The ladies here are fantastic and very knowledgeable. It is a very overwhelming experience and unfortunately we didn't buy anything because we were so overwhelmed. The store is a little small and packed, but those ladies know where EVERYTHING is, which is such a huge help!

Love this store! Lots of curriculum, supplementals and sometimes even free items! Great place, staff are very friendly and helpful. If they don’t know the answer, they will surely find it with pleasure. I drive an hour to get here from NC and it’s always worth it! You can also post whether they have curriculum or not to their Facebook page and they will get back with you almost always on the same day as long as it’s a business day. Or if you need a quicker answer give them a call. I can’t say enough that the staff are so friendly and helpful. I got this cute bumper sticker for my car and one for my husbands. Got some great books and workbooks. While here the staff helped me to find what they had available for teaching using DVDs (They had the famous IEW for writing available). They also gave me a long list to go home with to do research on which has been incredibly beneficial! I also found some Great Courses DVDs here too! Prices here are not negotiable that I know of but are all reasonably priced. There is also a discount section with books with perhaps a bit more wear or some damage to spine etc so they are very well marked down. I believe they also have a shelf with everything being one dollar or less than ten. (Can’t remember which so don’t quote me but keep an eye out for it) They have a bit of everything here even tons of electives such as foreign language. I saw material for German & Dutch, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, lots of Latin, French, and mega huge selection of Spanish. There is also Music and appreciation, as well as art and history with appreciation. Curricula for all grade levels from pre k to 12th grade as well as advanced classes such as Calculus and many more! I was so surprised by their selection. Having heavily researched all kinds of curricula or so I thought, I was surprised to find many gems I hadn’t even heard of. If you are a homeschooler, or educator this store is worth a visit. They also have special deals for if you trade in your curriculum for new. It is very well organized with much in alphabetical order for core curriculum &electives. They also have a kid sized table and chairs for students that may come that want to read or draw while the parent shops. The staff, told me there was an interest in other homeschoolers to learn German. We will be moving to Norfolk in a month, will need to get with the staff again to see if anyone really is interested in taking German classes with me. Would be super! Danke fürs Lesen! Needed guidance on how to homeschool my 7th grader as it’s my first time. The staff was very helpful and friendly! I’d be completely lost if it wasn’t for them! I highly recommend this place! They are all sweethearts here and live helping and answering questions!

A gem of a store! I have homeschooled in three states thus far, but have never come across a used book store created especially for me. The staff helped me find specific items tailored to my kids' needs, and after listening to my particular requests, were able to guide me toward curricula that will really benefit us in the coming years. The prices are great, with new sales happening each month.

If you are currently homeschooling or considering homeschooling, come visit these for ladies. They are very knowledgeable and very helpful. Their prices on books are very reasonable, they may not have everything but they will try to get it for you if they are able to. Highly recommend! I have learned a lot from them and hope to continue to do so!

The young girl is extremely nice and helpful. The owner and Cristel were not. I've waited and waited to ask a question of each, on different visits. Prices are a bit high. They have items from goodwill and DAV, that still have prices tags on them, yet Moore Expressions priced them higher. Remove old price tags, ladies. It's not good for business. Not much of a variety in the area for homeschool supplies, so they should be much better than they are. Always customers here though. A tiny thrift section also.

The staff are wonderful. They are very knowledgeable on the cirriculums they offer and can recommend cirriculums based on your families unique learning and teaching styles/needs. The store is PACKED with rows of cirriculum which is wonderful for getting to see the options in person vs just online reviews. They do sell gently used cirriculum and manipulatives, which helps make home schooling more affordable as well. The only thing I can say that could be against the store (depending on your views) is to fully expect to walk into a store with tight quarters where no one will be wearing a mask. If you are covid conscious, it is very very difficult to socially distance in this store.

Homeschool central, if you are homeschooling or thinking about it this place is a wealth of knowledge. The staff here care and know what they are doing. They have a good selection of new and used curriculum, and deep discounts on discontinued curriculum as well as free items outside the door. I highly suggest giving this place a look, if you have old or no longer used items it can be sold to the store as well.

I have been going here for the last 10 years. They really built my confidence when I started homeschooling my 2 older children. There were so many times I wasnt sure if I was doing okay , or 9f I needed to switch Math curriculums and they would let me spend my time looking over the different books. Now I have a preschooler with special needs and they as always took their time with me and went over the different programs I can use. They are always their to help any newbie to homeschooling as well as a veteran . They are such a asset to the homeschooling community always, but since the Covid-19 they have really branched out to support all of the new homeschoolers!!

BEST Homeschool store I have ever visited. They have both new & used products-- curriculum, games, and tons of books! They buy curriculum --new/used, and it is sometimes less than what I hope for--However!! That means that the purchase prices are typically very good AND I don't have to keep a pile of books & such cluttering up my house as I wait to try to sell it on my own. Overall, I believe it is very fair. Also, since it is run by HS moms, they are an absolute wealth of knowledge & wisdom when it comes to knowing about all sorts of curricula & resources for all different sorts of learners (Thanks, Crystal!). A MUST VISIT for anyone who homeschools or wants to start!

I came here with only a reference from someone in my neighborhood via Nextdoor. I had no clue what I needed, how I was going to do it, and with a bunch of questions. These ladies were so very very helpful. I was elated when I found out I didn't need to wait til the end of a semester to start Homeschool. So with just a couple weeks left before the regular school semester starting, I went through and found the curriculum with the help of Traci that would fit best to my child. I was also given many resources that give more support online. We just started our school year and we're doing well so far. I'll be going through Moore Expressions for school books from now on. I am so glad to be apart of the Moore Expressions Homeschooling Family!

The ladies there are very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a vast selection of curriculums and supplies. I really loved the small play area they have for kids to be entertained while their parents shop! They give out information about local homeschool groups, local classes, and help you get started if you're new to homeschooling. I would highly recommend Moore Expressions for anyone looking for a way to be more proactive with their children's education.

I love Cherile and Tracy!!! So very helpful! Just watch your return book fees....the lady assumes that all African Americans buy used and only gives a $25 credit while others receive major store credits! I buy NEW...I don't want hand me downs for my child's education so i pay a good $250- '$300 very year for his NEW books every time!!

A great resource for homeschoolers I. The area. One note, that is not listed on the hours information, the Thursday that they are open later is meant to be child free time. Which is rough when you have little children and that's the only time you can come, having no babysitter.
