We went there today because we read the newspaper article. We got a Reuben and George’s Special. We also got potato salad. I have to say that my first bite of potato salad took me back to my childhood. It tasted exactly like my mom’s. Oh my gosh I’ll be back for more. What a wonderful little establishment. A must try!!

I got the ham and turkey on sourdough, potato salad and ham and potato soup. Everything was good. This is a European store with items you may find at other stores. The soup was lukewarm I think because I came 15 min before they close. The potato salad wasn't bad, it had eggs and dill in it. My total was over $30 so they ain't cheap. I may go again for work lunch.

Always have a great experience when we go to the deli. A frequent spot to pick up something tasty. The lunch offerings are great and it's a very popular spot. Sandwiches are substantial and filling. Soups are tasty and filling . Their offerings of meat is expansive from ham hocks to a variety of sausages. Their specialty sausages, sardines, and chocolates are staples.

For years this place has been a go to place when I need my fix of real Polish food. The meats selection is awesome and mostly home made, the sandwiches are fantastic and you can get all sort of other yummies from frozen pierogi, to Polish beer to desserts. Worth a visit :)

Honestly makes me so happy this place is here. I was born and raised in the UK, but my family is Polish and so this is a taste of home, it's comfort food and makes me think of my grandparents. To be a 10 min walk away from a proper Polish deli, one with amazing house made sausages and smoked meats such as kabanos brings me joy!!

Great little multicultural deli that has a long history in Seattle. Can be challenging to park here (out front) but we pop in and out in the middle of the day and calling ahead helps. Excuse me but where did you learn and get this recipe for a hot pastrami. A hot pastrami has always been served with cheese and spicy mustard, but not here. Does it matter, does it make a difference that they put other stuff on their sandwich? ABSOLUTELY! My taste buds were treated to a completely new experience with having peppers and onions on there, now I know why there are so many rave reviews and I’m going to have to try this addition at home. I really liked how this really is a tiny place but does everything so well. 3 ladies working behind the counter, all nice and super helpful. My order came out exactly as asked for. Want a hjnt? The potato salad was sold out. A local in the shop said try it, the ladies in the back were already making more, congratulations you just found my new favorite potato salad. I also got a chicken panini with pesto, equally as great. Sorry I didn’t grab any photos, my bad, next time maybe I’ll remember to put the sandwich down and take a photo to share.

Great Polish deli on Seattle. This place is tiny so expect a line outside. Inside you'll find a variety of polish pantry staples- condiments, candies, pickled things. There is a cold case with meats and cheeses too. They have frozen pierogi for sale as well, just ask for it. They also make sandwiches to go!

It's a great little deli that carries a good selection of Polish food, deli meats and cheeses, and offers sandwiches. The food here is great quality and it's great to have a Polish store in the middle of the city. Service is good, but be careful for expired products. Some things have been sitting on the shelf for a while. They will be glad to give you samples of the different meats and help you make a selection. Love the smoked pork loin cold cuts here.

Check expiration dates!! My husband got sent home with an entire Farmer's cheese block today that I was going to freeze and use for Christmas or in the future for Pierogis that pretty much has "best by date of 11/09 :(. It's Nov 5th!. I know I can go past this date a little but I expect sealed things to last longer. He should NOT have been sent with such large amount that expires soon. Now I feel rushed to cook with this plus eat it within the next month and we bought an entire $18 block of Farmer's cheese. Please don't do that to customers! Kabanosy sausage are VERY greasy, I've had kabanosy from 4 different stores in US and this might be the most greasy kabanosy I've ever tried. This might be due to the fact that they have NOT been smoked? How can kabanos not be smoked?? What makes it a Kabanos is the fact that it's a smoked sausage! I don't have a smoker! He bought 3lbs of it because we used to buy it in California, they are simply cooked so what am I supposed to do with this now?. I'm confused about what my husband arrived with. We are used to Polish stores on both coasts and I'm 100% Polish, I know what these should look like, but I'm thrown for a loop. Rest of the products he came back with were great (canned beets, sauerkraut, cookies, dry soups...all our favorite) but we live far, I can't go back with the sausage or the Farmer's cheese to replace them so am pretty disappointed as to what he got sent with and was VERY excited he stopped by the store while in Seattle. Advice for customers: check dates on packaging and double check what you're picking up!

Friendly and efficient, the staff here can get you what you need (and you need decent hot dogs for a change). The sandwiches are excellent and I appreciate being able to get my European candy fix without shipping costs. Call ahead of you need more than 6 servings of something and they will happily make an order up for you. They set us up nicely for our wedding.

Hey great sandwich. Got to knock off one star though. Put a dollar in the tip jar when I ordered. Then gave a $20 bill for a $12.05 order. Judy the cashier gave me back $17.95. Come on...cover the nickel and give me back $18.00. While I waited for my sandwich she gave a free cup of soup to another customer while they chatted. A gal in back finally brought my sandwich out. Not that big a deal but now I have a bunch of change in my pocket. Maybe the next time I come in I won't tip ahead of time and just throw my change in the jar. BTW nobody else tipped. Maybe it's not something done there. Great sandwich though.

I love George's so much!!! They have the best sandwiches you can get. I am sick over the redevelopment of the block and sincerely hope they are able to find another location. It is like walking into another world full of delicious meats and all the pickled wonders you can think of. Really lovely staff as well!

There are inexpensive but great sandwiches on a variety of breads. There's sausages and cured meats and the mild house made sauerkraut is really good. You can't really eat your sandwich there there's no seating it's about the only significant downside but the small size of the place probably makes it easier to have such great prices.

Saw this deli listed on best delis in every state and I can walk here from the office so I tried it out. Roast beef, cheddar on rye with the usual lettuce, etc. and it was really good. I meant to order a half but ended up with a whole. Half of it was filling enough for lunch, I cut the remainder in half for a snack before heading home and finished it later at home. Every bite was delicious! Very friendly people with great products. Go check them out, you won't be sorry.

This place is insanely great, we've been coming here monthly for years. It's the best deal on Kielbasa in Seattle. My GF and I eat for days on one loop, including sending some to our aging neighbor. Thank the Gods George's is within easy walking distance from our home. We truly love this little deli.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because the sandwich tasted great... However, the employee didn’t wear their mask correctly the entire time I was there... including while they made my sandwich :/ Their mask wasn’t covering their nose while they took my order and they pulled it down to their chin as they prepared my sandwich. Not to mention, I didn’t see them wash their hands or put gloves on before touching the food. Please please please follow the health codes!! They’re in place for a reason. You know better. I only ate the sandwich because I was famished and stubborn (paid good money for it!).

Best sandwiches in town, hands down. It's a little local German deli where you can't go wrong. The Hot Rueben is my favorite, but anything you get you will love. The sandwiches are really big, enough for most people to split. The sandwich wrapping paper keeps bread fresh and dry, even the next day. I haven't had it yet, but the thick cut bacon (you tell them how thick you want it) looks amazing. Bottom line, if you want an amazing sandwich, come here.

Great little Polish oasis in the city. Such a variety of deli meats & sausages, dried, cured, and canned detectables along with assorted sweet goodies, too. They pack a LOT of stuff into a VERY small space. My favorite is the sandwiches! The rye bread is fantastic.

Good food and service at a good price. Located on Pill Hill on Madison, it was a short walk from Downtown. Small storefront packed with tons of eastern European merchandise and meats. Here's how you get your sandwich: walk in, get in line, choose meat & cheese, pay, wait, get your sandwich and walk back to the office or to a local part and enjoy. they are pretty quick. Ingredients are fresh and piled high. For $6, it's a good deal. The people behind the counter are friendly and efficient. No frills, family run establishment. Give them a try and you'll be back for more.

Small place easily crowded. Fresh deli meats. Homemade sausages and sandwiches made while you wait. Many great candies and cookies imported from Poland and Germany. Reasonable cost. They take EBT cards. No steps but often crowded so access by foot recommended. Small doorway. Try their canned and jarred foods. Unusual. I saw European mushrooms in glass jars not found in our area.

This is a genuine Polish deli that makes its own sausages, has a decent selection of cold cuts, and other products direct from Poland. It's a very small place, so it can get crowded, but there is a lot of interesting food here. We spend a month or more in Poland every year, and you can buy a lot of products at George's that you typically find in shops in Warsaw. It probably isn't the friendliest place to shop, but if you're looking for authenticity, this is it.

Authentic Eastern European deli, with great sandwiches, grocery items, etc. Friendly! Only reason for minus 1 star: it's tiny and very cramped when busy, which is a lot! But the customers know this, and so most are very patient. Also - no parking in front of the shop on weekdays 3-7 PM (no parking lot).

Update: Still coming here. Still the best simple sandwiches ever. Solid deli spot and incredible sandwiches (and this coming from a self-proclaimed deli sandwich hater). More than ample volume of ingredients carefully nestled between soft, chewy bread- one half would have been sufficient for an average size person's lunch, but nobody likes a quitter. Friendly, helpful owners/staff and also patrons. Will definitely make a point to return (if only just to try all the meats). Make sure to impulse grab yourself a pepperoni stick before you pay for your 1999 priced sandwich (sub $7?!? Unheard of these days).

This is my #1 go-to store for deli, sausages, and kabanosy (thin link sausages)! Sausages are freshly made right there (I guess on the back of the shop), look, smell, and taste like nothing else you've ever experienced! Keep up the good work you do and Na zdrowie!

(Translation) Super fresh sandwiches with so much pastrami or roast beef that you certainly won't need another meal of the day. The employees were also very friendly and accommodating.
