Reviews of Millennium Park
Albert Solano
Such an amazing place to visit and a must in your in the Chicago area. Great place to capture amazing photos of the famous Bean and downtown area. I really enjoyed hitting the ice skating ring for a few laps. I highly recommend coming here to visit a iconic piece of Chicago.
Jian Melendez
If you're going to Chicago, then you definitely need to stop by Millennium Park and visit Cloud Gate (The Bean). It's such an amazing place to visit and spend an afternoon walking around the park or simply have nice picnic. Great atmosphere! Highly recommend it.
Sandy T
Beautiful place!!! You can spent so much time taking pictures around the bean but we also enjoyed the ice skaters. It was not too cold so we could spend quite a while around. Lots of nice places close too.
Saiprabhu B
We are never tired of this place. It's almost like a ritual to visit this place whenever we are on a trip to Chicago irrespective of the season. Be it watching the reflections of the majestic Chicago skyline on Cloud gate AKA Bean or the nearby Crown Fountain or catching bands perform in the pavilion, or the Christmas tree during holiday season, or taking a stroll upto the Buckingham fountain in nearby Grant park, or the Ice-skating rink, there are lots of things to see/experience here. Absolutely must visit. Roadside Parking is a hit or miss here depending on the crowd.
fahim momin
It is a really good touristy place for everyone to come and hangout with their friends/family/partner. I went during Thanksgiving as well as New Year's day. The snow never stop anyone there are always people around the park. Also, overview of the Chicago skyline is must to watch and nearby to all other attractions nearby.
Amy Yan
When we are in Chicago we always try and visit the Millennium Park. It has such a laid back vibe and just so much for the kids to explore. They have food trucks and vendors with carts always selling snacks or great authentic food. Across from the park is more food. So you can't go wrong walking around the park and exploring. Such a great family friendly area.
angela lucas
There are so many things to do at Millennium Park for FREE! Visit the "Bean" and see the other sculpture there or just walk the trail. Ice skating is also available with the Chicago skyline around you. The Christmas tree was beautiful! There are public restrooms and a little place to get hot chocolate 😍 …
RaBar X
Amazing architecture. Beautiful places, simply beautiful. Chicago is beautiful. A lot of Poles. You can communicate in Polish. At times I felt like I was in Poland. A beautiful adventure in life. Lots of experiences, getting to know new cultures. I hope to visit the USA more than once again.
Joshua
Loved the park, but if you're just there to see the bean and find a way to get there without parking. We were charged $22 for an hours worth of time. Other than that the park itself is so beautiful. Even in the winter this place was something else. It was a great place for a stroll and the bean definitely was our highlight
Tam Petersen
A very well kept park. So beautiful and green in the summer. Hardly any litter, fun for all ages! There is security so just be patient, especially during peak times.
Darryl Skidmore
Lovely place to have a walk. The bean is one of Chicago's iconic sculptures. Watch out for the nesting birds though...prone to attack. Kinda funny if you're prepared for them but can be a shock if not!
Syed Muniem Hassan Rizvi
When I shifted to Chicago, Illinois from Pakistan I searched on google to explore Chicago so I found millennium park at top and it’s attracted me when I saw the been there so I went there twice once with family at night time and secondly in the morning with mine friends. I found this place too busy where a lot of people were there for fun and visiting this place with friends and family. I saw a lot of people specially children’s doing skating there.
Lauren Kaspar
Crowded but a great place to visit. An unseasonably warm Saturday in March meant a lot of foot traffic. Cloud Gate (The Bean) was cool but too crowded to get really good photos. A lot of influencers trying to get that perfect insta. Regardless, my better half & I had a great time walking around and enjoying the scenery.
Raed Al-Dukhayyil
I had a great experience at this park with an iconic spot - a place for hanging out and enjoying with your family or friends. The park is very popular and well maintained - the guards are everywhere, and very friendly.
I strongly recommend to chill out at this park - one of the top places tgat you must visit in Chicago.
Cesar
The Bean is a good landmark to go and take nice picture, during winter nights there is an Ice Skate Rink, where people can have fun and spend so time there.
You can find some other landmarks where you can take nice picture. I really love the night sight of the city.
Funny fact, if you like “Mexican style corn”, you can find a guy in the closest corner to the Bean that sells them at night. Was funny to found him there, very Mexico City street food style
Stephanie Hoang
This made me miss Hyde Park in London so much. While this walk had beautiful views of the aquarium and Field Museum, I was disappointed how close the road was to the park. In fact, the roads went through the park multiple times. I'm so used to Hyde Park feeling like you're in a tiny patch of the countryside that seeing cars so prevalent in this park was shocking. Aside from the cars, the park was a nice walk before dinner. Nothing crazy to note, but nice
Suxant
An iconic spot of Chicago. One of the most popular attraction in the city. Usually super crowded, especially during the weekends. The park is very well maintained. Plenty of space to sit, which makes it an ideal place for family or couples or just a bunch of friends to hang out. The place gets more lively during evenings. There are some street music being played, there are some street food options, the place just gets lit up. This place is very close to the Millennium Park train station. Would surely recommend.
Shahida bilal
My favorite and best #1toursist attraction located in heart of downtown Chicago . Amazing sculpture The Cloud bean is biggest attraction. Nice beautiful theater with big field. Two ice ring . Surrounded by Chicago highrise. Beautiful garden . Lots of restaurants and shops . Millennium park is free. Just you need to park and explore ..
Vivian Lee
A nice free park to stroll in. You can see the bean and other things. Not much to see at the moment since it’s winter as of this writing. It’s nearby the Art Institute. I noticed Chicago seems to like shiny things.
Dustin Gibson
This is a very large and iconic park! There is lots of things throughout to see and do. The fountains, waterfront, venue, gardens, ect. Definitely a good place to walk around in if youre downtown.
Doctor Bryan Stoops
I had my first visit to Chicago earlier in 2022 with my wife and kids. Millennium Park was by far my favorite public park we visited (and we visited most of the essentials). "The Bean" is very cool, and the park has so much to offer. It's a really beautiful park, and I can't wait for my next visit!
Keith Thomason
Awesome place to see some of the architectural achievements of Chicago. Also has skiing, an amazing hot chocolate/coffee shop (in front of skate rink) and centered in a perfect walking spot.
Louis MINGUET
Really cool and peace place !
It’s a must see in Chicago.
But the problem is that’s popular place with a lot of tourist. Near this place, you can see the beginning of the road 66 !
You also need to try the Nutella Store !
Fun fact : I don’t have sorry…
Cam
What an amazing site to behold! I am not mally not much of a city person but on my road trip I had to stop and check out millennium park. The place is huge and to see it all you will get your steps in. I would recommend finding a cheap place to park and to walk my 2 hour parking was $21 but I also just chose a close garage. Male sure you make it down to the river walk too.
Stephen Mathis
A must see must stop attraction. I suggest morning around 9 am or sooner for best shots and less crowds. Grab a coffee and head on over and enjoy
Gordon Freeman
A beautiful and very interesting Chicago neighbourhood, with some famous sightseeing locations. If you come to Chicago, the Bean awaits. Definitely also snap a pic of the nearby Route 66 insignia. This city is just fantastic!
Brandi Heft-Kniffin (BrandiSea)
Could spend hours here with the views and art and sculpture and architecture are absolutely incredible. I highly HIGHLY recommend you make time to visit this spot. From “the bean” to the led wall fountain that spits water, it is an awesome place to be. MAKE TIME TO COME HERE and bring your camera!
Sachinika Deemansa Boda Hennadige
Amazing place and the hotspot of the Windy City. But absolutely very crowded! Managed to stay away from the river if people flowing in constantly.
But beautiful and when calm perfect place to picnicking. Hanging out with friends and family.
Medel Sandoval
Spectacular art piece is the big bean 😂
A enjoyable experience with family
My kids had a blast time at the fountain ⛲️ recommended 100000%
Live music ,nice decent food and even the weather this day ,was amazing 🤩
Must visit and must take the memories to a different level
Pilar Massanes
A must do attraction in Chicago. You can't miss the bean. It's pretty cool to go at different times during the day and even during different kinds of weather. The most amazing view in my opinion is with blue skies, but at night it's pretty awesome too! And when it's cloudy everything seems to blend in together
Taylor Tiwari
I loved this place! It’s so beautiful, well kept, easy to navigate, and lots of fun. Cloud Gate was my favorite attraction here, but the whole thing is awesome. I will definitely return many times.
TeaTea Von
Went to the tree lighting ceremony and Brian McKnight performed. I also got to see him back stage. It was an awesome event. There was a lot of people there but everything stayed peaceful. The weather behaved lol it was a nice night. Out of all the years they have been doing this I think I've only been like 3 times. I will be attending more of them weather permitting. Of course the police presence was heavy so we felt safe. All in all I would recommend everyone bring their family down to enjoy the festivities.
LAND ROVER
Beautiful Park in the middle of Chicago wonderful time great walking great people watching iconic structures of art the bean is my favorite photo op great place to find peace in a city of hustle and bustle
Tara
First time ever going at night! (November 2021) I love visiting millennium park any time I’m in Chicago! It is clean and cloud gate (the bean) is an iconic landmark. It was also very well lit at night so my family felt safe while going there.
Sherri Wignall
Boy was it crowded. Still had a nice little walk checking out the park and sculptures. We ran into a friendly praying mantis, I think, he wanted people to hold him and everyone took turns. That was a nice change. Even with the crowds there was still room for a quiet picnic. Did not see any public restrooms anywhere. The garden was past season too.
Andrzej Tkacz
Iconic place that everybody visiting Chicago must see. It is huge! Wrap up warm when going there, especially in winter, because the wind from the Michigan Lake is freezing
Arman Barbuco
It’s a good place to visit. There’s are so many things to see. Kids enjoy the water park falls in a hot weather. There are chairs that you can seat and enjoy and watch people. One of the place to visit when you are in the area. This is just 5 minutes away from our hotel so we were able to visit it twice. One in the late afternoon and early morning where not much people around. There is an auditorium who held concerts. People enjoys the place which is good for photos.
Amber Kissling
This park had so much to offer! We enjoyed all of it! I couldn't wait to go see what I call the bean! The park was beautiful they had so many beautiful flowers planted everywhere! Update: a year later we went back in the summer time and it was just as good as I remembered! Better actually the water fountains were running and we got to sit and listen to the symphony practice! We also got to see it at night and this time cloud gate wasn’t blocked with barriers because of Covid-19!! I only wish I would’ve checked out the bean at night as well!!!
Tye B
Always a good time here! Everytime I have someone that comes to visit Chicago it's a must do. Waling around this area is fun and when it's not too cold, it's a good time.
LEE'S PAPA
I came to Chicago for a family trip. I didn't know Chicago was so good for the first time. A city where the past and the present coexist! Immerse yourself in the charm of Chicago.
Angela Y
The Bean did not disappoint! There were plenty of police officers around here So safe to you is not a miss you. I prefer to go in the evening time the park was less busy and was able to take in the scene from the city lights simply beautiful
Trent
This is always a must see tourist destination when visiting Chicago. Today there was live music, ice skating, Christmas lights. The Bean is fun for all ages and you also have the chance to see humanity at its best when enjoying art, music, and each other. The Chicago Art Museum is just down the way and there are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and stores to explore.
Casey T
Awesome park! Lots to see and do + many photo opportunities! You can bring your kids to Crown Park and let them play in the water. Gets pretty crowded over the weekend but still pretty walkable. The park closes at 9pm and they WILL herd you out.
Mike Murphy
Nothing more quintessential Chicago than seeing "The Bean" in Millennium Park - great all year round, but there's something special about visiting during the Holiday Season.
Tim Veigle
This is a must stop location. If you go to Chicago, you must visit the Bean. What you don’t know is you can also go ice skating outside if you dare to venture for some ice skating outside. It’s also cool with everything you can do based off beans reflection.
Butch Moore
If you are up for a beautiful stroll, this one is a must. Pick a beautiful day and get out there to see this along with many other amazing sights and attractions right there with this one.
Naresh V
One of the famous attractions in Chicago.
Plan to visit either early in the day or evening.
You can park ur car in the garage next to it.
Its an open park with beautiful skyline view.
So many attractions near by.
If you are planning to visit with kids then it’s better to get stroller. If your child loves bike you can take that too.
Virgil Schwake
The family really enjoyed going to the park. It was very clean and well kept. Absolutely beautiful. We were visting from a rural area and I wasn't expecting much.. we can see trees anytime we want by just opening the door. But It was a pleasant surprise. The Cloud gate was good to see as well and my kids loved playing in the water "park" in side the park. Only complaint I have is the parking was rather expensive.. but that seems to be the same everywhere.
Seth Killian
Nice midday trip to see the bean during a work trip. Was pretty crowded but folks mostly respected each others space.
Samuel Stephen
Great being there, scenic place for photography and hang out with friends and families. Happy to be there on a day with lesser people so I could take better pictures.
James Brown
I enjoy going to the bean (cloud gate) it’s beautiful and I usually go to Chicago jn March on our school spring break schedule. It’s usually just a little chilly, and not super busy. Lots of things to see at this park and lots of things within walking distance (even with a permanent knee damage)
Jay Preston
Millennium Park is such a beautiful place! You get to see the Bean and then the fountains with the faces that shoot water out. Such a fun experience and worth the effort if you are in Chicago. It's a long walk from Navy peer so don't make that mistake like I did lol. There is parking that is under or around the park. I recommend going there and walking around.
Traci Vanek
Absolutely loved this park. Lots of people but manager to keep the park clean. If you have little ones or not so little, great place to go and it's free.
Christina Thomas
I love Chicago at Christmas time,,,, however that Christmas tree does not do Chicago proud though. I have seen bigger trees in my neighborhood. Hopefully we can get a New York size tree next year.
Randy Crawford
This was a nice park for an urban setting. It was well laid out with art sculptures and green spaces as well. Lots of beautiful flowers were in bloom. My son's favorite was the reflective art sculpture piece. We liked it a lot.
Mike Holbrook
With Juanita Holbrook and our friends Mike and Inah. The Bean, lakefront (Lake Michigan) buildings, plants and fountain with people display.
Vishnu pillai
Awesome place to chill, listen to great music and enjoy food trucks! For free concerts get in early for a good place. Heart of Chicago, so many photo opportunities!
Melissa Warner
Fun place to check out. Neat artwork at the park. Lots of people there and not many people wearing masks so be careful of your health. Currently ice skating is going on.
Jenne Holmes
If you like people this is the place to be. There is never a shortage of people either checking out the bean or the fountains. Always makes for a great place to sit and people watch. Also some beautiful examples of architecture surround the park.
Beth Richardson
Definitely a must do if in the area and it’s free! Parking nearby. Tons of restaurants and shops nearby.
stella evans
Do not miss this. The bean is a beautiful photo spit. Lots of people but it’s easy to find a place for your pictures.
Binté Amer
Lovely park, nice path to walk around and see some downtown views. I went there during day time and also night time. Each time spectacular views. Make sure you’re bundled warm in winter cause it gets cold real bad here with all the open air.
M Miraz Hossain (এম. মিরাজ হোসেন)
Wonderful place. It is green and large enough. Beautiful trees all around.
Location is perfect.
Ideal for friends and family.
There is a golf club inside the park.
Mind blowing wind and sun.
Enjoy ice cream when walking.
Only sitting benches need to be improved.
Scott Looney
What a great place to walk and people watch, ive been here a dozen times and will probably go there a dozen more.
Sheriff-deen Adeola (TLSB)
This was a really amazing visit for me. I'll upload a YouTube video soon.
I entered from the fountains along Michigan avenue. It was great seeing little kids and some adults getting wet and enjoying the water.
Next, I proceeded to the Cloud gate and I've never seen anything better sculpted. It really is a seamless construction that anyone will appreciate.
After that, I visited the Pritzker pavilion and park and man, it really is an awesome design. The architect really outdid himself on that one.
Visitors should expect something of interest for everyone both young and old. Also there are many sights to see both inside the park and around it.
Robert Lee
Here's a few reasons why Millennium Park during Fall Season is a wonderful location to visit. Don't simply take my words for it. Please view the pictures and make a decision based on them.
Chad Warner
Great place to spend some time. Fun to walk around and through the bean. Huge park nearby for kids to play. The water feature just a little to the south is also lots of fun. We stop here every so often and enjoy it every time. There are very pretty gardens and landscaping as well.
Ana
Beautiful park with great city scenery for pictures and enjoying a nice walk. Can also find the famous bean and the millenium fountain at this park.
killerqueen
Very clean. I loved all the plants and greenery. A must see whenever you travel to Chicago.
Joe Manny
It’s a beautiful park, within the park you can have museums, a kids playground, place to relax have a beer, or just relax under some shade .
Deanna Howlett
Very very nice park. Gives the area an authentic "park" feel. Accessible via public transportation and 1 block from Baskin Robbins! The big shiny bean is overrated for me as an adult, but my young child loved it! Lots of people visiting on a Sunday!
James Nguyen
Can't go to Chicago and not walk around here. It's always makes me happy. The amphitheatre always has something going on and perfect for a picnic or whatever you need to hang out.
Donna Noel
The park was absolutely amazing. The Christmas tree display was beautiful also. The park was very clean and inviting. There was ample room for several groups of people to take pictures without getting in each other's way. The ice skating rink was clearly visible from every angle near the balcony railing. A must see in Chicago.
Patricia Tamayo
Great place to enjoy art, green parks, picnic, the Crown fountain! Its a must in Chicago. There are events also, you must check the calendar. There are nice and clean restrooms also.
Renee R (Renee`)
Felt really safe despite what I have seen on the news about crime downtown. Plenty of police presence and friendly people all around. I have not been downtown since the summer of 2019(Pre-Covid). Really enjoyed the different food trucks, restaurants, and all the sites that I got to see and experience.
Taylor
Of course you have to see cloud gate, crown fountain, and ride bicycles while visiting Millennium Park we loved everything here, especially cooking off at the fountain and then heading to snap some cool photos at cloud gate and listened up they have free concerts in this park check those out ! Ride a bicycle down to the pier if you have the time !
Arnold Cap
Amazed at all the people from all over, it's great to see all the smiles! The memories they're making! People asking strangers if they would like some help taking pictures! The laughter...
Beautiful!
Adrian Mak
Really nice place. My kids loved looking at their disfigured reflections in cloudgate! I personally found it a bit offensive because a child came up to me and said “Your reflection looks fat! Fat boy, look at your reflection. This convex bean makes you look fat and chubby. Fat boy!”
Nice and clean, with shade from the baking sun!
Dinger Chat
Unfortunately we got to the park around closing time so we didn't get to see most of it. Plan accordingly though un like us, because it is a fun piece of Chicago History to see. There is parking underneath the park, but if you can take a ride share to it, walk, or ride a bike, that would be your best bet to enjoy the park. There are several food vendors and drink shops all around the perimeter also, including food and drink vendors inside the park. We went @ night and felt very safe, and they did have park security around which was nice to visibly see also.
Marvin Mollinedo
I cannot get over how many people come here. It’s great. Definitely the place to visit when you are here. I brought true whole family with me. Good fun. Lots of families here just hanging out and relaxing. This summer was extremely hot but we still made the best of it. Check out the music going on in the area and the food trucks.
Wendy
It was really great and pleasant to walk in down town Chicago, it was beautiful, clean and we didn't feel unsafe. We walked from the skydeck attraction which was about 7 blocks. It was a beautiful cool and breeze day.
Alexis Alonso
Closed to the great downtown of Chicago, family friendly, and open to all lover of life, also I recommend to has the experience swimming in the lake, it is like a big pool, and very clean. Chicago residents are very friendly and open to assisting you. Great people and great city
Sara Fonseca
A beautiful park in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city! We loved viewing Cloud Gate, then walked a few trails to enjoy the flowers, dipped our toes in the wading area, and took played at the play area for quite a while. We finished up by viewing Buckingham fountain. Very beautiful park with lots of features and space to enjoy!
Alexis Pina
Millennium park is a great place to hang out, go for a run, tale a walk, etc. There are a myriad of business all around and near the park which is super convenient. The metro station is a 5 minute walk from the park. 10 minute walk east and you'll find a beautiful walkway next to the water. Millennium park is awesome and a must for anyone visiting chicago.
Po Shin Tsai
Here are Chicago's iconic sights that will leave you with endless photos
Veronica Sepulveda
If you are from out of town great place to walk and enjoy some beautiful views of the city.
October Hertenstein
Easy to get to?
Yes! Just walk right in! There’s also taxis near if you need them!
Anything worthwhile near?
Right in the middle of Chicago! Everything is near :)
Was it fun/did it taste good?
It was fun! Walking along the bridge and taking pictures with the bean (AKA Cloud Gate) is always worthwhile!
Is it safe to go during COVID?
Completely outside and breezy it is safe, but keep in mind it will probably be crowded in certain areas! Maybe wear a mask for those parts of the park.
How was it overall?
Fun, and if you live in the city it’s a nice place to sit and see some flowers!

Parking in the garage is expensive (for those of us from smaller cities), but it was worth it to enjoy Cloudgate ("The Bean") and the rest of the park. A must see when in Chicago.
Mark Vatousiou
Very cool views of the city. The "Bean"and fountain
Meechi5000 Jackson
If you're a visitor to Chicago, this is one of the areas you should put in your itinerary to see. My wife and I enjoyed a summer concert, from a legendary Chicago band. The atmosphere was breath taking. Looking at the Chicago skyline, while listening to music and enjoying the company of the locals, was quite memorable. I highly recommend going to Millennium Park. You won't be disappointed.
Michael Powell
Just a brilliant open space to the east of the city, with tge famous bean and so much more. Superb for a stroll or a sit down and watch the world go by.
Johannes Siegele
Really cool park with a lot of activities.
Joi Kruger
Fantastic spot with lots of great programming in the summer. The orchestra has open rehearsals some mornings, so you can bring your coffee and enjoy. In the evenings, you can often catch a performance, we saw ballet one night and a orchestra concert another evening.
Mark
Was hot, humid, and miserable the day we went, but it's always a ton of fun. Great place for little kids to walk and run around, many things to climb on, look at, etc. My family had a great time, plus great exercise. Worth checking out if you are visiting Chicago.
Jessica Grover
Lovely park, though I find it a bit strange you can't walk on any grass. The sights were as expected, and on a weekday morning almost no crowd. Beautiful park and a good way to start a day before going into a museum or other sightseeing.
Alexandra Plaza
We were visiting from Florida…such a beautiful park! I wish we could have something like this and the concert SPECTACULAR ❤️❤️❤️
Nicole Marion-Harding
I enjoyed seeing the bean and the park was so beautiful and the design is beautiful
Ginger Jiron
Really beautiful park. The Christmas Tree and all the decorations are stunning. The ice rink was beautiful and we caught it right at opening so the ice was nice and smooth. Not too many ppl at the bean so we got to hang out and take great pictures!
Athena Velasco
This is a lovely park, lots of grassy spots to seat and a lot of paved walkways for a populated city. There's a good amount of shade and usually something pretty to look at nearby. The Bean (cloud gate) is always popular and usually has lots of people nearby. The gardens are very sweet, floral, and fragrant.
Jeff Morgan
The city of Chicago was wise to build and develop such a masterpiece in the heart of downtown!
Alex Molina
Always busy. Perfect picture is impossible. Always crowded and more after covid. Parking is not easy to find and is not cheap. Good touristic area get water and sunblock and get ready to walk. This park is near everything in downtown Chicago.
Michael Sharpe
4th of July wasn't much going on. But the splash park was a big hit! It was really nice out. With so many people moving to and fro, yet it felt really safe. Shout out to Chicago P.D.
Ally Bright
We had an amazing time at Millenium Park! The lavender flowers are beautiful and perfect for taking photos!! We loved the tall bushes surrounding the walkways, too. Great spot for photos or a nice garden walk. Was not too crowded and very close to the bean! It was really clean and there was even some water kids were playing in.
Joel Youngs
What a fun place to visit especially for my 5 grandkids. The Bean was awesome for both young and old to see and on a great autumnal evening is a great way to experience downtown Chicago in all its Midwest glory. So whether you are downtown to dine, shop, or catch the theatre make some time in your schedule to enjoy the space and unique experience. Grant Street parking is a safe place to park and the walk is easy for all !
Belinda Rodriguez
Beautiful and always a great place to take family when visiting from out of state
Andrea
It's nice and spacious. There are usually a lot of events going on in the summer. There can be a lot of people during the weekend. The downside is that you can only go in through certain check points and you and your belongings need to be checked to enter. The upside to that is more security, it should be safer.
Varghese Philip
Millennium park is the go to in Chicago city and the best place to sit around and enjoy your day. There’s lot of shade to relax and unlimited space to walk. And the epic must see Chicago icon the beam is right in the middle of the park. There’s also food trucks right next to the park where you can buy stuff to eat and they are perfecto !!!
Irisis NaMe
The centerpiece of Millennium Park in Chicago, is the giant sculpture Claud Gate (the bean). It was beautiful to see it even though was closed. So, It was a complete shame we couldn't touch and get closer. It would have been nice to see this shiny exterior reflecting us in the pictures. But it was an amazing experience.
Astghik Mkhitaryan
Excellent place to go bith in winter and and summer. In summer there are many outdoor events such as concerts. In winter there is an ice rink, Christmas tree and beautiful lights. And of course there is the cloud gate to take pictures in any weather.
Azio Photography•
I loved it!! It's such a good way to be with family and talk while walking around and seeing so many beautiful plants. My mother and father absolutely loved seeing the bean!
Otis Gatlin
Always a great place to hear music and have great food! This is also is a must see tourist destination for locals and out of towners. The great art and concerts make this a must see destination in a great city.
Shadow Lynx
The park is beautiful and you can't help but spend too much time looking at The Bean (which has an official name that absolutely nobody actually uses). The animated faces in the clear bricks are also great if a little bit disconcerting. The ice rink is a good winter activity but bring your own skates as the rentals are brutal (and not cheap).
Angelica Ortiz
I had the best time. Showed my friend around the city from Austria. Took them to the bean (or as he says, the big peanut haha) and then we went ice skating and took lots of beautiful city photos! Def a great time to show visitors!
VICTOR R.S.
Glad I could bring my family here for our mini vacation. Kids loved it. Exactly as expected 👌 …
mayank omar
A must visit place if you are a traveller to Chicago. Iconic coffee bean structure with a huge park connected to the lake. I visited during christmas time, so it was all lit up with lights. Had a good skating rink to enjoy the winters
Norma Saenz
I visited the ice skating rink. Even with so many people there, it was fast and organized. The skates are not in a very good condition. Bring your own and make a reservation.
Cassandra Bucklin
Millennium Park is an experience you can't miss out on! They have plenty of room for Social Distancing & offer live music throughout the park. Don't miss the opportunity to check off a Bucket list item in Chicago!
Rw Barkey
I had to wait an hour and 45 minutes to catch my train back to Michigan City. It was beautiful watching the ice skaters. Made me jealous as I used to skate a lot when I was a kid. Millennium Park has two skating venues, and it is a remarkable Park. There was a lot of security and in fact I was wanted to check for any weapons before entering the area to watch the skating.
Nora Khanoba
Nice place to spend the afternoon. Could get food and have a small picnic (in the seating areas, please don't litter). There's enough space for social distancing too. Great atmosphere and skating rink. The Christmas tree here was also big and beautiful. Overall great experience.
Henry Hughes
Beautiful park and amazing. Highly recommended for walks, sight seeing, chilling. Cloud Gate is amazing but often busy. Go there during the week if you’re a tourist.
Reylinie “Rey” Arnaud Bencosme
Beautiful park with great views. Clean environment.
Derrell Eidson
Was an enjoyable time went around 8am on Sunday and did not have to wait in any lines got to go in and see and touch and get awesome pictures of the BEAN then we visited the cancer survivors garden since I am 1 year cancer free after 8 surgeries - the garden and the information stands about cancer was very cool - I wish I could have had my visit to the park maybe 2 to 3 weeks earlier so I vuld have seen it in bloom - but - all the trees were if full fall bloom of orange and red and yellow and it looked so beautiful- I enjoyed the park and my visit to Chicago once again
Craig Coburn
The bean is cool. Even in 32 degree weather. We did not opt to skate, but it is free. Skate rental is like $16. Would easily be 5 stars except the parking was ridiculously expensive at the lot under the park.
Chris Stone
Extremely clean and beautiful park. Lots to see and do around this area. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and activities. Very tourist driven but incredibly rich in history and incredible architecture
C
Lot to do around here. Beautiful scenery, lots of places to take pictures. You can get a lot of great images at the bean. You could easily spend a half hour to an hour at different angles. The fountain from Married with Children is a close walk, the water is crystal clear, Navy Pier is a nice long scenic walk with the city skyscrapers in the background.

It has been a while that I did not go to Chicago. Due to pandemic they fenced around cloud gate. It was not crowded which was good. There was mini golf to enjoy nice weather outside. Maggie Dalley park is new for me, really nice place to hangout especially for kids for it was closed for timebeing.
Gary “TXUS DLK” Core77
Beautiful, just like the last time I was here 16-17 years ago. In fact, it might look and feel cleaner even, due to restrictions in use. Not too many people there these days, so you might catch a few picture opportunities without the huge crowds.
Jeff Davis
Had a great visit in Chicago. If you haven't driven down town before. You will not forget that part of your adventure. All rules you are use to are out. LOL
Larah Oh
Lived to play around with my cam at the bean. Nice lil stroll, well connected paths to the water and round along the river. The faces object was out of order. Grateful about the restrooms at street level
Yazan Al-Khuzai
If you are a local or just visiting, Millennium Park needs to be on the top of your list. Not only will you enjoy walking down Michigan Ave. To reach it, but you will also enjoy all the cool pictures you will take in front of the giant chrome bean. There are many events that take place especially during the Summer... But what a beautiful sight it is when the bean is covered in snow during the Winter.. You see, coming to Chicago, you don't need to limit yourself to Summer visits.. Even the Winters here are fun and beautiful, with all the holiday lights, it will be a memorable experience. I totally recommend it.
SHUBHAM GUPTA
A bright beautiful scenic place. There are many cafes nearby where restrooms are available. Also one can go to libraries or media-buildings. Most restaurants only provide services to customers.
Diego Valencia
Great place to spend time with friends and family. The Bean is a nice sculpture that you must visit during your trip to Chicago. Needless to say the surroundings of the park.
Alex K
All hail the giant bean!
The bean is a lot cooler in person than I expected. Walking under it was nice and it was enjoyable. The waterfront and event space were cool too. The area was clean and the bean was satisfyingly shiny.
Patrick Landry
This must be the most visited place in Chicago now. Nice place to walk around. Most people congregate around Cloud Gate (the bean) but the park is a large area with other spots to discover.
Melissa Flores
Great park overall lots of green area the soccer field the medium sized kids play area a few food stands and well the bean is there but is super packed other than that nothing special about the park itself not much going on just a nice spot to walk around .
Ernest Cummings Jr
Beautiful tourist destination in Chicago. Home to the Bean! Unfortunately we couldn't see the Buckingham Fountain because it was turned off but the park is a must do.
Radion
This place is fantastic, you have an opportunity to enjoy the gorgeous views of the city and have a good walk around the park. Buildings and the lights bring a special vibe, lake is very close and the park is well maintained. Enjoy your visit!
Kerri Jo Sweeney
Best place to park that we found, its like $14 for all day and one of the only non street parking we found that could accommodate our 6" lifted truck. I'd highly suggest to park here and Uber or walk around the city. The park is beautiful, will have to visit again once all of the flowers have bloomed, this was our first trip to Chicago and we had to make Milennium Park our very first stop.
Da-Wang Wu
Highly recommended to any visitors coming to Chicago. Millennium Park has multiple attractions that visitors should definitely check out: Crown Fountain, Cloud Gate and the Pavilion! It’s always lively with many different events happening here (pre-COVID). Also, it’s very close to the Art Institute of Chicago and the Michigan Lake - great to have at least one day in the downtown Chicago!
Sonia Stevie
Beautiful park. Trees/flowers blooming and the huge ornamental planters were being worked on that day. The "bean" is blocked off so don't expect to get too close.
Jay E
Despite the rainy weather the park was really nice. Well maintained and clean. The rain had a plus side because it wasn't very crowded. Make this a definite stop spot on your next visit to Chicago.
Orianna Snook
Nice park. Wish we could have a had a better weather day on our visit. You can't go near the bean because of the pandemic....hmmmm.
Sue Tellez
Every year we come here to walk around the park and take some pictures by the Chrismas Tree. This year is all fenced up and you have to stand in line to be able to get into the park. Line was superlong and very crowded. We just walked down Michigan Ave to Ghirardelli and had a cup of Hot Cocoa and took some pictures there. Plenty of Christmas Trees...
Rose M
Nice place to visit. The bean is also pretty at night. Spectacular! The bean is an amazing concept. It reflects the building around
Emidio “Chitofinho” Maunze
I always went to the Bean but never been inside. It's amazing. I had the chance to witness this gorgeous Solar Spectacle 'Chicagohenge'.
Rohan Desai
Nice place, do visit before sunset cause you will rarely see anything in the evening, you can see reflection of skyscrapers but since light is low you could see touch marks on the glass of people.
Manideep Nemani
Have you ever experienced calm before the storm ? Go to this park early in the morning around 7 and stay there until 9.30 and you get to experience that. The park is quiet in the morning and was beautiful to walk around. Slowly the place started getting crowded and the traffic with the people coming to offices
Asim Nabi
Awesome
This amazing bean is surrounded by parks and walk ways that you can run around all day long.
The eateries are delicious near by to this place , millennium park is a good place to sit and enjoy the cool weather.
River walk is just a mile away which is straight, the skyscrapers give it a view like never experienced before.
Awesome place to snap a pic
Prashant Sharma
This place is ecstatic by itself. You can say that you were above the clouds. The cloud gate is amazingly beautiful. I loved it's mirrors from different angles. It shows your different form from different angles. There is so much to do, one can spend whole day here.
Jameson Greenwood
Very cool area with awesome sights and vibes, the bean was more interesting than I expected. Definitely check it out if you're nearby.
Glenda Life Journey USA
Our very first place to visit today, although the bean is varicated like last time we were there last October. Nice place to visit for fresh air!
Sekhar Nalluri
Millennium Park is a public park located in the Loop community area of Chicago, operated by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. The park, opened in 2004 and intended to celebrate the third millennium, is a prominent civic center near the city's Lake Michigan shoreline that covers a 24.5-acre (9.9 ha) section of northwestern Grant Park. Featuring a variety of public art, outdoor spaces and venues, the park is bounded by Michigan Avenue, Randolph Street, Columbus Drive and East Monroe Drive. In 2017, Millennium Park was the top tourist destination in Chicago and in the Midwest, and placed among the top ten in the United States with 25 million annual visitors.
Debbie Hendricks
I haven't ever gone to millennium park at Christmas and I thought it was amazing , we went to Chris kringle mart first then to millennium park , I loved it the ice skating, the lights on the trees , all the people , the hot chocolate it felt like Christmas ❤
Annette Herrera
It was freezing cold so we didn’t really explore much of it, but it was a great size, looked very clean & extra beautiful with all of the snow. Home to the famous bean, which we got to see & take pictures of with a very, VERY small crowd (we got lucky). They have an ice skating rink & a public bathroom. Loved seeing several law enforcement officers on foot patrol!
Kay Jay
Love the bean. Also called Cloud Gate. Go to Millennium Park and have a look at it for free. Get an Uber or Lyft and get dropped by the park. You don't have to pay anyone anything to visit this park or get close to the Cloud Gate.
Krystle Suzanne
The bean is fenced off right now due to COVID concerns, however I am STILL giving 5 stars- I am glad they are taking necessary precautions, and this was still a very memorable part of our vacation!! Such a gorgeous park as well, and in a great part of the city! Definitely recommend checking it out if you are visiting the Chicago area!!! (No fees to enter, we just paid a small fee to park on the street)
Leanne Marie
Go visit during December! It may be chilly, but watching local schools perform and sing songs at the bean definitely warms you right up.
Kaellolain 361
It's all about the experience and also the experience itself costs nothing except the time to walk there or the more than +$25 in parking if you decide to do that and manage to make it back before an hour. Definitely recommend walking up and down the street to take other pictures if you have time.
Jerry Zhou
One of the greatest artistic attractions. It was a short walk from my hotel to see these beautiful pieces of art. Pictures don't do it justice. 'The Bean,' in particular, is awe-inspiring. To see my own reflection change as I walk closer and away from 'The Bean' changes my perspective on how I relate to the city around me. The Millennium Park is a must-see if you're a tourist in town.
Your Helpful Wendy
I went to the millennium park twice during the day and at night.
I liked both times because it was simply amazing to see how many people gather around these gorgeous place and how clean it was.
This is a must go place when you visit Chicago.
You have many benches where you can sit and relax and because we went during the winter they were also had an ice skating rink where people can rent the ice-skating shoes and play there too.
The Christmas decoration was so beautiful with a huge Christmas tree in the middle that I fell in love with.
Pona Tran
Such a beautiful park! Well curated and makes any picture you take successful. Lots of people around the bean but on the day I went it was a bit cold so it wasnt overcrowded. I was able to get some really nice pictures! Highly recommend coming here.
Ольга Демидова
Beautiful downtown oasis with lots of attractions. Beautiful fountains, lovely cloud gate, amazing bridge and interesting children playground. Lots of beautiful flowers and trees. The most time there are too many people there. To take photos with no other people on them come early in the morning.
Ryan Nunes
Great spot to take the kids plenty of fun things and activities to do. Parking was quite expensive in the garage. I believe it was $27 for 0 to 3 hours. Kids had a blast I would suggest bringing a towel for the slides because they are stainless steel and tend to get very hot during the summer
Suci Farahdilla
We traveled far just to see this famous landmark of Chicago and were in Millennium Park the day after Christmas. The weather was nice that day. As seen in the picture, it was crowded with so many people coming. We can see people enjoying their time there, either alone or with company. You can also find ice skating rink and playground nearby, It's a nice serenity in the midst of busy city life.
Adam Schmitt
Without a doubt a definite must see in this beautiful city.
As many folks have said before, it’s super cool and exceptionally busy. It would prove extremely hard to obtain a picture free of spectators.
There is a nice Christmas tree in the area too, which is great for family pictures.
Elizabeth Kingsley
Lots of things to see and do all year around. We went in winter and watched the ppl skating. Lots of pokemon stops is always a plus. The kids loved playing on the play ground . The pathway was partially a climbing area. Great views of lake Michigan. Beautiful garden area. I will have to see it in summer.
Col Lan
A sprawling park with a ton of stuff to do. Cloud Gate, a concert venue, several pretty fountains, and a botanical garden. You also have plenty of hot dog stands to pick from (which are a must do). It’s simply one of those places you can’t go to Chicago without visiting because there’s so much there and nearby. Nearby, in walking distance, is also the Chicago Art Institute, so stop by and see some iconic paintings and artifacts you’ve seen your entire life.
Ciera Langhorne
Nice park in the middle of such a busy city . There is a multitude of activities and art to see along with getting exercise. The only downside is you can still hear the bustle of the city wich detracts from the green space but it is still very relaxing.
Wil Frankenberry
Was an interesting display of artwork with the formation on metal into a bean, very large and mirrored chrome. Lots of people because of a lollapalooza concert.
Becky Snella Day
Christmas lights were beautiful. I have never seen the bean. We walked around and enjoyed the park
Vang Pao Lee
Such a beautiful park. This is one of the best parks in the USA. Highly recommend it. If you are near Chicago, go see it. If you're planning a trip, plan to come here. The back drop of Lake Michigan is mesmerizing. We had so much fun here at the park.
Barry Downs (FABS)
Enjoyed being able to walk the park. The Mile is so perfectly intact. The old and new well blended together. The cloud , you have to. Otherwise you haven't paid your respects to the CHI.
Carmen Lam
2 lovely metal structures and 2 bridges (one of which is very beautiful too). You can take 1 hour to slowly walk around and enjoy everything. There even a fountain with coins that some people were dipping their feet for luck, i guess. found the fountain of faces which has continuous water falls on one side and a face on the opposite side that spouts water every 4 minutes when the face makes a kissy face (has another pillar on the other side of the park). the kids really loved it.
Amethyst Fanning
Millennium Park always makes me feel like home. Everything from the lawn to the garden to the vendors to the fountain faces make it stand out as a place people just want to be. The hustle and bustle of people around you gives you that city feel and the place is beautiful and so full of culture.
B
I love this park!! it's nice and great for a walk or run. it's beautiful to come during the fall because of all the wonderful colors you can here. many people were taking photos here and there were many photoshoots. I would recommend coming by and relaxing here. also great for people watching.
Michael Calhoun
Wonderful big city park. We we're here the week before Christmas and it was all dressed up for the holidays. People playing, skating and enjoying the displays. A trip to Chicago wouldn't be complete without a stop here
Ricardo Flores
Beautiful as always. I'll never get over how nice downtown Chicago is. No other city like this one, and Millennium Park sits right in the middle of it. A perfect balance between serenity, nature, and city-life. Most of the landmarks were closed due to the covid, but just walking around is still beautiful. Not overcrowded when I went, and lots of ice cream for sale.
irSilviana
Beautiful park in the downtown of Chicago, a must visit spot to escape from the busy life and refresh our mind, body and soul :)
With beautiful scenery of the city, the Beans and a big garden.
On the weekend and in every season there's always some event held in the park.
Nice place to hangout and meeting with friends and family 😉
Shari Michael
Beautiful park, beautiful structure and nice skating rink. You can see the Chicago skyline in the reflection of the Bean and it is very cool. A must see, for sure!
Dimitry Petruk
One of the best sights in Chicago! I really like a spend time there with my friends or just by myself. It's so cozy over there, clean and beautiful. You need to grab a few couple coffee because it takes a lot of time to see the whole park at once. First of all it's "Bean" or our "Cloud", second of all you need to visit spitting fountains, after that, "Jay Pritzker Pavilion", next is Art Institute, and "Buckingham Fountain" and a lot of things along the way. I really recommend this place for tourists. It's perfect view for downtown and you can have fun over there! Thank you.
Mac Adelman
Millennium Park is a great oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Chicago! While it’s known for “The Bean,” it’s got more to offer than just that! The green spaces are a great place for a picnic or just relaxing. You’ll never feel completely isolated from the city, though, as the skyline beautifully borders the park. My best advice for tourists - get your Bean picture, then move on to check out the remainder of the park. All in all, it’s a must-see destination when in Chicago!
Eldric
A great destination for any traveler coming to Chicago. It can get crowded but it depends on the time of day. The bean is a very interesting aspect of the park. The city views are also impressive. The skyscrapers and older downtown buildings are right at the park. The photo opportunities are everywhere.
Abigail
I came here a while back, around a couple years ago, and recently and it was so nice both times. I love the big bean and the metal rails and amphitheater (we actually saw a live practice session today in preparation for their performance in a couple days!). I also like how you can take lots of cool photos from the metal road thingy and the well maintained lawn and flowers. It's genuinely a nice place to be. There was also a place where you could rock climb, rollerblade and skate during the summer and during the winter, they freeze the area so you can ice skate!
Mandy Nelson
Great Experience but Parking is EXPENSIVE! Disappointed that the snowy conditions inhibited us from seeing the skyline, but it was a unique and fun experience all in the same. Parking was covered, warm, and convenient, but expensive. $19/half hr. Don’t think that if the weather is bad it won’t be busy. There were a lot of people braving the snow storm to capture their magic moments. Beautiful park. I can’t wait to go back when the weather is nicer.

Millennium Park is a public park located in the Loop community area of Chicago in Illinois operated by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and managed by MB Real Estate. The park was intended to celebrate the third millennium and is a prominent civic center near the city's Lake Michigan shoreline that covers a 24.5-acre (99,000 m2) section of northwestern Grant Park. The area was previously occupied by parkland, Illinois Central's rail yards, and parking lots. The park, which is bounded by Michigan Avenue, Randolph Street, Columbus Drive and East Monroe Drive, features a variety of public art. As of 2009, Millennium Park trailed only Navy Pier as a Chicago tourist attraction and by 2017 it had become the number one tourist attraction in the Midwestern United States. In 2015, the park became the location of the city's annual Christmas tree lighting.
Planning of the park began in October 1997. Construction began in October 1998, and Millennium Park was opened in a ceremony on July 16, 2004, four years behind schedule. The three-day opening celebrations were attended by some 300,000 people and included an inaugural concert by the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus. The park has received awards for its accessibility and green design.Millennium Park has free admission, and features the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate, the Crown Fountain, the Lurie Garden, and various other attractions. The park is connected by the BP Pedestrian Bridge and the Nichols Bridgeway to other parts of Grant Park. Because the park sits atop a parking garage and the commuter rail Millennium Station, it is considered the world's largest rooftop garden.
Some observers consider Millennium Park the city's most important project since the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893.It far exceeded its originally proposed budget of $150 million. The final cost of $475 million was borne by Chicago taxpayers and private donors. The city paid $270 million; private donors paid the rest, and assumed roughly half of the financial responsibility for the cost overruns. The construction delays and cost overruns were attributed to poor planning, many design changes, and cronyism. Many critics have praised the completed park.
In 2017, Millennium Park was the top tourist destination in Chicago and the Midwest, and placed among the top ten in the United States with 25 million annual visitors.
Ivann Garc
Beautiful place, I just didn’t like how strict the officers was about “how to walk around”, not sure if that is common
Rob H
Pretty sweet place to have fun in the park. And it won't cost you anything either (unless you're hungry).
There are several things to see and do at Millennium park but ultimately it's just a park so don't go looking for the swings and slide. The bean is probably the biggest attraction, it's an all metal ball that you can view at cool and differing angles. Make sure go go under the bean for a really cool view of yourself. I recommend you bring the kids WITH bathing suits as they cannot resit to go in the splash park. The two opposing faces in the super duper video screen will eventually shoot water out of their mouths and the kids love to try to run around without getting soaked.... but really getting soaked. Their's also a stage for orchestra concerts if you are lucky to be around when they are on. Often there are also art exhibits and other seasonal or weekly things to view.
During the winter you can do some ice skating as well. Bring extra warm gear as Chicago is mega cold during the winter.
David and Ruthie Wu
It was a great sunny day to walk around and enjoy the outdoors. I walked to Millenium Park after seeing the Buckingham Fountain and Grant Park. There were so many flowers blooming all around the park. The tulips were very vibrant! I don't ever recall ever seeing tulips in those shades in person before.
I walked by the Crown Fountain which initially looked interesting. When I got closer, it had a creepy face of a person projected on one side. Definitely not picture worthy.
Of course I had to stop by the iconic Cloud Gate. There were so many areas and angles to capture the photo of it. There were some people there but it wasn't overly crowded. Perhaps Mondays are a good day to go!
Wish I had more time to explore the rest of the park.
Katie Anderson
We were here at 9 a.m. on a Sunday during the beginning of January. Very few people were here at this time so it was pretty easy to get pictures. The ground was very icy, wasn't salted very well, so I would just be mindful of that.
Jemeo Bollers
This park is just beautiful! I got there at about 630-7am.. It was the best time to be there because the crowd isn’t there! You can actually get good photos without the interruptions of people lol. This is a must see for anybody visiting Chicago for their first time like myself and I would definitely visit Chicago again!
Georgina ellis
Beautiful and wonderful place to celebrate Christmas got to see my son skate i love it had a great time with my friend from Kentucky they Love are city Beautiful Chicago Millennium Park
Sebastian st-laurent
A must see. Beautiful grounds, plans, butterfly, flowers... some one of a kind art pieces. The city views are also amazing.
Make sure you stop here you won’t regret it you will thank me :0)
Milly Ace
After having breakfast at Wildberry Pancake. My son and I walked through Millennium Park to get to the Art Museum. Since he lives in Virginia and I live in the far Western Suburbs, we tried to enjoy Millennium Park as much as possible. We had a great time! I took tons of beautiful photos which I'm only going part a few, as my photos will be turned into art.
gloryb7
I walked through different parts of the park several times in 24hour period during my vacation. It's great because I discovered something new each time. Morning was the best if you don't like crowds.
Samin siavoshian
This is the place where I thought I should live rather than in San Diego.
I am in awe with the overall city core design and planning.
So classy and spacious to walk around and enjoy all of it.
Love the old and new architectures. The park and overall layout encourages people to stroll and walk about everywhere. Just fantastic!
Also best restaurant in down town Chicago,
You have to go there for sure at least one time in your life
Giovanni Aviles
Beautiful piece of artwork! It looks great even in the winter! It was snowing when I was here but I totally loved the view! Millennium Park is a walk you should do when you need a break from the concrete jungle. Grab a bite and warm coffee and walk the pathway. You won’t regret it!
Marcia Boehm
Absolutely beautiful park near the lake! The Cloudgate sculpture is out of this world! Best of Chicago's lakefront beauty! This park has it all!
Teri S
Oh my goodness, this place is fun for the whole family. We didn't get to see everything because they were setting up for LaLaPalooza. But what we did see was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was so hot out yesterday, lots of people making use of the fountains to cool off. We will be back so we can see the rest of the park and what it has to offer.
Martinez
When in Chicago visiting Millennium Park is a must! We saw the famous Bean and also enjoyed walking around. We also got to see their Christmas Tree and Skating Rink.
Olivia Y.
Beautiful park with much to do. Incredible views and nice paths to walk along. The cloud gate or chicago bean is also found around here and movies can be watched in the park over the summer sometimes. but, other than that, there's not a whole lot much to do in the immediate area.
elsa fragata
The Millennium Park is the heart of Chicago. Locals and visitors alike gather here to picnic in the grass, cool off in the fountain, catch free concerts and movie screenings, and so much more all throughout the year.
But I can’t do it! It’s winter now!
Sazzad Mahmud Shuvo
It's really an amazing place for new tourists in Chicago, it's very close to other attractions. It has a huge multi-layered parking underground as well. A must-visit place when in Chicago.
Robert Calvert
Beautiful park, lovely people. Easy to get to, so long as you aren't bothered by walking. 'The Bean' isn't the only stunning thing to see there, and with all the shade, and stuff to do there, it's worth an afternoon to visit and take it all in. My son and I enjoyed it.
H. Yas
This park is huge! There is way more to see than just the bean. Take a walk, check out the water front, and the food! I love coming here. The amphitheater is huge! Gotta come here at least once everytime I'm in town!
Nika Lucks
I grew up in the Chi. But never been to the Bean! You don't do Tourist stuff when you live there. Lolol.
I don't live in Chicago anymore so now I can enjoy and experience everything the City has to offer!
I love it! I went up for C2E2 (Pop Culture Comic Con) in Dec 2021. The weather was unbelievable! I got to walk around without freezing to death. Around the Bean everyone was upbeat and enjoying the day. So much positive energy. Taking photos, people were with their Families and Loved ones.
This Bean is so Trippy and Fun. I was just laughing and looking at myself, being silly, and just enjoying being in the City. It was great!
Mahima Srivastava
Love Millennium Park. Have walked here so many times and enjoyed it. Beautiful walk by the lake and gorgeous fountain and skyline view from here. Must visit for anyone in Chicago. Stop by the Bean for pictures.
POTATOLIFE 1
Amazing park with great views! It is a little crowded but still nice to visit! In the winter, there is an ice rink! The art exhibits like the bean (Cloud gate) are amazing to view in person as well!
• JayD3vo •
Amazing fun. I got too even see a wedding proposal in front of my eyes LOL! It’s so unique too see all the people from around the world. All the hands touched the bean by thousands, although seems slightly unsanitary too but still super amazing!! Love the hot dog stand next too it LOL
Jay Finesilver
Great iconic part w an amphitheater fountains, cloud gate and more. Well worth seeing.
Anuradha Bhaumick
One of my favorite places to visit in Chicago. A must see for both young and old. The Cloud Gate's reflection of the Chicago skyline is stunning. Choose a pleasant day to visit this place, as it is super crowded and it tends to get extremely annoying and stuffy.
krishan pal singh Rawat
It's the heart of Chicago skyline and many fun activities..situated in center of Down town..
Josh Rock
Is it really a trip to Chicago without a stop at Millennium Park? Besides the iconic "Bean", you have to enjoy a few laps on the rink. Take in the sights by day or recreate your "Hallmark Moment" by doing it at night.
Sandrotti 1
This year was the fabulous concert " Chicago Tuned" on the location of the Millennium Park, so pacific, relaxing and beautiful. I have the opportunity to see live to KD Lang, and just wanna say Incredible!!! Obviously can't leave to walk around to The Bean and his sense.
Vanesa Wysocki
Great centric park in the loop, where you can see the famous bean and the fountain. Perfect for iconic pictures
Dovie
One of the best place to see when visiting the city of Chicago. Can get crowded during the warmer months but its very lively, nice place for walk or small picnic.
Ron Simmons
When is Chicago this is a must see, it does not disappoint Try to find a day and time which have few people to enjoy it more. If you can find the right day and time it is a great photo stop. I do feel bad for the person or persons that have to clean that shiny bean.
Christopher Clayton
Amazing stop on a long road trip. The busy streets, people, and tall buildings make for an unforgettable experience. Of course, you must stop and see the bean!
Karen Honest
Great time in the park. So many things to do. The modern art sculptures and exhibits were lovely. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We had lunch in the middle of the park at Plaza in the Park. It was great!
Rodney Yoswig
So much to see and do here both daytime and nighttime. I've spent many hours, days and nights here photograping whatever catches my eye. I have never experienced and problems or safety concerns. Great place to simply get out and enjoy yourself.
Heather Ientile
My daughters and i love Millennium Park! The bean is always great for pictures and the view in the reflection is great! I love all the concerts they have in the park! So fun! Plus, there are always food trucks on concert night! The Crowne fountains are so fun to play with! My girls love running in the water and the whole park goes crazy when they start spraying water!
Brittany Bula
It was great! Beautiful Christmas decorations. The music was great. It was a cool brisk night out in the park. It was a perfect ending to the weekend. Seeing the bean for the first time was exciting, it not sure it's as high on the bucket to do list and most people talk about it. Neat to say the least. Must see, but dont run!
Mary Biancalana
Millennium Park was a perfect location to take our friends visiting from out of town. The park was decorated beautifully for the holidays, and it was clean and well kept up. We found it very easy to get around to the various areas including the bean and the Music Theater and the ice skating rink. The ice skating was reasonably priced at $11 per skates and the rest rooms were clean and easy to locate. I highly recommend Millennium Park for anyone visiting the great city of Chicago
Jewel Brock
Beautiful around Christmas time! Not only do you get the gorgeous city skyline but you also get the decorated Christmas trees and lights in the background! I definitely recommend!
Beeta Z
Nice area to walk around and smell the flowers. There's also this fountain that you can see faces during the night on the stone. Lovely park.
Atit Gaonkar
One of the must visit places in Chicago. The city is full of architectural miracles. This place is full of amazing diverse things (Museum, Stunning Buildings, Amphitheater, Bean, etc)
Would surely visit the city in winters to get a different feel of the city.
Darin Johnston
Millennium Park never fails to impress! The Bean, the ice skating rink, the general vibe of the surroundings all make it a great place to visit!
Julie Anne Comia
If it’s free, it’s a five star. It is truly full of life and culture. Aside from the bean the structure of where the orchestra is held is magnificent. A five year old kid is dancing to the tune of classical music, there are bunch of people having wine and cheese, and an old couple lying beneath a tree just listening.
Amanda Paiva Almeida
Beautiful park, but extremely busy. The bean sculpture is quite nice.
Gina Marroquín
No a park with a playground but nice to walk around at. Plenty of shopping nearby and the "bean" is located here, so the park is a must see. Highly recommend.
Iman Randhawa
One of the true gems of Chicago! Every time I visit it makes me very happy and a little sad. Happy because I live in Chicago and have access to this amazing place and sad because I’m lazy and don’t make an effort to visit more often!
There are incredible events like classical music concerts during the summer and they are completely FREE! Pack a picnic and enjoy an amazing evening here.
Jose & Jessica Gonzalez
We had the most awesome day walking around not too packed restrooms could use a little housekeeping done other than that this was a great stop awesome day to do it as well lol
Misty Cripps
Really enjoyed this park. Beyond just the Bean and the skating rink, there are so many lovely paths to stroll through the park. Friday mid-morning wasn't crowded at all.
TC Cooper
Seriously IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE! Nestled in the heart of Chicago this place really exceeded our expectations! As you can see from just a couple of the pictures we took its laced with fantastic photography opportunities. Clean and inviting tons of free entertainment for the littles...multiply playground type areas. Really the only suggestion I would make is on site food and or snack options from either food trucks or something like a concession. So pack some snacks or at minimum bring a drink you'll need it!
Joe Rangel
Such an awesome park! I love in Michigan so I don’t really have a park that comes close to the scale of what is here in Chicago. The beautiful skyscrapers, the clean streets, the magnificent mile, the fountain faces, and the Bean give you a chance to see just how much Chicago loves giving people something to look at. A beautiful city skyline you have to experience at least once.
Bren S
Beautiful park! Lots to see but, not on a hot humid day. We enjoyed our time there. The parking garage was super expensive 😫 $18 for an hour 😑!! Plus once you are down there you don't know where you are. Would have been nice to have a map down there of some sort for reference. …
Judi Saichek
Flowers are gorgeous! The kids were having great time in the photo fountain pool. Great summer day after the storm
Matt Fox
Nice place to spend an hour or 2 with lots of photo opportunities including "the bean". There are public restrooms below the amphitheater.
Autumn Butler
It was very exciting to be in Chicago. Millennium Park was okay. I loved the bean the gardens were pretty but seemed wild. But great for pics!
Cin M
This place is so lovely! I came to Chicago on a business trip and I HAD to stop by and see “the bean” I came very early in the morning so there was not that many people. If you want to enjoy and admire this place I suggest waking up a bit early. I was blessed to come here in the fall so the park looked gorgeous. This is a MUST see when you’re in the Chicago area!
JK Trader
Wonderful park in the middle of the chicago.
Location is just left side of the lake Michigan and it is a center of the loof.
Also this great park is surrounded by old historic terrific chicago buildings.
Inside this wonderful park, there are many things to see and pathways to walk. Minigolf is available in the park and many paly grounds spot with diverse concepts for children. Actually those are one of the famous area for the parents.
Daniel Duran
Enjoy a beautiful day at the park as you see cloud gate early in the day! Lots of places to relax and enjoy the skyline in the background of the park!
Marco Panama
The park as a whole is a national treasure. It shows the beautiful architectural behemoth that is Chicago. The bean, Boeing gallery, crowned plaza, and the pavilion are by far the highlights of the entire park.
This is a must for anyone first time visit to Chicago. It is always enjoyable for the second, third etc amount of visits.
Never change chicago!
James Su
The park is so beautiful! Everyone is coming to see around! It is very big, and sometimes will have some music events in the park!
Luis González
This place is a wonderful place. If you are in the state of Illinois and you have the opportunity to visit the city, go through this beautiful place that you will not regret and you will take away beautiful memories for a lifetime.
VR
My first time here, not bad. Bathrooms near by were somewhat clean aside from writing on the wall, but it’s not bad.
Kamal Lalwani
The park itself is well maintained and loved the Bean, there is also a concert area. It's easy to find parking in the millennium parking which is below the park, it took me 20 minutes from the parking to the Bean but I went around the concert area.
Serena Round
Millennium Park has a soft spot in my heart as I attended the opening ceremony when they first opened the park to the public, I remember following a priest who had burning incense in his hand, walking around the park. Now I visit the park often with my husband, even though this place is full of tourists taking pictures at The Cloud Gate, there's always a good park to go for a walk and relax in the middle of busy downtown Chicago.
israel giacometti
Cloud Gate, that's the real name, is not a bean!!! Also NO Ketchup on your hot dog,. Deep dish pizza, a Chicago Landmark
Freddy Dominguez
It's a giant bean!! Jokes aside, this park is beautiful and a must see when visiting Chicago!
Rose Heart
A beautiful park. Great for families to hangout. Many kid friendly activities. Have your walking shoes on.
Noodle Head
Park was beautiful and clean. We didn’t have time to really walk around and explore which I regret now seeing other people’s photos. We just wanted to see the famous bean. Free parking is unheard of and is way overpriced if your just dropping in for a fast photo snap.
Natalie Click
Beautiful park. SO clean. Bathrooms by the stage. Something always going on here. Love the art installations. The art pieces are gorgeous. Also great place to people watch. It's always full of all kinds of people and photographers.
David A.
So much fun! Been here several times and it never gets old. Great to bring new timers and friends!
Jeffery Agyekum Adjei
Simply lovely! Beautiful park! Great for just hanging out alone and people watching, or with family and friends. Awesome architecture. The surrounding food trucks and restaurants are great too!
Sonya Minter
Took the boys to the bean which they loved. Lots of restaurants and stores in walking distance.
Anish Arora
Amazing relaxing green space in the middle of a busy city. Has so much to offer than just the Bean sculpture. Go around the park. Check out the pool and fountain area with the 2 huge screens splurting water. Tonnes of restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. Definitely a cool place to spend your evenings in Chicago.
deborah claybaugh (Skywench)
Nice experience of different surroundings in a close setting. Smells(flowers),touch( water) sight, lots of senses to stimulate.
Ashley Harley
Beautiful as always. Surrounded by beautiful scenery in the heart of downtown chicago. Ample photo ops and close to a ton of restaurants and bars.
Jenifer Castillo
Millennium park in Chicago has this big bean you can go and look at, it very huge and a great experience for tourists to stop by. They do have openings hours so make sure you don’t go to late or security won’t let you stop by
Christine Fiene
Don't miss the 49th Chicago Jazz Festival this weekend. Great music and performers through Labor Day 2019. It's a treasure gift from Chicago to you!
Bring the kid's and have a picnic at the far lawn in the outdoor Pritzker Pavilion (near "the bean"). Or, have a romantic date in the accessible seating close to the outdoor stage. The view of the city at night is amazing. There are food pop up tents and a small art fair to attend.
Everything is accessible. Close by paid for parking. Great washroom facilities also accessible. Easy public transit, also accessible. Don't miss it.
T.L. Palmer
Home of the Bean, and many other wonderful discoveries of Chicago culture! Be sure to visit!
Noorali Damani
In 2017, Millennium Park was the top tourist destination in Chicago and the Midwest, and placed among the top ten in the United States with 25 million annual visitors.
Jon Hack
So we walk up the stairs across from Washington St, heading towards the cloud gate when this delightful music hits us. We sidetrack over to the Pritzker pavilion where a live orchestra is playing. It was fantastic. The kids loved it.
The cloud gate was also a hit. The pictures of it don't do it justice. Standing around it and especially under it is such a neat experience.
Exploring the rest of the park was lots of fun and the kids loved the play area.
Kim Peterson
Great place to visit while in Chicago! A must see!
tamara balazsovits
A must see in Chiago. This park is absolutely beautiful. Well maintained with lots of great spots for nice photos. This is where The Bean is located. It was much bigger than I expected. I really like the modern twist on their fountains, the girl spitting out water is really cool. I recommend visiting this park during your visit to downtown Chicago.
Warren Smyth
The entrance to Millennium Park was very colourful on our visit due to all the flowers and vegetables in bloom, obviously the main attraction is the 'Bean' and it didn't disappoint, it's mirror finish not only reflects the viewer, some more vain than others, it also reflects Chicago's skylines...
Chevette Conley
Had a great time Covering the Magnificent Mile Holiday Parade, and Celebration in Beautiful Chicago!" "My PARIS" in CHICAGO!"
Jeff B
This is a wonderful Park home to the famous Bean statue very large Park. Take a while walking around just to enjoy the sites. If you keep walking through you'll find the Buckingham Fountain that was used in the television sitcom Married With Children. It's got a lot of interesting places to hang out visit sit enjoy people watch read a book have a picnic just enjoy life I recommend anybody and everybody to make a visit here one day just to enjoy the experience and see the beautiful architecture of downtown Chicago from this place.
Riv Love
This is an amazing place with lots of scenery and sites to actually take pictures at. There is always security around and that is a good thing to be able to maintain the park and make sure that things are always safe for anyone. I am very appreciative of the Chicago area and the people that actually took place in making the Millennium Park. 💜💜🖤🖤 this is also a wonderful experience especially when BTS came to Chicago 5-12-2019
Kylie Lawson
Was visiting there to look at the Art Institute of Chicago. Couldn't find The Bean to my disappointment, but I did get catcalled by a couple drunks on the side, plus this random dude walking a bit in front of us kept blowing smoke and it would float back in our faces which was just such a wonderful time. I say that with sarcasm. Jokes aside, there's a lot to do I have to say it's a beautiful city!
Drew Meyerowich
Awesome Experience. Beautiful Weather and Friendly people everywhere. Only challenge is facilities are pretty gross. Fully understand the challenges, but just be prepared
Quaresma Ricardo
While doing research for our trip to Chicago I knew I wanted to see some of the main attractions, like the Willis (Sears) Tower, the Art Institute, Navy Pier, and a few others. The only thing that really wasn’t on my list was Millennium Park. I am so glad I read about it and added it to our to-do list during our trip in June of 2016. It was amazing and we happened to visit on the perfect night. I will share more about that and our visit in a bit, but I wanted to share a little bit about the park first.
Tarun Bhatia
Lovely park surrounded by Chicago skyscrapers. Loved visiting the place and overall energy around it
Darren Sperling
You get what you get here. Overall, the park is wonderful. People tend to congregate in this area and it gets extremely crowded. The park is wonderful and I imagine that once the trees start to bloom it will be beautiful. Seeing all the different shaped buildings and areas is neat.
Sugar
Gorgeous place with a gorgeous view of the city. Living in Chicago, I've been here so many times, but it doesn't really get old. It can get quite crowded, but that's to be expected at any major attraction on any nice day. The only bummer is when they block some of the entrances to the park due to events.
Kitty G
Beautiful urban park with many amenities. Gorgeous Lurie Garden in any season, portrait tower fountain for barefoot, swimsuit clad youngsters in summer, the compelling Bean sculpture, ice skating and rock wall climbing, and wonderful free concerts at Pritzker Pavilion all summer long.
Isaac Horman
Nice park. There is plenty of open area and shade. There are flower gardens and a nice stream along the boardwalk that you can get your feet wet in. There is a great fountain area with huge glass block towers that have faces projected on them. People have big exercise classes on the huge lawn. The giant reflective "bean" is way cooler to see in person than in pictures even though the pictures look awesome.
Shannon
What a beautiful park. We came to walk around, see the bean and the outdoor theatre. It was lovely with all the beautiful tulips and flowering trees. It was a great way to start the day with a cup of coffee enjoying the park. It can get very crowded during tourist times so go early if you want to see the bean.
Daniel Garcia
One of a kind experience! There were so many amazing sights to see. From cloud gate to the gorgeous gardens! Almost every turn we found ourselves in awe at something! Definitely a must see if you are in Chicago.
Teresa Cahill
What a treat...I had such a good time seeing this park, great architecture, restaurants nearby, touristy shops, cotton candy vendors! One of Chicago's finer touristy spots.....
Edson Luck Gonzales
The bean is a popular attraction for the reason that it looks great to see reflections of people, buildings and sky especially in a fine weather like when I visited the place.
Mauro F Cardoso Lins
A must visit Chicago attraction. Superb location, beautiful, easily reached. Variety of museums, great hotels and restaurants really close to the park. The buildings across the street also deserve attention to the many different styles and details.
Frank McClaughry Jr.
I like beans, so obviously I'm going to love one bigger than my head durrrhurrr errer. Pickles and. Onions.
Mariana Orozco
Excellent place to spend time with family and friends. You can rent bicycles and enjoy the beautiful view from Navy Pier to Millennium Park.
joshua-taylor
I’ll begin with saying the Amphitheater is spectacular! It’s a work of Art! I came for the Hollywood and Broadway night free concert and it was a delight. And for being outside, the sound is great! The rest of the Park is cool too. They have a few food stands and public restrooms. I really don’t care for that ugly bean 😭 people go to that like flies but I guess it sorta cute. This park is definitely a must if you come to Chicago though. Like I mean your probably already gonna come so ... Enjoy!!!
Jordan Hill
Amazing sculpture in the heart of the city. To have something this massive draw in people for the amount of time it has is truly a masterpiece. You really can't say Chicago without mentioning "The Bean"
Akhilesh Singh Sengar
Fantastic park in downtown Chicago. Millennium Park has four major artistic highlights: the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate, the Crown Fountain, and the Lurie Garden. Love the atmosphere and vibrancy around this area. Beautiful views of the city…a must go place.
Deidre Tolbert
Had a very nice time at Millennium Park. Even though it was a cool day, the park was kind of crowded with locals there to enjoy a festival that was going on. The fountain of the 2 people spitting at each other provided many with at least a half hour (or on a hot summer day hours worth) of entertainment. The faces change every few minutes. That in and of itself was entertaining. Others found enjoyment playing in the water.
Definitely also enjoyed looking at the "bean". The reflection of the cities skyscrapers off the structure was definitely worth the trip. The area was crowded but if you're in Chicago looking for something fun and free to see and do, definitely check this park out. You will be happy you did.
Mercedes Fuentes
Great place for fun and lots to do just be careful for those with young children in the summer. A friend used to work security and would catch so many older men taking pictures of children (especially in the summer with wet clothes). Unfortunately they could only call the cops if they found actual genitals in their images (ex. parents changing kids in public to avoid long bathroom lines) but most of the time they would have to let them go due to lack of evidence. This can happen anywhere in public and these kinds of people know where to go and make it seem like they are grandparents taking family pics.
Kathy Thomas
The Cloud Gate (aka the Bean) was pretty cool. It's much larger in person and a must see if you're in Chicago.
Constanza Mayer
Beautiful, clean place to go for a stroll and marvel at gorgeous flower arrangements and Chicago's world famous architecture.
Jeremy Scott
Incredible. So many things to do. The variously hidden children’s play things were a nice bonus.
You could spend a whole day here.
Scott Payne
This site is so much more impressive in person than in photos. Loved seeing the sky and buildings reflected in the bean. The rest of the park is a nice place to walk and visit.
Dee B.
I have to visit everytime I am in Chicago. I have a picture of the Bean from all seasons and varying times of the day.
This visit was very busy due to the Christmas tree and ice skating, but enjoyed just as much as other visits
Wol Jinju Vinson (Pearl)
Be prepared for parking prices and know that it's way cheaper and easier to pay online first. During events there are security checks but everyone was friendly and the park was beautiful. The bean was gorgeous, the garden was great and the Chicago food smells were so delightful.
Laughing Lady
We went to see the amazing bean. It was amaze balls!! There was also an ice skating rink, great city scape views with large picture frames for photos, a cafe and dinner place, Starbucks and Panera close by along with other places....and protesters! Cool. Go teachers!
Mariam A
A must see if you’re visiting Chicago. If you want to see the navy pier too, you can walk to it, it’s about 30 minute beautiful walk. Definitely recommend it!
Elizabeth Angasan
Such a beautiful park, especially in the spring when the trees are in bloom and the tulips are out! The "Bean" is an iconic must-see. The trails around the park are lovely.
Mohit Gupta
Great walk especially to the pavilion. Can't miss the gardens.
Joe F
Millennium Park is a must-visit for any Chicago tourist.
This large downtown park off Michigan Avenue has much to offer, including an outdoor concert venue and several interesting public art installations. There are also several beautiful, well maintained gardens.
The most famous art piece is certainly the polished chrome "bean," or "Cloud Gate." Taking a photo at the "bean" is a rite of passage for any Chicago tourist.
There is also ice skating in the winter, and a cafe and restaurant.
Lots to do and see at this downtown gem!
Iam Riza
I was so in love and amazed by this huge park of Chicago - Millennium Park! Best for family stroll, bonding, jog and a lot of attractions can be found in one place.
As a 1st timer tourist here in Chicago, I am quiet impressed how they still value parks and how they keep it clean and maintained.
Park where the bean is erected, skateboarding and a lot of interesting architectures. Thumbs up!
Alma Cristina
We really had a very beautiful time on our first visit to chicago , way upper of my expectations, people so nice every place we go was lots fun, thispark its amazing huge play ground for little ones n grows up, I did enjoyed
Nathan Ver Beek
Just like Cloud Gate, the whole of Millennium Park is a must see in Chicago. If you can catch a show from the amphitheater lawn it adds a little more to the experience as well. Take a walk around and don't miss Cloud Gate and Lurie Garden while you're there!
TheNursejackie
Very relaxing. Fun watching the children splash in the fountain. You must take a picture with the Bean
smily dutchgirl
Millennium Park is clean and well maintained and right in the middle of the city for an extra cool experience. Great place to see art, nature and high rises all at once.
There is a section where people can sit and have a picnic.
A lovely big stage with seating for summer live music concerts and events.
You can also see cloud gate/ the bean here. Definitely recommend if you are spending a day in downtown Chicago
sandeep kadam
Amazing tourist attraction. A bit crowded in the late afternoon and evening to click pictures.
Richard Lohman
The bean - interesting. The faces also interesting. On warm nights there's a guy on the street with a stand filled with chess boards that will play against you. Generally filled with young couples or families.
Jessica Raeann
This place was a lot of fun. They had great places to take photos, or relax a moment. And of course, the art. There was also a garden area that was cute. Certainly a place to check out if you're in downtown Chicago.
Karma LeRose
The Peristyle is a bautiful monument. I only wish they didn't have to reduce the scale (size), yet fully understand since they did it to accommodate people who may have disabilities.
It's a great place to sit & take a break in a hot day.
The only downfall is when parents let children climb all over or reach in the water & splash people.... Or heaven forbid, allow them to (or don't watch while they) go in the water fountain.
It's definitely not a playground, nor a splash pad.
It's a monument meant to be admired, appreciated & respected
If you work nearby, you likely know it as a great place to sit and read a book while feeling slightly removed from some of the hustle & bustle.
It was about 100 degrees when this photo was taken. We took the day off to take a few tweens & a teen to visit various Chicago landmarks including the Peristyle.
The Crown Fountain is a neat place to check out & even gave a little fun & get wet. There is a splash pad type area for the kids. Don't be surprised to see some small kids here for the whole day while their parents sit great off to the side chatting with others. If you can, go during the week or even during the evening.
My husband and I like to walk the whole park, just the two of us, to take in the gardens, the monuments & current exhibits while also enjoying the architectural sights of Chicago's magnificent buildings
Michelle Boudreau
AMAZING!! WE were told to go here and see this...it was deff worth the trip the bean and water falls are awesome
Yuru
Very nice park with Botanical gardens and views of the city. So much stuff to do and options for everyone. Don't forget to walk in the gardens to see all the plants.
Marcus Goff
I really enjoyed Millennium Park. Of course I had to get photos of the Bean and with the Bean. I love the Christmas tree they had there which was nice for taking photos.
I went the right time of the year because it was not crowded and I was able to get some excellent photos.
It highly recommend everyone to visit Millennium Park when you visit Chicago.
Scott Lutz
So I never really thought I would leave a review for a park however I had such a great experience at Millennium Park I really wanted to share it with you. To start off with there is so many things to do around the park! Now I visited in both summer and winter and I honestly have to say I prefer the winter visit. The ice skating was a blast and it was really neat to see the bean covered in snow!!
Sujatha Mahendran
Beautiful open space in the heart of the city. Lovely to stroll around and the bean itself is very cool! Must see in Chicago! Especially on a bright sunny day.
Andres Beltrami
It's an iconic point of down town. I recommend also to go up to any roof top restaurants in front on the park to see the complete view of it. Increíble that the whole park was the unload area of freight trains years ago.
Guineviere Caerlaverock
A very beautiful park that is a quintessential Chicago attraction. Grounds well maintained and Cloud Gate aka the bean is a heavily visited area, even when the weather is less than stellar.
Juan Vila Rodriguez, Tampa Realtor
Millennium Park is a great way to spend time outdoors. The park is known for the "Bean" but it has so much more to offer. There are benches, fountains, amphitheater and much more. Great views of the city skyline.
Jack Decker
It is nice. "The Bean" is a favorite of photographers. Not much else there but a outdoor concert theater but it only has performances in the evening during mainly summer.
Ashok H. chaudhary
In March 2016 I m going to America . I m going to millenium park in Chicago .
Millennium Park is a good place to hang out with family. This place is located in Chicago, USA. Bollywood and Hollywood movies are shot here. A song from Dhoom 3 movie was shot here. This is a very fun place. These are the places worth seeing once in a lifetime .
Eliot Hertenstein
Millennium Park is a wonderful place to spend a few hours and within walking distance from lots of Downtown Chicago.
We visited Millennium Park to kill an hour; however, the abundant space and wonderful architecture made it a memorable part of our visit to Chicago. Millennium Park has 6 entrances, 24 acres of land, and lots of space to sit and eat lunch. There is lots to do, including walking through the wonderful Lurie Garden or seeing your reflection in Cloud Gate (Also known as "The Chicago Bean").
Overall, Millennium Park is a great escape from Chicago's lively atmosphere and a good place to enjoy a book or sandwich.
As for all of my reviews, this review was neither paid for nor endorsed by Millennium Park. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Jerry Lee
Great place to hang out meet people, listen to music, enjoy the greenery and check out some history. Can be a place of peace in the middle of chaos. Of course you have to take in the skyline and beautiful people and diversity of the population. Bees do live in Chicago as seen in the flower garden photo .... a great big YES to millennium park.
Sean Vesey
Beautiful park plenty of activities, bar and areas to relax
Quirky & Creative
Its is on the top of the free things to do in Chicago
Chicago is known for the bean
It is also called the bean
Its always crowded. The view is beautiful there is a walk around the park
You can spend good time here
Whenever i go to downtown i always go here
Alex McLemore
It was great to see the Blue Angel practice the day before their show and the free classic music concert. There's plenty of shade and a nice breeze thay comes through to allow you to co off before heading to more sights
Dexter Welch (Dex)
I've wanted go here for years, not only for "The Bean" but for the monuments, art and live performance. The night I went there was an amazing acoustic set being played, the way it is set up and with the city skyline views there it is simply beautiful!
Billy Hutcheson
Plentiful places to set & rest , Amphitheater for concerts in the Spring-fall & Special events! Just beautiful!! Whole downtown is very clean & friendly.
Zakeer M.S
Big park with interesting landmarks
You can spend a couple of hours there and walk from one end to another and enjoy walking alongside the water. There are museums and certain landmarks throughout the park such as field museum, cloud gate and Buckingham fountain. Cloud gate looked very interesting and a lot of people were around it taking pictures. If you move underneath and stand at the center, you would see the image un-distorted but very small; overall a very interesting piece of work. You get water splash on you around Buckingham fountain. The fountain goes really high up in the air. It was extremely hot the day we were visiting and a bit of splashing water on us was nice.
RAJAT JAIS
Great place to have fun, special with kids because there is a fountain in the park where kids can play, so don’t miss carrying swimming clothes for them. Lots of music and bands around.
Marcela Garcia
When you visit Chicago, it is the most popular place that neet to visit ...beautiful buildings around it and good view to take pictures.....
Malieya LiliPop Williams
We visited Crown fountain. And the bean. Crown fountain was everything we expected it to be! My daughter is 8, my son is 2. They slashed and played in the water for hours.
The fountain is on until 11:00 PM
The water IS chlorinated. Which is good. We were worried about over crowding but there is plenty of room for everyone.
The walls light up with pictures of ppl and about every 10 minutes or so (someone said five but it seems longer) the wall spews water from mouth of the person in the picture. I loved the diversity of races shown at the fountain! My daughter was so excited when she saw “the black girl” lol!
Be sure to bring everything you would bring for a visit to a small water park. Sunscreen, towels, change of clothes, swim diaper.. snacks.
Jin H Mun
Well designed Chigagonian park located between Chicago high rise buildings and Michigan Lake with many famous sites within - the Bean, Crown fountain, Pavilion, etc... Many family oriented events and photo zones to take memory with you.
Dr. Ratna Chaudhary
The Cloud Gate aka The Bean stands all alone during the Covid times . Visits allowed though from a distance. Looks even more beautiful without those crowds swamping it .
Hasan Shaik
When people think Chicago, they think two things: Sears (yes, Sears not Willis) Tower, and the Bean (formally known as Cloud's Gate). This is the place. This is Millennium Park, and it is a beautiful place for a stroll with loved ones. I've been here dozens of times by myself and with people and I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. This time around, the Christmas tree was up and it was beautiful. You cannot visit Chicago or live in it without ever visiting this place. Do yourself a favor and walk around. It's pure bliss, even in the frigid winter air.
Andy Cheng
Great park in the middle of downtown Chicago. Plenty of open fields and activities for your kids and family. Restrooms and portable restrooms are close by, will definitely come back here again. Five out of five stars
Sharon M
Tourist central, in a good way. You'll meet people from almost every contingent here. Great place to take in part of the downtown skyline. The tulips in full bloom are just gorgeous!
snook nitty
Millennium Park is pretty cool!! I was there with my daughter,we walked around and saw the beautiful art. We even went to the art museum... it is a nice place to go with family and friends!
Dave Harrison
We loved it. Lots going on. Check the schedule. Concerts. Art events. Almost every weekend Spring through the Fall. Awesome. Family friendly especially during daylight. Easy parking!
chris meier
The park mall cops weren’t to happy about me bringing my dog to the park. I guess he looks dangerous or something🤷🏽♂️ I was talking pictures and they promptly stopped me and asked me to leave. :( I take him to many parks and never have issues with bribing my dog. I don’t understand. …
Ash Gibson
Very cool park with awesome futuristic Statues and Sculptures, including the famous Chicago Bean, you can take photos from different angles and in different light and it is all so fun and unique, the dome has concerts and lots of things happening in this park, including free wifi.. I loved it and have been twice
Luis Cordero
It's a must visit when in Chicago, great place to take some pictures of your travels, it has The Bean which is an awesome sculpture and it represents the city of Chicago.

Highly overrated and super crowded. The metallic bean was cool.to look at with the skyline reflected. Ice skating available as well as a kiosk for food. Probably wouldn't go again.

I love the Millennium Park . We walked really far . The cloud gate was cool (bean) . I will recommend to park in the Millennium Park Garage, it cost around $13 for 3 hours or less it just depends. Wear sunscreen, a hat , and carry/drink lots of water also wear comfortable shoes because of lots of walking . 🤪 …

Loved this park. Beautiful hang out spot. There's a security check when concerts are on

Stunning park. Pritzker Pavilion is pure fantasy, incredible sight lines to the stage and world class sound system. The lights add so much to the free musical performance. Amazing either day or night. A true gem in our magnificent city of Chicago.

Let me start off by saying that I wasn't in Chicago under pleasant circumstances, but Millennium Park was an unexpected, bright spot. The security guard was very helpful. The Christmas tree was beautiful, and the art was thought-provoking.

This is a great place to visit and walk around when you're visiting Chicago. I've only been there in the winter, when everything is covered in snow, but plenty of people from the area said it's beautiful in the spring and summer, too. There are art displays made from recycled tires, the Cloud Gate (or the bean) - a giant reflective structure that you can walk around and under, fountains, outdoor auditorium, green belts, commemorative displays, bridges, and views of the surrounding city. It's within easy walking distance of shops, hotels, restaurants, and coffee shops. Finding parking can be difficult as it's all on the street, but parking garages aren't that far away. Definitely recommend a stroll through the park if you're in the area.

Cool family park to visit and enjoy some food trucks

One of the landmarks of the city which contains the famous "bean" which is also knows as the 'cloud gate'. Have an outdoor theatre where they have bands and shows. The face fountains are here too. Like will spend approximately 1 hour here, 2 tops.
Ramya Jayathirtha
This is a must visit place in Chicago. Windy, vivacious, full of life. Best place to hangout during summer. You won't get a chance to click pictures alone as there will be lot of people around.

Incredible tourist attraction full of things to see and still a fun place to play. Don't know how good it is for locals, but from what I saw I would bring kids there or have a picnic in the area.
Andrea Ortiz
The iconic park lives up to it's name. Very nice, definitely a must when visiting Chicago. You have everything downtown. We stopped at Giordanos before heading over to the park which was just across the street. Best pizza in town. We walked over to the park and ate it there. The kids loved the water fountain area of it. It was a hot day so they really got to cool down. If you have kids you have to walk on over to the park next door. Hugest playground ever! You can walk over there when going over there super cool looking bridge.

I love Millennium Park. It's a nice outdoor area. It's pretty and lovely in the nice weather. The outdoor theater is big and really nice. It's well-kept and clean and a great place to hang outside for a while.
Ken and Alicia Lund
One of the great urban parks in the United States filled with useful open space, engaging modern art, space for the arts, and some of the best skyline views anywhere in North America. Cloud Gate or "the Bean" and the Crown Fountain are some of the highlights of this modern urban open space.
Tina Xinastle
We enjoyed the two waterfall towers. It was a hot summer day. It was refreshing to cool off in the mist. Some people wore swim wear and got really wet. The children had a blast!
Lori Argil
On vacation from San Antonio, this is a beautiful place to walk, so much to see. Many sculptures to look at and a nice place just to sit and see all your surroundings.

We found a Little Bean!!!! Neat just over crowded with people. Nice view of skate rink on one side and the other side was a concert venue! Overall millennium park is great!

Millennium Park is awesome! You have to stop for pictures here! The views are amazing once you get in the park! There was a jazz festival when we visited too and that was a good experience! Would recommend going here it you are in the area!
Josh Robison
What an amazing adventure this area has to offer. Its such an enjoyable place. The crowds were well spaced and honestly the most polite and courteous people I have encountered in some time. There are plenty of activities and sites to partake and different vendors and food trucks. Everything is in walking distance so bring some comfy shoes and be ready to loosen the belt after getting some delicious local tasty treats.

At first I did not think that this park was going to be exciting, but there was so much going on and to do. From cooling off at the unique fountain, being captivated by "the bean," or enjoying live rehearsals, it was definitely worth the walk.
Nicklause Saints
What a beautiful park in the middle of a big city. It was so green and the trees made the hot humid weather bearable. A lot of opportunities to do fun photos. P.S. The bean was not as big as I had expected.
omelette du fromage
Beautiful setting, thoughtful design, so much to see. The Bean is enough, but there's an amazing amphitheater that is a gigantic stadium sized work of art, a brilliant splash park, worth multiple visits.

This was an absolute treat to go to. I love the living art throughout the park and obviously the bean. Live music create a great atmosphere. Watching the living art change faces and everyone having fun with it was an enjoyable experience.
Gene Plett
Always fun seems safe and clean during the day
Priyanka Rajwar
I went here in summers so the place has a different vibe. There's a music festival going on so the theatre was all set. Couldn't attend the show though.
The bean is really wonderful. Despite the crowd around it, the magnificence of the structure is worth experiencing.
The park is very well maintained. There are good food stalls around, more in the evening in sure. A nice place to visit in Chicago downtown.
Ricardo Ramirez
One of the best city parks I've ever been to. Great for all ages. So much to do and very spacious. Landscaping is outstanding, one of the prettiest parks I've ever seen.
wierdawgg
Had never been before and was on spring break. Seems like a fun place with lots of shops around. I'd go back to ice skate near the bean in the winter, maybe.
Jonathan Reis
Great place to relax after spending the day walking the busy streets. The "bean" is such a neat piece of art. Park also has a really great music venue.
Nick Christo
Best thing about Millennium Park is the Bean. A must see attraction and the park's crown jewel. The rest of the park is also very nice and relaxing to walk through.

Beautiful park, they have events going on all the time. Entry is free, parking available underneath the park but it’s expensive. It’s walkable from most attractions in downtown Chicago.
Karma Lama
Iconic tourist spot in Chicago. Great millennium pillet, famous cloud gate, fountain water and big park. Very close to lake shore walk. Great for family and it is free.
Cedric Neal
Went to the Chicago Blues Festival and it was great. There was a good amount of police presence where it didn't change the atmosphere. Everyone was nice and in a good mood. Music was great. Food was good. Looking forward to next year.
subodh iykkara
Bean is one of the main attraction. Ski spot is available during winter. Free WiFi also available. It's good park for walking and family timing.
Eric Metzger
Needs a little more care to cleanliness. Foliage is very well kept. Great exhibits to walk around and enjoy the art.
Joel Rieck
Absolutely beautiful! Everywhere you turn there is something else to take your breath away. I wish I had all day to explore the park and not just an hour. I've heard excellent things about the museums too.
Reginald Bailey
Awesome experience and this park is very well maintained. The attractions are very nice and the atmosphere in the park truly gives you the Chicago experience! Definitely worth the visit!!

I usually walk thru the area early on the way to work. Its the best time, you can get a lot of photos, less crowds. Definitely go before noon.
Linda Thomas
Beautiful and diverse in its attractions, from just greenery to flowers, open spaces for kids to play, trees for coverage, and of course the Bean and Art Institute. The Buckingham Fountain and Crown Fountain are both beautiful.
Ahmed Kaptan
Beautiful park. And very well kept. Everythink felt clean and tidy
Does get pretty crowded on the weekends so plan accordingly.
It is definitely a must-see spot to visit if your in Chicago
Chad Adkins
This is a must if you are visiting Chicago, anything and everything is right here. The bean is iconic, in the winter both the Christmas tree and the ice skating rink are right next door. Not to mention the large outdoor concert areas, the aquarium and museums, and the football stadium all located at this beautiful park right next to Lake Michigan and surrounded by some of the coolest skyscrapers of the Chicago skyline.
Theressa Morrow
Highly recommend the skating at millennium park. But I reccomend bringing your own skates if you can. We went on 1st and had to wait for an hour to get skates and when we got up there they diddnt have right sizes. But when we went during day on 3rd they had sizes and we only waited about 30 min.
Gary Heidgerken
Millennium Park is a must see! The Bean is a great stop to people watch, snap a selfie, or get some pretty cool reflective pics of the buildings off the Bean. Hop on a bike and enjoy the entire park. The whole area is great for families or date night. A little something for everyone.
Erika
Always a great time for the whole family. Went for the Chicago House Music Fest and had an amazing time. It's a beautiful place with tons of spots to get amazing pics.
David Liu
Wonderful and beautiful views. More different arts architecture. Worth staying for a while. But, we have to catch up air plane, just waked around a shortly time. Maybe next time.
Emily Sandoval
I love walking through this park, especially in the spring when everything is blooming. It's definitely a must-see for tourists... the "Bean" is as cool as it gets. I've taken some pretty amazing photos of the city skyline in front of the Cloud Gate. Highly recommend checking this out if you're in Chi-town!

Famous Chicago landmark! Enjoy beautiful scenery, numerous activities throughout the year, mesmerizing architecture, art and the best people watching. All of this surrounded by the beautiful and dynamic city of Chicago! A must to visit around Christmas holidays...parking like in any large city can be a challenge. A little planning and ingenuity can solve that issue. A place that must be visited while traveling to Chicago.
Jawad
This is one of the coolest attractions in Chicago, I really loved to see the bean and now I can say that “Bean There, Done That” too lol, it’s a great park to hangout with families and children, there is no entrance fee which is really great thing about the park and you also get some really nice view of the streets of downtown from the park
Rosy G
You must see a concert at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. I recently saw 6 time Gammy award winner and 3 time Latin Grammy award winner, Cuban pianist, composer and band leader, Chucho Valdez! I got a seat right in the front and the best part was that it was free! I chose to sit in the seats by the stage but many people prefer the lawn. You are allowed to bring food and beverages of your choice but no smoking. It was a beautiful way to spend an evening in Chicago. For some concerts there is a fee to sit in the seats but the lawn is always free. They also show free movies and offer free yoga classes!
Mariam
Visit to Chicago is incomplete without visiting the Millennium park. Its a beautiful park to spend your day. Love it how the Bean shape reflects the Chicago skyline. We couldn’t go near the bean because of Pandemic.
Gaurav Bhatt
Beautiful place..Millennium Park is a public park located in the Loop community area of Chicago... It has the beautiful cloud gate.. Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by Indian-born British artist Sir Anish Kapoor, that is the centerpiece of AT&T Plaza at Millennium Park

They have the famous bean and Buckingham fountain here. Great place for a stroll and close to all the touristy things about Chicago. Saw the art museum but did not go in. Looks like they were gearing up for the taste of Chicago.
