We found this little off-the-wall butcher shop about probably about five years ago his name is Mike and he is fantastic. If you ever need the best quality of meat with the best price this is the place to go. He’s good conversation we enjoyed going in there to see him. We try to at least go in like maybe every two weeks or once a month but every time he is always the same so again if you need good quality meat and good conversation, go to John’s butcher shop, you will not regret it and his name is Mike

Might be the best steak I have ever bought and cooked for myself. Picked up three large sirloins yesterday and just cooked one for breakfast. It was so tender and flavorful, better than any grocery store steak in town. I can't wait to get some more.

been a customer for years, there is no better butcher; it's a nice experience and the meat is superior to anything anywhere else. There are so few old fashioned butcher like John's remaining and it's a real pleasure to support this place!

John's is awesome! Ground chuck for burgers is amazing! The bacon is excellent. Can't find better bacon, period! The steaks just can't be beat! I love the sausage as well. Let's just say you get what you pay for! I've never bought anything bad here. All is great! Keep up the good work! While the selection is limited, it's focused on top quality meat. I like being able to call in my order so I know I can get what I want as well.

My husband and I always get meat from here (fantastic quality / organic). But this time I ordered cooked meat for a party, because the butcher himself will cook your meat for a very reasonable price. Holy guacamole if I knew how good it was going to be I would have been ordering food for our events all the time. His brisket is literally the most tender brisket I've ever had in my life. All of the food was just absolutely fantastic, everyone was raving about the food. Even the presentation was awesome. These guys are awesome! Thanks again Mike!

I stopped in after my daughters softball game today to give it a try. I just needed a couple of good steaks to throw on the grill tonight. John....I think was fantastic!!! He handcut two Delmonico steaks for me we chatted a bit about exotic and game meat and sent me on my way. Well, I grilled those two steaks up today and I have to say it is some of the most tender and flavorful beef I have had in quite a long time. I will definitely be back!

Just purchased a family pack including steaks, burger. Chicken, and kabobs. Great price and the steaks i just pulled off the grill and eating them now. New york strips and sirloins and a few beef kabobs. Really great tasting steaks. I accidentally left them in a few extra minutes and they were still tender and tasty. Definitely going to do this regularly. Bye bye grocery store meats.

I've driven past this place for almost a year. Then about a week ago was walking to the dog park when I noticed a guy outside cooking on a grill. It smelled amazing! I asked him about it since I had my dogs I couldn't go inside but he took my order right then. About 10 minutes later a 1/4 lb burger with lettuce, tomato mustard and mayo was brought out to me. It was so incredibly juicy and fresh tasting. Best part it was at most $4. I have been back twice since then. I'm sad they are closed Sunday and Monday! Not only is their human options great they also sell cow femur bones for dogs and mine loves hers. It's a small family business that I will be supporting often!

Great place to go if you want a steak cut to order whatever thickness you want! Very friendly and has sausage and bacon and package deals on larger quantities. If you want your stop to be quicker you can call ahead and order what you want and it will be waiting with your name on it! Thanks for having a real butcher shop...

GREAT LOCAL BUTCHER!! Johns is the best butcher shop in Lutz. I've been getting my meats here for years. He has the freshest selections around. They also have burgers made to order for lunch. They are very good. It def. beats going to a fast food place during the busy lunchtime rush. I will continue to buy from them and support this local business.

Where do I even start. I’m pretty much sick and tired of going to local grocery stores like Publix and Winn Dixie and seeing how bad their meat section is. I found John’s Butcher Shop and decided to stop by. It’s amazing. It’s a small place and while there isn’t a million options, the options that are available are top notch. A lot of butcher shops tend to do too much, and that can sometimes lessen the quality control. I got 5 lbs of chicken breasts, 2 perfectly cut bacon wrapped filets, and 3 pounds of ground beef that was literally cut and grinned at that exact time for ultimate freshness all for 48 dollars. I actually looked up Publix and for the exact same stuff , I would’ve spent almost 70 dollars . And mind you it’s lesser quality too. I love supporting family businesses and I will be a customer for life.

I usually get my meat from the grocery store but I decided to try out a local butcher shop to see what that experience is all about. I went in to educate myself primarily, spoke with John who was awesome, left with 5 lbs of meat, and it was probably the best tasting that I can remember.

If you want the freshest, best meats for the best prices, John's is it. They take advance orders, smoke your order do everything to make you happy. No garbage in their meats! I keep returning to John's for the excellent selection. Although the case is not always stocked, they never tell me they are out of anything. Often times they have more than what is on display. They are prompt, polite and efficient. I can have anything wrapped any amount I need. I enjoy a soda while I wait, or I love calling my order in and they have it ready when I arrive! Thanks guys!

It’s a true butcher shop not many places do you see a pig being prepared on the counter. They are southern boys but they could work on their customer service skills a little bit better and how they respond to people
