The Office folks take great care and upkeep on the facilities, clean bathrooms and laundry room. If you need something, they are on top of it. My only complaint about the campground(back part), too many military/active duty families moving in. We like social activities with neighbors, but with these families the children can be noisy and annoying. Five O'clock in the morning they are firing up their pickups trucks, waking us up. When I was in the military they gave us allowance for housing and food Maybe these families need to have those allowances cut since they aren't spending that much on housing.

We love it here It's a nice Big site's concrete pads right inside the gate. Also checked out the other campground which is close to the lake. Great commissary and Exchange. The draw back is we are close to the road so noisy and the train tracks are close so reminds me of home living a block from the tracks!

Staying at the West RV campground. RV sites are large and well kept. Getting in and off the base is guite easy. The laundry room on this side is clean. Of the two RV sites on the base I feel the west site is the best of the two RV sites on base. The east. RV site is right next to the east gate making it quick for getting on and off post but RV sites feels crowded to me. Over all the base is an excellent place to stay for retired military members.

For 25 bucks a night, right off I10, right inside the gate, pull thru sites, and our rig fit 43 ft long. This is a perfect stopping place for the night. Full hook ups and close to the beach. We would love to stay a couple days next time! Feel free to follow our rv adventures @crazykleinadventure #crazykleinadventure

This is an excellent RV Park, sites are spacious and office staff are very helpful and sweet. Also, very close to beach and Bay of St Louis. Only thing, and it's not their fault, there is ZERO shade at park. When the real feel is 104 degrees, it's tough!

This is a military camp ground on NCBC-Navy Base. You must have a military ID to stay at this camp ground. You can only stay for 180-days and then must leave the camp ground. It’s not a residential RV park. During the winter months they stay very busy. So make reservations early! Very close to beach 4 miles off I-10.

Location is good for Gulfport. Close to the beach.
It is very wet. I was told they have an underground water leak. There were also some very obviously not road ready units camping in the site.
Bathrooms and laundry were clean. Spaces have a good distance between them.

We love this park. This is our second time here, the first time was at the beginning of Covid and a 5 day stay turned into 3 months because of the lock down. They have great level 50 amp pull thru sites that are easy in and easy out.

I was there in Mar-Apr 2020 everything was great until CORONA hit the surrounding area. That base was very safe but the town was just about shut down.
My only problem with shields is the wi-fi not strong enough to stream. I have a dish satellite o this really was not a problem.
Shields has good power water and no problem with sewer. Showers are cleaned daily and well maintained.
While I was there neighbors were quiet and friendly very respectful of other campers areas.
I am looking forward to our stay this year in Apr-May.
I hope this helped.

Very nice and clean, friendly staff. We have a 28 ft class C. We stayed a week in spot number 1. The person there before us snapped off an elbow in the sewer pipe. We went up to the office and they fixed it in no time. I thought we might have to move but thanks to their quick action, we were good. They have weekly and monthly rates. We will return for a month next year. You can reserve spots. One of the best military campgrounds we have stayed at. Just left Key West what a dump but pretty beach sight.
