The prices were good and it seems like they are taking in new product on a regular basis. I am from out of town but would definitely stop by this store again if I am ever in the area.

I drive all the way from S Dakota to shop here! Marc has gone out of his way to fill 99% of my want lists, even when it comes to pretty obscure stuff. He also gives me multiple grade options as I prefer higher grades. Prices are fair and the only thing keeping me from spending more is limited budget. I have no problem spending thousands every time I'm here if I have the money! All I need to do is ask about something and he will take time to find it so that next time I'm in, he has it for me. Prairie Dog Comics and Marc are my all time favorite comic store hands down! Looking at purchasing modern to bronze to silver age today including many keys and hard to find variants!

This is the most legit Comic Book store anyone is going to find in Wichita Ks..!!! Hands down, the best place to find the most obscure nerd content. The staff is very happy and willing to help with whatever you are looking for. They keep a fair amount of popular stock on hand along with new and current issues, but what makes them more unique than other places is they have their finger on the pulse to get you whatever you're looking for. The people who run this are not in it for the profit, prairie dog has been around for a long time. They are in it for their love of comics.

There's not a local comic shop where I live so I decided to check this place out when taking a day trip to Wichita and now it's the shop I exclusively use to get my comics. Staff is super helpful and they usually always have what I'm looking for. If not, they're more than happy to order what I'm looking for. They're really friendly and even recognize my wife and I even though we're not able to visit very often. I can't recommend them enough. I always look forward to going back.

Currently this is one of my favorite comic shops in the mid-west! A true gem. An amazing selection of back issues with even more hidden away in the back. I've spent small fortunes here, and will probably continue to do so for several decades more. There's endless treasures here, new and old! Mark (owner) would just keep pulling treasures out of the back, things I didn't know I wanted but had to have them, lol. I definitely enjoyed my visit, will be back!

I've been shopping PDC for over 10 years. They have a consistent in-house subscription (this is why I switched to this LCS from another) and friendly and helpful staff. They keep track of the books I like and pull new titles related to my interests. PDC has earned my loyalty. Also: tons of back issues and random goodies. This is hands down the best comics shop in the state.

I've been shopping here for 20+ years and I have seen other shops come and go. Prarie Dog doesn't rely on gimmicks or fads. They cater to FANS and comic book collectors. I don't care how "cool" the place looks or doesn't look, I know without a doubt Mark and the staff will always have friendly words for me, and greet me with my pull list right away. Great customer service, extensive selection from back issues, hard to find obscure titles, magazines and toys, to the latest issues of my favorite books. Love this place.

Best comic shop in town. Great selection of new and old comics, Magic and Pokémon cards and comic book supplies. If you don't see what you're after ask the owner- Mark. He's a great guy with thousands more comics in the back. They also have a pull service so you never miss the latest comics and the pull service gets you a discount.

They have a large selection of comics, but are frequently out of more popular issues, that they don't restock, leaving you with the options of ordering it directly from them or setting up a pull list. However, I've had so many issues with orders not arriving or being canceled and having to reorder and none of this being communicated until I'm in the store to pick up my order. Needless to say, I no longer order from them. I do now have a pull list and have had very few problems with it. Additionally, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. You are barely acknowledged when you walk in and during your transaction, but employees have a wealth of knowledge about comics. It seems like they are more concerned with the gaming events they host then the actual customers in the store. Every once in a while you'll find an employee who is friendly and helpful, but it's rare and they don't seem to last long.

This is the first comic book store I've ever been to, my wife and I had just taken our 3 boys to the avengers movie and were still hyped from it so when we seen the store we decided to stop. Was pretty neat, had a ton of different types of comics and collectables. Only reason for the 4 stars is that my youngest is a huge spider man fan so that was his pick. A random issue from the 90s cost $4, seemed a little steep, but other than that a good first experience!

So I have never been in a comic store always wanted to but never really made the time. Just a dream ya know. But this day was awesome and will forever be an halarious memory. So it's free comic book day there I was being a shut in and not wanting to go. But I got up got dressed and headed to Wendy's, sorry I was hungry. Big hungry not little hungry. Hehe. Anywho, I finally got there and there was a long line and I thought to just go home and forget it. But then there was a raffle. Clever little prairie dogs! Lol. Finally I get inside, I would put cue angel music but it wasn't awe-inspiring like that it was more like, OMG! A girly thing, but I was over excited in my brain but was trying to keep it cool ya know lol. So I'm going thru the line first awesome thing that happened is I was listening to one of the store employees telling a customer we get 3 free comics. I was like, Wait a minute, WHAT! AWESOME! See, I was told that we would get 2 free. Hence my excitement. The line moves again. This other employee walk behind the counter that the line is in front of and starts asking trivia questions. Everytime someone would get it right he would toss mints out like it was fairy dust and said "Candy! Candy for everyone"! Haha Candy, it was mints lol but the good ones. I'm enjoying my comics and grabbed one for my brother as well so that was cool. I'll definitely be back!😎

Staff is well knowledgable and has great customer service. Offer many gaming items, comics, graphic novels etc. Most people that complain about the store are rude customers that go in trying to start things with the staff, or customers that don't like the way some of the events are handled.

I had shopped a PDC off and on for years until about 2 1/2 years ago, then I began to really start collecting comics. I chose to set up pull list for about 12 different series and at times to pull for entire events. I can't say it has always been perfect. A few times comics would be missed and then sold out-of-stock that should have gotten pulled but this hasn't happened in over a year. I was told the changed computer systems and that led to the issues. I give them 5 stars because they have always strived to make things right and the entire staff is friendly and shares a passion for comics. This is not a store that just sells merchandise, the staff knows their product and they care about it. The staff also cares about there client base and will often make suggestions based on your interest. It is worth noting that if you like to collect variants PDC often gets a good selection but either ask to have variants pulled or arrive on Wednesday to get them because they will disapear. Extremely rare retailer incentive variants don't show up as often and you are better off looking at larger online retailers for those.

Comics! This place lives up to its name...wall to wall comics. Couldn't find a genre or publisher that I could remember that I couldn't find somewhere on the walls. Unlike some places, there's room to bend over while checking for your favorite editions without bumping into another rack behind you. Staff was really friendly. I'll call them downright jolly during our couple minutes "geeking out" over various pop culture interpretations of our childhood favorites. Dice and sourcebooks were a little thin, but a quick question to the staff let me know they'd had a sale that weekend and I showed up before the delivery they'd already placed to restock came in. Heroclicks and gift items were still on tap so I'm not concerned about general inventory levels and can firmly recommend them for the comic geek in your life.
