My daughter has health issues from covid 19 and their meat are all natural with no msg. She is able to eat because of it without having complications. They are very knowledgeable on what types are what and whats in them. Very dependable! Have used them for many years and affordable.

I do not post publicly often; however coming from a northern state where butcher shops are quite normal. I can say that Tagz is the best butcher shop in central Tennessee. Our family goes here only for our meat and their new location is amazing. Also their customer service is amazing. Check this place out if you get a chance!!

Amazing, will be back. I got so tired of just garbage tier meat from the grocery store, over and over again so I decided to finally stop in here. Just off the bat the ground beef is the best I have ever bought from a store, period. Just delicious. I cannot wait to try the chicken and other cuts I picked up. Maybe not exactly a bargain basement price for meat but you sure do get what you pay for here.

Great quality meats and for good prices as well. My family tries to plan to make a stop here whenever we are gonna have people over for a cookout so we know the food will go over well. The service is also great and if we see something that may be a little larger than we need (like a Boston Butt/Pork Shoulder) they will happily cut it to meet our needs.

Tag‘s is THE best butcher shop in town. What I really like is their meat does not have those additives and solutions. As a regular customer, I will suggest you take advantage of their pick-five sale. I usually get the pork chops, fish, and sausage, which will cover our lunch. And I also often get the sirloin steak. Their milk quality is awesome. My daughter can tell if the milk is bought from the butcher shop or from the other grocery stores. I also like their beef jerky, great snack. People may think mom pop shop must be expensive, which is not the case here. Their price is competitive to Sprouts, and the quality could only be better. We definitely spend more money on groceries than eat out. we think it worth the time and effort to maintain a better life quality.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. All poultry and meat I have purchased from them have been phenomenal. I also tried their beef hotdogs after one of their clerks said their hotdog shortage amidst the pandemic almost started a small town revolution. Needless to say I will be holding a picket sign at the next shortage. All joking aside go to this place and support your local butcher. You deserve it!

The people are all very nice and helpful. They are great about cutting things exactly how you want them so the service can't be beat. They are also nice about helping you choose the right cuts depending on what you are making. I have never been disappointed with the quality of anything I've bought there and don't miss out on the freezer--they have great sausages and tuna.

I was looking for halibut all across down for a special birthday dish. They were the only place in town that had some, and their cuts were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful for finding specialty products. They also let me know that they can special order items for you within 24 hours notice! Have bought their prime rib steaks that was the best. Last week stopped by, bought a couple of Porterhouse steaks and bought a couple of rib eye steaks. I've ate and grilled alot of steaks in my lifetime, but I've never had steaks that was as juicy and tender as these were. Quality meat for sure.Customer forever.

This place is the benchmark for quality and service. These folks could easily cruise along on the quality of their meats and sauces...BUT they chose to take it to the next level by providing a smiling face, a clean store front and respectful interaction. And did I mention the cuts of meat or EXCEPTIONAL!!!! Highly recommend their Classic Blend Marinade. Don't settle for run of the mill when the place is within driving distance.

I went there to ask about a cut of meat (top round) that I’d read about, but had never tried. The staff and owner’s wife were most helpful and engaging. I got some great ideas for the future with top round, but while I was there I purchased an incredible ribeye. I highly recommend Tag’z.

P.S. For the best deals, check out their pick 5 bundle or buy an entire cut of steaks, they'll individually freezer wrap them for you and you'll save a lot of money and get fantastic meat!

Great service but as of right now im not convinced there that good i bought some sirloin steaks that were priced ok. But the other steaks in there looked like local grocery store steaks they had alot of fat (marbling) in them just dont know if thats what they normally carry?! i will be trying them on different occasions and to see if it was just a fluke i will update this review as soon as i go back another time just to see they quality.

I recently discovered this place from a simple Google search of butchers near Murfreesboro. Price is a little more than I usually spend but the quality was worth it. Each worker was helpful and knowledgeable. What they don't have in store, they offered to special order. Fresh cut deli meats, 2.5 inch thick filet mignon, and homemade sausages. Going to try some of everything here.9

Tag'z is the ONLY place I will purchase meat. Mike, Trish, daughters, and employees treat you like family. You will NOT find better quality, price, and customer service anywhere. It's the only place I know of where you can get a thick steak. They also get primal cuts and will cut it however you want. They have suppliers so if you call ahead, their selection is much larger than what they may have in store if you walk in. If you have something specific, give them a call beforehand.

I went there on Valentine's Day to get some filet cuts to cook for my wife and I. This was my first trip as I wasn't even aware that there was a real butcher in Murfreesboro. The meat was amazing. My wife didn't even use a knife with her steak, she just cut it with her fork. I went back a couple of days later and got some salmon to cook for her. It was also perfect. I'll be going here to get ALL my meat for as long as I live within driving distance of Murfreesboro. The service was also top shelf. Every employee was smiling. Three different people asked me if I needed help. The store was very clean and easy to navigate. I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to actual butchers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I thought I knew how to grill a good steak, I had the most important thing wrong, the steak itself! Picked up a prime ribeye and filet mignon from Tagz today and grilled the most tender and flavorful steaks I have ever ate. It's a whole new level of grilling and makes me look like a master grilller! A bonus is they are some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet.

Mike Taglioni, the owner and his family run this family busines. I had not had corned beef and other sandwich meats like this since I visited big cities, like Chicago. He will make one if you walk in or cater anything. Just like a New York sub sandwich! Melt in your mouth meats.
