Reviews of Liberty Park
I really liked the Memory wall with all of the Eagle Scout names. The grounds were very maintained. Around the statue is closed off, so you can't get very close. The statue is 1/5 the size of our Lady Liberty, but very beautiful! Not far of the interstate, a must see if passing through. The shop wasn't opened when I went and I was the only person there. Very peaceful and surreal.
Everyone, this is a gem in Alabama! When it comes to Birmingham, everyone would say the Iron Man (the Vulcan). For me, I would say the Statue of Liberty! Although it is only 1/5 the size of the original, what more can you ask for by skipping the crowd and enjoy the statue all to yourself? The best part? It is free!
Pretty place, but if you want to get a front-facing photo, you'll need to hike through some bushes and carefully maneuver the big hill. Also, the gates to get closer to the statue were locked
Great place for a quick visit. Park was built by the Liberty Insurance Company and is co-located with the Boy Scout office.
Beautiful memorial, however I was a little disappointed that it needed a bit of cleaning. We are to honor the brotherhood❣️
If you are in the area and happen to be close by it’s okay to visit.
But don’t waste your time and drive miles out of your way to look for it.
It’s not worth it.
Nice replica, hard to get a good photo because the distance of open area in front of the statue.
What a cool place! The park grounds are beautifully kept, I couldn't get over how nice everything looked! We went to see the statue and enjoyed reading the facts about it. Really nice place, not much of a detour, and beautiful drive.
Since I never plan on going back to New York again this was an awesome experience to see the Statue of Liberty replica
Great place to walk and see the replica of the statue of liberty.
This is likely the closest I'll ever get to the real thing.. It was a pretty cool experience still...
Very fun place to stop and get a photo or two.
Really cool pit stop along the road trip!
Very nice replica in a lovely setting.
I didn't realize this was a boy scouts thing. It's also smaller that I thought. Or perhaps I remember the real statue as bigger. This one is supposedly 1/5. Either way, fun little stop
Cool place to visit especially for an Eagle Scout. Spent around 20ish minutes.
Great place to bring the family
Loved it.
Excellent place in Birmingham
Got here by accident trying to ask the wife to get us to the Vulcan statue, what a fun and funny surprise to see a smaller statue of liberty.
This place is usually well maintained. But, perhaps because of the pandemic, I did not find it that way the other day. The gate was locked to the statue, and the grounds could use some picking up.
Who knew that Alabama had a smaller version of the Statue of Liberty.
Surprisingly good food for such an inexpensive price. Watch your pizza being made. Good local beers. Like a Subway for pizza but with better ingredients and local beer. Staff is average to just above average.
I came here to turn in my eagle scout paperwork. Great people here.
Great place to pull off for a few to stretch the legs and even looked at the camping gear for sale. The memorial wall was quite touching since I too was a boyscout.
I love this place omg my daughter ran up the big moantai.trying to get to the statue and rolled down lol its really pretty
It's neat to drive past and see Lady Liberty with a flaming torch, but one has to ask, what's the point of it being here? Not worth stopping by. Vulcan is by far the more worthwhile visit, at least he has a historical reason to be present in Birmingham.
We always stop on our way through Birmingham, the boys love to see Miss Liberty. Too bad she is locked in now, not sure if that's from Covid or because the boy scouts have declared bankruptcy.
Grand Statue of Liberty (Lady Liberty) of Birmingham
She represents sacrifice, freedom, the American dream-being a part of something larger than one's self. This is what millions of people feel every time they see the Statue of Liberty. But wait-this is not New York! We are in Birmingham Alabama, and this is what travelers see as they are making their way up and down a stretch of Interstate 459: an exact replica of one of our nation's most recognizable symbols. She stands over 106 feet tall and is part of the Greater Alabama Council, Boy Scout of America Headquarters at Liberty Park.
Loved seeing this park.. it was great at night with it all lite up... the wall was beautiful... and the scout store had great service.
I only have pictures of the real one. I do enjoy going to both though. I'm old enough to remember when it sat atop the liberty building downtown.
Very nice park. It has a wall similar to the Vietnam memorial in Washington DC with the names of the Eagle Scouts.
Nice replica of the Statue of Liberty. About 100 feet tall. No one there when I visited. I parked in the Boy Scout's lot.
It’s definitely bigger then you think ..
Loved it
Very cool place. The lady was standing on all her glory. Very cool...
The mini Statue of Liberty replica is cool. Not much else to do here otherwise.
Really fun to take pictures and say that you've seen the mini version in the South!
For a quick stop and some great forced perspective photos with the kids you can't beat this place.
BSA store is cool, great place to stop and stretch your legs.
Pretty place, but I miss when Miss Liberty torch was real fire.

Great community, really good people live in this area.
I've never seen the real statue of liberty so knowing that the replica is so close really made my trip to Birmingham, AL
Not many people at night and if you are into creative photography then night time is when you need to go.
It's always cool to see different things ,accidentally bumped into this one lol
Great BSA place. Only regret, my son wasn't with me to see it.
