Reviews of Eddie Kendrick Memorial Park
Great park not big. Have The Temptations music playing in the back ground . Was two or three homeless people so there were no benches to sit on. But they did not bother us.
It was great visiting the park while enjoying the Veterans day Parade 💙❤️🙏🇺🇲🤩🤗💯
Eddie Kendricks’ falsetto commands Temptations hits like “Get Ready” and “The Way You Do The Things You Do.” This public park in Birmingham is dedicated to the late singer and namesake of Kendrick Lamar.
was an American singer and songwriter. Noted for his distinctive falsetto singing style.
I'm a huge fan and that was a tremendous opportunity to visit
This was a nice unexpected visit.I was in downtown Birmingham attending the 4th Ave Jazz Festival and as I took pictures I look down I saw musical notes embedded in the cement walk way. As I looked up. there were images of the Temptations and Eddie Kendricks, This was an amazing site for me.You need to go there ,see for yourself.
It's a small corner park not well kept (Shame on you Birmingham!!) Love the stars of the Temptations and where they are all from, musical notes are lovely, very nice tribute to a legendary man. Must see if you are a music lover. 5 minutes and your done! Plus it's FREE!!! Can't beat that!
It's a very small but beautiful park. A great place to read a book in the shade, or sit and contemplate life. It's in a great neighborhood. Lots of local culture all around.
There is a family of cats living amongst the hedges of Eddie Kendricks park. A mom and three young mostly white. Myself and others (particularily Susan who i met at the "kitty chuck wagon" the other evening) provide them food and water. One of the young 3 has an injured rear leg. Which concerns me. On another note while attending Birmingham -Southern College 3 of us rented a house on bush and border streets for the summer of '83. Mr Kendricks lived in the house next to us. We had chats. Being my college years I have no recollection of my conversations with Eddie. We had no hot water but plenty of cold beer
Great historical place. I felt like I was a part of history. Me and the Temptations
Really peaceful place and you get to read the stars, where each singer is from .
Beautiful memorial in honor of Mr. Kendrick!!! Me being a huge temptation fan in really impressed!!!RIP EDDIE K!!!
This place was really interesting. I never knew much about Eddie, but the memorial was very informative.
I'm always wanted to go there. They were one of the best for all times
History is a great thing, Birmingham is more than what is talked about on the news. Always a great experience 💛💚 …
"I hear a tender rhapsody; but in reality she doesn't even know me.
Just my imagination once again runnin' way with me."
