Just a small nice place to pull over and walk the river bank. They have some benches along the water edge as well as some picnic tables and some grills.

Could use some more picnic tables. The parking lot is "paved" with golf ball size stones. Not good on the car. Nice view of the river

Lots of shade. This is just a gravel parking lot. It is right on the French Broad river. Great place to launch canoes and kayaks. It also has access to many trails.

Chill and quiet. Some bougie trout in that pond. Park outside the camp gate at the trailhead 10ft away for free and walk in. They don't care.

It could use more picnic tables. It says there are grills on website but I didn't see any. My grand did have a good time playing and walking a small trail. We'll go again planned next time. This trip was more of let's see what this is kinda stop

Its nice but right now they have construction on the opposite side of the lake that is pretty loud. Also if you walk too far down the hiking trail im pretty sure people live past the bridge so just giving you a warning.

Not a ton to look at in this area and the rocks in the parking lot fell like they'll damage your car, but it's really pretty up in that area. There are also trails that you can take from this area. We didn't have time to check those out though.

Not much room since the State got greedy and leased the upper area to a tubing company and the fish don't bite ! Lol

One of the many parks on the French Broad River, bridge construction and traffic noise prevents a 5 star rating. There are picnic tables and access to the river for boating, tubing, etc. One of many places people put in to float or paddle with multiple parks and landings for miles.

Parking lot needed some work. Aside from that, was a lovely view of the river. Didn't take long to catch a few fish either. Only wish I lived closer

We go fishing here sometimes, its very beautiful here. Even when its cold out! I dont even mind the bears that go through there. Walking trails and nature. Is all you need!

Every is good but need more bench and table and like everyone else aside need to get ground paved so it’ll be easier for the cars to drive and not ending up a flat tire

Right along the French Broad. The entrance is only wide enough for 1 car to enter or exit. Busy road getting into the park because it is right near the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Arboretum.

Crowded but it was a holiday. Great place to put in a kayak or canoe. There is limited parking.

I've only passed by here several times and live just 2 miles away but this is a great place for camping, fishing and canoeing/kayaking. Also, a great place for photography.

Love this park, I go here anytime I need to get away for a minute or two. I love walking in the woods through the trails here. Even when it rains and floods the entire place, it's a magical woods.

Loud car noise from road overpass. Mostly a parking lot and canoe/kayak/boat launch. Nice little Creek for kids, if you an ignore the noise.

They call it a creek . I would call it a river. Locals said the fishing was great . Bass,pike and trout multiple pan fish. Tubing and canoeing.

It's right on the French broad river. Allows access to the North Carolina arboretum. Great place to put in or take out, if your kayaking the river.

This is a surprisingly nice little park. It appears to be where locals come to hang out in their cars when they don't want to be at home, but everyone was friendly.

They added porta John's which is great. Very convenient for the river, the arboretum and Bent Creek Experimental Forest.

Too much commercial rafting/kayak traffic. Hard to get in and out of the park and the commercial companies are eroding the ramp/launch area where Bent Creek meets the French Broad.
