I feel lucky to have Ready Meats so close to home. The quality, value, and variety of the meats is great, and the bright display really tempts me to leave with something more than I intended to pick up every visit. Their variety pack options are a great value, and super convenient for stocking up the freezer or hosting a party. There is a really nice selection of packs to begin with, and it's awesome that they allow substitutions for a touch of customization as well.

Their beef sticks are addictive, and their country sausage is an essential part of my breakfast with scrambled eggs. This place is a 3-mile walk from my house and it’s worth every little step for these delicious high-quality meats that are backed with love and history.

Sale and Dave are AMAZING! I found them on Google maps and called them up cold. I needed a large special order of meat for a local fundraiser after a previous supplier feel through. An awesome old school neighborhood butcher. Absolutely fantastic quality, customer service, and selection. I completely stopped getting meat from grocery stores because I'd rather buy it from here. Definitely a NE staple and somewhere you should go if you live in the area. My favorites are their bacon, frozen soups, and chicken.

Phenomenal neighborhood "old-school" meat market of the highest quality. I go here for all of my carnivorous needs. I highly recommend their sausages/bratwurst, especially the maple breakfast pork links, as well as the extensive selection of beef cuts. A NE staple.

I don't normally give reviews. In days when my mom lived in NE Mpls, I would buy meat and pizza crusts from Ready regularly. I live in Forest Lake. Always excellent meat, and other products. This Easter, I ordered a double smoked ham from Ready. The ham was the best and juiciest I have ever had. All my family agreed. Not badly priced. Well worth the 30 mile trip. This place is a great place to buy meat. Highly recommended.

Without exception the experience I always receive when I buy meats here is reflected in the high-quality and diverse selection of meats available. If you want quality cuts of meat from people who know what they are doing at reasonable prices than Ready Meats is the place to go.

Stopped in today to get around 11 pounds or so of different meats. I was helped by a very polite, courteous young man. I also was able to chat with one of the owner's wives, and it was a nice convo. I will definitely be coming back for more. The quality of the meat is very good as well.

We discovered Ready Meats a few years ago after moving our daughter from Chicago to Minneapolis. Because we live in Chicago, we have access to many decent butcher shops but none of them come close to the quality of the meat at Ready Meats. Recently, when it came time to purchase our prime rib roast for our traditional Christmas dinner, there was only one thing to do: call Ready Meats! We talked to Dave who told us they already took a lot of orders, and he wasn’t sure he would have a prime rib left for us. Once he found out we drive from Chicago to Minneapolis just to get their meat, he took down our number. He said he would be getting his meat order in later than night and would see what he could do. Well, Dave came through in a big way with a superior quality cut prime rib. The 11 hour round trip drive was well worth it. The prime rib roast was BY FAR better than any other we’ve had, hands down. Thank you to Dave and to everyone at Ready Meats! You are amazing!

Love this place. Have ordered many different cuts of meats, and have never been disappointed. Homemade sticks are good, and looking for some family fun the pizza kits are a nice change of pace.

This is a great meat store. Great cuts. Super variety. The best burger. Excellent jerky. Lunch meat, cheese, bread, buns, sides. Their own manicotti, lasagna, chili and more in the freezer case. They carry the little extras you may need so you don't have to make a second stop. Friendly people. Great quality and fair prices. In the neighborhood :)

Best butcher shop in the greater NE area. Great meats. Terrific, but really expensive, beef jerky. Best I’ve had. We get the pizza party quite often. More when it goes on sale. 3 pizza crusts, a jar of sauce, cheese slices and their pepperoni and sausage and you DIY at home. Delicious. They have lots of stuff there I still haven’t tried. Best Ribeye I’ve ever bought/made. Friendly staff. One of my favorites.

Excellent local butcher, a true gem in Northeast. The owners are extremely helpful, and donate free hot dogs annually to the Waite Park Fall Festival. They source their meat as locally as possible and don't mind if you ask where it comes from. Excellent brats and hot dogs, chicken breasts that look like they came off a dinosaur, and the bacon is dangerously good. Highly recommended.

Ditch Cub Foods, and head here for your meat needs. It's an "old-fashioned meat market" in the truest sense. Brings me back to when I was growing up and went with my mom downtown to the butcher shop. Their frozen food selection is great too, don't pass that up. Their steaks are excellent, and if you are looking for something in particular, just ask and they are so helpful to get you exactly what you need.

Absolute treasure of our neighborhood. One of the last butcher shops worthy of the title and skill set. Pepperoni slices better than any store. Fresh brats, Amish chickens, pizza crusts and homemade sauce. Real grown up steaks and cuts. Come see for yoirself. Not open Sunday or Monday.

My fiance'and I walked from 18th & Central to 37th and Franklin. Not a small feat for a couple of seniors. Tho the manors were on time, before we were done, the kid helping us was punching out and leaving is with another person. We both felt put off and unimportant by that. We're old school and neither of us would dream of putting a customer of on someone else. But I did appreciate, in this time with Connie 19, that they allowed me to use their bathroom. I have yet to try the meats we purchased, except for the ground pork sausage. I thought it would be like regular bulk sausage, but it was ground too much, more like ground turkey would be. I will go there again to try other meats they have, but that's just the way I am.

I was literally sitting in car in their parking lot and my initial rating was a 1 for poor customer service. I traveled from Richfield Mn to patronize them and felt so uncomfortable with one of the employees. How do you feel uncomfortable spending your $$. I go to meat markets because I want fresh meats and my meats cut a certain way, and the employee made me feel he was bothered by my requests. As im typing the owner Dave came out to my car and introduced himself personally and apologized for whatever happened. For that I rate DAVE for excellent customer service and quality meats. I just prayed that employer would have a better day, but Working in the community you have to leave your personal problems and ATTITUDES at the front door of the business... Thanks Dave

This was my first time here.. I can't speak to the quality of the meat, but I was surprised that the young guy who served me didn't wear any gloves.... He touched pork, beef, and ham with no gloves.. I was very surprised by this.. Seems kind of contaminating.. Not sure I'll come back with the prices and lack of safety.. Others I saw did wear gloves.

Their stuff is great. Steaks are great and decently priced. The filets are really good. If you ever need a good filet, they'll cut you a center cut one as big as you like it and charge you a reasonable $18/lb. I've had the house-made sausages too.. the pork sausage and the habanero extra hot are both super good. I don't like their Italian sausage tho, I just don't think it tastes like Italian sausage. But I'm Italian and grew up with it, they don't have the customer base that riots in the face of bad sausage. But all their other sausage is fantastic. The extra hot habanero I eat for breakfast. They're a little short with you sometimes in there, I've been frowned on for not knowing what I want right away. But once you get talking with the folks, they're nice. It's super old school, they ring you up on a receipt and hand it to you as their way of telling you how much the whole order is. I like it.

This place is just fantastic. It's a small shop and I was surprised to see not just how many customers were in, but how many employees as well. The whole process was slick. You browse the counter, grab a ticket number, a couple minutes later someone calls you up. Also, it was cool to see it right in a Nordeast residential neighborhood.

Each Thanksgiving I get my free-range bird here; already-thawed and ready to cook the night before. Their thick-slice bacon is fantastic and they have really good cuts of pork shoulder for sausage-making. These good folk are running a butcher shop exactly how it should be run: with an eye to local needs and the willingness to adapt to what their customers like. I've been going here for 15 years and won't be stopping any time soon. (A neat side-note is that they also carry pre-made pastas, breads, and other items, many of which come from local suppliers.)

There's a good reason to shop at a butcher shop instead of just going to the grocery store and this place is a reminder of why that is. They have a great selection love beautiful meets, sausages, and lunch meats, as well as frozen prepared foods of good quality. You can buy a premade pizza crust here, their delicious home made pizza sauce, shredded cheese, and many toppings that you might want to build a pizza at home with. They also stock specialties such as porchetta roast and brachiola, as well as basics like potatoes and pasta. Even if you buy the more expensive prepared foods you will still feel like you got a bargain when you leave with your nice heavy bag.
