I been going there for 5 years. I never had a bad experience. Everything is super fresh. If there's a cut you want and don't see it, ask and they probably have it. I'm picky on chicken cutlets and what I get at the supermarket is terrible. What I get at Peter's is good and trimmed so much better for a great price. You have to try their premade meatballs. They can also vacuum seal meats. It's a bit out of my way compared to my local market, but if I want to make a good meal, it's worth it.

We were down with Friends last week, they have a huge selection of fresh meats...must try the pinwheel steaks...they were delicious! So wish they were not an hour away but ehhh what's an hour!

Peter's meats are of the highest quality. With a great selection of pork, veal, lamb, and beef. The homemade sausage is delicious, the veal tender and the steaks perfectly marbled. Want something for dinner but don't feel like putting all the effort in. Try his meatballs, just like grandma's. Or get a stuffed pork tenderloin, maybe a stuffed chicken roast. Want something on the high end purchase his dry aged steaks you will not be disappointed. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and if Pete happens to be there buy his cookbook and get it signed.

Pete’s market is my favorite Bronx butcher shop. The beef, lamb, poultry and rabbit are high quality. The workers are very accommodating and the owners are warm accommodating people. Since I had to drive in from NJ, I would fax them my order and it would always be ready when I arrived.

I drive 45 minutes every 2 or 3 weeks for the past 25 years to come to Peter's Meat Market. The meat is always the best and they are always a pleasure to deal with. In all the years I have never had a single problem. In my opinion they are the best butcher in NYC.

Best meat in New York. Great service they are extremely professional and they know their customers by name. There is usually a line of people waiting to get their hands on some of the best cuts you can ask for. They even do custom orders if you dont see what you want in their displays. If you've never gone here you really should you wont be dissapointed.
