This is a great butcher and small grocery store. Super friendly staff and good prices for great cuts of meat and a variety of deli options you can't get most other places. Also, the beef jerky here is phenomenal as well as the beef sticks.

I live one block away from this institution. I know that many, many people love it for its butchery, as they should. It’s great, as far as I can tell. But I and several of my non-super-carnivorous neighbors rarely go there because, frankly, their produce sucks. They’ve done an odd thing but putting the produce right near the smoker, such that bare fruits and vegetables become infused with a smoky flavor. And who is their supplier? The quality of much of the produce is poor. I know, I know: this is a meat shop! But they are really missing out on an opportunity here to draw a customer base who isn’t there to buy meat.

Best butcher shop in south Minneapolis, hands down. Go-tos include the meatloaf, which our family stocks up on to stash in the freezer for easy weeknight meals, turkey jerky, steaks, brats, bacon. When I had a dog, the frozen dog bones were wonderful. Knowledgeable, accommodating staff are always willing to help you find exactly what you or your recipe needs. Easy parking too!

The best butcher shop on the south side of Minneapolis. They have an amazing staff who are exceptionally helpful. The selection of meat and cuts are fantastic. On top of that, they have a selection of beef sticks and jerky that I cannot pass up, specifically the sweet and spicy jerky, sooo goood! The groceries there are just a bonus and I try to buy from them to support them whenever I am able.

A wonderful local butcher and grocer. Fantastic staff always. Parking in the front, rear, and side. Can usually find any staple you need. Great prices on great meat. They have some hot grab and go stuff that rotates like ribs, chicken and dumplings, chili, smoked dogs, mac and cheese, etc. My favorites to pick up are the bacon (all kinds are good, the pepper bacon is over by the dairy), chicken thighs, ground sirloin, country ribs, smoked turkey legs, frozen Italian sausage, frozen breakfast sausage, Wee Willy's sauces, and smoked string cheese.

Meats meats and more Meats that's the main reason to go here! The rest of the store is filled with stuff that goes really well with these meats! If you've never stopped at one of the better butcher shops around here. Then you need to at least stop in and try one of the many awesome meat choices that they have. Get some lamb get some Buffalo get some ostrich and if you haven't had one of their many Bacon's you've not yet Lived!

Great place to buy meat!! They have the most amazing smoked stuff, including awesome did bones that leave your pup smelling great. They also have some general groceries there too. Would be 5 stars, but we've ordered some cuts from them before and have had issues multiple (so most) times, with some not being ready on time or else we go on and they have no record of any order.

This is definitely the best neighborhood grocery in Minneapolis, and it might be the best butcher shop. Family-owned and operated, you get the best customer service. I love the hot polish. The bacon is awesome. I love the big wings for the grill in the summer. And their oven roasted turkey makes the best turkey sandwich. This place is a real South Minneapolis gem!

Great place. The staff carries my bags to my vehicle without me asking. They are great with my kids. Always offering a sample. This is the best place in Minnesota to buy meat! Hands down. I drive almost an hour to shop here. And we have other meat shops around us. My family has shoped this location since before I was a thought. Great staff and exceptional product you can trust. What a gem of a neighborhood place. I get all my fresh meat here, plus any items I need that night for dinner. The smoked meats are delicious, especially the beef sticks and the hot polish sausages. Everyone working there is unbelievably nice. If we ever move out of the neighborhood I would drive back just for the meat!

Everett's is my go to local meat market here in Minneapolis. It reminds me of the market back where I grew up in rural Iowa farm country. All the employees are genuine and truly know their products. I went in recently to get a large order of stewed meat, they were out, but the kind man behind the counter was quick to say just give him a minute and he will cut up a roast right there for me. The way to our hearts in our household is our stomachs and you will not be disappointed by the quality they offer.

I have tried multiple things at Everett’s and figured it was time to write a review. I enjoyed the New York steak but have tried the brats which were flavorless and extremely dry, the porketta which just was bad , the meatloaf which was terrible. The textured was so bad, the flavor made you think you were eating one giant Italian sausage . Our family only ate half and tossed the rest in disgust. I also got a ribeye which was so fatty that I only got about 1/4 meat. I would expect that from Cub Foods but not a local meat place. The one thing I really enjoy is the customer service and getting my jerky meat there. I still will go back for that but nothing else.

Tied for the best place in town (vrs. Ingebretzens on Lake street) for Swedish Sausage. [Perhaps also Liver Pate (others call it Braunschweiger).] Only downside is they freeze it right away, and don't wait for the end of the day. (Made ~2 x week.) Also has a lot of other (now) rarely found meat products.

Right on the corner of Cedar and 38th - just a great little neighborhood grocery. I'm pretty huge into produce, it's a smaller department but stocked full and the fruit literally looks like high farmers market quality. They have their own butcher shop and it's all fresh. It may just be specials, but a few things I noticed were under what you would pay somewhere like Cub. First time there, definitely not the last.

They're always kind n curtious when I go there. They answer my questions and are very perfectional. They carry my meat to the car with a smile. The meat is awesome! Very tender, less fat, and super flavorful. Not to mention the variety, they have some of everything there. I recommend them to everyone. One last thing. The place is well kept too. Unlike alot of chain type grocery stores, Evertt's has retained and remaines a small town type grocer. The meat counter is second to none. For sure try the moms meatloaf. If you like oldschool type service give them a try. You won't be disappointed

As kids back in the 60s, my friend and I would go to Everetts and get free samples of lunch meat, then stop by the Rustic Tavern where his mom worked for a coke. Everetts is still owned by the same guy, and he still works the meat counter! I am very happy I rediscovered this gem. Delicious steaks, my favorite cuts are the rib eye and NY strip. The prices are great, and the place is a 60s throwback, just like I remembered it.
