very good campsite that’s close to Boise. clean and great swimming in the hotter months, also very dog friendly. can get pretty busy so best to get there early. me and my dog coconut had a very fun time (:

Beautiful spot by the river. One vault toilet with 2 sides for all the campsites that is wheelchair accessible. Camp water pump inoperable the day I visited. Small parking lot near the toilet. Campsites with picnic table and firepit. Can get very crowded. A number of people park and then create their own camps on the river bank. Great place when there are no people. Too many people know about this place and it's too often crowded. Road from Boise to the campsite narrows often to one lane with sharp blind corners and sharp drops off the edge into the reservoir. Expect trucks pulling boats and trailers and people driving fast around blind corners.

Great camping spot quiet and near water only dislike was 20mile drive on gravel road with lots of washboarding and very narrow road

The campsite itself isn't bad but it does get crowded on the weekends. Currently there is a lock on the water pump so bring your own water or a filter. Bring plenty of bug spray and be prepared for hot summer afternoons. Keep the pit toilet lids closed and close the bathroom doors if you use them at night otherwise the bats will get in. Don't forget to take your trash with you. Do all of that and you will have a great time. Don't do that and you will be miserable.

The campground is a great location just off the river! It's a cozy spot with a well kept bathroom and slopes into a small beach for camping tenants. The drive up there is a little dicey since it's a single lane dirt road. It overlooks Arrowrock, which is absolutely beautiful driving up to! We saw a lot of birds so be on the lookout for wildlife in the area! The only downside to this location was the number of mosquitos. For an active and moving part of the river, there was a surprising amount of them. We camped the weekend of July 10th, so it could have just been the right time for them to be out, but bring as much bug spray as you can!

Small but clean, only problem dirt road is dusty

Really nice if you can be there during the off times. Otherwise, people tend to be noisy and it gets really crowded. Too many people moving into the Treasure Valley. Sorry, just telling the truth as I see it. Much nicer 10-15 yrs ago.

I went several years ago but it is a nice place. I will have to check it out again sometime when I get back!

Great free camping by the river. Good for swimming or fishing. Camp spots are nice with fire places and an out house, bring your own TP though. This area has a water spicket but last I went it was broken so bring plenty of water.

Love coming to this campground. Great spot next to the Boise river and mostly clean. Going at the first of the camping season means no bugs too.

Beautiful campground! The campsites were tidy and clean. The surrounding area is incredible for playing and exploring. Will return again!

Been here couple of times and love it. This most recent time, the water pump did not work. Beautiful and serene area.

Camping, swimming, fishing, and Bigfooting all great in this area and at the campground. Caught and saw bass, trout, suckers, and occasionally Kokanee Salmon while fishing or swimming. Bigfoots heard tree knocking from 3 different locations on the surrounding mountain sides at about 2:00 a.m. and heard a rock hit a tree 10 feet from me at about 11:30 p.m.. Both incidents took place in August. Fire rings, picnic tables, fish cleaning table, and restrooms available.

9 campsites, it was pretty quiet considering it was full. Free camping is always a good thing. Pack in your water and take your trash with you, which is not a big deal. We will go back again

The only draw back was the restrooms were very un clean. Overall a great and beautiful place to stay.
