Reviews of Michou Deli
The smells and the food in the place were incredible. It is definitely hard to choose what to order. We went with a sandwich and bread pudding, but we definitely have to go back and try more. The line wasn't too long, and they had several people taking orders which made it move quickly. There is definitely something for everyone, (even a few salads and some soup for those not eating carbs) :)
5 star deli spot without a doubt.. I had just gotten out of BEECHER'S
HANDMADE CHEESE next door, trying their delicious Mac and cheese... when my girlfriends cousin tells us to grab a bite at this deli. This got damn spot was so good, I had 2 sandwiches.. NO LIE! im a sandwich guy, I would want to think I know a thing or 2 about them... and this place was legit as hell! they got a lot of different flavors to pick from... and the staff was super friendly. LOVED THIS SPOT! STOP BY.. YOU WONT REGRET IT!
Unexpected Pike Place Market gem! Tourists will be looking for the original Starbucks, clam chowder, oyster bar, fish market, gift shop, but anyone hungry for excellent panini sandwiches, fresh deli salads, homemade soups, etc., Michou Deli is definitely worth a stop during lunch break; friendly, fast service; excellent quality foods, surprisingly good value for the portions & high level of quality. I rarely give 5*, so check it out! Support your local small businesses 👍😄
Beautiful selection of gourmet sandwiches. The fried chicken sandwich is rockstar! Coconut banana bread pudding was excellent as well. The asian noodle salad was good. A really lovely young man was super friendly and helpful behind the counter and checking out a personable experience as well. Definitely easy take away lunch, something for everyone Definitely going back!!
Love this Deli, unpretentious simple with lots of choices between sandwich, salad, pasta and even fried chicken !! Had half a tuna sandwich about $5 and a Thai cucumber salad. The sandwich was delicious the cucumber was full of water and soggy.
There are a lot of options here. The staff is some what friendly but there were only two of them. The food was good. I would eat here again. There isn’t much room for sitting so plan on grab n go.
Great deli and lots of choices to choose from especially with the snacks and treat. we were in the area and decided to drop by. we saw all the great reviews and decided to give it a shot. we were not disspointed. Prices are good and food is really good. Def recommend
So many choices and such wonderful smells. tried the salmon and detox salad on a recommendation. loved it. take your food across the street and walk straight through the market to the public seating on the roof overlooking the water with a view of the mountains.
Michou Deli is an excellent place to grab a sandwich near Pike Place. The food quality, price, and service are pretty good given that this is the premium tourist area of the city.
I had a roasted beef sandwich (heated like a panini, you can also have it as is) and it was quite delicious, especially love the warmly pressed and crunchy bread. Finishing off with a banana pudding makes the lunch a total delight!
There are a few seats inside but there are plenty of places to grab a seat in the park and Pike Place Market sundeck.
For a deli it’s pretty good, lots of choices to pick from! If you want a sandwich they have plenty of options and even sweets too. The fried rice ball was very interesting and delicious.
This is a great deli. It has become one of my go to places at Pike place market. They have quite a few options for vegetarians as well. The portobello mushroom sandwich is my favorite with a side of tofu.
Such a delicious and AFFORDABLE lunch spot! The sandwiches, pasta bakes, fried rice, and weekly dishes are spot on and always enjoyable. Never picked something I didn’t like!
Got the sierra as recommended by staff there and it was delicious!
Love the honest opinions when asked about the pastries as well.
100% recommend and would go back!
Amazing deli!! So many food options and everything is fresh! If you want any type of sandwich, this is your place. If we lived closer, I'd get lunch here daily! The Breakfast Sandwich was delicious as was the Italian.
The Peanut Butter Whoopie Pie is a great if you're looking to treat yourself!
This is a great spot and IMO overlooked / overshadowed by some other stuff in the area.
The sandwiches are on point - good variety, good quality, and perfect when they toast them on the panini press. A half sandwich in particular is an inexpensive bite to eat and easy to walk with and eat while you're checking out the market.
I'd definitely go back next time I'm in the area.
The sandwiches here are borderline pornographic. I didn't know what they meant when the sign said world class deli so I was like "yeah whatever, what even is a world class deli?" But one look made me want to try and tasting it shut me up for good. If you like sandwiches, you already love this place.
Best sandwich that I found in the area. 🥰 sooo good and great price! …
The sandwiches and everything else are delicious. This is the spot to go if you need a pretty quick bite at the market (and you can find your own seating elsewhere). Something for everyone!
I had the turkey bacon sandwich and it was absolutely fantastic. I recommend getting it toasted on the panini grill. It was pretty cheap too. Only $8 for a full sandwich which is comparable to subway these days. I would most certainly eat here all the time if I lived downtown.
A bit overpriced, although the selection of sandwiches and salads is good. The hot items seemed like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp too long (even early in the day), so I didn’t try those. The Nanaimo bar was good, if a little sweet. Be prepared to wait for service, it takes them a *long* time to get through the line, even with just a few people in front.
Amazing sandwiches and great selection. The best part is you can buy half a sandwich as well. There are other options like salad and soups. Our regular place to visit.
I’ve had the sandwiches and some various other deli items here a few times now. Paninis are on the cheaper side for Seattle but also cheaper on quality as well. Options are plentiful but so little meat or fillings and very dry. Salads and deli food are ok but with no discernible theme. Feels like they’re taking the approach that if none of it is super good they may as well have variety, which they do. The baked goods and desserts are great but unfortunately the regular food really detracts from the experience.
Simple place, reasonable food… nothing spectacular but just ok. Be prepared to be squeezed in the small place…
Best prices in the market. Great fast counter service. Delicious good. Love it.
Edit . A week later, and I still eat here everyday.
We bought a few things and shared. A sweet potato tart, Gorgonzola pasta bake, Thai beef sandwich, and two of the soups of the day. Everything was delicious. The seating area was really nice; I loved the light of morning coming through the window and being able to see the market across the street.
I cannot begin to say enough great things about this place. We live here in the Seattle area and every time we go anywhere near downtown or the market, we always go to Michou. First off, the prices are extremely reasonable which is important to our family, and hand-in-hand, the food is amazing. Really couldn't ask for anything more. Amazing sandwiches are there in full or half sizes. Amazing savory items of all different types as well as great deserts of a wide variety. Think we might head there right now.
We've been probably 20 times now, always amazing.
The tofu teriyaki sandwich is my favorite. The teriyaki seasoning has varied across my visits but at it's peak this sandwich is a 5/5
WOW such a find! For $10 I got 2 halves of different sandwiches (couldn't decide on 1) and a yummy pumpkin cheesecake brownie. Quick munch for walking the Market, bathrooms are difficult to get to but all in all great little place to have stumbled upon!
I love the individually wrapped bread puddings! It is almost like a large muffin.
I tried the lemon blueberry one. Blueberries were juicy with a tart lemony flavor.
I saw a browned butter with banana and an orange chocolate also!
I believe they will warm upon request.
Sandwiches were priced fairly with the line moving quickly. Many cookies and pastries available also!
I had chicken sandwich and that was great!!!!! Loved it. It is fresh and warm if make it grilled ( they will be making it for you). I will definitely check this one again on my lunch time .
Delicious and fresh sandwiches. Perfect spot to pickup a quick bite and enjoy the view.
the worker w curly hair who was working on jan 4, 2023 in the morning was very cute. they should hml🫶🏻oh yeah the sandwich i got was very good too. …
I've been going here for at least a decade and returned recently with my dad. Their food is always solid. Just be sure to arrive earlier since items do sell out.
Sandwiches are great. Italian grilled was great. Chicken fried rice was good too.
This is what I like about Michou. 1. Even though it is in Pike Place Market it is relatively affordable. ~$7 for a whole sandwich. 2. It doesn’t draw the same crowds as some of the other places in the market. Our last two visits were both at lunch time, Friday and Saturday and there was never more than a few people in front of us. 3. Everything we got was goooood. The Italian sandwich was good. The caprese sandwich was good. The salmon was good. The Nanaimo bar was good. The blueberry lemon cake slice was good. All good.
Assuming it would be busy and ravenous from all day travel, we ordered online and tried to time it with getting our rental car and driving from the airport. Ended up being about 15 late due to not finding parking, but I got a call saying the food was ready and they would even just run it outside to our car.
There was a line out the door so glad we ordered online. Despite us picking it up late the sandwiches were still fresh and delicious. Got a turkey bacon and Italian. Would come here again. Great food.
Great selection of sandwiches which can be brought as half or whole (ask for them to cut it for sharing). Toasted to order. Hand held dessert & Italian doughnuts near the register.
My favorite place in the market. Great for a quick lunch. They have $8 sandwiches and $4 half sandwiches. There is a large selection of entrées, salads, sides, desserts and so much more. They're all good.
10 am on a July Saturday and I was in and out with a hot fresh meal in hand in under 5 minutes. I got a half portobello sandwich, tomato and mozzarella salad, and irresistibly tempting baklava they had by the register. The sandwich was very filling and large for being a half size. I'll absolutely be stopping in here more often on my market trips
Excellent! My only complaint about this place is that I only got to eat 1 meal here before leaving town... They had so much amazing looking food that it’s hard to decide on something - I want to try it all! I could have easily come back here for several more meals.
Large sandwhiches alittle light on meat but still a great deal for those that feel starving. Large variety from vegitarian to meat centric.
This place is amazing! Their sandwiches are really good, you can also get their deli or hot foods which are pretty good too! Really great place to stop by a lunch, not a lot of seats but not a lot of ppl sit in to eat.
Personally I like their food! Tried their cookies, sandwich, and the mac&cheese+chicken. Located not too far from the first Starbucks store.
@chezabelll
Excellent sandwich. Turkey & bacon toasted perfectly! Try the "doughnut holes". Not too sweet. Perfect!
Great little deli. Helps beat the lines at all the overcrowded places around. They do nice sandwiches and half sandwiches too if you're like me. Ask for them to be toasted.
They don't serve coffee which is weird
This place is a total gem! Great sandwiches at even better prices. Totally worth a visit (or two!). Rarely ever any lines even on the weekend, which doesn't make too much sense but I will welcome! The Poblano Cheese is super creamy and very delicious. Definitely recommend if you want something new in Pike Place!
Delicious variety of mostly healthy salads and sandwiches. Really cheap, perfect service and really cute to sit. We came here twice in our 3-days vacation. Also many vegan dishes.
I can honestly say these were the best sandwiches I have ever had! My daughter and I shared the fresh mozzarella and my husband had the poblano beef, I think it's called, and it was incredible!
We loved this place! Delicious and reasonably priced sandwiches.
It is the perfect & fresh sandwich place in Pike!!
Delicious! What a great range, almost everything. Good breakfast with eggs and sausage. Wide range of focaccia which they toast and a really big range of salads (also pre-made). Thanks would be back!!!
Lots of sandwich choices, very convenient and comfort food. Priced fairly reasonably.
Believe the hype. I had the Sierra and got it warmed in the panini press and it's one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.
Only issue I had whatsoever is there were so many amazing looking things I wanted to try I had a really difficult time deciding!!
It's a popular place right in the thick of the market so just be prepared for a little wait but it's well worth it. This is a must stop destination if you're just visiting the area.
Super tasty sammiches (including several legit veggie options), yummy looking salads and pastries and pastas and classic breakfast items - will definitely be back to try more, great people behind the counter, extremely reasonably priced, possibly even slightly underpriced? Like, if everything was $1 more I would still think it was really reasonable, especially being at the market. Nice little counter area to eat at. Stop reading reviews. Just go already.
Fast service, friendly staff, great sandwiches, and the best prices for lunch at the Market.
Great variety of fresh sandwiches on wonderful tasting breads. They also have many side dishes & tasty desserts. Always seem to be well staffed with friendly & very capable employees. In my view one of the best bargains in Pike's Place.
if you love yourself you will order the crispy chicken
Ive only been there once and i had the portobello sandwich and its good!
Love their sandwiches! They're perfectly savory with a combination of a panini flat bread and meat / veggies!
One of the best Italian sandwiches I've ever had. Incredibly good and really cheap!
The sandwiches here are delicious! Really enjoyed the dolmas and pumpkin tamales as well. Michou's was a recommendation from someone local and it was well worth the trip!
Extraordinary place for such a touristy area. The prices were decent and you get a significant amount of food. I ordered the portabella mushroom and it was a heavy portion of enjoyable ingredients.
They have a variety of food, and the only complaint is that you have to go through the line to see everything, but if you don’t know what you want take the time to look at the selection.
Never miss Tomato and brie panini at this place!
Price is very reasonable and staffs are so nice.
Incredible bread and wonderful sandwiches, I'd recommend giving this a shot!
I go here often for lunch. I love it!! The staff are both quick and friendly. The sandwiches are amazing and so are the desserts. You should pay a visit if you get the chance. :)
Polenta, unreal. Salmon, perfection. Crispy chicken sandwich is a must-get. Salads are always fresh and delicious.
Customer service is amazing, both in person and not. A few weeks back I accidentally got sent home with someone else’s item/order and missing something I had paid for.
I emailed explaining the situation and they were the nicest, saying to come in and they’ll take care of me!! I never did get around to doing that, but the kindness is something I won’t forget!
EAT HERE!
Love this place! Sandwiches were super yummy and so was their dessert. Great place to go because you don't have to wait in such a long line as the other places to eat.
Love this cozy deli! The selection and their quality is hard to beat. The prices are incredibly fair as well- especially for how great everything is/looks. I love the bread they use for their sandwiches as well. Highly recommend choosing this place for takeout (due to the current quarantine).
Pro tip: I asked today what their hours are bc of the quarantine. They’re open 10am-5pm Monday- Saturday. And 10am-4pm on Sunday. Enjoy! :)
This place is not what you'd expect. They had beautiful sandwiches, but we opted for salads which were great. Quick, easy and delicious.
Little deli on the main drag of the market. Presentation is well executed with deli cases filled with piles of premade sandwiches and salads. Sandwiches can be placed in a panini grill to be heated or eaten cold. Bread tasted good, but filling/toppings were lacking. One thin layer of protein and cheese contrasted with bread that is a couple of inches thick does not make a great sandwich. Everyone in party of four agreed more meat, cheese and veggies would have made a huge difference. Ingredients and fillings are good, but overall it is underwhelming in quantity and execution. With so many choices in the area missing this place shouldn't be considered a significant loss.
Delicious sandwiches at a decent price. They have a lot of variety to choose from.
Great sandwiches, on what I can only describe as the perfect sandwich bread. So yummy! We ended up eating here twice in two days (for a 4 night trip). 🤤 …
Worth the wait on the line. Great food, great prices. I got enough food to last me for lunch and half a dinner for under $10.
The tofu sandwich was delicious. It had a soy sauce kind of taste that goes well with the textures of the bread and the tofu.
The vegetables--we got some of the broccoli, the carrots, and the Brussels sprouts. The Brussels were my favorite, then broccoli, but all the were seasoned differently and paired well with my tofu sandwich.
Lots of choices here and great prices. The food was good, I tried the caprese pasta bake, sesame chili tofu and Buddha salad + 4 donut holes (loved the orange blossom ones but need to eat them fresh). It cost $10 for all of that. Seating is limited. They don't clean off the side table either so it's not exactly the cleanest place but the food is good ! Water available and they try to compost items :) so an extra plus from me!
Best value lunch at pike place!
Great little deli place
Parking: Pay/Garage/Compact
Train/Uber preferred
My favorite place in the market for a quick bite! The sandwiches are delicious and they've got salads and sweets to go with them. There's so much variety, it's relatively inexpensive and they are so fast even with a line our the door.
One of the more underrated places in Pike Place market. Definitely where the nearby locals go for a simple but delicious, healthier lunch option. We were so excited in my office when they finally reopened, we planned an outing--calendar invite and all.
Their line system is sometimes chaotic, but hang on because the sandwiches (yes toast them!) are definitely worth it. The nanaimo bars are worth the indulgence as well.
Moved from the East Coast years ago , I've been always very spoiled when comes down to good food , especially sandwiches. So I struggled for awhile finding really good ones . This place is definitely one of those . Everything is super fresh , they make their own bread , customer service is excellent, prices are awesome for pike place and the super high quality of everything ( average of 8-10$ for food ) . Loved it ! Be back, thank you! Keep it up ! You're awesome!
Cauliflower garbanzo curry salad was superb. Very helpful, friendly staff . Extensive variety.
The storefront advertises that they carry vegan options, but that's barely true. None of their sandwiches are vegan, and they will not make a custom order without cheese. It's a shame because they looked really good.
They do have a lot of deli salad options. Many of those are vegan, so I guess that's what they are advertising on the storefront. Pretty tasty stuff that I got, but the sting of not being able to custom order a sandwich was disappointing.
I absolutely love the variety in this place. The sandwiches are huge for a small price. My kids had to share one, because they were plenty big. Great taste and good service. Definitely worth trying.
Amazing place with so many options and more than reasonable prices. Sandwiches were a little dry, but the bread perfect. Staff is friendly and very fast. Seating is limited. Definitely coming back. Thank you!
Husband and I shared 2 halves of different sandwiches and a large salad. We were so satisfied for lunch and for a very reasonable price. It was so tasty and can't wait to visit this place again. First visit for both of us since we were kids and first trip together to the states.
I've told all my coworkers and customers looking for a lunch spot about this place. From their sandwiches to their pies everything looks like it came straight out your gram's feed. I haven't had their sandwiches yet, but my go to is their pasta bakes that change periodically. In the colder times or when the line is way too long in the summer I opt for their soups that change daily. Always check the soup levels before you pay. Great thing about the soup is that you can skip the line and got right to the register and they even have dipping bread. Their chili lime wings are the bomb if you like a bit tang they appear to be dry fried and are nice and crunchy, but on the other hand their buffalo wings could be crunchier although the sauce is really good. The tonkatsu is so crunchy yet moist I wish they had it everyday if they had a katsu sauce I'd straight die. Overall take the time to look at this place I have yet to have anyone regret going their and my coworkers can tell you how many times I've urged them to go there.
Excellent breakfast, locally made sausages, and long strips of crispy bacon perfect
Waffles, flaky in house biscuits + wow what was that gravy ? We ate up , think the owner was in that morning, friendly and helpful
& affordable, this place was remodded just in the last little while, nice
We brought our own java , just enjoyable
Be in before 10 am to get best of everything
To Michou's: please be aware having enough to serve atleast in the morning is not only best if you intend to actually have adequate amounts , but says more than just s remodel would ever . We left empty handed at just 30 min past the morning opening,
Update : better breakfast been brought back! including those tasty links eggs were good french toast was there & the syrup to match yes !!
8/31 tasty smells & lines back out the door but plenty being stuffed back into the food cases , it is crowded @ pikes place cruise ships are returning , meals are ready & the espresso is being always made ready in seattle
The half sandwiches are pretty filling and pretty good. An extremely good value for under $5 to the point I’d get lunch here pretty frequently if I worked or lived nearby.
A hidden gem small shop with multiple options and great taste.
Michou is a convenient location deli with a wide variety of great looking food. Only complaint is that the lines take a very long time.
Pro tip: buy 2 halves of a sandwich when you first go. Let's you try two sandwiches and only costs an additional $0.50
Michou has been my go-to lunch at the Market for more than 10 years. The sandwiches and deli offerings are consistently great. Recent upgrades in equipment to meet increasing demand has not degraded their food quality, still delicious!
This is a great place to grab some bacon and eggs for brekkie. They weigh everything and you end up getting good value for the food. I saw a lot of Pike Place Market staff grab food here so it must be good!
This is one of my regular, weekly stops for breakfast or lunch. The panini selection is amazing and there are many, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options if that's your thing. There are so many choices at hand here, it will take a few trips to figure out which dishes are your favorites.
Amazing spot to grab a delicious lunch and go look at the water.
If you want a place that gives you quality, variety and doesn't cost an arm and a leg Michou's is the place to go. Their sandwiches are filling and delicious and are always a good bet. Their salads/pastas are tasty and are always good for a side.
Michou is a great option in the market with a variety of soups, sandwiches, pasta dishes, pastries and treats. You order at the counter as you go and pay at the end of the line. It's a great value particularly for the market and it's very doable to sample a lot different items and get an entire picnic to go here. They do sometimes run out of things, particularly eggs and potatoes during the breakfast hours, and customer service is sometimes a bit lacking, but the quality and price more than makes up for those minor issues.
I absolutely love this place! I come here to get food on my lunch from work, and even though it’s in the middle of the market, the line moves quickly. They offer a huge selection of delicious sandwiches, soups, salads, and prepared dishes. I like to get a bit of a few different things. Best thing is that the price is really good for the location and the quality. I highly recommend this gem! Try the polenta with pesto and garlic. 😊
One of my favorite lunch spots. Tastes fresh and one of the most affordable places around. A full sandwich will fill you up and runs under $7. I usually go for half a sandwich and grab one of their delicious sides: a full lunch for under $10!
What a find! With insufferable lines at most of the other eateries in the Pike Street Market, we found ourselves alone in this place. You can mix and match from the huge variety in their deli. All sorts of sandwiches, salads, and even fish and donut holes. We got the king salmon, some sandwiches and salads and had ourselves a bit of a feast. And the prices are surprisingly reasonable and affordable for food of this high quality at the market. Great alternative to the more well-known market eateries with the long lines. And you won't be disappointed!
Loved this place. What options. Great value for money. Tried the crispy chicken sandwich/burger, broccoli/bacon/grapes salad, chicken fried rice and some yummy sweet and sour chicken and finally buffalo wings. Everything was awesome.
Sandwiches were on point and a great price.
Great sandwiches and quick service. Cute little cafe
We split a whole Sierra chicken sandwich, an Italian donut and a couple of drinks, all for under $18. Sat on a curb at the park and enjoyed it all thoroughly. Two thumbs up from 60-something tourists from Florida.
Why the hell is it so hard to find a good deli in Seattle? Michou has a wide variety of awesome sandwiches that are reasonably priced and generous in portion with a good amount of meat. The bread and greens are fresh as well. Will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches!
Follow my Instagram @nikon.foodie! :)
Really amazing selection of awesome food. The sandwich I got was delicious and prepared quickly and prices are actually very reasonable!
A great place to stop in for a tasty, inexpensive deli sandwich and salad. Favorite selection: their crispy chicken sandwich and arugula/couscous salad. On busy days, service can be slow; go after 1pm to avoid the lunch crowds.
Solid deli with lots of options. Nothing spectacular
The deli has plenty of delicious snack, lunch, and dinner options. I would say the only reason this isn't getting a 5 is that it was a bit disorganized the day I went. Is that going to stop me from checking this place out again in the future? Absolutely not! If you're in the area and looking for a quick bite to eat, try it out. You won't leave hungry.
Had a portobello sandwich here today. Tasty and reasonably priced. It also has many premade salads. Highly recommend if you want a small bite.
I love Michou! They always have a wide range of options available. I usually get just a sandwich because I'm cheap when it comes to work-day lunches, but the sides always look delicious and my coworkers always love them! My favorite sandwich is the portobello, but they're all good! I've been there 6 or so times now and it's hasn't let me down yet! It's my Pike's Place lunch recommendation to out-of-towners if there are picky eaters in the group. Everybody can always find something they love!
Delicious, my go to for lunch when I work in the Market!
Lunch was so delicious! Staff handled the huge line so fast and friendly.
Michou is a deli with a wide variety of reasonably priced, tasty rotating grab-and-go and ready-to-order items with friendly, reliable service. They have house-made salads, pastries, paninis, topped baked potatoes, soups, and a small selection of hot dishes from around the world--among other foods!
It's all delicious, and the lines tend to be shorter than at some of the neighboring cafes and bakeries. There aren't many seats, so plan to take your food with you.
Great prices and awesome sandwiches. Tuscan chicken was very good and portioned well
Cheap and Underrated. Usually never a long line, if any at all. Never have paid more than $8 for a huge breakfast plate (Build your own style by Weight). Caught between Piroshki and Le Panier it is often overlooked. Lots of different choices, its my go to breakfast spot during my work week at the market.
I went here a few years ago and had the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. I had forgotten the name of the place. Just found it on google. I’m so excited. I’ll be going back very soon.
Tasty inexpensive sandwiches, salads and deserts for office workers and hungry tourists alike.
Staff are super quick and nice. If the piroshki place next door has a 30~40 minute line, this is a great alternative.
One of Seattle's Hidden Treasures! They have amazing different foods at amazing prices. If you go there for lunch, get there early! But don't let the line scare you off it moves fast!
Damn, so good and very reasonable prices.
Delicious sandwiches and snacks. I'd highly recommend the brown butter banana bread pudding (a pleasant mouthful). Also very reasonably priced!
Best deal in the market - delicious food, great prices, generous portions. Haven't tried something I don't like. Even things that are very different - fried rice, BBQ chicken - are super great!
We work at Pike Place Market and often get our lunches from here. Great food and staff. Us at DrinkingStraws.Glass highly recommend this place! Be sure to stop in next time you visit Seattle.
They always have affordable food and friendly staff. I predominantly eat breakfast here Monday thru Friday while at work and it is always amazing and they are good at remembering the regular customers so they make it easy to get in and get out with what you need and they have a variety of good foods to choose from
Michou is a great little deli located in the Pike Place Market area. Their sandwiches are really tasty as are the deli items. For a under $3 you can get a 1/2 sandwich. When combined with a fresh piece of fruit from the market you have yourself a great culinary experience for under $4.
I would highly-recommend Michou. Sometimes the lines can be long, but it is definitely worth the wait. I work in the area and eat at Michou's at least a couple of times per week.
Outside of donut tasted like fish.. I'm not sure if it was intentional but def not my taste. sandwich was ok
It was one of the best deli sandwiches i have ever had, i had the turkey panini sandwich. So flavorful and even their desserts were yummy.
An awesome quick, delicious and inexpensive meal downtown and at the market. They have so many options ranging from sandwiches (grilled thank you!), soups, deli case salads and Italian entrees, desserts and pizza. Service is always very friendly too.
Great place to taste different types of sandwiches
Lots of sandwiches, a few daily soups (always a veg option I believe), and a variety of food like pastas, veggies (roasted Brussel sprouts for example) and grains to eat. As a vegetarian I can always find something to eat there. The seating is a little limited, with seating counters at the front and the back of the shop.
Reasonably priced good sandwiches in downtown
Sierra chicken sandwich was delicious. Roasted brussel sprouts were perfectly salted and their tomato grain soup hit the spot. Appropriately priced as well. A lunch for two was $16
Got the Tuscan chicken. Good, not great.
Delicious! I got a half Crispy Chicken toasted and a diet Coke. I wanted to eat more but ugggh gotta same room for the rest. Also the chick with the yellow hair was smoking hot.
I have been trying to remember this place. Found it years ago, soooooooooo delicious. used to stop in after class once a week. Never even bothered to look at the name of the shop. I was so focused on getting one of their amazing sandwiches. Yummy sides too. Maybe its nothing too fancy, idk but it was really good and I was sad when I forgot where the shop was.
Gets busy during lunch time. I love this place. Fresh salads and scrumptious sandwiches. Pasta dishes. A really great selection, so many choices!
Looking for an affordable one stop sandwich shop to feed the whole familly or group?
Michou's is the spot. Kind of like a Denny's of the Pike Place Market.
...The dream of the nineties is alive in their bread...
Friendly staff and fast service. The sandwiches were great. If I had to say something bad, the biscuits that were in the tiramisu were a bit soggy. Other than that, it was really good.
Seemingly a hidden gem among popular market locations, Michou delivers no shortage of delicious sandwichs, panini-style pressed. Most meant to be warmed, the Italian can be taken as a cold option. However, aim for the Thai beef, smoked salmon, or any other of the flavorful combinations.
If you're more into salad, that's an option too -- by the pound, or less, of course. There are also side dishes and desserts to finish off with. The drink selection is more or less relegated to the cooler by the register, thus a bit small.
Good for lunch, you should be able to sate yourself for less than $10 -- definitely one of the cheaper lunches available in Pike Place Market.
And, if you have to, Piroshky Piroshky is just out the door...
We found this place while walking through the Market just as it opened.
It had a great selection of freshly made, quality items for breakfast and lunch..
It would recommend it and come back anytime we back at Pikes Place Market
I need a food. A complete food. But what food? Maybe a little of a few? Kale cesar, gnocchi, cucumber salad, and hey, why not some Korean meatballs! ...that's how it goes. It's a deli counter and not one for the indicicive. Hot food is by the register, so just peek that way first, cause it's often bomb. My lunch 3 days out of the week at least.
I came by this place by accident and very glad I did. Long line yet I was able to move right along and get some great soup and couple slices if delicious bread. Very good five stars
A large selection of sandwiches and other specialty items that all look delicious. Only visited the one time as I was passing by Seattle I could easily go there for lunch everyday and have a different item every time.
I've had food at Michou a number of times and here's what I found:
1. The food is very oily and salty
2. The place smells of oil and grease
Michou does need to address these two key areas of concern if it wants to climb into the 5 star ranking.
Best paninis in Seattle and great variety of foods to boot. Prices are more than reasonable and you can mix and match different half sandwiches + various salads.
Got to try it!!! Tasty and fresh!
Excellent eclectic selection to satisfy anyone's tastes. I like how half a sandwich costs about half the price of a whole sandwich. Tasty food. Good price.
Loved the Tuscan chicken sandwich.
A friend recommended this place to us and it did not disappoint.
Their panini are delicious and cheap (around 3 dlls for half- they're big). This is the kind of place for grabbing a bite and get going. Not a pretty spot to sit down and relax.
If you like a good sandwich, that is quality, then you will overlook the price because this Witch is BUSSIN
A fantastic local deli that is totally under-rated at the market! Great food at a great price! Check them out!
Really cheap and delicious eats for lunch! Despite being located in the heart of Pike Place, the walk through the numerous tourists is so worth it.
One of best lunch places in downtown. Fantastic sandwiches, fresh hot and cold food, and soups. A frequent stop in my lunch rotation.
Fantastic sandwiches. Was great to grab and go down by the water and enjoy a sunny Seattle day!
Huge selection fair prices the sandwiches are a great option and they'll toast them for you
Fantastic little deli by Pike market and waterfront Seattle. Good sandwiches. Have plenty of time to spend. It gets busy...
Their sandwiches are to die for. Absolutely delicious. Plenty of side options. And my favorite...they have vegan options!!
Their Turkey Bacon Sandwich is to die for. Truly the best deli in town!
The sandwiches were sooooooo good
Excellent sandwiches for reasonable prices. All their desserts looked really good as well.
I eat here alot , they have different rotating dishes like macaroni ( cold) fish, potato salad, tamales, sandwiches , delicious food
Amazing choices and flavor! One stop shop for everything you would want for dinner/lunch/dessert. Definitely coming back!
Really good panini sandwiches and stuffed grape leaves. Not so good canele or blackberry cheesecake (at least the canele was inexpensive).
good food, great prices, truly in the spirit of the Market. Nutella cookies for $1 are a facemelter. Wish i had found them sooner!
I'm here now. Great food! Had half of a Sierra with dolmas. Wife had palento with a salad. Very reasonably priced. Don't miss this place!
So many sandwichs to choose plus more.
Great cozy lunch stop (emphasis on "stop") for a quick bite. Unique, flavorful and affordable.
They get busy for a reason. Discover why.
Good spot to go for breakfast in the morning when everywhere else is packed, good food, plus a hidden courtyard for those who can find it.
The food is excellent and there's a ton of variety. If you don't go during the right time of day you'll have quite the wait.
Amazing food and nice prices!
Excellent soups, sandwiches and sides ! Any time I'm in Pike Market I come here !
Excellent food. Stumbled across this place while visiting, highly recommended. There's a lot of choice and it all looks great.
Really great deal for the money. Quick, polite, yummy, and most importantly - cheap! Be prepared to eat in the public courtyard, or standing in the mezzanine.
Delicious baked potato and mozzarella grilled cheese. Perfect for cold weather and definitely will be back.
Love the sandwiches (best), fried rice, creamy spinach kale and desserts.
Excellent food, above caliber, for take out. One of my favorite foodie spots at the Pike!!!
Great deli with dishes that taste great and homemade! Would recommend for anyone visiting the warf and is feeling pekish.

Great, affordable sandwiches. And salads and other things, too. Plus,a rotating selection of desserts.

Great food options. Fantastic staff puts up with utterly clueless tourists. I hope they tip well.
Great sandwiches, numerous sides to pick from, worth waiting for if there's a line!
Amazing sandwich and the bread was so good, sweet but not too sweet.
Great quality for the price
Love the salads and sandwiches. Go there regularly. Fresh and good price.
Great sandwiches, delicious doughnuts, and inexpensive. Highly recommend!
Love their tofu teriyaki and portobello mushroom sandwiches.
Eat the tuna fish sandwiches! Not well run but the tuna is great.
Fresh and delicious sandwiches, salads and desserts. Very reasonably priced.
Best sandwiches in the city!! Even worth squeezing through the hordes of tourists for
Friendly staff, takes Apple Pay, great sandwiches, not too expensive, $4 for half sandwich.
Amazing sandwiches, and friendly service. Good place to grab a quick bite.
Best place for a quick bite in the market. Skip the lines at piroshky, panier, beechers: the food is better here.
Short line. Delicious food. Super cheap. Can’t beat it!
Always a delight to have the zipole😍 …
Fast and friendly.
Very affordable. Good roast beef sandwich, great desserts!
I reallly enjoyed the sandwich / soup bread and the wide selection.
Everytime I come here I have to get a sandwich. They're so yummy

Love the paninis and the eggs for breakfast way delicious!
Food is delicious, great selection, and reasonable prices
Really nice place! Good products, and for a fair amount of price. I definitely recommend this place!
Reasonable price for lunch, but food isn't to rave about.
Amazing place for pocket friendly meals. Lots if variety available.
Quick and healthy lunch options. Very limited seating
Only thing not to like is the even more limited seating since renovation. But otherwise a regular stop.
Great sandwiches and soup, and VERY fast too!
Want to go back and try more soon. Good prices! Everything looks good!
