The park is great. Lovely place to spend some time relaxing in the Emerald Garden. The playground is hopping, there are a couple of ball fields and plenty of green space. The Oz statutes? Find 'em. Hopefully they add more, but the 5 most important characters are here.

Oz park is one of my favorite spots in Lincoln park. On a sunny day you can except the park to be filled with people shooting hoops or playing baseball on one of the diamonds. There is a garden to sit in and a large playground. Walk the park and find statues of the main characters from the wizard of oz.

Absolutely lovely park! So many activities to do. Plenty of dogs and kids (I feel I should mention this just in case you don't like dogs or you're looking for a quiet park). Such a friendly no nonsense park. Play tennis, run or walk the trail, visit the garden, bring your kids to the play ground, play basketball, or just sit and people and dog watch. Always full of tons of people, but I have never had a bad experience. Cool statues of The Wizard of Oz characters too!

This is one of my favorite parks! Plenty of open space in the middle of the city. There's basketball courts, baseball fields, tennis courts, a playground, a zen garden, hills to ride a sled down, and an open area for spikeball or just relaxing outdoors!

It's a clean and family-friendly park. It has a nice path for exercise or casual walk. Benches are scattered throughout the park if people need to sit down and chill out. Definitely recommend this park for people who live in Lincoln Park area or who are visiting Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Being related to Yip Harburg (lyricist of wizard of oz), I had an obligation to visit this park for myself while in Chicago. I was pleasantly surprised at the vastness of its size and the amount of families and people utilizing it (though covid-19 might be the reason why). The statues of the main characters in the book/film are well done and serve their purpose. Overall its a great place to hangout watch people play some b-ball and relax. If I lived near I certainly would come often.

I came here for the Oz stuff, but the park is absolutely gorgeous. It has a really nice wooden playground and a beautiful garden.

This is such a fun place to bring the kids. It will also bring out the kid in adults that grew up with the Oz saga. Each statue is supposed to be interactive by scanning the QR code with your phone camera but I was never able to make it work. From the pretty garden, to the walking path around the park, to the playground for the kiddos, this is a tranquil and beautiful site to come for a picnic on a lovely autumn day.

Fantastic neighborhood park with amenities for everyone. Space for hammocks, picnics, ball games, tennis, basketball, you name it! In the winter it's great for some sledding or building snowmen. The statues add some flair, glad we have this park nearby

I nice park with two baseball diamonds, lots of shade, and plenty of benches to rest on. Approximately on each corner there is a statue of a Wizard of Oz character.

Very pleasant park. It's has four tennis courts and I think a pickle ball court. Lots of shaded lawn to relax by yourself or with a group. And a cool statue of Dorothy with her ruby red slippers and Todo.

This is a feature-packed little park for kids. The location is excellent for a weekend trip in from other parts of the city: a lot of food and drink options just up or down the block. Starbucks, Thai food, burger options, etc. The park had standard swings, as well as toddler swings (and a tire swing too!). A sprawling kids castle/climb element is the central piece of the park. Also right next to a beautiful public garden and baseball field. So why four stars instead of five? There’s always some graffiti in this park. We’ve had a purse stolen at this location. Some of the rocking features need to be replaced.

Great small park with free parking. Love to walk there with wife and friends. It was nice to have there public restroom, but there is none of it. Anyway good thematic park about Oz characters. Also friendly to animals. A lot of dog walking and playing there with owners.

There's nothing like taking a picture of the tin man and the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz with your granddaughter!!! She loved it. Of course there's a playground. I used to bring her father here also!

My family has been playing at Oz park for last 32 years since my oldest was 5. Whenever my grand kids visit, we make extra effort visiting the playground. It's rather outdated compared to others, but it's a very special place to us.

Nice park for kids and grown-up. Baseball fields, playground for kids under 5 but I would say under 8 should be good. Nice Oz movie sculptures around the park.

very spacious and very chill sunlight hits their beautifully so all the weather is good it's a great place to go sit out and have a picnic play around get some people together just about anything you can think of. had an early evening picnic there right up until sunset not too crowded found some good spots and was able to set up a hammock definitely will go back this summer also within walking distance of some great restaurants and shops

Great little park in the city. There's a playground (with separate sections for big and little kids), baseball diamonds, a half court for shooting hoops, an enclosed no-animals area, tennis courts, and, of course, the iconic wizard of Oz statues! There are also several restaurants and a mini Target nearby if you're hungry or need anything. Also, if you're driving and can't find street parking, there are two (not free) parking garages very nearby.

Neat park with Wizard of Oz statues in tribute to Dorothy and her three friends/uncles: The Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion. There is also a dog park, playground, and recreational sports area here.

Such a gem of a park! It is Wizard of Oz themed and there are statues of Dorothy and Toto, the Lion, the Tin Man, and the Scarecrow. Can you find them all? The park has a large grassy area, tennis courts, a playground, water fountains, picnic tables, and walking paths, making it an all-around wonderful park.

An exceptionally spotless family and canine amicable park with a pleasant blend of both. Tennis and baseball were being played and the kids' play ground looked all around kept up with and current. Huge loads of trees and sufficient room for people to fan out even on a bustling day.

Fantastic large park with tennis courts, baseball diamond, garden, playground, and more! Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the day and lots of shade. Playground can use a little renovations as it's starting to get old. But it's a super fun wood playground. Great for big kids. Not great visibility and challenging for toddlers.

This is a really cute and beautiful park. The playground is any child's dream; the garden area was so well maintained with wonderful foliage; the paths were in great condition; and the statues were so cute! This is a treasure in a busy city

It's an awesome park with tons to do. The kids playground is great with many different types of activities for kids of many different age levels. The park has large grassy areas for all sorts of activities. In the summer (fall?) they sometimes play movies on a giant screen projector. There are also separate sections like a tennis court and a baseball field. Good location and accessible too.

This is one of our favorite parks to go to. We have a two year old who loves to swing and this park has at least six swings available for little kids. Even if you need to wait for a swing you rarely wait long. Probably three or four slides to choose from but careful metal slides can be a little fast. Park is a good mix of older equipment and newer equipment but everything is in great shape. Even on a sunny day the park remains fairly shaded which is a plus.

That's an awesome place to spend time for kids and adults-play baseball, tennis or just relax in your hammock. There are those beautiful statues from "The wizard of Oz", beautiful trees, flowers, playgrounds, etc. The one thing is very important-weather, it would be great to visit this park when it's warm outside.

It is a very well thought out park, from the 4 statues, meandering paths, Emerald City Gardens (my favorite part - so many types of flowers and plants!!), Dorothy’s playground, baseball field and basketball courts. It is a lovely place to spend some time if you’re in the area!

Living and growing up in a city like Chicago there wasn't always the space available to play football, soccer, or basketball. Oz park offers that and more. It has basketball courts, baseball courts, tennis courts, huge space for any other sports all free and open to the public. It's located in an amazing location in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The area offers plenty of food options nearby for breaks in between the fun. Overall this park has everything you can look for in a park.

Oz Park is a hidden treasure. Oz Park is a rather large park located in heart of the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Its quirky character and flurry of activity make it one worth visiting. There's a bit of everything for everyone at Oz Park. There's a playground for kids to play at. There's a large garden that's perfect for bringing a book for an afternoon read. And there's softball fields and lots of green areas for a ton of roaming. Not to mention the statues that attract so many to this park. The statues are a bit spread out but rather easy to find. Finding each one is like finding a small treasure at a beach. 5/5. Absolutely love this place.

First time going with a friend who stays around the Lincoln Park area last weekend, and it was nice. We played frisbee and there were other people around chilling, playing or with thier dogs. Nice atmosphere!

Oz Park is a lovely place in the city to take a minute out of my day. There's a good sized playground that's usually busy but not overly crowded, a garden area (no pets allowed in there), tennis courts, paved paths... I've even seen groups doing tai chi there! Also, if you're looking for a good place to socialize your dog, there are usually lots of friendly dog owners walking their pooches.

Nice play to walk the dogs or take your kids to hangout. There are several enclosed areas for various activities (i've seen picnics, tennis, softball, kiddie playground). It's in Lincoln Park so a relatively safe neighborhood, but sometimes you'll find people just wandering around late at night. It's near a lot of bars and restaurants, so places to eat after you're done enjoying the park. A lot of dogs hangout there as well.

Lovely neighborhood park. Well maintained facilities, well lit, and plenty of cool activities. The Playground was just updated, and is still one of the best on the north side. This small little park seems to have just the right amount of everything, and is obviously loved by locals.

A beautiful park for leisurely walks, with tennis courts, baseball diamond, playground, and fantastic statues of the classic Oz characters: Dorothy and Toto, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and Scarecrow. Great place for walking your dog as well. While there's not an actual dog area there is a section in the center of the park where dog owners congregate at all hours and let their pups greet and play with each other.

Great neighborhood park. With great kids' playground, doggy water fountain, Oz sculptures and well groomed fenced off garden to relax and picnic. Has all the amenities except chess tables, garden fountains and grilling stations. The tennis courts are a bit old and waiting times on the weekends can get a bit long. You will hear and maybe even bump into dogday cicadas.

This is such a pretty little haven in the middle of a busy neighborhood. The Emerald Garden is a quiet place to enjoy yourself. (If you're one of the people who goes in there and smokes, you're going to hell. Die.) The Oz character statues are wonderful and, if you've got kids, they will love them. I also love them even though I'm not a child and not even that crazy about The Wizard of Oz.

Very nice park. The parents can be nice depending. Timing is key if you dont want to go when the park is full. Usually early in the day before 230pm will be okay as it should be all little kids. At around 330 youll start getting more students from Lincoln Park High School. The weekends usually have some kids but not to many as long as you go before 4 30pm. Its a beautiful park with a big field.

Pretty neat little park. They've got statues from the Wizard of Oz scattered throughout the park. Oz Park is also a participant in Statue Stories Chicago. Posted throughout the park, you'll find signs that have a QR Code, NFC tag, and web address that will "call" your phone and narrate the story of the statue to you. The walking tour takes about 30 minutes.

More like Oz Bar...this place lit up during the 2020 pandemic. With all the bars closed, Lakeview’s yuppies flocked here with twist off wine bottles and Trulys to hang out in a safe outdoor space. Oz Bar is a medley of all age groups: from seniors walking dogs to kids playing hide and seek with everyone respectful. Oz Bar was the best part of the pandemic and taught us we don’t need dark, expensive, exclusive bars with salty staff to have a good time. Opt outside for sunshine, space, and community. 4 out of 5 stars because many of the mutts are not on a leash.

Has various statues of Wizard of Oz characters (Dorothy and Toto, Tin man, etc.), in a park setting, hence the name Oz Park. It's mostly quiet until the kids start their soccer, baseball and tennis programs. Also, there is a children's playground here for the younger ones. Plenty of benches, close to local restaurants and is beautifully landscaped. People bring their dogs for walks through here often.

Great park with a lot of space. Surprisingly good, fee parking on Webster and Lincoln Ave. Sometimes gets busy, but most of the time plenty of room to chuck a frisbee around. If you're a pokemon go fan, this is a great spot to catch mons and there are often raids. Catch 'em all!

This is a really cool Park located in the heart of Lincoln Park. There are statues of the characters from The Wizard of Oz located on the North east corner of the park as well as a playground that is pretty legit and quite a few restaurants and bars in the area that are worth hitting up.

Very cute park! I was very excited to bump into Oz Park. I have seen many of my fellow yelpers checking in to this, and sharing pictures, but I never could make out where the location of this park was. The tinman statue stood right at the entrance and caught my attention first. I really wasn't aware of the tinman, cowardly lion, and scarecrow statues, until visiting. Only statue I was aware of was the Dorthy and toto statue, which stands next to the playground inside of this park. This park has multiple activities that you can do, such as basketball, softball, tennis, football, soccer; visiting the community garden, and also letting your children wear themselves out at the playground. Very park that anyone of any age can enjoy; plus; having the Oz character statues only adds more smiles, and cuteness to this park. Now that I know where this park is located, I will most definitely make it part of my normally bike route. Enjoy!

Oz Park one of the great parks in the city of Chicago my daughter grew up in Oz Park but there's a little problem there it's not a dog park and that all dogs are friendly that are walking on leashes and when a dog runs up to a dog on the leash it could get aggressive either make it a dog park or don't make it a dog park somebody please police
