Reviews of FE Warren FamCamp
Not what we expected for a Military FamCamp. Sites are close and unkept, many of the trees need to be trimmed to allow for rigs to utilize the campsite within having to pull to one side of the site. There is no directions on what way to use sites so you can have a “buddy” site right out your door whether you want it or not.
Office is not manned on the weekends and preferred way they want to communicate after hours is thru FB. Office does have ice machine and washers and dryers at a reasonable price. FHU for $35 Good for just a night or two.
Great staff! Bathrooms were clean! Grounds are clean! Lots of space to walk!
Stayed here one night on our trip across the country.
Pros:
-super cheap
-awesome bathrooms with showers
-quiet (we tent camped and had no neighbors anywhere around, plus it just was quiet overall)
-laundry facilities (around $2 each to wash and dry, coin only)
-free ice
Cons:
-hoards of mosquitoes (mid June)
-no campfires allowed
-watch out for holes from ground squirrels in the grass
-train runs RIGHT next to the camp. Like less than 100 yards. And it comes by in the middle of the night, horn blasting.
Not our favorite campsite, but the fact that it was cheap and quiet makes it a place we would consider staying again.
Nice little RV park. Friendly office personnel. Well kept, a lot of elk/fawn running around...
An alright place, the staff are not horrible, but they are not the best. When we checked in, the staff were at lunch, so we went to our slot and someone was in it.
They said that there was a sewage problem and put us in a slot next to ours. (We had no idea)
The commissary was big, and I had a pleasant time at this FamCamp!
I am here in the winter. $10.00 a day for winter rates. Electric only the water turn off and sewer closed off. I have been getting propane from Murdoch's farm store. They were the cheapest and they give 5% dicount for military. You just never know what the weather going to be this time of the year. I was here 5 to 10 year ago. It was great in April
Nice, quiet FamCamp. It is right in Cheyenne and close to a lot of things to do.
This has never been a top famcamp, but it is getting worse. A lack of maintenance is very evident. The entire base needs a lot of attention.
Beautiful campground! Make sure to avoid the railroad tunnels if your rig is on the tall side. We really enjoyed our time here. The base is gorgeous, the campground is set apart from everything with some trails and grassy areas throughout for pets to enjoy. Full hookups for a great price!
We spent two nights on the way across the country. There was no water as it was turned off for the winter. But the facilities and laundry were up and running and we had a full water tank so it worked out. The base is very large with some excellent old residential quarters. The BX gas station has diesel and the commissary and exchange are located next to each other and very convenient if on the small side. We had to go to Fall Hall to check in and it was $10 per night because of not having water.
Excellent place.
