Reviews of Horner (Henry) Park
Horner park is one of my favorite parks in Chicago. This park is very versatile from sledding on the hill in the winter to enjoying nice sunny walks in the summer. My favorite part about this park is the trail by the river. It is very beautiful and so are the memories I made here.
This is a cool park; it's big and often active, there's a prairie area near the river with a path along it, a dog area, a rec center, and a decent-sized hill you can see the sunset from 🌇 …
Amazing park, dog, kid, and just all around friendly. Recommend it 100%
Has access to the new riverside path / riverwalk that goes from Addison all the way up to Peterson on Legion park and connects to Skokie Sculpture Park, Evanston and beyond ;)
I love the nature trail along the river. It's so beautiful and peaceful. I'm looking forward to the native burial grounds art piece on the southeast corner of the park. There are times that other parts of the park, like the blacktop paths, can get really crowded with strollers, dog walkers, bicycles, and runners, but it really is a lovely park.
Nice place to walk your dog and get some walking workouts! Love the new trail. My favorite park in Chicago.
Nice big field to play a variety of sports and great for dogs. The only problem is that the baseball diamonds haven’t been properly cared for, and they are very hard, kind of like gravel.
Love Horner Park! I take my dog to play at there on a daily basis! He always has a blast, the park is always clean and everyone is there to be nice to each other!
One of the best dog parks in the city starting in the fall when softball season is over. Not referring to the actual dog park, just the open fields.
This park is beautiful. Since I was a baby myself I've been coming here. The best place to bring your kids and have fun.
What a great green space in the great city of Chicago. We went here for a cross country meet and it was fun for all ages. They had a farmers market, a great play ground, basketball courts and bike trails. Check it out. You will not be disappointed.
Such a unique park in the heart of the northside area in Chicago. Very large park which spans quite a few neighborhoods. Perfect for strolls or jogs. I did a photoshoot with my friend and wasn't disappointed with the turn out and scenery. Highly recommend it.
Very nice running trails. Lots of open spaces for picnics and gatherings. Great fields for sports, jungle guns for kids and very nice nature trails by the water
Friendly, clean, beautiful park! This park has it all. Baseball fields, dog park, jogging ramp and more.
A great park with lots of open space, good for running around. Lots of space for tennis, soccer, basketball, baseball etc. A new dog park and pretty some great restored prairie areas. Come here at least three or four times a week.
Really pretty park, far away from the lake. It has a trail with tall grass and flowers that takes out of the city feel. 4 or 5 full baseball fields, 3 or 4 indoor soccer (papi fubol) fields. Great spots for picnics and for pictures!
Nice park! Lots of well behaved off leash puppers :)
Nice diverse park with something to appeal to everyone: basketball courts, riverfront, playground, dog area, bike / walking paths, tennis courts, open grassy areas, divvy station, etc.
The Horner park nature area is a flippin GEM. Literally not-in-Kansas-anymore vibes. Such a beautiful walk.
Horner Park was a nearly perfect stop on a July Summer day. We took our pup to the dog park and had a great time.
Nice atmosphere, greenery, needs places to sit like comfortable good height n size benches not short imbedded or lopsided ones, n where's the food, refreshments n water for dogs, there's no fun at this park not even a sprinkler and the field house and bathroom were closed.
Great park and trails.
If you're interested in taking a walk along a branch of the Chicago River here's a great place to do it. Access at Montrose on west side of the river.
Great, wide open space! Beautiful park for kids to play on the northwest end, and a large dog park (with separate areas for large and small dogs) on the southwest end. The path around it is lovely, as is the river walk area that they are rehabilitating. There’s even a sledding area on the north side!
Huge park, has a dog park a soccer field or hockey and tennis court. A nice trial for bike riding or running. Also has a river trail. My 11y.o. loves to go to feed the wild ducks. Also has a field house for water n snacks n restrooms.
My pup and I come here often. The dog park is large, safe and is clean. He loves to play here
Horner park is an amazing dog park! It is so much space and all the people that come here are very friendly.
Wonderful park near the river! There is so much to do here!
This place is huge. Dog friendly and a dog park. Many baseball diamonds and open fields for all sorts of practice.
Love this park! The little trail along river is scenic and those in touch with nature will appreciate it! Watching the bees, turtles, ducks, bunnies, butterflies live amongst the beautiful wild flowers is awesome. Its amazing how these plants thrive in a relatively urban environment along the river. I am here frequently and have seen a coyote once and a chicken once (I believe it was a domesticated one that got loose but still cool, will post pics 😎) Highly recommend nature loves check it out if they want a mini urban hike.
Easily one of my most cherished parks in Chicago. The nearly mile long loop has become of my favorites to walk my dog. The Nature Trail is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. I wish I could go on it more often as I usually have my dog with me (for fellow dog-owners, please make sure to not use this trail, although I know it is tempting. They have many species of birds that will not nest there if there is dog traffic on the paths).
They are currently in the middle of building a new dog park as well, which I am looking forward to. Aside from that, the massive hill on the North side of the park is one of my favorite spots in the entire neighborhood to sit with my pup, read, picnic, etc. They have basketball courts, a playground, tennis courts (with pickleball markings), baseball fields, and a soccer enclosure. Basically everything you could want in a park. This is a really well cared for park and is so beautiful.
Large local park with basketball and tennis courts, 14 cages to play baseball. Nice mostly progressive people. It now, also have mini courts to play soccer. I asked a young woman how long she'd lived in the area and if she thinks it is a good place to live. She said, she think so. She was very nice, polite and beautiful. I confided to her, i lived there for 31 years and i think, it is a great place to raise a family.
Was happy with the ample parking available right next to the park. Also surprised by the varied landscape - nearer Montrose there is a nice sloping knoll with plenty of space to social distance beneath scattered trees. Horner is a large park with a good paved trail system for running or a stroll. A fun day at the park!
Amazing park so beautiful 🤩 …
Beautiful park, so much space to play sports! So many baseball fields and walk paths. There is also a new soccer court and tennis court! Very spacious and open.
One of the best parks around especially with the river walk addition and dog area. I would say the main attraction from all the years has been the huge hill in the park where people hang out, play soccer, excercise going up and down. The park is decent for playing Pokemon Go.
Great park to walk in. Lots of dogs in the “ bark park.”
Has everything basketball courts and tennis and baseball fields. They have food stands and playgrounds for your kids.
05-08-22 - Finally some warmer weather, time to enjoy the park.
Live nearby, it is always a wonderful place to walk, the paths by the river are really good and a nice diversion from the park, very large and easy to spend an hour walking.
BEST PARK FOR KIDS TO MANY OPTIONS FOR KIDS TO PLAY
It's an enormous piece of land with a bike and walking path. Ive been at several different times of day and it's never too crowded. Lots of different ways to workout or just have a picnic.Nature trail, tennis courts, kids playground. Just an all around fantastic outdoor space.
This park is awesomely BIG. It has just about everything: playground, field house, basketball courts, baseball diamonds, a path that runs parallel to the river with lots of local plants and full of butterflies, a big hill for kids to run on and roll down, and a parking lot. Even a food truck. It's pretty awesome!
Horner Park is a real treasure. The field house and field house staff provide a huge variety of service and activities including arts and woodworking along with the other things You expect from a Chicago park.
The park itself has a lot of natural beauty including being adjacent to the river and having a much more rolling landscape than your average city park. It has at least two significant hills that really add character. The walking track is large and significant enough to keep it interesting rather than feeling like you are a gerbil on a treadmill.
Overall a great city park.
Farmers market is really good ,music, Tacos ,tamales and fresh vegetables and great deserts.
Great park, well kept grounds, amazing dog park, but people should be mindful when setting off fireworks that they don't point them at others when the light them.
The trees provide nice shaded areas along the edge of the circle/hill to lay out picnic blankets or get plenty of sunlight on the hill itself. Clean, with good walking paths.
It's a nice sized park for Chicago. It includes some open fields for recreation, a little wooded area where some stick huts have been made for kids to play around, several baseball fields, some nice walking paths, and a natural prairie area along the river.
The parking lot can get crowded with so much going on. You can find parking in the neighborhood if needed.
It's a huge park, with something for everyone. It has tennis courts, basket ball, baseball diamonds, Foot ball field, playground, great for jogging...The dog park has been under construction for a couple years. It will compliment ask the other amenities once it's completed.
Nice place to take a walk or go for a run. There are two food trucks on site to choose from. Prices are reasonable. The field house has clean restrooms and the park district offers many fun-filled activities throughout the year. Parking is plentiful. Bring a bag of peanuts to feed the squirrels.
Horner Park is very nice and a safe place to go to enjoy all the park has to offer. I parked my car in the parking lot and forgot to put a window up for about 1- 1/2 hours. The car was left untouched. I really appreciated that.
I've been going to this park since I was a little kid. Enjoyed riding my bike down the big hills and around the trails. They recently redid the playground, opened a dog park and have been restoring the ecosystem along the river too. My family came here for long walks when I was on maternity leave last summer with my newest little one. They also will be building the first Native American mound built in who knows how long. My family and I got to take part in the "ground breaking". Its awesome to have these types of activities right in the neighborhood.
Clean park, very open and inviting. Currentlythats is construction on the bridge die of Irving park road.
I took my 4 dogs tho the dog park there. We frequent it a lot. In the early spring time out was a complete mud pit. The park isn't on a slant so all rain drains ought if the park. However-in the summer so far it has been amazing. If there was a hose or water water source close by it would be amazing, but the park is still in phase 1 with continued expansion and upgrades to come in the future.
We tend to walk here to just relax on the grassy hills. There's a wooded path down toward the river, plenty of paved paths. Tennis courts, basketball courts, plenty of dogs around. Only lost a star because after any rain small parts of most paths will be flooded. Really annoying to have to walk through mud (and it's always the same parts of the trails, as evidenced by the well worn puddle avoidance paths)
I come here to walk with my dog. Lovely park. Have not used any facilities, but I've seen a place to play baseball, soccer, basketball, and tennis. There are Divy bike rentals and a child's jungle gym. Glad to have this park close to home.
Beautiful and we'll taken care of the grounds. Just wished had maybe a small nature center or more trails closer to entrance way for those of us with walking issues. Like shorter distance to a small path.
I haven't been into this park for over 10 years. I felt the atmosphere in the park is so much better now, and family oriented. Did not see gathering of teenage kids causing trouble like it did 10 years ago. I had a really good time with the family and watch a couple of little league baseball games with my kids.
The new children's playground is a wonderful space to bring the little energetic kids of all ages. The large, paved loop is great for bicycle riding or a quick jog. It is a great place to spend time with friends and family.
Great walk along the river!
Wonderful park this side of town. It's huge! Dogs, joggers, and sports galore. They recently redid their tennis courts which is a big plus. There's even a large hill past the baseball fields that almost gives the feeling of being in wilderness... But then you hear some car horns or something and you're back in the city. They're also building a new path along the river that looks like it'll be very nice.
It's one of the best parks in Chicago. It has it all including a dog park. I especially love the area around the Chicago river, which has been allowed to resume the natural prairie environment. This park is timeless and we'll loved.
Love this park! It's very nice
grew up around here.. glad they upgraded the tennis courts, and included pickleball courts as well... also can't wait to see the finished dog park! love all the space in this park
Large park. Hills! Sizeable playground! Walking/Biking trails! Fields! Trees! Even a few concession stands North West portion! Adequate parking! A popular park for good reason
Great park with a walk along the Chicago North river
This place is awesome. It is big park. Yoy can ride bicycle or run. It hosts famous Turkey Trot which my family still fails to win turkey on, but we participate and youngest one is the fiercest runner.
Park has a lot of great programs, Mr Don's music classes, Mrs. Karen ceramics, Erik woodworking workshop.
Good place.
I coach the the 9u cubs, the park has some fun baseball at all ages. The park has anew nature trail , a dog area and a nice bike path. This park is safe and people are friendly. I love Horner park.
Great park for both kids both big and small
This is a great park in any season: lots of room to go for a run or sit down for a picnic when it's warm and quite a few hills to sled when it snows. It has plenty of parking as well.
There's something for everyone there. Park for kids, food stands, basketball courts, tennis courts, nature trail, bike and walking path... You name it! They have the bikes you can rent By the Montrose exit and there are often fun events offered too!
Awesome park! Tons of open space and ball fields. My family was able to play wiffle ball and fly kites for hours without bothering anyone. Will return soon!
One of the bigger parks on the Northside. There is tons of open space with a dog park, baseball fields, a hill for sledding, a track that runs around the whole park. There is a very decent sized parking lot that accomadate several hundred cars. There are concession stands that have plenty of food options and a very small field house with bathrooms by the parking lot. The park gets very busy on weekends especially in the summer.
A nice park along the north Chicago river.
I like talking long walks at this park, enough parking space and I just love sitting by the benches and enjoy a breezy afternoon. They have sufficient parking space, playground for kids, tennis court and some other stuff you can do. Also it’s a well maintained park
We had a great time, but kids were disappointed that at 12:30-1pm it was too late for petting zoo and pony rides. They enjoyed the face painting and pumpkin patch though. The band was great! The playground awesome but the bees spoiled it for us a little. A couple of stings. Lots of parking but the speed bumps are humungus. Be careful.
As far as dog parks go this is one of the tops but you still have people who don't pick up after their pets. Walking around the park is a good long trek and definitely worth it! A lot of sports and activities in the summer for the kids to get involved in and a great environment overall! Staff can be a little strict about leashing but they mean well for everyone!
I love it.... It was big and clean. I has a nice nature walk by a river
One of my favorite parks in the city. It's great for a fun family day. Good for having picnics, exercising or playing sports. The only downside is that the restrooms are not always open.
Visted the new dog park on the south end of the park... It is the biggest running area of any of the nearby dog parks.... Still need to developed it more.... But great location.... Great amount of shade and great amount of fenced in area... There is no seating... So bring your own chair and water for the dogs....
They have good programs. Tennis court. Baseball field, playground, gym, swimming pool and more
They have many programs to choose from! And...A large indoor gym, small workout room, shower room (a handicap shower room even), an indoor basketball court, shop room (for wood chopping), an outdoor garden, a giant grass hill, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and an extended bike trail and extended outdoor gardens that are new. You can also take the "hiking trail" around the park made of woodchips overlooking the lake! This place is HUGE and has pretty much everything minus a pool. You could always go a few blocks down and travel to Welles Park for that :)
Live near here and it's a great outdoor space to walk, run, bring the kids and picnic. However there are some people who seem to love in the park by the south west corner but they never bother any one and seem to be rather friendly. I wish there was something more than mostly sports field, though.
This is a great place to be! From the Farmers market in the summer, to sports played at all times of the day. This is a peaceful yet active and thriving space for all ages. You would think that in a place as large as Chicago they wouldn't have so many vibrant green places. This is a place to thoroughly enjoy.
Pretty big park on the northwest side of the city. I run through here regularly and have for years. There are a lot of walking paths and a lot of other amenities. There are several softball diamonds, tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground that was recently overhauled, and a couple food vendors. I've never been inside the fieldhouse. There are also picnic areas and lots of trees. I hope they open up the nature area by the river soon.
Good all purpose park in Chicago. Well maintained, great running routed, both trail and pavement. 1 mile loop. Lots of fields for baseball, football and soccer. New nature preserve on the south and east sides of the park and new dog park on the south West corner. Food and restrooms too. Basketball, field soccer and tennis courts, all just redone.
One of my favorite parks in Chicago. It's a massive park, with multiple baseball fields, a field house with classes for kids/adults, a huge 1.5 mile outer loop/track, and even a wildlife prairie area. This park would be excellent for flying kites, and has a fun playground for kids. You COULD sled here in the winter because of the small hill, but it will be work. Visit, relax, enjoy!
Live nearby. Access to running path, tennis courts, and basketball courts. Most tennis courts have decent nets but they don't take them down in the winter which causes some damage. Not too hard to find an open court though. Basketball courts are usually pretty busy with pick up games. Some talented players can be seen here in the warmer months. Overall great park! Huge!
Highly visible paths and circular shape make this park the perfect place to go for a jog. During the warmer months, huge and vibrant family cookouts are the heart beat of this place. And when the snow falls, the mid sized hill is perfect for sledding Only a short walk to the shops and coffee houses in Lincoln Square.
The river bank of this park has undergone an incredible transformation from fenced-in dense trees and invasive shrubs to colorful prairie plants that attract hundreds of butterflies and bees.
One of the few non-lakefront parks to be bordered by three major streets (Montrose, California and Irving Park), it's also one of the largest bordering the north branch of the Chicago River and the redo of that aspect of the park now takes full advantage of that fact. This is where got taken a few times as a kid for the playground and band practice, so I have fond memories of the place from both childhood and my adult years.
Biggest dog park I've seen in the city with about 2/3 of a football field of running space for the canines. Also has great running space, small wildlife walk, a new River Walk going in, playground and field house.
Horner Park is beautiful! During warm months, you will see parents and their children playing at the park, people jogging, and dog walking. It is peaceful and most importantly, very diverse. I love this park.
Enjoyed a few Cross Country meets here w/ the kids. Good times!
Nice large park. Good escape into a bit of nature but also a lot of recreational amenities like the dog park, baseball field, tennis courts, and playground.
Great being on the field again, but they need a clearer path that goes to the 2 inner fields next to each other near the river. Walking from parking lot straight line to fields. Also to guide people so that their out of the way of hit balls.
Tons of fun and educational programs for kids and pets and folks in the Ravenswood Manor Neighborhood. It has a good view of the River with updates on the progress of the Park itself with regards to being Pet Friendly too.
The season of the Farmers Market is great! Its flair and fares are quite remarkable.
Great time, beautiful park.excellent ice cream. At the Mexican food truck.
Nice park nestled against the north branch of the river; Ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, walking /running /biking track, and a new playground. Not to mention the spacious park house that hosts lots of events. Top notch option in the city!
Love visiting this park. Ever since I was a kid thet had a huge rocket like slide theme. Wow still to this day would be the spot for our picnic. I bring family n friends here to enjoy an outing.
I live close by this park and go here often for a run. It's clean and well maintained, with a decent 1-mile loop. There is a smaller loop too, so if you feel like slacking off on your run, this comes as a good excuse :)
The park is frequently busy with walkers, runners, and people on their bikes, but never too crowded. There's a baseball field with kids baseball teams in the Summer and football in the Fall. It has a small taco/condiments stand in this part of the park, but not sure how the food is, since I've never eaten there.
There are also tennis courts and basketball courts.
The bridge over Chicago river is steps away from the park and it offers beautiful river views.
Great park in a super nice neighborhood.
Have started playing pickleball at Horner Park. This is a very popular location for tennis and pickleball. There are several courts and lights if you want to play at night time. Convenient location to play for anyone on the Northside of the city.
Very large park clean and has 7 baseball fields tennis court small soccer court basketball court playground and a lot of space for football or soccer love it here
This is one of the few parks that are in the middle of the north side that resembles the parks on the lake front. It's huge and long and it is on the north branch of the river and the city dumped a bunch of money into the river side but I don't think people are allowed down by the river?? Oh well the park is on of the cities best
Nice park. They just added a nature walk by the river which is pretty cool. There are often homeless people there, but they have yet to give me problems over my frequent visits.
Beautiful place ! To get fun !
God, I love my vices
This has to be one of the largest parks in Chicago. Dog park, basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, children's play area, nature trail along the river, recreation building, farmers market during the warmer months.
Awesome park on the northwest side. Very big and has a parking lot. Very convenient for dog owners. Most people let there dog off leash in the middle of the field. Large dog groups in the mornings.
Great park for running. The figure 8 is almost exactly a mile. They have a nice park and lots of space to play with your dogs or just hang out.
It's a nice park. They did some upgrading the last few years. There is a dog park and a Riverwalk
Park is very clean and many things for kids to do
Great family park. It would be the best if dog owners would pick up their dog waste and keep their dogs leashed. Joggers and kids beware...loose dogs and poop everywhere. The dog owners are pretty arrogant and I have a dog and don't understand the militant attitudes. Police will not ticket them either - I tried. Their dogs will chase you and they all think they're the Dog Whisperer.
Love this park. So clean and nice.
It has soft/base ball diamonds. Plus there is plenty of space for all. With a small food stand that if you catch at the right time you can get some goodies.
Great place for cycling, jogging, walking your dogs, meditating, playing on the playground, picnics, there are also tennis courts, basketball courts and several baseball diamonds with a strong softball tournament in the summer. Also associated with the Horner Park Summer Concert Series and Theatre-Hikes performs 3 times a year here.
Changed for the better since I grew up playing little league baseball. And great food stand hot dogs 👍👍👍 …
Love this park it's family favorite it has large park area, open field, tennis court, basketball area and jogging area.Very well kept and clean also there is parking lot for guest at the park which is big plus in the city!!They host baseball and football games here too!
Absolutely love this place! The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. Always very clean and awesome classes for all ages available. Fall-Spring this is like a second home for myself and three young children. Love it.
Nice big park, parking lot needs some work done. Went to watch a baseball game, didn't see anything other than the baseball diamonds.
All of my grandchildren (10, 8, 4) like Horner. Besides the usual playground equipment it has lots of climbing webs and space for running. Only drawback for a grandparent with toddler children is that the play area is not fully fenced in. Can be a challenge if a little one starts running away.
Lots of space and shady trees. A playground, tennis course and bike trail. It's a nice place to take your dog and grab a snack at the vendor near the parking lot. Chicago parks are where it's at :)
Great place to visit, professional land friendly staff, clean facilities, nice playground, no pool or splash pad, but plenty of benches, small food stand, walking or running path... Enjoy
Park holds Farmers markets during the summer on saturdays. Has Indoor as well as outdoor activities to do, on your own or with your family. Can plan parties here if you wish to grill.
Big, open. There's tons of space to do different outdoor activities: basketball, tennis, baseball, running, walking... You can just go for a walk or sit down on the hill while reading a book.
As far as Chicago parks go, this one is great! Spacious and typically very busy. If only folks kept their dogs on leashes and put their trash into the cans...
Back in the 90s Homer was considered one of the most dangerous parks in chicago, but today it's the park has done a 180 and is fantastic place to spend your weekends in. Also they have special events like live performances and farmers markets.
Great to visit the farmer's market on Saturday and listen to music and shop for fresh veggies and treats!! Meanwhile yoga in the park is taking place just next door. Great for the family!!
A large, public park featuring a recently renovated riverfront, a fenced-in dog park, 2 futsal courtsn and all the other facilities you would expect. The fieldhouse even has a woodshop!
Great place for kids, lots of open lawn and big trees for hammocks. Also a small trail for joggers and the like. Trails can throw curve balls with disrepair however.
The park is very big! Great if you want to walk around the area. I wouldn’t go at night, it’s really dark there and looks like something creepy can happen there
Great park, good atmosphere, friendly faces. Was there during early am. Field house is open with friendly staff. Wasn't happy I stepped in pooh though!
Great place lot off fun activities.
It's a big park and great for walks or if you have kids. They recently renovated the playground area and there's a sling line which I really do not recommend for younger kids.
This place was great for my daughter and puppy. They both had fun playing in the green spaces and offers a lot of shaded areas.
I sometimes run here early and it’s nicely socially distracted. I can’t attest to the capacity of the park after 7am but otherwise it is nice.
Beautiful park. Great for kids. Plenty of space for dogs. Running track that is EXACTLY 1 mile... Which is great for training.
Great park and new trails to walk through there
Family park , options for baseball, futsal style soccer(brand new) , doggy park, paths , picnic areas, childrens playground... great park overall, very safe and food available at food stands
Love the Saturday morning Farmer's market! Right along Montrose. Great produce but also baked goods! It is going to be a frequent stop for me on the way to meeting up with friends & have treats to share. ;)
Dog Park is great. A little torn up with the weather but it's not concrete like all the other parks so worth a little muddy clean up after playtime.
One of my favorite parks in the city! A bit better drainage is needed around the path on the east side of the park.
Nice clean Place to enjoy a walk. Activities for everyone ( basketball court, tennis court, baseball diamonds, park with equipment for the little ones)
Love everything about this place. The new riverfront prairie is a delight to spend time in, and the loop around the park is exactly 1 mile- perfect for runners.
I've been here a few times... I was at Horner Park for a Filipinx piknik. I've also been here to play basketball late at night, once when it was cold outside.
Fun place. The play ground has a zip line and really fun play equipment. The staff is awesome for park activities.
Great dog park, awesome playing fields, food/snack shack. This is the place to be!
There's a lot of space, big dog park, grass is mostly clean. Watch out for broken glass by the trails though.
This park was absolutely magnificent I have never seen a birch tree quite like the one that I seen at the Warner Park also the birds there are two spectacular I'm pretty sure I seen a few rainbow Flags not sure what that represents though can somebody tell me I've seen them a lot also do you believe saifi sign to tell me what they believe
Great tennis courts with Lights.
This is one of the better parks in Chicago. Has a large dog park that will be awesome once phase 2 is funded. The city should pay for it.
This is a great place to spend the weekend with family. The park itself is huge and always clean, there are always families there spending the afternoon. Truly an awesome place to be.
Great dog run. It's big enough for dogs to really run around but don't go when the ground is wet as it can get very muddy
Spent my childhood at this park it was a wonderful place back in the 80s. Now the whole park is fenced in so I really couldn’t tell you how
It is now.
Great place for walking n running. Has a great gym n basketball court. I use this place often.as a senior i get in free.
Park is nice for running but tennis courts could use some work. Great for hanging out as well tho.
I've been here a couple of times... I was at Horner Park for a Filipinx piknik. I've likewise been here to play b-ball late around evening time, when it was cold outside.
I love to walk in Horner Park is very relaxing not around with so many people even though I still wear my mask to be safe
Large park with play ground, trails, field house, tennis and basketball courts, riverfront natural lands and central hill for seasonal activities.

Lovely Park with nature walk, dog park, and all your standard sport and child offerings
Love this park- plenty of space and paths to walk, bike, run, stroll, picnic, play!
Large park for activities. Stay far away from others for social distancing or just because you don't like people! They will never know the real reason.
Very nice larger park, has baseball field, the Chicago river is at the edge, great for children and dogs
It's a safe park to do walking and as I like to do watch all of the beautiful pooches play in the dog park😊😊 …
Everyone at this park was very mindful of distancing from each other. Very fun trails for the kiddos
Clean, and not crowded. Children play well together , and the families are friendly
Good day !
Great park with a nice hill for sledding in winter and kite flying in summer. Park district is good and playground is very nice.
Nice park. Will be better when finished. Most dog owners that go are friendly
The park is great but too many owners let their dogs off leash
There was a pigeon convention there or something when I went past it
Took Lola to the park play ball with her exercise
Great park for a few miles run, basketball courts , playground for the kids.
How many parks have a functional woodshop in the basement of their fieldhouse? Ok but Horner had Mr Eric the best shop teacher in Chicago.
I have been going here since I was a child. The only thing I do t like is dogs running on the hill and some owners are not watchful and one was charging my daughter and we called out and the owner got to her dog first. There are signs stating they must be leashed. I don't mind d in certain areas.
Very good Park ..
