Beautiful trails and fun activities on the side. Family favorite was the tree house with rope bridge and climbing net and a small trail to log across the creek.

Quite an amazing public park! Kids will love the play areas! My own kids have dubbed the slide the fastest one they've ever seen! Some beautiful walking trails surround the park and there are numerous Play areas where kids can explore! This park really has something for everyone.

Great little Ball Park lots of parking, 4 fields back to back , Soccer fields, snack bar, bathrooms, play grounds, plenty of parking 3 parking lots in the park and right next to the fields is a play ground for the little ones. Grocery store couple blocks away within walking distance for a long day in the park. Some tree shading areas around the ball fields which was a major plus especially for long days at the ball fields even days lol. Great place to hold adult softball tournaments, but most of all youth travel ball tournaments great on site staff very friendly and helpful...No ATM onsite but take debit and credit cards for the snack bar reasonabley priced. Fields are pretty big, takes a Big bat to Go Yard... Overall pretty good complex and we'll taken care of. Sorry and a skate park...

Fields for soccer, kickball, baseball diamondS, tennis courts, skate park for your daring children. Jungle gym with multiple slides of different sizes. One giant slide perfect for children who aren't quite sure about going down solo, so they may be accompanied by a sibling, friend or even an adult. The park is overall a well planned park and a great place to take your family for a fun time. There's also a viewing tower and a little obstacle structure behind the park. 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

This park is great for everybody. You have skateboard parks, slides, tennis courts, and even a pond! But it can be loud with the ongoing school construction to the south.

Saw fireworks here, didn't really "park it up" because we stayed in the "parking lot". But the park looked nice. Definitely a park and not hiding anything. Not at all.

This is a great place to play. Children have a blast with it's climabouts and slides. Has a outdoor skate park.

The facility was nice and clean. The only problem we had was not facility related. Raking the fields after every game was a great idea except it was very dry and extremely dusty. You almost needed a mask to breathe. Then only one umpire on our game. He didn't move off home plate to make any calls. Then fist bumping and back patting with the other team did not go unnoticed. Also close calls, made from home plate, did not go in our favor. Ever. But the facility was nice and clean. Sorry for the rant but our boys were disappointed in the unfair umpire.we also got shorted about 7 minutes on our game. 10:07 to 11:45 is not an hour and 45 minutes. So there's that.

Seemed like a nice well maintained park, wasn't very busy when I went there. I spent my time there on the swings, and left shortly after some people showed up to use the swings themselves.

The trail is nice! A tad confusing about the main trail (because there are many merging crosswalks.) Overall, the trail is paved and clean of debris, and it's within a nature setting. Wheelchair, stroller, kid, and pet friendly trail with minor traffic intersections.

My family loves this park. It has nice playground equipment and my kids love the climbing hill. There are plenty of trails to walk and a public fishing pond that draws plenty of birds. The community center always had a birthday or event going on but we've never had terrible finding a place to park or picnic table for lunch. The trails connect to the library so you can stop for books then head out for a walk/jog/ride. The trails are wide, clean and the park is well traveled until early evening. It would be nice if there were better restrooms than port-a-potties, but it's better than nothing.

We rented the community building next to the police station for my daughters birthday party, was big enough so everyone could distance themselves if they wanted they had bathrooms with running water which you can't find find that in my neck of the woods. Also was just a great spot you felt safe with Urbandale PD station next to you and there's a park for the kids and an open field where there's soccer and baseball and a skate park. All around great community area

This is one of the largest public sports park in urbandale area for residents. It has 8 tennis courts, soft ball court, skating area, and nice long trails connected to other parks in town. This has something to offer for all ages.

Great place to walk. If you play Pokemon Go, it has a lot of activity and the folks in the area are really friendly and nice. There is fishing, playgrounds, skate parks, library, water fountains, just all around great scenery and place to visit.

This is a wonderful local park, with tennis courts, a softball/hardball complex, a skate park area, and walking trails for miles, and more I'm sure; we didn't cover the whole grounds. Not to mention Pokemon GO! Many gyms, and countless dozens of pokestops make this a great gathering place, much like the sculpture park downtown. Within an hour I had filled my bag, and captured over 100 pokemon, just walking around the park. I haven't played since before you could trade; so it was impressive to see 30+ people teaming up to take on a raid; all while practicing safe social distancing! The park is beautiful, well maintained, and lively; with all the ammenities, like restrooms, trash receptacles, and water fountains (I see alot of parks without any water...). I must say we were definitely awed by our first visit here; the play areas are clean, and structurally sound. This park is full of life, positive vibes, beautiful scenery, and architecture.

This park is awesome. It is very large and has varties of things to do for you and specially for your kids. There is a bridge going through the tress and a very long slide beside a very nice play ground beside the skate area and finally a small lake.

This park is absolutely amazing it's clean, people are friendly and there is so much to do. Soccer fields, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, skate park, playgrounds for kids, and walking trails for adults. A couple different shelter houses for gathering and it's all next door to a library. One of my favorite places to just hang.out and relax.

This park is fun with the ground slide, walking trails and skate park. I wish there was a little ramp for beginners, but such a nice park and just across from Hy-Vee.

High quality and clean park. Great place for the whole family, skate park is high quality, the trails are clean and dont smell, the playgrounds seem perfect for kids. Not to mention the pokemon go/ingress opportunities. I recomend this place often, just hadn't left an official review.

Very pretty park, with many different play areas, and beautiful ponds. Also very quiet, and clean. It probley helps that this park is literally just a few steps from Urbandale Police Department, which I find fantastic. I will be returning here soon!! Highly recommended!!

When I grew up here in Urbandale (left 42 yrs ago), we had minimal park development, probably very little money available, dumpy Little League facilities. Now, parks and trail system here are impressive in comparison, sculptures especially. If residents were only as friendly as they were back in the '70s... I feel like a stranger here for sure.

Great park for kids. You can spend hours here. The is also a neat nature walkway behind the Giovonetti center that the kids can explore on, as well as a pond. This is a great place to take family pictures.

This is a really nice park. It has a fun playground, walking trails around a pretty pond, observation decks by the woods, tennis courts, baseball diamonds , soccer fields and plenty of picnic tables.

Probably the best park in the whole metro area. I love taking the time to find new parks to take my boys to and reviewing them here on maps. This park is my favorite and my ten year old said he wanted to come back again and he thinks all parks are boring cause they ain't have wifi lol. Lots to do here and lots to see. Follow trails so you don't miss anything. Multiple play areas.

This is a great place to take some kids fishing for the first time. They will lose interest and then you can go play on the play grounds. The pond has fish in it, as it is a DNR project.

For the fishermen: it's a standard pond for a family day out; bluegill, largemouth bass, and channel catfish. I don't think I need to tell you how to catch bluegill, but the bass and catfish are harder to pull in, but they're in there. I've only seen people catch bass with minnows, and personally I've never seen anyone else catch catfish, however I have pulled a 7 lbs, 23 inch channel catfish out of the water using blue gill cut-bait I caught earlier in the day. Bluegill are under the dock and around the shores (duh), bass are gonna be around the bluegill but just a little further out, and for catfish try working it around the dock, or the middle of the lake. This isn't a trophy fish pond, but it's kinda cool to pull out a decent size fish while everyone else is looking at you in awe. It's a hard pond to fish, but it makes catching bass or catfish super fun when you have a big one on the end of your line. Good luck and I hope I made your day a little easier. P.S. if you're going frogging, this is a decent place for it, i would recommend 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm for it.

Really nice little park to take the kids to, and the skate park part is pretty rad. Plenty of grind space and room for drop-ins. Plus, the entire surrounding Park area is a great place to take a stroll.

Pier for fishing. My son caught a blue gill. 3 year old liked the little toddler play area. Great for all ages. Cool place.

The Giovannetti shelter is a fabulous location for holding private events and because it is fully enclosed it doesn't matter what the weather is doing outside. With a mini kitchen and indoor restrooms it has all the amenities for a family gathering or a work meeting.

It's a nice park to enjoy your community picnic and excellent shelter of Giovannetti Patio. Quite and save. But the open shelter near the elementary school should jeva all the services like the Giovannetti. Eg electricity cord or light that will allows community to enjoy they full picnic.

Night out with Urbandale Police Department was a total success again this year. My youngest daughter is moving to Urbandale this month. Her daughter my Granddaughter has gone to Urbandale schools since kindergarten. So proud. I was raised in Urbandale and lived here most of my life. Excellent schools. Excellent neighborhoods. So glad to see my family stay and live here. Just wish my oldest daughter seen what we see in Urbandalel.....Thank You UPD for keeping our neighborhoods safe. And putting your lives out there for us.
