Reviews of Buck Creek RV Park
Very nice quiet campground. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dennis told us of several places to eat and different hiking trails. Backed right along side a creek with two swimming holes. Gravel level sites. Close to downtown Marion.
We had the greatest vacation at Bucks Creek RV Park. The staff was super friendly, the park was beautiful, our dogs had a great time in the huge field where they could run around, and there are lots of places to go in the area. It was one of our favorite RV parks on our 6 week vacation. We are definitely going back next year. Highly recommend.
One of the absolute best RV parks. I love coming here. Wide open space for star gazing at night & flying drones or planes during the day. But the best part is the creek that runs parallel to the site.
Love, love, love this place. We are full time rvers and decided to stay here for 6 weeks. I enjoyed every minute of it. The beautiful stream that runs along the campsites is breathtaking. I highly suggest this park
Had a great time camping here for our first time. Also got to jump in to the swimming holes to cool down. Bonus is they have Wi-Fi and cable!
Stayed in 29...quiet part of creek in between the 2 swimming holes...perfect in the shade...and beautiful open park setting in the center...tubing on creek is not for fat guys but the wife loved it!
We had a wonderful time. We will go back. Everyone was so nice and the park was very clean, quiet and well run. The spots that we were in were situated right beside a running creek. The beauty of the creek and the sound that it made was a highlight of our trip. What a truly beautiful place!
Go there!
Great camping here.
A friendly and helpful family run campground.
Really enjoyed this campground and would visit again. Most sites are along the creek and just sounds wonderful. We fly fished and and swam in one of two swimming holes. The water was clear and clean. The location allowed us to explore Mount Mitchell, Linville Falls, and the Blue Ridge parkway Viaduct. The morning sun would warm us up and the site is shaded by the afternoon. Bathrooms were clean. Supermarket and hardware stores are nearby. Friendly and easy going staff.
Beautiful park with access to lots of beautiful waterfalls. Love the River that the park backs up to.
We found this park originally on campgroundreviews.com, however, we didnt realize how nice the park and the owner is. Justin went out of his way to help us get parked, provided us with information about surrounding hikes, waterfalls, and points of interest. We had an issue with some of our camper lighting and Justin gave us a name of a reputable rv repair company. We will also give 5 stars for them as well. Our site backed up to the creek and we had the best view in the park. Site 8. We will be back.
From our phone booking through our stay everything was great. Justin the owner is very cool and explained his COVID restrictions perfectly so we know what to expect when we arrived. The campgrounds and site we clean and nicely sized. We loved hearing the running water of Buck Creek behind our coach. We will definitely stay here again! Cheers Justin on a great job.
Love this place. Nice places to swim and the bath house was nice and clean. The people are awesome. All around just a great place to stay. The sizes of the lots for RVs is pretty good sizes. It feels like a big family when you are there! Dogs are allowed! And the water is clear. Fishing is good there but you catch a lot of small fish. Great vacation!
Nice little RV park with most sites next to Buck Creek. I really appreciated how quite it was the whole time we were there . If you are into remote planes or drones they have a nice field to fly in. All sites are very easy to get into. They do have an office where you can buy firewood But that is about all. As much room they have I am surprised they don't offer a few everyday items like Milk, eggs, bread. The only complaint is that NOT everyone picks up after their dogs.
Really enjoy our stay and looking forward to coming back. Enjoy your Summer
Visited for a long weekend this past weekend. This park is very well maintained, quite and relaxing. The creek runs behind “most” of the sites. I would recommend it for couples who want a nice quite getaway. Not sure I would recommend it for families w children UNLESS your intention is to enjoy the creek and ride your bike only. I didn’t see anything provided by the park for children. Overall, great experience for us- would return in the future
Crystal clear mountain stream with 2 swimming holes, shady RV sites, clean shower house and well maintained overall RV park -- these are the reasons we love this place. Close to stores and restaurants if you want to leave. Quiet and peaceful if you want to relax.
Quiet, peaceful and clean place to relax. Not crowded, great staff and management. Wifi is decent, cell coverage is weak (booster recommended). Full hookups and large RV’s supported. Many outdoor activities nearby.
Buck creek RV park is a great campground! Owners are awesome! Nice place for all to visit most definitely recommend
Very quiet, shaded, beautiful river and pet friendly
Great small campground with a nice creek running through. We will camp there again!
We had to cancel our reservation as our plans have changed and we are unable to go. The management was wonderful, understanding and worked with us! We are disappointed as we were looking forward to it. The reviews we researched were all positive! Sounds like it would have been a great time!
This place is great, truly is! Had a shaded spot right on the creek. Fell asleep to the running water, never got hot in the shade, water temp was warm, swimming holes fun, and facilities clean and accommodating. We will come back!
Our first stay at Buck Creek and it was wonderful!!! Dan was so very helpful and we will certainly be back!!!Loved the creek flowing by and the sounds were very peaceful!!Thank you!!
Buck Creek is a great place, it encompasses what consider to be a prime location, BlueRidge Parkway 8 miles away. Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Ashville 30 miles, plenty of things to do.
Very quiet, and if your into motorcycle touring this is prime for a home base, I highly recommend Buck Creek 👌
Staff if nothing but liars and thieves, stay as far as you can from this place, after you pay for a month in advance they show up at your door with the sheriffs department and force you to leave and steal your money. And claim that someone complained about you and force you out with no refund.
Great camping place good tubing wadeing, etc. Wi-Fi good at some sites bath house small but adequate. Since the son inherited the place the fee has gone to 80. A night. The place is still popular and hard to get into. New rules of rental makes too expensive.
We've been staying here for 5 years every spring. This is a great friendly place with wonderful staff I've saw some negative reviews so I thought I add a good one. I plan to come back year after year and always recommend it. Dan it a great host.
A little slice of creekside paradise! Some of the sites are a bit packed in and uneven, but once we were in ours it was like its own little woodland hideaway. We had a view of the running creek out back and the sound was of running water super peaceful over our evening campfires. There are two swimming holes on-site that are surprisingly deep and great for dips on hot days.
I wish the bathroom showers were a little bigger and that the owners would build a fenced off lease area for dogs (they have a HUGE field but no off-leash, despite tons of dog owners), but the staff was really helpful so this is nit-picking. Only other complaint is that there is a moderate driving distance to Marion, Asheville, or the Blue Ridge Parkway but nothing so bad we didn’t do it almost every day anyway.
Definitely will return in the future.
Absolutely perfect place to spend time in your RV! Start with the absolute friendliest staff and then on to the exceptional surroundings. RV spaces are huge and very easy to back into, so if you're a novice like me, then you'll have no trouble at all. Plus you can always ask for some help and the workers are more than gracious enough to give you a hand. Can't say enough about this RV park! Perfect location between lots of great areas to hike and sightsee. Keep up the excellent work!
Visited Buck Creek for the first time in August 2019. Two hours after getting setup, my wife was ready to make reservations for the whole season and leave to camper there that trip. Dan and his son were great hosts and keep the grounds "...ready for inspection..." all the time. They made our experience one of great relaxation. They were on the spot even loaning some tools when our awning failed as we were packing to come home. I'd recommend Buck Creek anytime! Here's some specifics:
1. Quiet - we could hear nature for a change
2. Clean - everything was well kept
3. Great point to launch out and explore the area
4. Safe for children to bike, run and play; let's be kids again!
5. Close to town in case we needed something
One of the best campgrounds I have ever been to! It is very peaceful and the sites are extremely spacious. We were camping with friends who stay there every summer and we have already made plans to go with them every year from now on. Each night we gathered by the fire and creek and had dinner, socialized and just enjoyed spending time together. There is a huge field for dogs to run and our border collie absolutely loved it. The owner, Dan, and his entire family were accommodating and helpful. This campground is a must stay if you travel through western NC!
We enjoyed our stay at Buck Creek RV Park. It is well maintained, lots of shade, lots of room, awesome creek running behind most campsites that can be fished or swam in. Owner, Dan, was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here. Lots of room for kids to play. We travelled with our German Shepherd and were able to run him out in the huge field in front of the campsites without disturbing others. The laundry facilities were clean. We look forward to a return trip to Buck Creek!
Thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at Buck Creek Campground! We already booked our second visit for Memorial Day weekend and expect many more to come. This campground is absolutely beautiful. If you want to enjoy a peaceful and quiet camping experience on a mountain creek and an enormous meadow then you will fall in love with this campground. Our kids hiked on the creek, fished, flew kites and rode bikes. They loved it. We are looking forward to swimming in the two swimming holes and tubing down the creek on our next visit. The campground was well maintained, clean and the owners were very helpful. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous, Family owned park with a large flowing creek along which most of the sites are located.
Water is warm and there are nice swimming spots.
Grounds are kept immaculate as is the bath house.
The owner is a super nice fellow who does all he can to make everyone's stay as pleasurable as possible.
Just cannot say enough about this place as it is like staying with friends or family.
I would rate it 10 stars if possible !
We arranged a family & friends "end of season gathering" so everyone could bring and show off their own camp lodging. We had everything from a 15-ft travel trailer to a 19-ft travel van to a 40-ft luxury RV. Dan managed to get us situated so that we were side by side allowing us to visit and share cooking duties with ease. The campsites were clean with full hook ups. For the cool evenings there was an old washing machine tub to build camp fires in. And one evening, they flew their remote controlled airplane all lit up with LED lights after it was completely dark. Very cool!! The guys got in some fishing and the ladies enjoyed visiting. This was not our first visit and will not be our last. Far enough from everything to enjoy being outdoors but close enough that anything you may have forgotten can easily be picked up.
Our absolute favorite campground ever! We have stayed at Buck Creek several times. Dan is very accommodating, him and his boys do a great job keeping every thing neat. This is a very quiet campground that’s probably why we enjoy it so much. There is a creek for the kids to swim, fish and tube down. There is also an open field to play in. The way Dan has the sites arranged the kids can ride the entire campground on their bikes and you can watch them without them going out of sight. We love Buck Creek!
Just wanted to give a big shoutout to Buck Creek RV Campground in North Carolina. This was a really serene and well kept campground with exceptionally nice and helpful staff. Justin, the owner is very thorough and gives you quite a bit of information concerning the campground and surrounding area when you check in. They routinely come by and check on you and and to see if you need anything. The campground is not overly crowded with nice spots that give you a sense privacy. A rambling creek runs along the campsites with 2 swimming holes and a very large field to run your pets. We have a large rig (41' Vilano) and we fit in perfectly. We will definitely be back and are already planning a couple of trips next year. Thanks Justin...
My husband and I have been going to Buck Creek for 6 years. The owner, Dan, is always so helpful whether it’s loaning an extension or cable cord or providing advice on motorcycle routes. It’s a beautiful site right on the water with nice level shaded sites. The bathroom is always immaculate. Buck Creek is our go to campground when headed to the mountains. I can’t recommend it enough!
We stayed in site 9, overlooking swimming hole 1, adjacent to a lovely creek with many majestic shade trees.
Gravel roads and (level) sites. Good cable TV.
Huge grass meadow, beautiful views, quiet and peaceful.
We did not use bathrooms or laundry facilities, although they appear adequate/appropriate for park.
Our Verizon service and signals weren't the best, although other campers reported better success. We did not use park internet. (Not a bad thing to take some time off!)
Family owned and operated. Pride of ownership evident. It was a pleasure to stay here. We look forward to coming back in the fall to enjoy nature's color show.
We LOVE Buck Creek RV Park. The experience has been absolutely great. Our site is right beside the creek and it is so peaceful in the mornings for coffee or winding down in the evening. We brought 3 dogs and they have also had a great time! Dan and his sons really care for this park and it shows. They helped us so much and we cannot say enough positive things about them. We even had a little air show from some of the locals flying remote control planes!
A little pricey, but loved this park!! Lots of space to walk, decent sized sites, 50 amp fhu, wonderful creek to dip into, and super quiet and peaceful. The lower clothes dryer took two cycles to dry clothes, but inexpensive. Little to no cellular signal, booster barely helped. They provide wifi, but it's as good as any other campground wifi, couldn't stream internet television on it.
Great place to stay, quiet, remote, but very easy to get to! Only a few miles from some great motorcycle rides! Thanks again to Dan! You set the bar for hospitality! We give this campground 5 stars, because 10 stars isn't an option!
Small, quiet campground with easy access from I-40. Clean, but small bath house with limited privacy for showering. Lovely stream side sites, with fire pit and picnic table. Kids loved the 2 swimming holes in the creek, and very "refreshing!" Nothing like crisp mountain water at the end of May. Owner prefers cash or checks, which I didn't see listed on the website, so I had to made a trip into Marion to visit an ATM. Other than that inconvenience, we enjoyed or stay and would come again.
This is a great little Campground just outside Marion NC. The campsites are nestled under the trees and positioned next to Buck Creek. There's a 30 acre open field that is outstanding for flying a drone. The owner is also into flying RC airplanes and if you are lucky, you might get a spectacular viewing of a very talented pilot. Scenery is beautiful. Bath house is very clean. The owner, "Dan the man" is a great guy. You will enjoy your stay. I'm looking forward to my next trip.
Buck Creek RV Park is one of the best camping sites that my wife and I have ever stayed. Most sites sit right along Buck Creek and make a very enjoyable camping trip. Justin is the manager and he is a very nice guy. I highly recommend this place to all campers that want a wonderful experience.
Campground was neat and clean. Bathrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen campground bathrooms be! We were the only tent, everyone else had campers, but it was the quietest, most relaxing experience. Words can't describe how nice it was. Fishing and swimming, dogs allowed. Night time air show by owner and his son. RC friendly. Loved, loved, loved it!
We went this past weekend and had an excellent time! Our site was close to our neighbors but the atmosphere is excellent and it appears everyone who camps here is very friendly. Great spot for the family. The owner Dan and his boys are great hosts! He was out of ice and even went into town to get me a bag while he was out! I also got a nasty spider bite and his sons girlfriend was a nurse! She took time to check me out and didn’t charge;) It was a fantastic weekend and hope to go back soon. BTW the swimming holes are the best I’ve seen and so close to the site and quiet to boot! Thanks again Dan! Maga!
Great property, great hosts, great community! Stayed for a month and could have easily stayed longer. Big rig friendly (no problem with our 45 footer) and clean/good size sites. We'll definitely look to stay here again when in the area. Thanks Justin!
If you want friendly service and a peaceful atmosphere all while sitting by a beautiful mountain stream, this is the campground for you! The laundry and bath house are well maintained. The staff is very accommodating and the campground is not overcrowded like so many others. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to return!
This RV campground is located just far enough out of the city and just far enough away from the road for a little peace and quiet while on vacation. My parents and I stayed here one night, but then we decided to stay for two because it was homey and the people were quite friendly. We stayed here on the 4th of July, and it was still a very quiet place (mostly older couples). You're also not forced to look at tons of other RVs because the owner set the sites up in a line. You can position your lawn chairs to look at a beautiful field or a peaceful creek. About 22 miles from Blue Ridge it was perfect for us. Full hook-ups but the public showers and restrooms are small, clean though!
JUST PERFECT!! We've been here every summer for 5+ years and never stay anywhere else. The campground is beautiful, clean and so close to everything.....Mt. Mitchell, Lynville Caverns, restaurants, shopping and more. The owner of the RV Park, Dan, is always friendly and can tell you anything you want to know about the area. Last and best is sitting at your camper in this beautiful place listening to Buck Creek rushing over the rocks right beside your chair!
Beautiful place very nice people will make here our place to stay when we come to N. C.
My wife and I stayed here for an entire week in June of 2017 and we had a most splendid time. Dan, our campground host was very accommodating plus he's motorcycle friendly. We rode our Harley to many nearby attractions but enjoyed the Blue Ridge Pkwy and Grandfather Mountain the most. The campground was neat and clean and the bath house was spotless. All sites had full hook-ups and backed-up to a rushing creek, plenty of shade, free wifi, and we met some really nice folks there as well. Everyone at the campground was friendly and no rowdiness that we observed like you might see at a state park.
The first couple of days of our visit my wife talked about going to the beach next year but after staying at Buck Creek for the whole week she said she'd like to come back next year. We have a class C motorhome and will definitely stay here next time we visit Marion NC. Great time!!
We camped here in our travel trailer last week of June 2018. Ended up extending our stay it was so lovely and relaxing! We were in #8 with a swimming hole right out the back. Our GSD did most of the swimming but the water was beautiful and refreshing for all. The meadow is a great place to walk and if you're lucky you might get treated to the RC planes doing their stunts. Dan and his family are terrific hosts and shared lots of tips as to the 'must do' local attractions. Good wifi and cable. The washer and dryers were available when I needed them and are reasonably priced.(there are 2 of each). The sites are not huge, but the way they're arranged along the creek affords plenty of privacy and we never felt the least bit crowded. Highly recommend and would return again. Aloha!
One of the best campgrounds we've ever stayed at. Dan and his family have a great deal of pride in their facility. It's clean, well cared for, and the icing on the cake is the truly beautiful creek...Buck Creek. This isn't a tiny trickle. You're in North Carolina, in the.mountains. Clear mountain creek! We travel with our Airedale Penny and there's a lot of green space to walk her, lots of grass, not mud and dirt. Really nice, clean laundry facility. There's a driving range on site! If you're a golfer how great is that? If you are into RF airplanes there is a large field and tables for your hobby. If you're into motorcycling, Buck Creek is at the beginning/end of the Diamond Back run and it isn't far from the Dragon and the Snake. Finally, did I mention WiFi and cable? You are going to like this campground.
Excellent spot to spend a few days or a season. We have been to Buck Creek RV Park four times. We have family in the area, so we spend about a week every time we come. The folks at Buck Creek are very accommodating and try their best to ensure you have a good time. Buck Creek is close to many of the spots to see. We drove into Asheville to have lunch at one of their many ice restaurants. The restrooms and laundry are kept spotless. On Sunday morning you can attend church services at Carson’s Chapel, located across from the entrance to Buck. Creek RV.
This spot is amazing! The owner is great and has a ton of information on the entire area of things to see and do. Huge field our golden retrievers loved racing around on. Lovely, level spacious sites that backed up to the river, absolutely beautiful place. This was our first stay here, but will not be our last.
We have been long time campers here. Highly recommend the grounds. The setting is beautiful and relaxing. Nothing like listening to the stream surrounded by nature. Check out the website for more info. Dan, the owner, is very hospitable.
Great place to get away. They only take cash or check.
My husband and I stayed the weekend. We had a nice and relaxing time!! It is such a peaceful place and I highly recommend this campground!! Very friendly staff! We will definitely go back!!
Love love love!!! Such a great place to stay for the slower pace life. This was quiet, serene, and full of nature all around. Super clean campground and almost all of the sites back up to the perfect creek with two swimming holes. Swimming hole 1 is perfect for a dip and light swim for the kids.
Swimming hole 2 was more adventurous and great for snorkeling and maybe a dive. It’s beautiful. We had a blow up raft and floated from hole 2 to hole 1. A little shallow this time of year but still fun and relaxing. Each site has a firepit. We caught fireflys at night and made s’mores.
The location was ideal for activities East of Asheville. We did Boone, NC one day which was about 45 minutes and another day did Asheville which was another 45 minutes.
Justin clearly loves his job as he gave us a map and the most detailed description of things to do within an hour of the campsite.
We will definitely be back. Thanks Justin!!!
Have a 42' coach with slide outs both sides, had a wonderful site on the creek, very clean, quiet and peaceful, the owner/host was very friendly and accommodating. Great wifi and cable tv on our site. Our first time but will definitely be staying on future trips to the area. Enticing mountain creek behind us and huge green meadow out our front window, doesn't get much better. Plus an added bonus on a couple of nights, owner and his son treated the campground guest to a RC model airplane air show on the meadow... top notch.
Absolute fantastic campground. Dan, the owner, is great and very knowledgeable of the area. Loved our 7 day stay and did not want to leave. If you have a Harley or sportscar, you will absolutely love being right at Diamondback route. Cant wait to return. Thanks Dan
This is our 3rd time back. Dan is great, the sites are good, and the creek is awesome
Highly recommend this campground. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Hard to find people so willing to help anymore.
We happened upon this gem of a place because we were heading home to Florida from Boone and found out our state was facing a massive hurricane, ( Dorian). We were frantically searching for a place to stay and ride it out but being labor day weekend everything was full.
By the Grace of God and the luck of the Irish, that being me, an rv park that was full highly reccomend we call Buck Creek Rv Park. we called and unbelievably he was packed full but just had a cancellation!
That was Thurs. August 29th. We are still here because Hurricane Dorian has decided to slow down to a crawl and is now hitting Charleston! So blessed and grateful it did completely miss our part of south fl. But prayers go out to Charleston.
This is by far one of the best RV campgrounds we have ever stayed at. Sites are lovely with loads of shade trees and the babbling creek immediately behind is pure zen.
So gorgeous and peaceful.
The owner Dan is beyond amazing. He is kind and patient and will do anything and everything to accommodate everyone. I shouldn't tell people this but he even helps with the cable TV challenged people like us!
I love his son Justin who, like his dad is sweet patient and will bend over backwards to help a camper.
The facilities are spotless clean, showers cleanest ever and little laundry room is perfect with clean excellent working machines. A rarity in rv parks.
So here we are, about to extend yet another week because we just love it here!
We will be booking a whole month for next year.
Love this place!
PS. They also put on a stunning, nocturnal model airplane acrobatic display. Just another amazing feature of this incredible place.
This was a gem of a find for us! Dan the owner was extremely helpful, the place is really clean and the swimming holes were so much fun!! Sites except the overflow were shaded and most of them on the river. So far on our trip (we are full time rvers) rates high with us!
Anyone rating this below a 3 hasn’t camped here.
We've been camping for over 15 years and have been in RV parks from Canada to Florida. This park will rank in the top 3. Privately owned and very well maintained with a huge mowed field for exercising your pets or flying radio controlled models.
A beautiful mountain stream runs the full length of the park behind the RVs with two pools for swimming or relaxing. Check this place out, you'll be glad you did..
When hurricane Dorian was threatening to hit our Florida location as a cat 4, I battened down the old homestead, hooked up the travel trailer and left town. Not wanting to follow the projected path of the storm, we headed NW. Our plan was to head to Ashville, NC. Once we arrived in NC we contacted several campgrounds near Ashville, and the response was the same each time….it’s Labor Day weekend and they were booked solid… sorry. We then tried several campgrounds closer to where we were stopped only to get the same response. I then contacted Buck Creek RV Park. At first Dan said that he was also full for the holiday, however, when I explained my situation, he offered me a spot for the night
with electric only, but said he would have a site with full hook-ups available the next morning. It was another one and a half hour ride to Buck Creek, but Dan was there to greet me when I arrived at 6:30 PM. The next day we were assigned a lovely site along the creek! The park is beautiful and very well maintained. The creek is gorgeous! I ended up staying three nights and doing some sight seeing. The peace and tranquility of Buck Creek RV Park helped to alleviate my worries about was going on back home. If I could give Dan and Buck Creek RV Park 6 stars, I would.
Wonderful campsite for our 40 foot Class A motorhome.
Really enjoyed a surprise evening illuminated model airplane flight!
Full hookups with no problems.
Will definitely be back ♥️
Great place for large rigs. Dan the campground man was so helpful and accommodating and super friendly. Very clean facilities. Very clean park and right on Buck Creek. Several places to swim in the creek or just wade and fish. Large spaces and plenty of privacy. We will be back!
This campground exceeded our expectations! The campsite we have is right on the creek. It's tranquil and very peaceful. The owner is so accommodating. He cut down some branches so our back deck could set up over the creek. I know we will return.
Love the creek behind your camper, little tight when the sites are full. Very clean and kept up with. Definitely will stay again.
Best campground we have ever been to. Just stayed 7 days and feels like we were there overnight, I have been camping more than 65 years and never saw a campground better than Buckcreek. Wish we could give Dan and his sons a 10 star. We will be back mid August. Thanks Dan
Just rented a site for the season. My family fell in love with this park. We have a site where the creek runs behind the camper. The sound is so relaxing. Sites are reasonably sized with trees and mountain laurel also had a flower bed around the one tree with landscape timbers. Hugh green field that dogs can play in. You keep it clean out of respect for yourself and others who let their dogs play there. The bath houses are immaculate, almost like home. The management are extra special people, christians to boot! Can't wait I owe get settled in. I'll let you know later if anything changes to the good or bad. I don't expect anything bad. Come on up and give it a look if you are looking for a very well kept and family camp ground. They have two swimming holes that are beautiful and of course fishing. Many area places to bust and Asheville is about 30 miles away. Hope to see you soon. God Bless.
I’ve been staying at Buck Creek for going on 2 years. I’m not sure what Melissa Silvers is talking about “doesn’t look like the the pictures” as she is correct. It’s 10x more beautiful in person. The pictures don’t even do it justice!! Dan and Justin work extremely hard to keep the place clean and well groomed. Stop by and see it for yourself!
Awesome Spots and pretty landscape! Two deep swiming holes that the kids loved and I did as well. It was deep enough for me to jump off the rocks and banks and go under without touching. Super quiet plac and most sites are on the river. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms were clean with showers! They do take discount club program cards like Goood Sam.
Love this campground. Clean and beautiful creek-side sites. Swimming holes and fishing creek provides hours of entertainment for kids and families. Dan was very helpful and friendly. I was impressed that he remembered us staying at his campground earlier in the summer.
We give it a 3 solely because of the beautiful creek. You do have to go down a rather steep bank to get to it though. The owner was pleasant enough contrary to some of the reviews we read. Didn't have wifi as advertised - unless he just didn't bother to give us the code. The sites are VERY close together. Nothing like having your picnic table right next to your neighbors sewage drain... We didn't do a campfire our last night because we were concerned about sparks landing on the pop out that was next to us. Not a campground we will visit again.
This place is beautiful! Campground is easy to access and 10 min drive from everything. That’s if u want to even leave the campground. Dan “the campground man” gave us the great information about trails and must “do”in the area.
An awesome adventure, a great family run RV Park in Marion, NC, Buck Creek RV Park is simply an outstanding vacation spot with a great creek running it’s length. It has a great pull thru section to park, WiFi, and very friendly staff. I recommend Buck Creek to all RV travelers who wish to come and ENJOY beautiful Western North Carolina. I will be back.
Highly recommended! Super friendly and flexible. Give them a call and ask for Justin. He offered us our choice of the available sites (we chose one by the creek) and told us all about the many natural attractions in the area.
Nice, shady and fairly level gravel sites that back up on the creek. The bath house, laundry, and office are all closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. The young man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.
Was able to get up to the Mountains and stayed at Buck Creek RV Park. Great location, good fishing and very well run. Dan is very helpful and makes sure that everyone has a good time. Highly recommend!!!
Third time staying here. Most serene park we have ever been to. Owners are great hosts. Highly recommend if you need to unwind for a weekend or a week or 2.
Peace and quiet!!!! WOW,
Dan was so helpful from the start. Very friendly. Enjoyed our stay!
Clean clean clean and beautiful site. #27 we stayed at.
Thank you Dan for the wonderful camping trip!!
Tom and Sandi
The best RV Park that we have stayed at. Lots of trees and shade throughout the park. The owner is great, friendly and full of knowledge about the best places to visit while in the area. This is our third time here and we have always great service.
Fantastic place to stay...great open park setting in middle and shady slips right along creek for rvs
We would rate it a 10 if possible. The grass is always cut and everything is neat. If you are looking for a place to relax, you will like this campground. The creek is very nice also.
We stayed at site 73 from May 11th to Aug 22nd and really enjoyed our stay. This property is beautiful and serene and Dan(the owner) and his family are kind and helpful. Definitely will return in the future!
Great clean creek side sites. Friendly staff.
This is a very good choice for an RV Park in the N.C. highlands. The place is clean, scenic, in a great location for surrounding attractions, and well managed. I highly recommend Buck Creek to anyone coming this direction.
Beautiful place. Room to move around and exercise pets. Dan is super helpful. If you need anything, he can do it or he knows who to get if he can’t. Great launching place for visiting all over the area.

GREAT campground!
We stayed at Buck Creek RV Park this weekend and absolutely fell in love with this park. There is a huge field that you can enjoy with your dog(s). The campsites are nestled along the tree lined bank of Buck Creek and are all shaded, the grounds are well kept and there are nice landscaping touches throughout. The owners are wonderful, he helped us get our camper backed in and even checked on us to make sure we were happy. One of the best camping experiences ever! This will definitely be a regular stop for us.
Fantastic place so quite and next to the river...beautiful place and wide open field
Very nice campground! John W
We stayed here this last year on two different sites. Both were excellent! This is a very well kept, clean and orderly campground. Staff were all exceptionally kind and helpful. No issues during our stays.
Clean, quiet, beautiful.
