We enjoyed our time here! Such a clean beach for being close to the city! Went for a quick swim and sun bathed. Very relaxing, there is tons of grass areas should you want to picnic! There is a bar right on the beach, and kayak and paddle rental. It can be a fun place to spend the day!

Nice relaxing beach. Shallow all the way out about 200'. Great spot for kids. Beach concessions have a good assortment of food and adult drinks to go! Can't wait to come back

Crazy beautiful view. We came in August and the water was the perfect temperature- cold and refreshing but not too cold. There’s a small restaurant that’s pretty basic and some picnic tables. There’s a lot of “stuff” in the sand- and when we were laying down I felt like it kind of smelled… Not sure if that was the lake or what? Overall a great park and beach.

Fabulous beach. Huge parking ($8 now) and lots of bike access. Grassy shaded areas to park your towel as well as sunny sand. Clean bathrooms. There's a little restaurant as well as window ordering for creemees and hamburgers/chicken fingers/fries. Beach is fairly deep, shallow, and very long so even when it's more crowded there's lots of space. Life guards on duty and they enforce an area free of boats, jet skis, and larger floats. Feel so lucky to be able to load up the car for a long beach day or hop on bike for a little swim n drinks.

Beautiful sand beach! We will be back every year. The guy at the entrance was very friendly. BTW it’s NOT close at 6:00 pm. It closes after 9:00 pm.

Beautiful beach for swimming in shallow waters (hip deep) or sunbathing. Right off the bike path. If entering with a car and you're out of state, pay $10 at the entrance.

This is a great beach. I hadn't really been to the beaches on Lake Champlain and we kind of chose this one at random but it was a good choice. Decent restrooms/changing areas, snack bar and plenty of space to relax as well as swim.

We have been on this lake for 5 days and seen many different parks and beaches. All of which we were not able to swim in. This beach has everything. Clean water, waves, soft clean sand, life guards, easy parking, shade and of course sun. It even has a restaurant with cocktails and a full menu right on the water. Cant wait to revisit.

Clean, family friendly with picnic/grill areas and a playground. Convenient snack shop and beach bar serving cocktails and quick bites. Bathroom and showers centrally located. Designated areas for campers/RV's. $6 for residents and $8 for non-residents. Local company on beach for kayak and paddle board rentals which of course we had to do. Looking forward to the next trip!

This is certainly a destination when you come to Burlington. You can pay a non resident fee of $8 if you drive or you can rent a bike and enter for free. There is a kayak and paddle board company that sets up in the northern part of the park. The park offers trailer style camping as well. The concession staff needs some more help and a better system to work with; they are hard working but could use some more help- many customers seemed agitated on a busy Saturday. The beach is life guarded which is a plus...the rules are a bit more lax than we are used to at our local beach. There is a playground and some barbecues available for use as well. Camp here from NY at least 1x a year. We love it here!! Great access to the bike bath, lake Champlain, and the showers are clean warm and strong water pressure. Not far from downtown and the sites are comfortable. We really appreciate this gem!

I actually loved my time here although many locals tell me not to go here. You do have to pay for parking $8 for the day. The beach is very big and long, the water shallow and good clarity. It definitely had more of a college chick/bro vibe. Young kids playing beer pong and stuff like that. But the amenities are great! There's a restaurant to have lunch (I haven't tried it but it puts my mind at ease to know I can grab from or even a water in an emergency). Large mostly clean bathrooms. A large area devoted to playgrounds for little and big kids. My daughter had a blast here and took time to play on the slides and in the water. I could see if becoming overcrowded or just a giant college party so I think we got lucky. Pick your day of visit with that in mind and you should be fine!

Very nice beach easily accessible by bike from the Burlington bike path or driving (note: parking prices may vary for July 3 & 4, was $12 for out-of state and not the posted $10). Water and beach are very clean. Lifeguards are very attentive and friendly. Lots of shaded areas in the grass portion of the park for those that prefer not to sit in the sun and sand. The right side of the beach was a lot more populated and loud when we went compared to the left side of the beach. There are kayak and paddleboard rentals available, too.

Very shallow, so water is warm. Sand all the way out. Lots of trees and grassy park to sit /lay down in, rest rooms, changing rooms, foot showers, and a restaurant /bar. Pavilion with bbq grill. Trails from the north end of the beach to explore. Easily accessible from the rail trail. Wasn't very crowded, even on a hot summer weekend. Plenty of parking, $10/day paid at the campground but free if you bike in on the rail trail.

Lots of people, very shallow water, your baby won't drown. No good parking as there's an associated campground, but parking and walking in is okay. Maybe cyanobacteria, check the levels

It's a nice Beach with all the amenities that you would need including food and drink. Not very clean though and get super busy in the summer. Braids with the two of us, families and college kids. At times during the summary the water will be closed because of algae blooms. The sand can be Rocky and full of trash but for the most part it is pretty decent and a good place to spend a hot summer day. You can even rent Kayaks and paddleboards there. Some people will park their boats and come into the beach and hang out today because you can put your boat's not too far from the shore.

The Burlington bike path is 10 mi of beauty interrupted by a half a mile of Burlington proper. Absolutely one of Burlington's crown jewels. There is access to several beaches along the path. North Beach Park has a wonderful small RV park across the other side of the path.

Great little beach that sits pretty much right in town! The only downside are the weeds and such floating in the water and becoming tangled in your feet! Lol But I guess that's the trade off for being able to cool off on a miserably hot day. It's a pretty cool area. They have a place where you can buy alcoholic beverages and you can B.Y.O. (No glass containers though, common sense would tell you why). There is also a volleyball net, (however, not sure if you would have to bring your own volleyball or if it is provided??) Go check it out for yourself!! Very inexpensive to enter as well.

This was a small beach on the lake. It had a restaurant on the beach and the Sand was pretty clean but the water was kind of dirty. It has very high sand dunes so can you go far without getting deep. There was absolutely no waves to jump. This is also a camping area and you must pay a fee to get in. There's also outside showers

Burlington was ok, but nothing special, the North beach however saved the day. Very clean, great for kids as it is quite shallow, overall a great day in the sun.

It's a wonderful beach, friendly for kids and adults alike. The water is kitty pool depth for a long stretch into the lake. The background is incredible with mountains on the other side of the lake. The bathhouse is excellent for whatever need you have...it has a changing table for kids and nice changing stalls. There are pavilions, grills, and a snack bar too with an alcoholic portion of that set to the side. This is one of the nicest beaches I've been too in my life, no exaggeration.

I've never been here before but I have read over 100 reviews and it seems like a nice place for me and my family to visit and the rules are very simple!

This is a very nice State Park that features a campground on the premises for both tents and rvs. It also has a very nice Beach by lake Champlain, that also has a snack shack and a patio with food and drinks available for both take out and sit down service. There's also a nice kids playground and plenty of barbecue grills and picnic tables. It's a great place to come with the family and hang out or camp in their campground. The campground has bathrooms and showers which are average in cleanliness. They also have some side to the electric and water hookup. They have additionally a few with full hookups for RVs. There are also a few tent camping sites scattered throughout.

Very nice place to hang out,just no glass or smoking allowed on beach. Consesesion stand,grills, restroom,parking was 6 dollars for a car,and yeah they have volleyball court and plenty of room for other games.

I camped here for a night. The campsites are right by the Burlington Bike Path and the North Beach. The park seems well kept, though very popular (crowded). Staff were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms/showers available, as well as paddleboard and kayak rentals. The campsites are very close together and many campers tended to spread out into neighboring spaces and the road. Overall good experience

Stunning beach, ideal for kids of all ages. The sand goes into the water very gradually creating endless opportunities for young kids to play. It was super clean, with a large parking area, a beautiful playground and clean bathrooms. It's $10/car, but worth every penny

I loved just sitting in my vehicle and watching everyone having a good time with their kids at the beach. I'm severely disabled and it didn't cost me any money for me to enjoy the North Beach Park, and it saved me a $6.00 Entrance Fee. I would like to suggest that Burlington Park's And Recreation Department too install a Donation Box (Not Under Pressure) for people like myself. I didn't have the $6.00 Entrance Fee,, but I did have a couple of Dollars that I would have donated for their great upkeep of our beautiful beaches and using some of the donated money for people who aren't able to cover their fees.

Great beach, delicious drinks and yummy snacks! I have visited this beach 5+ times this summer and it's definitely one of my favorites in the area! Beautiful sandy beaches with a great swimming area, bathrooms and snack bar. The Painkiller cocktail is DELICIOUS! Coconut shrimp is another favorite! Family friendly but also a great beach to visit solo or with friends, highly recommended!!

RV park located just a stone's throw away from 30 mile bike path that wraps around the lake and a truly beautiful beach with post card like views. Free to walk in. Water in July was super warm. Beach sand is soft with only a few spots that show a bit of gravel. Water is quite shallow anywhere near shore making it kid friendly swimming. 3-5 Lifeguards on duty. Select food and drink available at small concessions area. Alcohol served in small but pleasant tiki patio. Just minutes to downtown Burlington with all of its charm. Many shops and restaurants to visit. This place is a hidden gem. It's not crowded. We are going to return soon!

I traveled for 3 hours to get here and it was 100% worth it. Parking is only $6. The beach is very spacious and long. The lake itself is gorgeous, huge. There's plenty of space to swim and play in the water. There's a small place to eat by the beach, they have pizza, burgers, ice cream and much more. Just bring sandals for the sand because it burns. After a whole day in the beach, everyone should go to Church St marketplace in Burlington.

Kayaking (rentals) in the light waves was an experience and not that hard. Great beach with relatively shallow for long distances. Less than a foot for a while 5 or so feet deep at max. Awesome picnic areas. Clean changing and bath rooms...outdoor showers and decent snack shack.

Great place for a warm day to relax. Good mix of sand and grass areas near water. Lifeguards, food, drinks, and standard beach bathrooms all as expected. Only complaint would be the line to get in with car. Should have more than one person at gate.

Burlington is a really nice place. It has a special vibe that differs from other cities in the North East. NBP seems to be a popular spot to visit. People can rent kayaks and there are other small facilities too.

Entering the park you see camping sites for RV and one for drive in's. Entrance fee is not too bad. Once you are at the beach you will be amazed at the mountain scene with the lake's expanse. The beach itself is organized, maintaned and relatively clean, more than any typical beach. My kids enjoyed that there were paddle boarding and canoe rentals. There are pavillions and grills and you will find restrooms and rinse showers. The beach itself it not the fine grain sand in ocean beaches but its not rocky or muddy compared to other lake or river beaches. My little daughter loved the collection of sandstone and igneous rocks that was available.

Easy to get to. Looks like a popular camping spot. Lots of RVs. Parking very close to the beach, and the bike/running paths. Has pavilions for gatherings and plenty of trees if you want to hang near the water but in some shade. It's August right now and the water is wonderful and warm. Bike rentals right near the parking lot and just south of here on the bike path is a great skatepark. Parking is relatively cheap.

Nice beach, with a section for dogs. Beach house, life guards, hibachis and picnic areas. The water is only a couple feet deep for about 40 yards out. The beach sand is a little gravelly in most areas but nice and soft in the water.

This was truly one if not the best beaches I have every been on in my entire life. Water is cold but the environment and hospitality is warm. Picturesque, clean and Family oriented, looks like a Pirate's Cove. We celebrated my grandsons graduation with bbq on the beach no hastles for tables, chair or grill pits. A must see!

Gorgeous park on Lake Champlain close to downtown Burlington. Pretty beach with Adirondack and Camel's Hump mtn views. Lovely for swimming and wading. Good sized playground. Amenities could be improved: Restrooms and snack bar open summer only (currently there are some portapotties available). Accessible directly from bike path-- bike right in! Sometimes attracts a rowdy party crowd in hot weather-- alcohol is allowed here. Some issues with unleashed dogs as well. But overall, a lovely park worth many visits.

Very nice and well maintained. We didn't have any trouble with all the college students that were there having a good time but it something you may have to consider if you take really little ones. Everyone there was very well behaved and respectful, just heads up.

Visited here for a quick pop off the bike path for a swim. The beach was nicely maintained and the grounds were clean as well. A nice pavilion to get away from the sun and eat lunch is right on the beach as well.

Large Beach area, large and safe playground, covered and uncovered grills and the covered space can be rented for parties. There are bathrooms and a snack bar. Very relaxed, come as you are, friends and family type atmosphere. There is also a campground located across the bike path...tents, RVs, about $40/night with tent.x

It was a beautiful afternoon at North Beach on Sunday, August 19. It was sunny, 79 degrees, the water was about 75 degrees and was very clear. They have an outside restaurant with quite a selection of food items including creemees. This restaurant even serves alcoholic beverages, which must be consumed in the outside restaurant area and cannot be taken directly onto the beach. Restrooms were relatively clean and had TP and soap to wash your hands. Great day!

It's a co-op family bbq park and beach with a nifty bar to get some snacks. It can be super crowded and busy, and you need to walk out quite the ways to get some good swimming in. Night time can be magical with little beach fires

This place is perfect for spending a weekend or even a day with your family or friends. The beach and the water is very clean, there are enough lifeguards for all the people, the restaurant serves good food and ice cream, and there is a little park for children. The cons are that the washrooms could be cleaner (the men's bathroom floor was full of piss), there could be more picnic table since there is a lot people and there is only 6-7 tables for everyone. The security could be better too since I had an encounter with a drunk man that was stealing my food and camping chairs... I had to call the police. The city center of Burlington (Church St.) is located very near the beach, only 5 mins of car. The possibility to sleep in the camping next to the beach is very pleasant too.

This is a great campsite in the heard of Burlington. It's only a short bike ride or a bit longer ride to downtown. The beach is clean and busy on a very hot day. Dogs are permitted only on a short section of the beach, but the extra walk for them to be able to play in the water is worth it.

Superb park, has everything you could want in an outdoor experience. The water does not get too warm in Vt, but you can't complain about that. Clean facilities and a nice snack bar. Bring your sand umbrella.

Twas nice. Lake (North Beach) was very clean and it's not very crowded. However, the park itself doesn't have much shade in certain areas. Overall it was amazing :)

It's probably the closest you'll get to a real beach in Burlington. It's a lot smaller so all the good and BAD that come along with a beach are condensed. But if you go at the right time and/or day or have a pair of earbuds to block out the world, it's nice.

Your speech is a very nice speech and very large and Sandy. I would give it a 5-star rating but they have been having problems with sewer overflowing resulting in Beach closures and also they have a problem with algae blooms which also results in Beach closings
