A friend recommended I visit Loyalty Books, (from Northern VA.) Absolutely, well worth trek across river and time spent. Loved everything!! From excellent selection to service with a smile, the friendly, knowledgeable staff made for a wonderful book buying experience. I highly recommend and will visit again very soon.

My favorite bookstore! Constantly having events, the staff is super sweet, large selection of books and other items. Representation matters so much so it’s nice to see a lot of black artists showcased whether that’s an author, a mug, cards, or cookbooks. Love this place!

This bookstore is one of the best I've ever been to. One thing that blew me away was how many signed copies of books were available for the same price as other unsigned books! The staff were super friendly and helpful. This store was bright and colorful and so well curated, organized, and displayed. There were so many gems throughout (like more signed copies!) and if I could, I would easily spend my whole paycheck in there. When I think of magical bookstores, this is one of them. 5/5

I was walking my dog one day and ran into the owner who was setting up shop. A lovely person with a fantastic selection of books. I came back with my wallet and the employee was able to recommend 2 amazing books based on what information I gave. They have done an excellent job managing covid and I absolutely will continue shopping at this black owned, inclusive shop.

I desperately needed some books and couldn't do a lot of local shopping during these COVID times. I was tired of giving my money to Amazon, and I heard that Loyalty Bookstore will ship to anywhere in the U.S. I found and ordered the books I needed, and I was fully prepared to wait weeks for them to arrive. Instead, Loyalty Bookstore was FASTER than Amazon! I had my books within two days in pristine condition! I will gladly recommend these folks to anyone.

Love my neighborhood bookstore here, you can buy books in the store or order them on special order. They also now sell vinyl and knickknacks like cute magnets. The staff is always helpful and friendly and the hours are great if you want to stop in before dinner.

Best bookstore in DC. Children's sing along with bear song on Sundays is a real community asset. Great book selection, enough so that President Obama and his kids did Christmas shopping here a few years back.
