Reviews of Green Springs Dog Park
Very well kept up, everybody's always courteous highly recommend the place
I absolutely love this dog park. It has a couple fenced in spots for different size dogs but it isn't heavily enforced so small dogs can still play with well behaved big dogs. My little mutt loves burning off energy here.
Entrance according to Google maps was a bit off but once I let the dogs loose it was great. Didn't seem well maintained so bring your own poop bags!
Havent been out here in a while. I really enjoyed being the only one there lol. And the shade from this tree was soo wonderful. I shouldve brought a hammock! Only thing though is you can never find any poop bags in the box.
This is my favorite dog park! It is a big park with two large areas. There's a creek, tall trees, benches, sun and shade... All nature no fake grass. I don't recall it ever being too muddy or stinky. Also, I love the multicultural dog owners.
Not the best kept set of dog parks I've been to, but still nice with a huge amount of shaded space for them to run around in and plenty of seating.
This is a convenient dog park with separate areas for small dogs and large dogs. There are benches, shade, and plenty of room to run. There was a tub of water, but no spigot.
The park has lots of potential and it's nice but could be better. They have q disc golf course ajd playground. They also have ballparks next to it qnd walking trail. The bathrooms are always locked which is very inconvenient for moms and kids. I'd give it 4/5
Lots of open space for playing, there is a paved trail that winds throughout the park and a frisbee golf course as well. I knocked off one star because there was a lot of trash kind of thrown around near the path in a few different areas. Otherwise it was great
Not much grass. Clearly not a maintained park. No water access. Picked it off the map while traveling through. A lot of mud.
Beautiful and shaded, 2 large dog areas and 1 small, water available via hose.
Great dog park with plenty of shade. One part was closed for repairs but still plenty of room. Big dog and small dog sections. One downside is there is no water available for dogs to drink from so bring your own water and bowl if planning on being there a while when it's hot outside.
I’m neutral on this dog park. I visit often because it is convenient. The park overall isn’t the best. The park is divided into two sections large dog and an all dogs park. The large dog part of the park is actually smaller than the general dog park but both have a lot a trees which is great for shade during warmer months but they limit the fetch space. Both can get a little muddy. The general dog park also will get some light flooding at the entrance gate and just inside the park area. There is al lot of reddish looking mud which I have learned isn’t the easiest to remove. There is not water faucet in either of the parks but there is a small very inconspicuous hose along the walkway where you can fill your own container with fresh water if you need it. There are rarely any dog waste bags on site but often other park visitors will try to leave some around in case someone needs one.
It's a bit old and the small dog parks are closed now, so only the large dog areas are left. That being said, there are trees for shade, a double gated fence entrance, and high fences for the dogs. For the people, there are benches and poop stations in both large dog parks. Lots of people like to bring their dogs here and it can get pretty busy during the day, but don't go here at night.
Loved this dog park. We were the only ones there. Great that it's right of I65. Highly recommend!
This park isn't amazing. It is very spacious but there are no water fountains for the dogs and there are sides for small and big dogs but only one side is available so all the dogs are mixed together. Also there are no doggie bags available if you forget your own. I love Hoover's dog park better so thats where ill stay.
A surprisingly great dog park. Lots of room for the pups to run around. I only wish it was in a little safer area...mostly UAB kids here during the day with their puppies, but when it gets later it gets a little sketchy. Just be careful in the afternoon before closing.
Nice dog park, lots of space. Latches on entrance can be tricky. Bring a bowl for water. Bring your own bags. Park is usually out of them.
This has three separate dog parks. One is for small dogs, the other for large dogs, and the third park just appears to be mixed sizes. There are a couple
of things for your dog to jump around, or run through throughout the park, but some of the gates are separating a bit, enough for dogs to pull themselves through in the big, and small dog fences. The mixed size appears to be ok.
The dog park is close to the road and highway, so it makes me nervous that my dog was able to pull herself through the gate, and parts of the fence at some point. I’m glad that she pulled herself right back in and ran over to me when I called her name.
The parks do get used pretty frequently, so I do enjoy taking my dog there to socialize and run around, but I wish they were maintained just a little more.
Usually always empty but overall it's a nice park and very well lit when it gets dark
Nice park many tables to sit. Covered areas with grills.
Good walking track and frisbee golf area. Play areas for kids. Bathroom on grounds but it was locked. Ball fields as well.
Nice people and nice dogs, my pup loved it. Pretty clean.
But some random weird guy did show up (without a dog). Took ALL of the new trash bags out of the bag dispenser, then got in his car and left
First time taking my pupper! Decently clean, and they did the best they could about road noise. I'll definitely be back
Beautiful park, just not alot of places to walk.
Excellent for the travelers since it's right off the interstate. Love that they kept a good portion of the trees for the dogos to run around. Definitely will be back if we travel in the area.
3 separate areas for doggie play! Just one of the fenced in areas is easily the size of a football field, mostly wooded, but still with almost 100 yards of grass, stretched out for play time! And the other 2 areas for dogs are awesome too, with a few pet training obstacles, plus one of the areas is specifically for small dogs. The entire area has plenty of shade, in all 3 enclosures. There are water fountains near by, sidewalks, a tiny creek with fish and frogs and crawfish and other kewl kritters. Love my GreenSprings!
I've been here twice with a little maltice dog. And he had a BLAST running and playing with the bigger ones.
2nd time it was almost empty but thats because of a holiday! This is a FUN FUN FUN place 4 you to take your pet for a change of scenery.
I didn't walk around but it looked like a great place to go and take your dogs.
It's a solid dog park. I've used it for nearly 2 years now and I've had no issues. People are nice, my dogs love it. Bring your own water though!
Really great spot. We were visiting and came across this place. My pups loved it.
Great mr Perrier loves its
Take my dogs here weekly, enough space for them to run and play, dogs are normally great, only had one bad experience with someone's dog in the past year and there are 3 areas all seperated
Was a great experience. Wish the grass was better but is what it is.
My dog loved the park. I just wish there was access to water instead of bringing some from home.
Plenty of room for your dog to run around
George Ward park is a wonderful place to relax with a friend and they have a frisbee golf course 😁⛳ …
My favorite dog park in the area... Needs some maintenance BUT the best group of owners and pups!
Should be a little more upkeep but still a amazing park. I go every weekend.
I love the George Ward dog park area ..it always guarantees a good time 🦴 …
It's a swamp after it rains and you can't see it until you're within the gates. We got muddy and went to straight to a bath at Pet Supplies Plus down the street.
Great local spot for dogs don't have to drive far and he roams freely.
Good local dog park has separate enclosure for large vs small dogs. Dogs and people seem friendly.
The dog park could be in better shape, but I'm really just glad to have one nearby.
Two large dog park areas, usually not very crowded. Sometimes mud is an issue!
Great place for dogs large and small. Plenty of space to run around
Very nice and has 3 fenced in areas for your pups.
One of the only true dog parks that exist in the Birmingham area that I'm aware of.
Good dog park. No water. Ppl not picking up poop.
Needs to be updated and manicured
Babygirl has a great time!! She highly recommends this park!
I Iove going here when I do I meet a lot of nice dogs an there humans are cool oftenly
I had a great time dancing with my class in the parks parking lot
Slightly tucked away but will do the job for furry kids.
Very clean. I like this park alot
Nevaeh had great time. Met 3 new doggie friends
Has alot of shade for the dogs to play in baby liked playing here
Nice place to take the dog. He really enjoyed himself.
Large dog park with plenty of room for your dog to play.
Large park. Unsure if it is open? Grass around all grounds was a bit overgrown.
Top entrance to dog park was locked with a chain and padlock for some reason.Getting to the bottom entrance was full of mud and water.
Big, beautiful, and friendly. Great place for me and my dog.
Good size dog park. My dog enjoys it.
The different areas for different sized dogs are great!
Great place to bring your dog
Only park in the city with squirrels... Which my dog views as the best thing ever
Excellent place to have some walk with your dog
A great place to enjoy nature with friends and loved ones
The park is great but the people there can be kinda rude.
Place has gone down. But still a quiet park.
So much shaded space! Side for both small & Big dogs!
