We were visiting New Orleans on a post-cruise stay. Wanted to do something romantic for the wife so I made arrangements to eat at Boucherie. We were staying in the French quarter and rode the cable car out to their location and had a very nice romantic dinner. The food was excellent as was the service. The place is very small. A small dining room inside of a small house and two tables on the front porch and a small patio area. And evening ride down St Charles with Christmas lights and the houses and homes and a very romantic dinner location was excellent. Make a reservation first though as we didn't have one and they scrambled trying to make a place for us. But they did and it was very very nice.

Spent a very enjoyable evening in this alternative part of New Orleans. Sadly we couldn’t get a table outside (ask ahead we learned). Seemingly we missed out on an amuse bouche everyone around us got but you could tell the staff were down a member or two. All was forgiven with the quality of the dishes which were bang on what we were hoping for. Unique, tasty and well worth the drive from the French Quarter. Very happy.

Came in town for work. Our group of 8 caught the streetcar to the restaurant and enjoyed a very nice ride that evening. The food was served hot and fresh and everyone stated how much they enjoyed their choices - waygu beef brisket, scallops, blackened shrimp and grit cake, etc. I will end on one of the high notes: Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding!!! OMG...

Always amazing food & service. Wagyu Beef brisket is my absolute favorite thing, along with the collards, grit cakes, and boudin balls!

A must every single visit to NOLA. Everything about your meal will be amazing, served graciously and beautifully in a warm and inviting space.

Where to start? We had truly the most amazing welcome party/rehearsal dinner for our wedding weekend at Boucherie. People had a ball. My husband and I keep saying it was one of our favorite parties we’ve ever been to! Sara is a dream to work with. She is so much fun, organized, creative, and cares deeply that the event is everything you hope for. She had candles and wildflowers on all the tables, and specifically, got her hands on the particular white wine I was drinking when I met my husband to serve at the party. We also had excellent specialty cocktails that were as good as any I’ve had in town. Nathaniel is not only one of the best chefs in the city, he is also such a great person. The staff was top-notch—friendly and totally on it. The food was outrageously good. Our friends are still talking about it. And, the setting was just what we wanted: charming and welcoming and very New Orleans. Thank you, Sara, Nathaniel, and everyone at Boucherie for the most incredible party!!!

Simply fantastic!! A very cozy yet lively spot with delicious and rich food. Fries, duck confit, steak, and pulled pork were all amazing. If the food weren’t enough, the service was probably the best I’ve had in a while. Benjamin was extremely kind, funny, and hospitable making our experience excellent. Would highly recommend and will be back next time we’re in town!!

Came for the restaurant week special. The Lisbon by Noon drink was excellent. Reminiscent of a sangria, its light and citrus and slightly sweet. Fabulous for a summer cocktail. The boudin balls with garlic aioli were actually very pleasant. I'm not a fan of boudin, but those were very tasty. The shrimp and grit cake was excellent. Highly recommend. The brisket and garlic parmesean fries I was very excited about. However, it was disappointing. The meat was very tender but not seasoned well. (too smoky) the fries were just fries and frankly a little limp. The Krispie Kreme bread pudding was wonderfully redeeming.
Overall, it was a good visit. But I would avoid the brisket.

Lauren makes a delicious cocktail. I had a sazerac and old fashioned which were both well worth the Uber. It was so much fun watching her work and conversing with her was the highlight of my trip to Boucherie. The mussels and collards were delicious and the fries dipped in the broth with the grated Parmigiano and spices made for one of the bestmussels and pom frites I've had.

This place was so cute and quaint. Loved the ambiance. Service was great and friendly. I tried the Reveillon Tasting and it was AMAZING. Small portions but with all of them it was very filling! The only “complaint” is there was a pretty string draft so it was a little chilly. I would definitely get the blackened shrimp, Trout and Paneed whole Hog pulled pork again.

I've had everything from my college graduation party to what I literally thought was my last meal there. Nathaniel (the owner/chef) has treated me and mine like family since they opened. Take a date and trust the tasting menu... and get the scoop on the bread pudding.

Just visited after a couple of years (thx, COVID), and had one of the best dining experiences of my life. From the chef tasting, to the the brisket, everything was amazing. My wife had the scallops and raved about them. We finished off with the to die for Krispy Kreme bread pudding. The service and ambiance were perfect. I can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend.

Every time we’ve been here, we’ve always been taken care of with the best service. Regular menu is always great, and their menus and suggested wine pairings for holidays are also amazing. I highly suggest that you get a reservation here.
Ross Walker
Very good and inventive. We did a wine pairing with our meal and that was outstanding, very good wines and loved the descriptions. Definitely get the krispy kreme bread pudding.
Jerrod Brown
Delicious pan seared tuna, blackened flounder and grit cake and krispy Kreme bread pudding. Everything was wonderful!!!
Doug B
Food was excellent however they struggled to make each course in a timely manner making us wait 20-30 minutes between each serving. They did make it right by discounting the cost of our total meal.

I was blown away by this relatively new uptown restaurant at its present location on South Carrollton uptown. The oyster soup is probably the best oyster soup I have ever had. Only a little cream but with a pesto in the center that is incredible. Dinner special is an incredible value: 4 courses for $40!!! The chef here does an amazing job with a diverse menu which includes smoked chicken, duck breast and wagyu beef. Reservation are a must. Very popular restaurant for obvious reasons. Ask for "Kat". Tell her Will sent you!

Great restaurant. I had the charcuterie plate for an appetizer. The pretzel was a perfect compliment the the different meats. I had the wagyu brisket with parmesan fries. It was good but I wished they added some type of vegetable. I was so full I ordered dessert to go. I got the Thai Chili Chocolate Chess Pie. It was excellent for breakfast with a cup of coffee.
Carol Hutchison
OMG! Everything was delicious! Had the Rèveillon selection: the bisque, grits cake w shrimp, the steak, and the bread pudding. Mouthwatering! Service was attentive and nice. Would love to come back!
Darin Coble
Amazing meal. If you like savory flavors done right, in an intimate or quiet setting, this is your place. The food and drinks were full of flavor. Desserts are worth ordering multiple rounds/flights.
You won’t be disappointed if you take a trip off the ‘Bourbon Street’ path with this local gem.

Got to try them for COOLinary month. The soup and bread pudding were both excellent, but the ravioli was eye-opening. At first I mistook the ravioli for tortilla chips because the color and texture was not what I'm accustomed to. They were very good though, and now I wish more ravioli were like these!
Thomas Edington
We had an amazing dining experience. Caesar salad, scallops, ribs, brisket, duck confit were all amazing. The collard greens were so good that they have ruined all other collard greens for me so that’s an issue. Intimate dining experience and Kelsey is an amazing chef.
Amanda Gehris
While running an errand in the area, we wanted to get dinner somewhere new. I googled "duck" in a restaurant search and reviews for Boucherie came right up, and with good reason. The duck was AMAZING. Everything we had was delicious and our server so nice. Highly recommend a visit to this unassuming and adorable restaurant.
Bonnie Landry
Lovely little spot for fantastic food and service. A little on the pricy side but worth every penny. Our wait staff was attentive, but not overly intrusive. The food was perfect from appetizers to dessert. Oh...and the coffee was just the way this Cajun Girl loves it! The fresh flowers on the tables were lovely. All around a wonderful experience. Looking forward to returning.
Gregory Schlee
Fabulous, inventive, fun. Beautiful space. Beautiful food. Great service!! Josh was top notch!! The sazerac was very special. Every member of the team is fully engaged and involved with the experience.
Jason Noto
Went in for happy hour with a friend and had an all around great experience. They went above and beyond to check on and let us know about their gluten-free options when asked. Excellent service as well.
James Mccoy
My visit here was spectacular, we each ordered the five course meal. Every course paired with a glass of wine. I was a little tipsy toward the end although I am a bit of a lightweight 😁 The employees were there to provide you with a very well prepared description of every course and answer any questions. A perfect place for a date. I recommend making reservations ASAP.
Greg Johnson
The menu has pretty good bbq items. The boudin is different tasting then other sausage types. The spicy pork could have been spicier. I wish they served more variety but what they do have tastes pretty good. I liked the sauce for the wings. The frued brussel sprouts looks awesome and will dig in right now. Overall good looking and tasty food here.
Annette Park
Great food and drink options. KK bread pudding is a must try- a bit too sweet for me, but you are not going to find anything like it elsewhere!
Eric S
Went here for coolinary month. Service was excellent. Duck fat infused bourbon was really good. We had the sweet corn soup and the shrimp and grit cake which were really yummy. Mains of brisket and mahi mahi were a little underwhelming and under seasoned. Kristen Kreme bread pudding was pretty good.
Hannah Young Mendoza
We ate with family from out of town here and everything was wonderful! Loved the coolinary menu, atmosphere, and wine.
Richard Rijnberk
Let me honest and say; I went in expecting much from the wagyu brisket. And one of the three pieces delivered, the other two were a little dry to my liking, but in no way disappointing.
My wife had the wagyu steak though and that was awesome, made me feel bad about my choice to be honest.
And we both enjoyed the bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
The staff are friendly and tend not to hover which is good. Other then that expect a modern atmosphere and good food.
t. qadir
Amazing experience. Went for the coolinary lunch and will be back for many meals. Everything was so well done...from the smokey caeser salad to the delectable bread pudding. Krispy kreme bread pudding...sounds ridiculous but its perfectly balanced..soft with a light and crispy top. Prob will overtake Commanders bread pudding souffle as my favorite dessert.
The ravioli was fantastic...the cumin was apparent and everything worked perfectly together...loved the beets
Dave Harned
This was my first meal on my New Orleans trip, and it really set the bar high! Charming atmosphere, attentive service, and the food and cocktails were both creative and delicious. The bbq shrimp po'boy is a must try!
John Anders
Food was excellent, but the servings were a little small.
Shelby Laster
Food was phenomenal. Excellent staff, everyone was so friendly and helpful.
Catherine Fahey
This restaurant has amazing food and great ambience. It's a quaint little place but the food packs a powerful punch. Highly recommend going if you're visiting. The Krispy Kreme bread pudding is to die for.
Jeff Bazzi
This review is specific to their catering. The restaurant is 5 stars in its own right (how its 4.5 at the time of me writing this is a travesty in its own right but I digress).
My wife and I decided to go with Boucherie for both food and beverage as a catering service for our wedding in New Orleans. We're both local to Nola and had our ideas in mind of a few spots that had potential for us however once we sat down at Boucherie for the tasting and had Chef Nathanial walk us through what he had prepared that night and what he could do seasonally with different produce the night of our event we were simply blown away so we decided to move forward with them.
We were having more of a party than a traditional wedding so the food was passed hors d'oeuvres only, but Boucherie ended up doing a food truck-type of set up for our guests to both walk up to and for their staff to carry items around. Everything was excellent and delicious. The oysters were incredible. The small plates they did were incredible. Every guest we spoke with brought up how good the food was. Beyond all of that, every single person in their staff were friendly, professional, and really fun. The bartenders were social and engaging with everyone. The cherry on top of it all was Sara, their contact for catering, who was incredibly easy to work with for everything and helped make the food and beverage portion of our event as stress-free and seamless as possible.
Jaelene Cumba
Tried some of their items during COOLinary and everything was to perfection. Staff handled the busy restaurant with a great attitude (especially the Mid Summer Mardi Gras happening across the street).
Darija Meier (DiningDar)
The restaurant is so cute!! The indoor seating is limited but they have a very nice, large patio. The menu was outstanding. We had a party of six and everything we ordered was great. Get the Boudin Balls and fried grits!! The skirt steak was perfectly cooked, the brisket was juicy and flavor-full (I would suggest you ask for the BBQ on the side, that was slightly heavy) and the duck was so tender. I would only suggest that you skip the bread pudding as it was very dry. We had to order ice cream with it in order to enjoy it.

Boucherie was one of my favorite restaurants in NOLA when I lived here from 2010-2015. So when I came for a visit, I was really excited to show my partner a great meal. Sure, the price point had gone up significantly from "elevated casual" to "fine dining" levels, but I get that restaurants are responding to the challenges of the pandemic. What I don't get is why the quality and quantity of the food seems to have declined in inverse relationship to the cost. We ordered the scallops ($32) and the brisket ($28) and were disappointed by small portions and artless plating. There were four scallops (sure, fine) but they were billed as being served on a bed of potato croquettes and green beans. Instead there was a *single croquette* the size of a thumb, and five (5) green beans. I counted. The brisket was similarly skimpy and carelessly plated. Likewise, the aioli that came with boudin balls came in a lumpy smear--as if I needed a preview of what it will look like when it reaches my thighs. The meal's saving graces were the cocktails (excellent) and the bread pudding, which, as always, is so good it brings me to tears. I'm posting this review because I am rooting for Boucherie to succeed--it's a restaurant that has withstood a lot. But that would require the attention to detail that once defined it and that could justify its prices.

Great food, friendly staff and great atmosphere! Celebrated my friend's birthday and they treated us both like birthday girls!
Lindsey Pratt
Outstanding as always. Been coming to Boucherie since 2011 and it is still so magical.
David was EXCELLENT as a server and his understanding of wine was so wonderful - it was an experience just listening to what he had to share and he really made the meal memorable.
Thank you!!
Cheri' Ben-Iesau
Unique and taste-infused take on southern specialties. I kid you not- the BEST boudin balls I've ever had. Excellent service added to the experience.
Susan Campbell
This place is a gem tucked away on a side street. We sat outside on the patio and had an amazing experience. The cocktail menu was nice, but the food was varied and inventive. We chose the prix fixe menu and the entrees of scallops and Drum were outstanding. Service was friendly and helpful, just am overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
Francisco Candal
Service was attentive and courteous, not intrusive. The place is small and cozy. The brisket was excellent. It had a slight BBQ hint. The fries were really good. My wife had the skirt steak, very tender and flavorful. The bread pudding was the memorable closing act. It is best I've ever had.
Adam S
Consistently excellent. The menu rotates often enough that there is always a new entree and wine to try, and nothing has ever been bad here. I especially love it when the weather is cool enough to sit in their beautiful outside area. If they still have duck on the menu when you go, I highly recommend.
Abby Schnitzer
came here for mine and my boyfriend's anniversary and the experience was perfect. we got the boudin balls as the appetizer, which were delicious, although I wish they gave more of the garlic dipping sauce cuz that was also so good. we got the pulled pork with sweet potatoes pierogi and BBQ brisket for entrees which were stellar! the pierogi was dreamy and the BBQ was some of the best I've ever had (I'm not from a BBQ state tho, from NY so I'm not a BBQ sauce expert.) for dessert, we went all out and got homemade doubt & coffee ice cream, Thai chili chess pie, and Krispy Kreme bread pudding. everything was fabulous, but the bread pudding came out on top. on top of amazing food, the service was friendly and timely. our friends we were visiting in nola, we insisted that they must try this place for an upcoming date night.
Charles Thomas
Very comfortable intimate surroundings. The staff was incredibly accommodating and cordial.
The menu was delightful and tempting and the prix fix menu was beyond reproach and even better with the wine paring. It is a 10 out of 10.
Peter Kastl
Service was really slow. They did have Krispy Kreme bread pudding, though.

DELICIOUS pre-fix dinner for V-day. 70% reason why any stars at all. Outdoor ambiance with live band was great. HOWEVER 1) My spouse had a sharp piece of plastic in our first course... only received a "sorry" about that from the server. 2) Our waiter didn't realize our second course was never served (waited 50- 60 min and watched another couple who got there after us get served before us) until we brought it to his attention, his service recovery was pretty good,, taking one of the wine pairings off of our bill ~$35 and had generous pourings for the remainder of the night which is of course appreciated. 3) It was about 50° and their outdoor "HEATERS" where COMPLETELY SUBPAR likely not meant for outside use but inside buildings (I'm not an expert on this equipment but literally everyone looked uncomfortably cold including those of us wearing trench coats). Our waiter kindly offered us the opportunity to enjoy our dessert at an available table inside.

This restaurant was a cute. I had the African Gumbo. I wasn't my favorite to dark tasting for me, but the duck & ceviche where do bright & light tasting. I had the suggested wine with my meal, highly recommend what they have paired with each meal it was a work of art the pairings they made.
Jill Tura
Had dinner here a few nights ago. I think it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend.
Julien Jean-Francois
Wonderful experience. Family brunch was delicious. Everyone loved every meal. The carrot cake pancakes are a must, the oysters will be the perfect first time experience for those who never tried before, the grits will NOT disappoint. Amazing food, worth every penny.
Diana Enriquez
Amazing food, very diverse an great flavors, the soups were amazing! They have plenty beverages selection. Music was very nice.
They present a menus for the month which means they are changing it constantly.
I personally loved the oysters and the duck with the salad that was presented. The place was neat and had nice decoration
Monique Henderson
A nice small setting. We had drinks and the food was great. Waitress/Cashier was wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a late night snack under the stars. We were actually able to watch them roast a hot that night
Robin Gregg
Fantastic! Great, upscale BBQ. The only "fancy" restaurant experience loved by my sons. The service was perfect and made for a terrific meal. We loved the pork ribs and the brisket.
Gary J.
Weighed against an exceptionally high price point, the food, service and wine pairings earn this place three stars. Your moderate expectation will not be disappointed, just your wallet.
Doug Christensen
Wonderful experience. We did the chefs tasting menu with the wine pairing and it did not disappoint. Service was exemplary, food was exquisite. Love the high end food in the casual environment.
Eula Riley
Very nice staff and very good meals.

We went last night to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent! Our waiter made some recommendations that were spot on for our tastes. Everything from the cocktails and appetizers to the desert was delicious. The service was excellent. We highly recommend it. We will be going back and bringing some friends next time!
Justin Smith
Wonderful experience. Somewhat crowded, likely because if covid relaxation. Make a reservation. Clay, our server, was attentive despite. Chefs choice and wine flight is best value.
Woody Allen
Went there for my birthday. Sat at the bar with my date. The food was unique very tasty the people could not have been any nicer. The chocolate ganache was unbelievable. You not only get a good dinner but the whole experience was great. Hopefully you'll have the same experience.

This was one of our favorite little spots. We hadn't been there in a couple of years, so we decided to go for lunch. To our surprise it was empty and it was lunch time. All the times that we have visited this restaurant it was never empty. That was an indicator that something wasn't right. We ordered our usual, the boudin balls and the salad. The boudin balls didn't taste good, they put way too much paprika on the outside which made it difficult to eat them. I ordered the duck and my husband ordered the beef poboy and both were awful. We were disappointed and to top it off, the food made me sick. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
Alyssa Carter
Near the west terminus of the St. Charles streetcar line, this hidden gem hides with culinary temptations, a friendly and attentive staff and energized atmosphere. Multiple large appetizers, all very diverse, were followed by equally large, well-conceived and well-prepared entrees. And, then our group of 15 had to contend with finding room to consume one of the desserts! Throughout our waitress affably accommodated us with drinks, answers to menu questions and refills. We would return willingly the next time New Orleans is part of our agenda!a
Fionn Casey
The atmosphere here is quite lovely and intimate. They also have a small menu but it is packed full of local flavor. Their wine list complements the food quite well. The dessert is to die for. If the have it I recommend the Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding.
Samantha Martin
We ended up at this restaurant by accident. After attempting to go to another restaurant that ended up being closed that day, a local man walked by and saw us struggling on where to go and highly recommended Boucherie. We figured if a local recommends it, it has to be good, and boy was he right!! This restaurant had an upscale vibe with a twist. The menu consisted of modern takes on southern food. I had the chicken fried pulled pork and it was absolutely delicious!! My husband had the flatiron steak and loved it. Prices are not outrageous at all for what you get at this restaurant.
maritta haggenmacher
We had a wonderful time in New Orleans, and decided to go to Boucherie on our last night. What an experience!! The best dinner I had in ages. And everyone was so nice. The cocktails were great!! I want to take this restaurant home(to Amsterdam)
Joseph Bodenmiller
Very nice! Delicious brisket but maybe pair it with something that doesn't have cheese (Jewish friendly needed). Front door host not efficient. Arugula salad was excellent. I'll definitely be back

Wow! Our favorite restaurant in the city right now. We had the scallops, the duck, and five appetizers - everything was superb. Our waiter was attentive and charming, loved the Back to the Future cocktail - so well crafted.
Paige Coughlin
To be honest, I shouldn’t have chosen this restaurant as a vegetarian. The one option they had on the online menu for veggies sounded great and I was eating with a group of omnivores. I guess they change their menu a lot, so I chose the one veggie option they had (which was different from what the had listed online) and it was not great. I took two bites and didn’t eat anymore. Two meat eater friends tried it and also were very unimpressed. Long story short, the pescatarian and omnivore dishes were apparently delicious. Everyone else was very happy with the meal. But i couldn’t finish my meal. It was poorly seasoned and kind of just bad.
Ashley Castle
Lunch service was good, prices were appropriate for a lunch menu, and it was a clean, nice restaurant. They had interesting spins on normal lunch fair.
The waiter recommended the "back to the future 3" as a refreshing adult beverage and it was; it was delicious. We shared a portion of fries, oh my, so good. Those were probably the best fries ever! My coworker got the BBQ shrimp po boy and he really enjoyed. I got the BLT, it was good but it was hard to eat and i felt it was missing something. As a self proclaimed bread pudding connoisseur (and the reason we selected the restaurant), I was disappointed in the Krispy Kreme bread pudding. The donut part was a little dry and the sauce basically tasted like pancake syrup. However, that being said, I would eat there again.
Ramesh Reddy
I can't say enough about Boucherie. From the staff, to the food, to the wine, to the prices, there is no better restaurant you can go to in New Orleans that consistently produces.
The one thing I have hated about living in New Orleans is that I am always emboldened to go to new restaurant openings. However, I am more often than not disappointed with the food, the wine selection and the costs.
That's what always brings me back to Boucherie.
I've been eating at Boucherie since its inception and have watched it grow consistently over the years. The prices have remained low for the flavors, atmosphere and service you get.
It is fine dining at half the cost.
Moreover, they know how to make every customer happy and will do whatever it takes to ensure you have a wonderful experience.
If you are looking for a place that not only serves the staples but expands your palette with intriguing and well designed specials with nuanced flavor selections that span the globe;
if you are looking for a place to grab a beautiful glass of wine or skillfully crafted cocktail;
or if you just want something simple - I would not look any further than this outpost of culinary perfection that I like to call my second home.
Cheers!

If you want an overpriced plate with very little in it, then this is the place for you. My coworkers and I went to this place as a suggestion because one of my coworkers wanted authentic Louisiana food. This was not the place that provides authentic Louisiana food.
I will say that the food (the little that I had) tasted awesome, the mixed drink my coworker had was "the best mixed drink I have every had" he said, and the service was excellent.
Harry Morse
Boucherie has been around long enough to become something of a stalwart, only without the recognition it probably deserves. In the move back to its old digs, the place has only gained: better environment; same wonderful food. And the prices are particularly reasonable. I wish it got a little more recognition for making great food year after year.
Gene Dry
My wife and I decided on a last minute Valentine's dinner and found a place at the bar here. Bartender Tara was as nice a hostess as we've met and was very good at her craft. The Boudin Balls were the best ever! Entrees were outstanding (scallops were perfectly prepared, as was a small plate of duck confit) and the garlic/parmesan fries were unbelievable. Will absolutely return.
Kate Kosche
Walked in for delicious lunch. They don't do online reservations, so I would have to call (which I hate doing) but had no problem getting in a lunch time. Really terrific food and excellent server. Not may favorite Bloody Mary, but pretty good. We had some small plates and specials and finished it off with the excellent bread pudding. Very reasonable prices for the quality received. I would happily go back for dinner some time if I could just get beyond my inability to make phone reservations any more...
Diana Daigle
Absolutely delightful and delicious! I believe our waiter was Tony who was, well delightful. Food was superb and the our service was impeccable! Can’t wait to visit again. And you should too!
Mike Chicago
We came here on a recommendation, (unbeknownst to me). I'm glad we did. There is only street parking available, so its kind of tight.
We got to the place a minute before they opened, (literally one minute) with no reservations, but they DO keep a table open for walk ins so it was a good thing we got there early, and it was a Sunday...
I got a disorganized feel at first, but after we were seated, it was good.
Our server..friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable was very cool.
Our amuse bouche was deviled egg salad.
Fantastic.
A touch spicy, maybe paprika? Some dijon mustard/mayo combo with pickle slivers and egg flavor. Thoughrouly enjoyed.
For appetizers, we had an order of Boudin Balls.
3 delightfully fried, tasty, well seasoned balls of goodness that have taken a "tied for first" best Boudin Balls in New Orleans with another local uptown restaurant. (Read my reviews to find out which other place is #1)!!
Really good..great..super!
A second was the Charcuterie Plate.
WOW!!
Um, let's start with the Hogs head soup steamed dumpling. The soup inside the dumpling was savory and rich, and the meat...perfect!
Pork belly was also on the plate. Crispy, tasty and again, just sooo much flavor.
Lap cheong sausage was on the plate, which is a dried Chinese sausage, very good. Finally, Beech mushrooms slightly seasoned, was also very good.
My entree was St. Louis style Niman Ranch pork ribs and sticky sweet potato.
The ribs were just minutes from fall off the bone, and really meaty, and with the delicious BBQ sauce, was excellent. The sweet potatoes were just fantastic, can't say I've had them quite like that before.
Babycakes really liked the dumpling and boudin balls, too. She ordered off of the Prix Fixe Menu.
Her entree was the Smoked Waygu Brisket with garlicky fries.
Babycakes really loved the Waygu, although it's a lean meat, it was flavorful and juicy (I tried a bit). Fries with parmesan were great, too.
Finally, the desert selections looked really good. I chose the Thai Chili Chocolate Chess Pie. Rich, deep chocolate flavor with a hint of spice....just perfect.
Babycakes ordered the Chocolate Ganache Terrine. Delicate chocolate flavor, delicious!
Great food, great service, really nice clean place.
Highly recommended!!

Best dinner I've had in NOLA in a while! The duck was fantastic. The smoked meats were excellent, elevated with good sides and creative presentation. The collard greens & grit fries and a must. And whatever you do, do not leave without trying the Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding!
Michael Giardino
One of the best early post-Katrina restaurants in New Orleans. I've eaten here a dozen times over the past 10 years and it's consistently been great. Excellent BBQ, creative flavors really make this consistently one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans.

First off, let me start by saying “mad props for the complexity and execution of the menu items.” I wanted to rate Boucherie 4 out of 5, but am giving 3 because of the unnecessary waiting. We waited extremely long to initially receive our food and in between courses. There is only street parking available, and on a Saturday evening, it was tough! I started with a Sazerac and it was pretty good. The boudin balls were good, but I was expecting a tad more kick in the flavor. I ordered the Saint Louis Style Niman Ranch Pork Ribs for my entree. They were tender and fall off the bone. Again, they could have used more flavoring but the tenderness won me over. The ribs were accompanied by Spicy Fried Okra sitting on top of Pimento Cheese Aioli. OMG! It was great! I was pleasantly surprised by the Pickled Cantaloupe. The flavor was amazing! I ordered the Thai Chili Chocolate Chess Pie for dessert. It was a disappointment because it was light, fluffy, not very sweet...totally opposite of every chess pie I eaten. That night, they had a carrot cake on the menu. It looked amazing, so I’ll keep that in mind if I visit again. I would like to visit again but am unsure because I don’t have 3 hours to spend at a restaurant.
Chris M
Absolutely loved this quaint restaurant. The tomahawk pork chop was fantastic! The Thai Pepper Chocolate Chess Pie was out of this world. We ordered one to split and ended up ordering a 2nd one! Wonderful experience!
Brandy Shoemaker
The food was truly amazing. You wait for the freshly prepared food so just come prepared for that. Service is probably the only thing that needs a little attention. They were nice and attentive and helpful with the menu, they just missed the mark on of asking if it was going to be on one check or two. Everyone's meal was delish!

One of the truly unique dining experiences in New Orleans. A fresh Southern menu that doesn't disappoint no matter which way you go. A serious innocent attention to detail without becoming pretentious. even more appealing, it isn't in the downtown or French Quarter tourist mob scenes so slightly easier and more accessible for the spur-of-the-moment dining experience.
Seth Bloom
This business is a great success story starting as a food truck and expanding into a super successful spot in mid city. It always seems to be crowded and doing some innovative things with food. It’s a great spot for brunch or dinner. I understand that at the time I am writing this they will be moving to a new location and making the current location into another foodie treat so keep a watch. High end contemporary southern cuisine that launched from a one of the first successful New Orleans food trucks.
Jay Banos
The food is amazing. The boudin balls are the best I've ever had. The roasted duck is also amazing, along with their beef poboy, the brisket... I could go on, but I'd end up listing the entire menu.
Ryan Schulze
Fun and trendy spot. Pricy but not terribly so. Our waiter was excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. Food was tasty, but not out of this world good. My wife is gluten intolerant and they brought a marked up menu over showing what she could and could not eat. Very helpful. We ended up ordering the Blackened Shrimp & Grit Cake with Warm House Cured Bacon Vinaigrette ($12 - delicious), Grilled Heart of Romaine Caesar Salad with Parmesan Reggiano & Basil Croutons ($8 - fairly standard), Saint Louis Style Niman Ranch Pork Ribs with Sweet Potato Rice Dressing & Toasted Pecans ($21 - good). She had the Chocolate Ganache Terrine ($8 - good) for dessert and I had Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding ($7 - wow, fantastic). It is definitely worth a visit.
Darci Burroughs
The tasting menu and wine pairing were absolutely amazing! Everyone in our party was so pleased with the meal, the experience, and the service.
Matt Strain
Good Gods! The food was amazing. The duck rillette was so delicate. The foie gras was devine. The duck and wagyu beef brisket were ove the top delicious. On top of that the service was attentive, friendly, and very accommodating (we had a 4yo and a 1yo). I will happily come back here to eat every time I am in town.
Solo Paralegal Emily
The food has always been terrific, but the portion sizes have decreased over the years.
Riain Rising
Kelsey and Nathaniel know how to pack a lot of flavor Into a small dish. I went their for New Years dinner 2020 and ate like a king. This was my third time eating off this ever changing menu and it was stellar. It's situated in a converted house in the uptown riverbend area, right next door to Lebanon's. ITS DINKY INSIDE, but you get that special service similar to Brigtstens. If you are a local fed up middle eastern fast food give Boucherie a try:)
Natasha Qamar
Laid back ambiance with great food, a variety of share-able smaller plates, great tunes and delish cocktails.
Sam Boyarsky
What can I say, go here. You won’t be disappointed. The food is amazing, as is the staff (service is on point, always) The menu is traditional and creative (yes, I know that is a contradiction, but it works), and everything is prepared perfectly, with love and honor, from good ingredients.
Jammer Orintas
Great meal and responsible priced wine. We sat outside and they did a good job at socially distancing the tables. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.
Deanna Smith
Akin! The best server, we stan.
Vitalie Katz
The service was excellent. But beyond excellent was the food. We were in a group of 6 ppl, and got the chance to taste more then one dish, and I strongly believe that any dish will blow your mind. Will definitely come back!
Carolyn Frenkel
We LOVE this restaurant. I can't say enough about it. Not only do they have an incredible menu, but incredible prices to match. We go here whenever we want 5 star food for a 3 star price. Make sure to book reservations in advance though, since it tends to fill up quickly!
Scott Kolonko
The food here is really good and it is very reasonably priced for what your getting. The Wagyu beef brisket was delicious and their parmesan fries are ridiculous. Their desserts were equally as good, especially the Krispy Kreme bread pudding. Very much worth a try if your in the New Orleans area.
Paul Walsh
We went there and the food was great - spicey and the smoked meats were delightful. I had the smoked maple wood scallops and others had the smoked chicken which were both spectacular - great selection of beers and good wine selection and service great - highly recommended !!!
Lyn Morein
Well thought out and executed menu. Great service. Lovely, cozy space!
Stewart Yeany
Awesome culinary experience. Delectable Duck, Scrumptious Scallops, Awesome Appetizer, and homemade ice cream for dessert. Don't miss this place or you might miss your best meal ever!
Jeremy Jones
Best meal in New Orleans and well worth the price and Uber drive from the French Quarter. They take reservations and later dinners on weekdays are easy to get a table. Have tried the grilled oysters, Sazerac, Moscow Mule, ribs and beef brisket along with the ubiquitous Krispy Kreme bread pudding. Everything was amazing. After many trips to New Orleans, this is the one restaurant I always want to eat at.
Dalton Jorns
The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. Very good value overall. Try the brisket for your main course and the bread pudding for dessert!
Bill Rawlinson (Finalcut)
Tiny place with little to no atmosphere. But damn the food was good, the service was friendly, and the beer selection was surprising. I would eat here every chance I had. The wings more than made up for the lack of atmosphere.
Jon
I enjoyed the food here The place is really small so be sure to book a reservation before coming or you may have to wait a while. I recommend getting the Cuban sandwich with roasted pork, red wine mustard, pickled roasted poblano peppers with ancho aioli and mozzarella. Or, try getting the applewood smoked scallops garlicky broccoli, XO sauce and a sesame seed tuille.
Walter Lamb
Great food (shrimp and grits, sliced duck, goat cheese pierogi) and libations at fair prices, affable and knowledgeable service (thank you, Robert!), and ample outside seating for Covid-conscious dining. Whenever we visit the city to see our sons, we make it a point to dine at Boucherie and have never been disappointed. This is an establishment that knows what it's doing!
Omar Gordillo
The restaurant is very clean, excellent wine, beer and coctel selections. The food is excellent as as same the selections. The atmosphere and personnel attention is beyond expectation. It is highly recommended for a good time.
Trevor Hateley
You need to have the blackened shrimp. I can't name the spice they put on it, but I love it. That was definitely the highlight of the meal, and that's not to put down the Krispy Kreme bread pudding, the blackened shrimp are just that good. Duck po boy was just "ok" - I was hoping they'd do something special with the bread, but it was just normal bread you'd get anywhere else with some amazing duck.
Jessica Vreeswijk
We took the street car there from our hotel in the French Quarter and had a delicious brunch. I had a BBQ scallops and corn grits dish that was really nice.
Stephen -
Worth the venture out to uptown for such delicious food. Collared greens were intensely flavourful. Tasso soup other standout. Bit slow, but very warm service. Yum yum.
Bryan Rogers
Boucherie has started serving brunch in their original location. As expected the food and service were great. Highly recommend fofor a laid back Sunday brunch.
Joanna Deal
Wonderfully unusual dishes. Staff excellent. Only disappointment is there is not one California Chardonnay on the wine list by the glass and only one bottle
Sarah Sowell
Modern flair on Louisiana BBQ and new Orleans traditional seafood. Great atmosphere, open late, wonderful service! Larger portions for a restaurant of this caliber...
Matt B
Ate here a few years ago and was blown away with how delicious it was. I had the boudin balls and rueben the other day and it was good but I was disappointed in the lack of creativity that I remembered from my last dinner there.
Heidi Adamson
Great experience, delicious food. While in NOLA we also ate dinner at Commander's Palace and Galatoire's (both highly rated) and Boucherie was my favorite.
Chloe Mac
Wonderful service, some of the best food I had in NOLA. Chicken fried pulled pork and bread pudding were to die for. Walk around Oak Street and stop by - fantastic!
Beth Larkin
Best bbq shrimp poboy I have ever had. White tablecloth place, but very relaxed. Super friendly staff and delicious food
Xin Gu
Amazing food and quaint ambience. A great place to unwind and relax. Highly recommend for a romantic dinner.
Skyler Manning
You'll smell glorious smoked meats before you see this place. The food is lit and the staff are friendly. Just be prepared to drop some cash because you'll want everything on the menu.
Rudolph Ormond
Enjoy the Citrus spritzer. Sever me with my meal.

Boucherie is a great quirky spot right off Carrollton that our company likes to use for lunch or dinner meetings with clients. The food is superb and although the converted Carrollton cottage small, the atmosphere is just right for taking a client or colleague to lunch. White table cloths make for a nice feel and the service is great everytime. Try the Pulled Pork Po'Boy and Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding!
Phillip Lirette
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Make sure you order the Blackened Shrimp and Grit Cake.
Lyle Burkhardt
Great spot for a low key dinner. Prices are super reasonable for the quality of food and atmosphere. I loved the ribs and especially the squash tamale!
Kirk Bienvenu
Overcooked my tuna and had no working bathrooms. They fixed the tuna, but the waitress was very rude to my wife about the bathroom situation when she complained.
Raylaah 30
James is an amazing and talented artist from New Jersey. I had the pleasure of meeting him on a flight recently and I can't wait to visit New Orleans to see what he has in stored.
Angie Smeltzer
This beautiful restaurant was very intimate and the staff was very friendly. We tried the scallops, duck, and Wagyu beef brisket and liked the brisket the best!
Rocío Alvarado
My husband and I, both took the 3 course meal. Every bite was flavour country. Made our last meal in New Orleans memorable.
Robbie Lindsay
The food here was so good and the people working here were so articulate and they obviously cared so much which made everything great. Next time I'm in New Orleans I'll have to see to it that we go again.
Raoul Duke
Great service, even though backwaiter splashed broth in my ear. Shared Scallops viciousiou, Tuna pho, charcuterie & duck wontons. All very good.
marco
Hmm. This new space is generic and lacking in character. The donut bread pudding wasn't as good as I remembered. Overall this place is not worth it if you are in town for just a few days.
Elizabeth Barry
Delectable. Unique meal choices that are served beautifully. Wonderful cocktails as well. Will definitely go back!
Pat M
Absolutely the best beef sandwich I've had!
Finish with bread pudding with a vanilla ice cream topping maybe the only way to eat krispy kreme donuts!
Collins Sigler
Great service. Great wagu beef brisket and boudin balls. Fries were to salty. But overall no complaints.
Jon Emerson
Unbelievable best milk punch I ever had, followed by the best boudain balls, followed by one of the best burgers. Everyone was also VERY friendly, a lost art.
Kathryn Hagerty
Delicious food, but portions on the smaller side. My chilled corn soup, while delicious, had maybe 4 spoonfuls of soup.
Shuo Huang
Amazing food with slight twists on traditional cuisine, reasonably priced. The service tops it off. Kudos Boucherie, I’ve always been a fan.
Gerard Ingraham
I'm not saying the best bread pudding I ever had but it was good. Came specifically for b.p.
Ronald Wynn

Raymond Perry
Boucherie is fantastic! The food is so good and so reasonably priced I told them they really should charge more. My wife kicked me under the table.
Sarah Lawson

Jessica Ragan-Williams
