1st time here... one of our Local Jeep Club (CCW) recommended this place. Me and my son totally loved it. The food was delicious, the ladies where so nice to suggest what could I order and telling me what was their best plates. Also loved the 80's to early 90's vibe, seeing their toy collections and games brought me lots of memories, just to see some toys that i had or wanted when I was a little girl got me a bit sentimental too. LOL It was a great 1st experience, I will definitely go back.

Saw this place while driving by and just had to try it. Ordered the brisket platter. Phenomenal. Got half traditional/ half burnt ends. SO good! The cheesy grits were different than I’m used to, but I really liked them with the whole corn (and they had a touch of horseradish I believe?). If I were local, I would have taken some smoked and breakfast sausages home. I didn’t eat in, but it looks like a great little spot to hangout.

I had a craving for meat pies and luckily this was the first place that popped up on DoorDash. Not only did the meat pie hit the spot, but the other items we ordered were delicious and plenty of food! I had the pulled pork plate with jambalaya and andouille mac, and the husband got The Divorce (pictured). We were impressed and definitely had leftovers. Can't wait to try the gator balls, boudin, and cracklins... Only so much food you can order for one meal.

absolutely amazing! service was great and the food was everything we were hoping for while searching for authentic Louisiana cooking(vacationing from Florida) the corn grits by themselves would have satisfied us... so delicious. My other half had the Brisket. Superb. I was on a hunt for perfect Boudin and I found it here!

What great luck finding this gem! 1st time in New Orleans and 1st food experience. Excellent food Excellent friendly service! Nothing like being called baby to make you feel welcome. Plus the cool vibe with all the pinball machines and Kiss memorabilia and of course my favorite was Dolly Parton pinball. The rain tried to dampen are trip but this really brightened it up. Now I need a nap from all that good food!

3 stars for the reputation. I went in last week around 7 to get some food to go. I called to order ahead but I kept getting a busy signal, I tried 3 times every ten minutes. I walk in and there are plenty of people sitting down finishing their meals, but when I walk to the counter to order I waited for 15 minutes at the counter as workers were walking around me. Not one person acknowledged my existence. I'll give them a pass since they were fairly busy (there were like 30 jeeps in front for a club thing I guess) and i'll try them another night. But not a good 1st impression so far.

I usually don't leave reviews but the food is tres bon indeed! The meats are tender and the sauce is perfect. Boudin balls are different and so delicious! Jambalaya and baked beans exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and efficient. 5 stars for sure! (I ate most of it too quickly for a photo lol)

This is the BEST bbq we have found around town! We are from Florida and are used to having bbq everywhere. The boudin balls were filled with pepper jack cheese and come with a tasty sauce! The brisket was so tender it fell apart with the tap of a fork. It was the best brisket I have ever had in my life. The homemade pimento cheese is absolutely amazing as well. Will be back!

The. Best. Cracklin. Period. The grits are excellent and among my favorites too! Great menu, from the traditional pulled pork and ribs, to the different Cajun food specialties. The barbecue items are spicier than I like. I prefer spice for flavor rather than heat. Really friendly and welcoming people.

We had dinner tonight at Tres Bon Cajun Meats in Louisiana. It was fantastic. The place is not fancy but has lots of character. We split “The Divorce” which is a sampler of half portions of ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken, smoked brisket, andouille sausage, boudin sausage, two sides, and fried rolls. We had the baked beans and potato salad for sides. Everything was amazing. The meats had a deep smoky flavor and were lean and tender. They had excellent taste as is but there was also Tres Bon Creole seasoning and barbecue sauce that took things up another level. The sides were great too and there were a number of other things to choose from. The service was quick and the people there were super friendly.

Fantastic! Pigs in blanket are amazing! Candied bacon, cracklings! Too many great things to list. They have no ingredients that you can’t pronounce. Very friendly service! Can’t recommend highly enough!

This is a real treasure of a place. It's 1/2 restaurant and barbecue meat store and 1/2 museum of random memorabilia that strikes the owner's fancy. This obviously includes pinball with an array of games from the late '70s to modern day. The food is quite good. The barbecue sauce is nothing special. I couldn't find anything really spicy on the menu which you would expect there to be something like that around here but it's a barbecue place so that's not unusual. Definitely worth a trip even though this is on the fringes of the city

This place is awesome. You can’t get crackling like this anywhere closer then Lafayette. For Christmas we bought boudin stuffed rabbit instead of the traditional turkey and everyone loved it. Smoked boudin is the best I’ve ever had.

The food is phenomenal and the staff (ladies serving/ringing up and checking on people at the tables) are sweet, incredible, and go above and beyond evertime. Drank a Dixie beer while I shopped. Smoker out front makes the place smell like heaven. Reasonable prices. Fresh (just made in back) Boudin and pork jerky...frozen andouille, alligator, and pork smoked sausage...hot and ready food bar. This place is the best. Not to mention the people are awesome!!!

It had been years since last time I came to this restaurant. It looks completely different from when I used to come but it seems that the quality of service and tastiness of the food remain. Since it was an unplanned trip I couldn't eat anything else but the brisket and some cracklings, the flavor was on point and the crispiness on the cracklings was great. Definitely coming back more often.

Really nice people. The pulled pork was great and the sides were yummy. I didn't care for the boudin (I normally get it in Lafayette but wanted to give it a try.) The fried oreos was AMAZING! If you're looking for something to try outside of NOLA, give this place a shot.

The food is amazing and the service is excellent! Prices are fair, portions are large. Owner is super kind, despite my five year old's terrible manners. My son said "yuck I don't want to eat that" when the food was brought to our table. Owner brought over a complimentary bowl of mac n cheese to appease him 😄 Five year old ended up LOVING the food, especially the homemade BBQ sauce. We don't go to very many spots more than once because there are so many great food options in the city, but we are repeat customers for a reason!

Best BBQ in the world ! I like getting the sampler platter as I know I’ll always have some to take home ! The meats are mouth watering and full of flavor ! The ribs are divine and the sides are always savory and hearty ! This is really the only place my husband and I want to go eat at when in the area ! It's pretty dang good. Best cracklings in a 90 mile radius. The guy smokes meat everyday. There's Sausage, Brisket, Ribs, and more along with various cajun sides/ dishes/ appetizers. If you like this kind of food it's worth the drive.

My husband doesn’t have google account so he asked me to leave his review. He was at a gas station when he walked outa dm smelled smoke. He realized it was a bbq restaurant, and decided to go check it out. He didn’t expect anything special or diff from what he’s used to. The first bite he took he said the brisket just fell apart in his mouth! He ate the boudin balls and said it was just so delicious- like none he’s never had before. Great place and he will be back!
