Really like Battery Park. I'd give it 5 stars if it had adequate parking and free would be a nice bonus! The views are great and bike path nearby. They do hold free concerts in the summer and the food trucks are a bonus. Waterfront area is a great place to walk around, dine, and shop. It may not be inexpensive, but Battery Park is free. Echo Center, Boathouse, Ferry, and the Train station are just below a block away. Great for the whole family!

Paired with lunch at the Skinny Pancake, this playground stop provides for a good expansion of kid-energy for those on the New York to Montreal trek with little travellers. Perfectly safe as it is right next to the Burlington Police Station, it also provides high-above, panoramic views of Champlain. A merry-go-round plus multiple slides, swings, and climbing apparatuses for pre-toddlers right through the pre-teens.

We love to take our son here when we visit Burlington. It's a great spot for a picnic or just to hang out and watch the sunset. The playground area is great for kids and in our experience people are very friendly in this area!

It has an incredible view and a wonderful playground for kids, some picnic tables, and a nice music stage right beside it. However, at the moment that I'm writing this review, there are protesters camping out in the main grass area of this park. Therefore, it's not as pleasant or spacious like normal, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Pretty nice park. Great overlook view of the waterfront and a peaceful place to just sit and have a picnic or listen to music. Can often smell pot smoke here, if you're into that. Not much in the way of statuary, but the giant carved Native American head is beautiful and has been there as long as I've been alive.

One of my favorite parks in town. Breathtaking views of the lake and Adirondacks. It's very safe and spacious with plenty of parking. The park will sometimes host free concerts, shows, movies, and activities. There is also some right history connected to the park. One of Burlington's staples.

Beautiful park with a great view of lake Champlain. Features several military memorials and historic commemorative plaques. Also has a fountain, garden, playground and amphitheatre. Public events hosted year round. Don't miss the food truck nearby as well. Great place to take a moment and enjoy a sunset.

This was a nice park. It overlooks Champlain from a higher altitude than by the waterfront parks where most people go. I thought his park was very peaceful because of that. They also have a stage space where music can be played. This park is a little out of the way but it's not a far walk and it's well worth it!

The view is awesome and there are lots of benches, however there are definite downsides: there's this odd road running through it which breaks up the green space unnecessarily, it's bordered on two sides by busy roads, and sometimes the patrons can be a bit intimidating. The last two times i visited the park, the lake side walkway was blocked by groups of young adults drinking and being a little rowdy. We had to walk off the paved path to get by. I guess we could have said excuse me, but you never know if that will be taken as confrontational, especially when there is alcohol involved.

Location is terrific, the view is spectacular. There is a food bus on site, the only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the playground could be bigger!

If you look closely, you'll spot the very obvious statue of an indigenous tribal leader instructing you to look out at an island in the lake. It's a nice view, but my dog wants to eat my shoe.

There are a couple of areas to walk. It’s not the biggest park but it offers some great views of the lake. There are a couple of places for the homeless to hang out so if that bothers you, just know. Otherwise, not too bad.

This park is historic. Beautiful, overlooking Lake Champlain. My family has visited battery park for many generations now. Beansie's bus for some fries and a cold drink during the summer makes this park a must see if you come to Burlington.

Is a really pretty area. My only complaint is that the should be more (usable) bathrooms, especially for large events. When my mom and I were there on Sunday afternoon for Pride Day, there were two port-a-potties in addition to the two single- stall restrooms, but the two port-a-potties were locked with the kind of key lock you ot on lockers.

Battery Park is a great place to get a full, stunning view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. It’s only a few blocks from Church Street (the main pedestrian street in Burlington), so it’s definitely worth a visit!

One of the best parks for families we have found. Directly across from the beach, and there's clean bathrooms with tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball and a small skatepark. It really has everything for a family, and is kept up wonderfully!

It's a park. I'm not sure exactly what you'd be looking for here, but I'll give it my best shot. Look this place has got some great views of the lake. It's got a great snack shake (well actually it's a bus), and there's even a playground for the kids. It also hosts some interesting community events like summer concerts. On the other hand it's often filled to the brim with really shifty folks. When not in use for said summer concerts the amphitheater is normally home to a classy mix of hobos and junkies. So maybe keep an eye out for that.

One of the best places to visit in Burlington. Beautiful views over looking Lake Champlain. Nice grassy area with concerts during the summer. Unfortunately it's become a hangout spot for groups of people who drink FourLoko at 10am. Would be nice if there was more recreation available here. A basketball court maybe?

This is a nice little park a bit off the beaten path in Burlington, but still easy enough to walk to from Church Street. I usually go down near Splash at the Boathouse for the sunset, but this is a beautiful place to catch it from here as well. It's amazing to watch the sun go down behind the mountains and lovely lake. You have to try to see at least one sunset when you are visiting BTV. This park is cute and located not too far from a police station. We also saw some food trucks on the night we visited. There is also a small playground here, plus plenty of field space for kids to run around in. Parking is nearby, but only for 2 hours, but that should be enough time to do what you want here.

Great little park with views. If you plan on driving, paying becomes a bit of a challenge. There's some parking between the police station and the park but other than those ~8 did you need to look for street parking, which is usually available.

Serene lakeside park, with phenomenal view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack mountains. Easily accessible by the bike path, and a short walk from the Church Street Marketplace. Family friendly, with swings and jungle gym. Picnic if you must, but you would be missing out on the Beansies Bus experience, for burgers and dogs, creemies, and the best French fries in Vermont. Come for dinner, and stay for the unparalleled viewing location for a sunset over lake and mountains.

Any season, Battery Park is the crown jewel of Burlington's Parks. Yes, above Waterfront Park. The view from Battery is wonderful--gives us a reason to appreciate New York as a neighbor. Not to mention, the stone wall provides more seats than Waterfront park and you got Beansie's Bus right there.
