We both lapped up this southwest chicken tortilla soup. 😋 This has been our best Muffalette on this trip. The Roasted hardwood smoked salmon Ruben marble rye bread with Apple and cabinets sauerkraut, spicy thousand Island dressing, and baby Swiss cheese was a little too fishy for us so not to our taste, but salmon lovers would enjoy. Everyone was so friendly and took great care of us, especially Tina. Thanks

Listen, I’m guessing you probably got here like I did: You’re from out of town but freaking hungry and you want a sandwich. You’ve searched “sandwiches” in Google maps and found the first one within walking distance with five stars. If you’re a sandwich lover, you’ve just made the best decision of your stay in NOLA. Don’t be discouraged if the entrance isn’t obvious. Yes, it’s on the second floor of an office building, in like a food court. But the office building is real modern and super nice, and being inside is a nice break from the street. In line I was getting excited. I could see and smell the food and it was torture waiting the 3-4 minutes it took to get through 5-6 customers in line in front of us. A lady behind us heard me talking about my barely contained anticipation and assured me I had made the best possible choice. I’m that guy - especially when it comes to sandwiches - so I always ask. What’s popular? What do you like? A woman behind the counter, the owner I guess, I don’t know her name (Welty? 🤷🏻‍♂️) so I’ll just call her SweetnSassy, overheard and gave me a rundown of her hot sellers. Confirmed for me that the French Dip was what I wanted. SweetnSassy was a doll and asked us where we were from. I said, “Is it so obvious we’re not from NOLA?” and she popped back with “Sweetie if you were from NOLA, this wouldn’t be your first time at MY restaurant.” 😂 She was right. I’m only here a couple days but I’m going back. This damn French Dip sandwich SLAPPED. It was easily the best one I’ve ever had I’ve ever had, and I know what the heck I’m talking about. Not only was the food 🔥, but she had every conceivable sauce or condiment you could want on a tray next to the tables. You did good, fellow sandwich soul. You found your favorite spot in the city. Now go pay the lady and then come back and write her a better review than this one.

Welty's is a little hard to find but worth the effort! I was wanting a real Muffuletta sandwich and saw that Welty's served them. They know how to do it right! The sandwich was full of salami, ham, cheese, and the olive topping was perfect! I got a half-sandwich with a salad, which was more than enough for me, and I really like to eat! I will definitely go back to Welty's on my next visit to New Orleans!

My wife and I were looking for a deli and lucked out by finding this place. It's in the food court on the second floor of an office building. The food and service is fantastic! We ended up going back a second day in a row before heading to the airport. If I worked in this building, I'd be eating here everyday. We'll definitely be coming back when back in town.

Some of the friendliest service in all of New Orleans. The Muffaletta was everything I've read about and more. The homemade lemonade and cookies were delicious. The chocolate chip cookies with the perfect soft texture.

Owner is super nice. We were told by a local to hit this place up. Their on the second floor of the building, they just moved not long ago. Their food is SLAMMIN' we got a hot muffalata and it was perfection. Best sandwich of the trip by far

Highly recommended. Local secret. Not on street - on 2nd floor of office high rise. Muffuletta - earned top 10 in city - crazy good - and enough for 2. Chicken curry salad - top class. I was one of only a few tourists they get - packed with hungry regulars it was. Go for it!

Great prices. Daily lunch specials. Portions are huge. Short wait for food. As I was waiting for my togo order, I was eyeing everything passed out to diners eating in and literally every thing looked amazing. From what I saw, I would definitely try the salad next and I don't even eat salads.

What service and great food!! Welty's was highly rated and close to the WW2 museum so it matched all our needs. We arrived less than 40 minutes to closing and got the best service. Menu, specials, sides and drinks were explained. The muffaletta was HUGE, delicious and was also our dinner it was so much good food. The dipped sandwich was also wonderful. The breads, meats and service were the best we've had in the city. The staff checked on us several times, chatted and were super friendly to all the patrons. Even when we left and someone was coming in with just minutes to closing they were helping her with same courtesy. 5 5 stars PLUS..

This place is great! I came in at the height of lunch and had my food in less than 5 minutes of ordering. Staff was great and super responsive. The curry chicken salad was awesome. Creamy on a bed of mixed greens with a nice vinaigrette tossed in. The combo of flavors is nice!

The muffalletta was huge. Tasty with tons of meat piled on high. The bread was toasted perfectly leaving it slightly crispy but still soft. I would only say that ratio wise the olives needed better representation. The sweet tea was also good tho a bit bland for me.

We came here from our Airbnb next door for a quick bite and fell in love with this spot. The lady that took our order at the counter was so funny and nice, I think it was the owner. She gave us free coffees after she found out we were nurses that dealt with covid patients in the thick of the pandemic and then bumped our order to the front of the queue when she realized we were in a hurry. Small business is the best, and these are the sort of interactions I live for...people helping people. Anyways the food was fantastic, the bread on my sandwich was so fresh and the homemade pesto was to die for. Our iced coffees were perfectly balanced and didn’t require any sugar at all, one of the best iced coffees I’ve had honestly. Super impressed overall. Don’t skip this place!!!

Ok foodies so before the drag queen of New Orleans (the one from city hall) .. puts another mask mandate on us.. hurry on over to Weltys deli and catering 336 camp st and EAT ANYTHING FROM THE MENU!!! The daily specials are wonderful!! The price is quite fair and the portions are easily enough to share ( just be sure whoever you share with gets something else) you won’t be disappointed!!! Chef’s daily entries are simply spank yo mama delicious!!! Don’t just read the menu get to down to the CBD to Weltys deli and catering and order something!!

Full service deli with tons of selections. They are only open for lunch so that tells you they do send mean business during that time. Business in that time. I got a club sandwich and Creole potato salad that were divine. I believe those plus thetwo Pellegrino sodas came to a total of $21. I'll be back.

Favorite lunch spot downtown. Sandwiches, salads, soups and entrees to fit everyone's needs and a daily special for each too. I can't get enough of them I must say. The level of consistency is through the roof and I've never had a bad dish a single time. Pretty sure I've come close to eating the entire menu and a large portion of specials. I just need to talk my workplace into letting them cater our events.

If you go and there's a line, wait!! It's worth it! They are fast, efficient, and the food is outstanding! Check the board for their daily specials... The portions are quite generous and they have an array of sauces and extras to dress up your sandwich or salad... Best time to go: 11am for lunch... I've not been for breakfast, yet... Hopefully, I can indulge soon!!!

I am a regular at this family-run establishment. I have never had a meal there that has disappointed me! The portions are so large that a friend and I often split one entree and are very content. They have delicious, high-end daily specials and their regular daily fare is also superb! Some of my favorites lately have included the roasted pork loin with garlic mashed potatoes and the shepherd's pie, but their asian chicken salad, roasted chicken salad, gumbo and sandwiches are also wonderful. It gets a little noisy and busy during the business lunch time but it is worth the noise and the wait. If in a rush, order it over the phone and it will be ready for you when you get there. The owners are great people and the staff are very helpful. One of my all-time favorite lunch spots in NOLA!

We stumbled on to welty's by accident today. It was a wonderful accident! We were greeted like family and it was all uphill from there.. I ordered the trio salad. Tuna, chicken, and curry chicken salad on a bed of romaine with eggs and tomatoes. It was a huge portion , and I didn't do it justice.. curry chicken is my new favorite! My husband got the Reuben and it looked amazing. And since there was no sandwich left I'm gonna assume that it was indeed amazing! Sometimes when you order soup and salad you leave a place hungry.. not here you don't.. the tortilla soup looks great! All in all it was a wonderful experience and the next time I'm in the neighborhood we will certainly be back!! Thanks, from slidell.

Food was delicious and very quick! Deducted one star just for the noise level. Their system is to call out your number when your food is ready and when 2 or more people don't hear their number the first time, the servers behind the counter are forced to yell very loudly to try to make sure people can hear their order being called. That does not make lunch time conversation easy. :/

I LOVE WELTY'S. I was there in November and stayed right next to Welty's. My wife and I needed a quick bite on our way out, so we decided to stop in. Little did we know it would be one of the highlights of the trip. Sounds crazy, maybe, but it's true. The city of New Orleans is awesome and Welty's puts it over the top. After the first lunch we had there, we tried to get it again on a Sunday but they are closed on weekends since it's in the business district. So, Monday we made it a point to go get it again and it was equally delicious. I wish I knew where they got the turkey from because it is the best turkey I have ever had. And then combined with the melted cheese and croissant - you can't beat it. I've now joked (or maybe it's not a joke) with people that I will find flights with a layover in N.O. so I can catch a cab and go get Welty's. "Welty's me."

Welty's, also do Really Good Catering for Meetings or Special Occasions. Welty's is One of my Favorite Lunch Places in the CBD Area.😀

Compliments to the Chef. Friendly staff and quality food for a reasonable price make this restaurant a must-go while in NOLA. I have to admit I find myself checking their website daily to see what surprises have been crafted in the kitchen. Their daily Specials are a great refresher to the mundane subs and salads that seem to pop up around noon at other restaurants throughout the week. I have yet to see a special repeated, even to my own dismay, so for anyone who might make Welty's a regular stop, you will never grow tired of what's on the menu.
