Reviews of Centennial Olympic Park
montrell thomas
This is a nice peaceful park even though there's plenty of people there. The view around you is amazing and gives the park so much energy. The park is in walking distance to the world of coke, aquarium, college football hall of fame and so much more. The view at night when the lights come on is great! You just feel Atlanta in this park. Great place for a picnic and to come throw the football with your kids. I'll definitely be going back to write some poetry, read, and even just to chill in a peaceful place. It's dog friendly for all dog owners. Depending on where you park you may have to walk a little to get in the park. Most parking areas are $20 and up to park with no time limit but no overnight parking.

This is such a relaxing fun environment in the middle of downtown Atlanta! When the weather is beautiful you can spend hours playing in the open. The Olympic rings are a great photo op! When we went the water springs were not functional. But those are great entertainment for children! Lots of great restaurants within walking distance of the Centennial Olympic Park.

This park is a worth visit if you are on a trip to Georgia aquarium or the Coke factory. It lies just beside them within walking distance. Parking is a bit difficult since it is in downtown and no street parking is available most of the times. The entry is free of cost for the park. There are plenty of paid parking places around the park from $10-$20.

This is my first time visiting Atlanta and even though I’m just staying for a day I had to come to the Centennial Park. It’s just beautiful! Everything is really clean and organized, the grass is the most soft ever and the ambient is just perfect. Will be back for sure!
Ali A
Very beautiful park, the good thing is that it is free!
The park is clean and well managed.
Nice area to walk or sit , kids are able to play and run, worth to see this park as there are several 1996 Olympics symbols spread around the park.
If you're going to visit the Atlanta aquarium or Coca-Cola museum, go and visit this park as well.

First time visiting Centennial Olympic Park we were very excited to visit such a Iconic Historical park. The park is public, well maintained its big there's plenty of seating areas, great for families and friends. It's located in Downtown Atlanta and surrounded by amazing Buildings and famous placec in Atlanta such as SkyView Atlanta, CNN Center, the College Football Hall of Fame,World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, and Children’s Museum of Atlanta. We enjoyed our time there took beautiful pictures, I definitely recommend it.

A very iconic park with historic significance location at the heart of Downtown Atlanta. The area is vast ans located right beside the World of Coke and next to the Atlanta skyline. This park is perfect for a weekend outing or a family picnic. You will find plenty of couples also. There is no entry fee. The park is very well maintained. Would surely recommend to visit this place.

Nice place to go sit and relax while the kids play in the fountains. So much to do and see down there . Very relaxing in the afternoon . Especially after a day of walking or taking tours . A lot of tourist and nice people . A good time bring a towel the kids will get chilly even on a beautiful evening!

Lovely park in downtown Atlanta. The place is kept clean and safe by the employees & police. Drinking fountains are available, there’s splash fountains for kids to play in, wide open grass spaces for picnics or outdoor games. At the northern part near the aquarium, there’s a big playground for kids too. My only complaints: it is public, homeless people tend to lurk around the edges of the park; the center (grass area) of the park has very little shade which makes it pretty useless in the summer months.
Hammad Afridi
Historic site definitely a must. Street parking is available but also public parking around the park is also available. Take your time at the park. It is pretty big and has a lot to see. If you are in that area go right across the street to the Coca-Cola factory.
NVS
Family is visiting from out of the country and picked this location for sightseeing. The weather was perfect for December, traffic was decent for Sunday football, and the park was a pleasant low-key adventure.
trainstar5
Haven't been here in a while. Still a beautiful park. Very clean and comfortable park. Great place to walk and enjoy the sights.
Rakesh Nara
Great park located in front of Aquarium and Coca cola museum.
For restrooms you need to visit near Aquarium, for gps location keep bottle cap cafe and it will be next to it.
We have parked our car at 104 Harris St NE, Atlanta, GA 30313 and it was $20 for 24 hours parking.
Bianca L. lovi
The park is nice, very central, it shares certain spaces with the Coca Cola museum, the aquarium and the Skyview, it is right in the center of these places. It is fun to spend a Sunday morning or afternoon playing ball, it is a good place of natural recreation.
sanju stones
Such a beautiful place in the center of atlanta surrounded by many monuments like 'world of coco cola', Georgia aquarium, cultural center, cnn tower and Mercedes-Benz stadium..
Beautiful crafted the history of Olympic games and its prominence to the younger generations.
Food and fun attractions around make this perfect time for all..
Deborah Andrews-Gautney
Wonderful park in downtown Atlanta. The Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola and The Center for Civil and Human Rights are within easy walking distance.
Gordon Freeman
Aaah, this park is so wonderful and is a testament to the 1996 Olympic Games held in Atlanta. Roam along the wide paths and follow the champions road, enjoy the view and visit some nearby attractions such as the youth NFL Hall of Fame, the Coca-Cola museum, the Great Wheel or the Georgia Aquarium...maybe take a pic with Piere de Coubertin in front of the famous Olympic monument.
360 Property Services
Nice place had a good time with the family site seeing and taking photos. We visited the Olympic rings and the ferris wheel which overlooks gives a great view of the city.
Jonathan Pilgrim
Located in the City Centre, this is the site of the 1996 Olympics. The park was supposed to be a place to gather for groups, and was the site of a domestic terror pipe bomb during the ceremony that was found by a security guard saving the lives of a lot of people. Lots of history here, and a beautiful location to view the sites and city. Many activities are within easy walking. The CNN headquarters and tour, Altanta Aquarium, Coke Museum, College Football Hall of Fame and more. Definite must see in any Atlanta Trip.
Saurav Anand
Located right in the middle of busy street of Atlanta. This is great place for chill out after a long working hours. There are lot of good places to eat within few mile radius.
Must place to visit nearby: Coca-Cola Museum and Georgia Aquarium (Largest in entire US)
Wet Sofa
Beautiful park in the heart of Downtown Atlanta. Conveniently located within walking distance to many of Atlanta’s featured attractions, such as the World of Coke, the Georgia Aquarium, the CNN center, World Congress center, and many more. Great spot for scenic views of the city, or doing photo ops.
Kent Zheng
Interesting park that features the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. With the CNN building in sight. Not very large though, maybe a 15 minute visit is enough I guess?
Foushe Dotson
I actually love this park in the center of the city of Atlanta so much. I said my vows and got married here. On the Quilt of rememberance. It's a nice size park well maintained with water sprinklers that shoot from the ground and water fall fountains. A few large fields and a picnic gazebo. It also has a stage area for performances and festivals.
Ashlie Miller
Love this park! Lots of history surrounding it. It’s also a great space that allows the community to host concerts, festivals and other events. Bring a towel and make a quick run for it through the Olympic Ring Fountain!
Christie Piersol
Beautiful park with fantastic views of the city around you! Good place to stroll, or have a picnic on a nice day and let your kids play at the playground!
Rayna Ree
Good luck finding parking. But it is a must see. Beautiful place in the center of everything.
Alfred Aquino
Beautiful views of downtown Atlanta, easy to get too and such a fun day to spend in the sunshine. We unfortunately didn’t have alot of time to spend here but the next time hopefully we can enjoy the park. A must visit!
Rebecca Etheridge
Good green spaces for family fun, picnics, and playground adventures . Photo oportunities throughout the park.
aquicotui 049
Wonderful Place for relaxing and fun, very clean and friendly parks everything tourist people looking is there, security area I can recommend
Alex
Stopped here while visiting and staying at the Hyatt across the street. Beautiful little park with some unsure features and art. Has a small playground area for little kids. A couple historic pieces and memorial sites, as well as the Olympic rings make for great photo opportunities.
felix paulino
Wonderful Place for relaxing and fun with whole family. Very clean place and friendly
Asia Matthews
GORGEOUS AREA. The only downer is the amount of homeless ppl sleeping on the sidewalks at night. Really hard to enjoy a great time with homeless ppl on the sideline watching and struggling.
R. Eric Frazee
Very beautiful park to hang out and spend time with the family.
Agueda Galaz
my delighted child enjoyed a lot !! there is a lot to walk and visit..a lot of vigilance..thank you🥰🥰 …
Helen Caballero
Peaceful and very well kept park. Massive green space in the middle of the city! Beautiful walk ways, flowers amd trees.
Jason Hulsey
Very clean and orderly park. Historical markers and water features are located throughout the park. Very nice for a morning stroll.
Rx L
Awesome park! The lawn is clean and tidy, very suitable for people to rest. The weather was perfect when I came, which was really refreshing. The only regret is that I did not see the water stream and the fountain.
Miguel Mendez
Amazing park beautiful view of the city of Atlanta definitely a nice park to go for a walk
Abiezer Serrano
Great park, city view. Great photos ops.
Yehudi Ramirez Ceciliano
Beautiful place , had great weather too.
Jennifer Lemus
Fun place to visit, nice to learn the history. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. The tasting portion was a very cool experience, it is always nice to experience other cultures. Got to meet the polar bear, he looks so kind it was hard as an adult to not just want to hug him.
Kristen Whelchel
Went to the Elton John concert which was amazing never been to Mercedes-Benz stadium before it was gorgeous! The only thing I would say is they say there's restaurants in there which we looked everywhere everything is concession stand and people have nowhere to sit except for these side seats like football seats to the left and there's very few and they have to stand up and eat at tables that are tall and no chairs. I would think someone who can spend that kind of money on a place like this could do something like that so people wouldn't have to stand up and eat or sit in their seats and eat it just doesn't make sense. The concert was great but there needs to be some things changed I would think a lot of people would appreciate it. But Elton John is definitely a bucket list concert everyone must see you before he's done he is an amazing artist amazing human being philanthropist and all the above!! One of the most talented musicians of my lifetime if you have a chance to see him you must go!

Excellent park for a cool walk. This park is so beautiful and well maintained and is surrounded by many tall buildings. This park is 10 minutes walk from Peachtree Marta station. This park is very big and a best place for family get-together. This park also has good photography opportunities.
Wandering Guy
This is the Central Park of Atlanta area, what else you want to hear about this park :). This is big right in the middle of the city, it has several attractions and play areas for kids. The parking is difficult as you will have to park around. I do find some areas of the park bit less maintained but there is rest of the park which is great to enjoy and does not disappoint you. It is surrounded by a big beautiful carousel, Stadium, World of Coca Cola(do not go in there, it's the worst), and Georgia Aquarium.
LolaNewYorker
Excellent, too much fun , my kids love it
Tonya Foster
We had so much fun, we hated to leave. But when I tell you it was all that it was. I will be going back and my family as well. We visited the world of coca cola and it was amazing.. I was very impressed, not only did I learn a lot I never knew about coca cola, the staff was wonderful
Steve Bonacci
My group thoroughly loved The GA Festival of Trees at the GA World Congress Center. Everything was beautiful, and the stage acts were truly enjoyable, but the food and drink prices were outrageous! It cost $4 for a bottle of soda, and $7 for a pretzel! My only other complaint is that it should’ve been extended into December.
Cruz Nestler
Beautiful part right in the middle of down town Atlanta. Very clean, well kept vegetation, with soo much to see and do around the area. Since 1996 this park has been very well maintained and is definitely worth paying a visit to.
Lindy
Finding a parking spot might be difficult... But once you do, its worth it. This park was so beautiful. It was extremely clean, so peaceful, relaxing and historic. Take time if you have it if you're just passing through totally worth it. Have a picnik or let the kids play on the playground.
Norman Tweet
Awesome place to just walk around when it's good weather outside. Close to World of Coca Cola and the Georgia Aquarium. There are homeless people around, but there's also a police presence.
Eric Haffner
On a hot day in Atlanta it was nice to bring the kids here and cool off at the fountain. The park seems like a relatively peaceful place to hang out and take in the downtown views.
Srinivas Gudimalla
Free access to park, nice place for family visiting
Bailee Copeland
Beautiful park! Great place to go for a walk or to lay around in the grass for a couple hours. Lots of families enjoying their day.
Moises A Gomes
It was really cool to see the place, where the state put the names of the participants of the Atlanta Olympics. I just didn't go crazy looking for the names of the athletes I wanted to see there... but the place is beautiful.
Carla Williams
If you like bars and good food they are surrounded around Centennial Park there's a huge water fountain for the kids to play in, there are several different entertainment venues CNN building, civil rights building, Atlanta Aquarium, Coca-Cola museum, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena, Georgia World Congress Center, and several different hotels all within walking distance and much more
Tracey B
Had so much fun here beautiful walks and very friendly people just enjoying life,it's hard to find a park too
Ivana Petrovic
Wonderful place for a nice outdoor time, with amazing sightseeing and photo opportunities. Has great history and highlights. Plenty of rest areas and so peaceful.
Khrongsak Laphim
Park for 1996 Olympics right at city center surrounded by famous museum+tourist spot. CNN Coca Cola World College Football Museum Mercedes Benz Stadium and the famous ferris wheel
Dan Stuprich
Nice park, all very clean and well taking care .
The only thing that I think will help to be better is put a sign that say they close the west side doors at night then you don't cross the park and go back because doors are locked.DS
Lisa Little
Nice little place to have a stroll if you have an hour or so to kill, Coca-Cola world CNN and the aquarium are all very close to this park, there are Olympic Rings where you can have your pic taken and there we informative boards and statues regarding the history of the Olympics in Atlanta
Patricia DelJunco
Fantastic place in the middle of the principal attractions and down town in Atlanta. For the Covid there aren't public restrooms in those areas, in the restaurants doesn't let use the restroom you have to walk many blocks to find one that you can use.
Sharon Sharon
Wonderful Park...lots to see and do. Found our bricks and took pictures. Many lovely places to take pics and have a seat. It's maintained very well....although I did see bricks that were very faded and hard to read. Parking can be expensive in the parking garages near there. The surrounding area has some restaurants and good signs and roadways. Had a lovely time at the park and surrounding area.
Rhya Bleser
Dang, this park is impressive! I really enjoyed it. There is lots of seating, security around enforcing rules. I love the atmosphere - kids and family but also very quiet and peaceful areas. The park is huge and offers great views of downtown Atlanta. Absolutely a must see! Will be back to continue exploring the next time I’m in Atlanta!
ozi kadiri
This park is massive, very beautiful, has a water fountain with synchronized music playing out of the speakers anchored on poles some times, a child's play area, some sitting, eatery, variety of flowers and trees, lots of green grass space.
I don't know much about the names on floor bricks as i spent limited time here but ensure to find more about the history of the park if you can.
It is frequently used for events and as a relaxation spot and don't forget to take good pictures of your self here.
Debbie Bailey
We really enjoyed this park! The fountains and water features are really unique and relaxing. The kids all love the splash ground (it does get really crowded mid-day when it's hot out, so be mindful if you're bringing a younger child). Our favorite though was the Olympic fountain music and light show in the evening. Such a fun free activity for the whole family. Plus, the park is really pretty all lit up, especially the torches.
Raed Ghanja
The Centennial Olympic Park is so amazing and beautiful!! I visited it after a visit to world of Coca Cola and Georgia aquarium, and it was so great to see the different events that they organize there, plus the different playgrounds and green spaces for kids. Lets also not forget how beautiful the park is, which is perfect if you are a social media addict and want to take some very wonderful pictures around there. I totally recommend visiting it! Its good for a simple visit alone, or with family, with friends, and with someone you love.
DK1981
This wonderful park in the center of Atlanta was a surprise. Very large, clean park with lots to do with kids. We spent time at the splash pad, walked through the trees along the little Japanese garden with a creek where we found the clean bathrooms.
The CNN building, Aquarium and other attractions are all located around the park.
We took the MARTA downtown and walked the few blocks from the station so we did not have to worry about parking. Very nice to have such efficient public transportation in Atlanta.
Rita Adcock
Nice way to spend the spring like weather of 81°on February 7 2019. It was a wonderful time in the park as the dismantling of the Super Bowl continued. Children running , dogs barking , laughter in the air. Happy I could be there.
Rick Farmer
It's a nice park in the middle of Atlanta. However, there isn't a whole lot to do there besides a few touristy things. Yes, there's the World of Coke, which is just a long Coke commercial you pay to walk through and the Atlanta aquarium (which isn't bad) but, other than that, meh....
Dre Lowe
1st time ever visiting Centennial Olympic Park but it was pretty cool. A lot of the attractions here were closed tho I'm assuming do to Covid so the only thing we really saw were the Olympic Rings...I was more so taking my kids to see the water show and how the fountains change colors but that's not operating now. A bunch of the lil vendor restaurants in the park were closed as well. All in all it was still cool to visit and see the rings and the one fountain that was operating.
Mary Day
Cool place to visit and chill or to rest from seeing sights. Prime location, as the aquarium, civil Rights museum, Coca-Cola museum all kind of converge on this space. Also nearby is several restaurants, waffle house a burger joint, horses pulling carriages (not sure if this is seasonal or not). The sky view Atlanta is also right here. Mercedes-Benz stadium is just under a mile away.
Kenneth Kondash
Very beautiful park for the 1996 Olympics. You don’t need a lot of time to make it through the park and it is near a lot of places of interest that are around so makes a great quick hit.
Gando Diallo
Beautiful urban park surrounded by the Georgia Aquarium, CNN, The College Football Hall of Fame, The Coca Cola Museum, Georgia World Congress Center, State Farm Arena, the Civil and Human Rights museum, the Children's Museum, Mercedes Benz Stadium, Hotels, restaurants, Marta Transit Station etc. This is the heart of the ATL tourism. Everything is within working distance. The park is clean and people from around the country and the world converge here every day. Homeless people are visible here and there but they are not aggressive. You can still fully enjoy the park. For the last several years, I have been working in a building overlooking the park. I am still fascinated by it's beauty every time I look through the window or walk into or through it. From the ATL, with love.
April Williams
A very beautiful place to just relax and chill.... we had a wonderful time outside enjoying the breeze and hearing the children laughing while they climb. It was very peaceful and I can't wait to bring my niece and nephew.
Jayden Ham
It was so much easier getting around places like the coke museum and the aquarium to the museum of human rights. They were so close to each other.
Jeff Kirby
This is a nice park. Unfortunately, it was freezing when I visited, so it was empty and nothing was going on. I'm sure it is livelier in the spring and summer.
Pedro Garcia
Great space lots to do here
Coca cola

Spend a day here
Ben Vance (YaNeighborhoodFavoriteUNK)
I was here for the One Musicfest and the way it was set up made this park look 10 times bigger. Its really nice on a regular day too. I used to wonder how Atlanta had room to do all that when they hosted the Olympics but I see now. I enjoyed the fest and I enjoy this park whenever I happen to have time to visit it when Im in Atlanta.
anderacpharmd
Easily the largest and nicest park in downtown Atlanta. Parking is available is surrounding parking lots. Plenty of exhibits and concerts year round. Plenty of room for young kids to run through open fields. So conveniently located close to all major downtown Atlanta tourist attractions. Plenty of food located nearby. If staying (or living) in the city this is the place to bring young kids (and a picnic) when the weather is nice outside. Employees are also nice, and the park is exceptionally well maintained (particularly given the foot traffic). At least two well maintained and kept up playgrounds here as well. Who knows what musicians you will find in this area as well. Thanks, Atlanta!
Cali Chriss
Nice park, great views, just wish parking was better! Hate the parking lots only give you very little free time! I believe alot of tourists got here compared to my favorite park Piedmont Park! You won't be disappointed
Christine Kondash
Cloudy day but a nice walk through. Really pretty waterfalls and scenery.
peter stalinescu
The park is a fresh breath of air in the middle of steel and concrete, there are different areas of the park for everyone, quiet places to enjoy with the significant other, open wide areas for the inner artist in you, the wild areas to go crazy without being put down. The fall season is great because off all the leaves on the ground. This is the best place to come in downtown Atlanta. From here you can explore the hawks arena, CNN, the Mercedes stadium (falcons), world congress center, Atlanta aquarium, world of Coca Cola, The Tabernacle, Sun Dial, Westin hotel where they have a rotating restaurant at the top. Everything is a 10 minute walk radius. A good place to spend the night is the Glen hotel at the edge of the park, the lounge at the top of the hotel is the place to enjoy some music and drinks and the best view of downtown, midtown and beyond. There is also a Ferris wheel if you are not scared of heights, it goes very slow and the cabins are closed. It’s nice to come at night to take nice pictures of it. There are also many restaurants in the area that are worth giving a try. The park will close at night, they have gates.
William Birch
Wonderful place to visit and check out the area where the 1996 Olympic's we're held
Loay
Very crowded but beautiful park in the downtown heart of Atlanta! Enjoyed hopping on electric scooters with my family and going all around the park and downtown with it! Best time to visit for the views is around sunset! Watching the small fountain show with colors and music in the evening was Hilarious! Can’t think of a better place to get your kids running and have some unforgettable fun!
thatfishchick kat
Lovely park. The perfect stop for families or tourists to pop in and enjoy a picnic. The Christmas village and Chinese Lantern festival are super cute. As others have said, activities may be limited, but it is a modest parcel of land compared to parks just OTP. So, there may not be all the activities of other parks, but there's a nice splash pad, fountains, and playground. Pics are from the 2019 lantern festival!
Reema Gandhi
What an aesthetically incredible park!
Centennial Olympic Park located in Downtown Atlanta fascinated me so much that we(my family & I)ended up spending more than an hour here appreciating the Fall Foliage and clicking tonnes of pictures.
The Fountain of Rings, The Bronze Arch statue and the Statue of The founder of Olympic Committee are the predominant Charms of the park.
Most importantly, these statues are a tribute to the Olympic Games. I was totally smitten with the creativity of Bronze Arch(Fan) Statue.
Emily Gilreath
My boyfriend and I attended the Sweetwater420 Fest this year and this park was an amazing venue. Even after pouring rain, the park wasn’t flooded, just a little muddy, which was awesome because we thought the whole festival was going to be messed up. Love this park
Amy Russell
We went to the Coca cola plant here. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!! We got to see how it was bottled and taste test all the different flavors from around the world. So worth the time and money!!!
Zeke Flores
A lot to do near by. Great eateries with in walking distance. A great place to spend a day with the family.
A F
Nice and well maintained park in the downtown area that has nice views for picture taking opportunities or just relaxing. It also hosts various outdoor events throughout the year since it is in a central location in the city. It has a splash pad for kids, a covered pavilion area, and brick walkways throughout. It also has various statues and monuments that commemorate when Atlanta hosted the 1996 Olympics. Easily walkable from 2 different transit stations (Peachtree Center and Dome/GWCC) as well as paid parking nearby for those driving.
Quasar Alexander
One of my favorite places to fly drones. Lots of people.
Vidhi Shrivastava
Amazing place, fun filled musical fountain, cool place to hangout with friends as it’s surrounded by many famous activities of Atlanta. You can also enjoy sky view slow ride and also feel the pleasure of surrounded by the most beautiful buildings of the Atlanta. Night lights adds on the beauty of skyline 🌃 …
Asma Ali
It is a nice park to visit once in a while, it is in downtown Atlanta, in the middle between all the attractions. It is where the Olympics were held, they have water fountains for kids to play in, in Christmas day they have music play in the background while the water dancing. Fun to visit and watch. The problems that they have are that they always have some part of the park closed for construction, and their bathrooms are dirty.
L Pertiller
Looking for a great place to accommodate every age range? Centennial Park is it! From the water spouts, to the playground or even the picturesque pools and walking trail this park has a lot to offer. Located in the very heart of Atlanta you can literally take the pulse of the city from this spot! No matter how many people are out it's hard to feel crowded here with such a large venue.
Charley Paul
Great park to walk around. Currently under construction, so a little noisy with some heavy construction equipment at one end. There does seem to be a fairly large homeless population who hangs out in the park, however that is no fault to anyone.
Michelle Nye
I was visiting for the German Christmas market and the Japanese lantern festival. I also found my mom's brick that I bought in memory of her from the when the Olympics were held here in 1996. It is a great place to sit and people watch or have a picnic.
Jonathan Okutoro
Finally visited the historic City of Atlanta. A very inspiring place to be.
Christian Ardito
Beautiful park in downtown Atlanta. The park is surrounded by hotels, restaurants and attractions including the Georgia Aquarium and the Coca-Cola World.
Kortney M
Beautiful park for the family to visit. It was clean and there was only one vagrant smoking Tucci. There are multiple parks to choose from for the kids to play on.
Allison of Tubs Of Love 23 LLC
Its a fairly large Park!
Close to a lot of stores and such. We had our March with the Church and One Race There!
And You can Pay For Your Parking in Advance! The Green Deck with GWCC is rhe closest.
Justin Thurman
Quite a lovely park. Took a stroll through the park after 9 pm when we left the Aquarium. There were not many people at all in the park and it was very well lit. Quite a wide open space and was really nice to see all the lights of the city. There was a police presence as well so we felt completely at ease.
Jami Willard
Was a cute park. We went during the week so not many people there
FORREST TAYLOR
We decided to go to the Juneteenth celebration on Saturday evening. We figured that if we waited until about 6pm the heat would have dissipated. We ended up getting there around 7pm. We got lucky and found parking very close by. The temperature was very comfortable. This was my first venture into Atlanta and my wife's first since we moved to Georgia. The festival was really nice. Plenty of food choices. Lots of vendors with Juneteenth related items for sale. The park had 4 different stages and the whole atmosphere was really nice. We got a few Juneteenth souvenirs and a few drinks and had a wonderful experience. We ended the night with a ride on the giant ferris 🎡 wheel. The evening went much better than I expected.
Samantha H
A nice park in Atlanta. We took a leisurely stroll around and admired the statues. The bricks are meant to look like a quilt from above. You can see the park from the Ferris wheel across the street, making the Olympic ring foundation even more of a view. If you have some leisure time, take a nice stroll. There is parking right across the street.
Elix taveras
Wonderful Place for relaxing and fun with whole family
Johan Björefeldt
Nice peaceful park, large grass lawns, fountains, and the Olympic rings for photos. A lot of people seemingly all the time, but still plenty of space to relax, have a picnic, or walk around. Conveniently close to aquarium and Coke museum.
Prabhasa Kalkur
Iconic park with historical significance. However, peak afternoon isn’t the best time to visit as it is quite hot and empty
Alan Coates
So great to have the park open again on a regular basis. Tip: the Ring Fountain is not operating yet as of 10.19.2021.
Terri McBride
We loved visiting the park and reading about the 100th Olympic games. The area surrounding the park is worth a walk around.

Beautiful park with lots of different elements. Statues, sculptures, and walkways depicting Olympic Rings and figures. Sprawling walkways throughout the grounds. Water features, pergola, and Ferris wheel.

Nice park with beautiful scenery in the middle of an area that has alot of things to do. Historic also I suppose because of the 1996 Olympics. Great views of the city as well.

Beautifully maintained and peaceful atmosphere. Loved it.

Beautiful walking experience at the former location of the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta, GA. The Olympic park has been modernized with many amenities with the Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium within walking distance. Across the Olympic park, they now have a ferris wheel where you can get a better view of the Olympic center and adjoining tourist areas.

Fun place to enjoy beautiful weather. Fun fountain for kids and Skyview wheel right next! The aquarium, CNN tours, Hall of Fame, and coca cola museum are around the park

Oh my goodness!!!! MY grandson really really enjoyed himself!! So did the rest of the families that we're there. The atmosphere just lifted my heart and mind, and the children gave me a spirit of gratitude. Oh how much their joy ministered to my soul!!! I left the water fountains refreshed and renewed. The water show and music had the children in awe!!! So grateful to have a place like Centennial Park in the midst of this busy city. And it didn't cost a dime . Free peace, free joy, free delight, and such mental freedom for all.

Centennial Olympic Park is the place which captures all the memories from the 1996 Olympic Games at Atlanta, Georgia. It's a great place to chill, enjoy and relax. Located amidst of all the tourist destinations of Atlanta including World of Coco-Cola, CNN, SkyView etc. the Olympic Park is a good place to spend some free time.
They also offer a water show in the evenings. The place don't have any major food outlets is the only concern -- there are some Street shops available.

I didn't really care to visit but we had some down time before a reservation and decide to check it out.
So glad we did! It was beautiful. The most stunning park I've ever been to. Not much to do and the water features weren't running but it was still gorgeous

Incredible visit to this place, it should be noted that the entire floor of this place is full of names of people, and its surroundings are great.

Very beautiful park with a lot to see! It is so enjoyable to walk through the park and there's also a good view of many things in the city. There are fountains and sculptures and the park is kept very clean.

This is another large outdoor park to walk, play, and sit by the waterfall. This location is at the center of the city of Atlanta. You will see Georgia Aquarium and Coca Cola on one side.

Great place to stroll around with family and friends! Lots of shade for hot days. Coca-Cola museum is nearby, as well as Aquarium.

Always a great place to visit in Atlanta. Make sure to check out World of Coke and the Georgia Aquarium. The CNN Tower is also pretty cool and tours are available year round. There are several restaurants located around the park that can satisfy any appetite. Make sure to plan a visit next time you find yourself in Atlanta Georgia!

Fun way to spend some time, especially if you’re a fan of the Olympics!

Lovely place. Great place to take pictures and spend time with family. You can go to the World of Coca-Cola or Georgia Aquarium from there. They have a playground for the kids. The only bad thing is that the fountain gives off a fish smell.

Beautiful park. Nicely located. On foot travel only. So it's very nice and friendly to walk through.

Centennial was great, good place to go out with family have events there and just enjoying the city of ATL for real, nothing new to me been in the city for years almost like I'm originally from here because of mine family, and love going there do events with security there also, it's the greatest experience for the tours and the city people who from here live here to experience a great place to bring your kids and everything and enjoy it and have a peace of mind.

Was rainy and empty when I visited. It looked well taken care of. Lots of neat stuff nearby, the Ferris wheel, aquarium, world of coke, and more.

Park itself is beautiful and spacious. Wasn't all too impressed by the Chinese latern festival. There were some displays that were impressive, but the food and performances were lackluster. Recommended for kids, not so much adults.

Walking through this park did not feel like a park. It was much smaller than I had anticipated it to be, and it did not take long at all to walk through it.
Most of the grounds here are just open fields of grass (it looked more like artificial turf). I believe I would have enjoyed this park more if it offered more natural scenery and landscaping.

Beautiful place for a walk. Nice view of the City. Next to the Park there are popular places lije Aquarium, House of Coca-Cola, Sky View...
Rachelle Schutt
Great park to rest, play, eat, and more. The Fountain of Rings is a fun place for the kids to run around and get soaked! Restrooms are nearby in the Visitor's Center. They have shows where they play music to the fountains water dancing. We did a scavenger hunt through here so we got to learn about the memorials and statues as well. Right across the street from the Georgia Aquarium, museums. Skyview, and more.

Such a great place to start your exploration of Atlanta. I parked here and you can spend the entire day here between the Coca-Cola and CNN and aquarium. However it's very Central to other great places in Atlanta

Lovely cold day spent looking over various attractions in Centennial Olympic Park. Visit World ofCoca Cola and walked through other areas of interest.
Annina Manttari
Beautiful park right in the middle of downtown, has two fun playgrounds for kids and is conveniently surrounded by the aquarium, coca-cola museum and kids museum. Definitely recommend it!

I hadn't been there in a few years and was so glad to go and see how safe it is to hang out here the park has been remodeled and it's very beautiful

Clean spacious atmosphere. Would prefer private bathrooms other than porta potties. Close proximity to restaurants, CNN center, Ga Aquarium

One of the top spots to visit in Atlanta. The fountains are beautiful and are great if you have kids. The park is spacious and it is relaxing and it is free except for maybe parking. Plus there is always different events going on there. One of our favorite weekend spots.

The park property was previously a variety of vacant lots and abandoned or run-down industrial buildings. ACOG's chief executive, Billy Payne, conceived it as both a central gathering location for visitors and spectators during the Olympics and as a lasting legacy for the city. With the park being the showcase to the world during the Olympics, ACOG decided to hold a design competition to lay out and build the park. Architect EDAW, with the construction and design firm H.J. Russell & Company entry, was selected as the winning design for the park by ACOG. Centennial Olympic Park was constructed in two phases. Phase I of construction was completed July 1996, just in time for 1996 Olympic Summer Games at a cost of US$28 million. During the Olympics, the park contained sponsor exhibits, hosted entertainment and medal presentations, and was a hotbed for pin trading. Phase II construction took place shortly after the Olympics were over and was completed during the following year, in 1998, at the cost of US$15 million.
The celebrations in the park were marred by the July 27 bombing which killed two people (one from a heart attack) and injured one hundred eleven others. Security at the park and at all sporting venues was subsequently raised to include bag searches and metal detectors at all entrances. The bombing site is adjacent to the Park's "Centennial Tree". It was closed shortly after the Olympics for renovations (including installation of grass) until spring 1998.
On March 14, 2008, the park sustained minor damage when a tornado tore through downtown Atlanta. Two of the 65-foot-tall light towers were blown down. It was the first tornado to hit the downtown area since weather record keeping began in the 1880s.[
On July 16, 2016 Centennial Olympic Park hosted the 20th Anniversary Celebrations of 1996 Olympic Games. Organized by GWCCA (Georgia Would Congress Center Authority) the event included fireworks, live entertainment, food trucks, concessions, Olympic and Paralympic volunteer reunion. The 20th Anniversary Celebrations of 1996 Olympic Games served as the first official reunion for the 1996 Olympic and Paralympic Athletes, stakeholders, volunteers, and staff since there was no reunion organized for the 10th anniversary.
Also on July 16, 2016 the GWCCA announced to the public that, "In honor of the park's 20th anniversary, the Georgia General Assembly, the private sector, and philanthropic community will come together and raised funds for improvements and projects in Centennial Olympic Park". The construction improvements project will take place in two phases. Phase One officially began during the month of March 2017 and is expected to be finished by January 2018. Phase two construction is expected to start sometime during the month of February 2018. All construction improvement projects within the park are predicted to be completed by 2019
park is surrounded by many major Atlanta Landmarks; the Georgia World Congress Center, College Football Hall of Fame, Philips Arena, the CNN Center, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium are all on the west side of the park and the Georgia Aquarium, National Center for Civil and Human Rights, and the World of Coca-Cola on the north side of the park. It is bounded by Marietta Street to the west, Baker Street to the north and Centennial Olympic Park Drive to the east and south. Andrew Young International Boulevard, named for the former Atlanta mayor and United Nations ambassador, runs through the southern portion of the park. Since 2008, the area around the park has been marketed, and increasingly referred to in the press, as the Luckie Marietta District. The Atlanta Streetcar will pass along the east side of the park, with a stop for the park on Centennial Olympic Drive.
