spaces to run and play. Camping areas.
Very nice. Seems perfect to walk my dogs because they can't be around other dogs
My hubby's high school mini-reunions are held here once a year. Always clean and even a pavilion w/kitchen and restrooms close to the the pavillion!!
Great park with many different areas. We were able to enjoy the Archery range with other students from Great Oak school in Tomball.
Beautiful park and well maintained. Great play area for kids and hiking trails.

Love this park. It's clean, has 2 kids playgrounds, and the walking trails are well maintained.
Wonderful free full hookup RV campsite available here. Only you need to make the reservation, and the city responds very slow. (Takes about 2 weeks)
Been going to this park since I was a child and will always go back. The basketball courts are top notch or leaves you to be it's been awhile since I've been there.
Great park for the family.
Beautiful park. Went there to see Civil War reenactment. Also visited the cemetery that was discovered just a few years ago. They are still finding more.
Enjoyed the park for sunshine and family time while the kiddos played best thing it's free . You can walk the trails play basketball jog or just enjoy a picnic with the family

Beautiful Park!! Lots of room to do whatever you want to do. There's also a really nice pavillion!
