Book lovers dream. I LOVE the unusual sections because I go in looking for something and it is shelved between two completely different somethings. The staff is wonderful. It is unbelievable she can find something instantly if you need it, but also let's me sit in my happy place halfway down a stack, wedged between to two towers of books happily finding my own treasures. My only request would be for the love of goddess, buy the space next to you and get more stuff :)

What a FABULOUS store! If you're a bibliophile like me, you'll definitely want to stop in - just make sure you've got time to browse! This is not a tiny store, it's actually a pretty good sized place, but it's wall-to-wall books, with a couple of chairs scattered around so you can catch your breath before wading back in. The owner mans the register and has a VAST and eclectic knowledge about every book I'VE ever asked about, as well as the author, and even some obscure quotes from the story some times! Whether you're reading for fun, for your education, for your job, or general research, you'll probably find the right book here, but if she doesn't have it, she's likely to know where she can find it! She also buys your used books (or buys back whatever you're purchasing) for store credit - and it's not a few cents per book, she's VERY fair with giving credit! On top of that, this lady has such a warm, welcoming personality, you'll want to return and return again!

Love this store. Always seem to find something here and the lady is always super nice and helpful. She's a hoot. If you get a chance to go to the black Friday sale it is well worth it. The credit system is great and she's been adding little things as well like pins and book marks.

For an avid reader, this place is a little slice of heaven, being run by a true believer! Very well organized, reasonable prices, and a generous buy back/trade in policy. Just moved to the area and my mom told me about an awesome little bookstore she knew. When we stepped in, I automatically felt that comfortable feeling. There's nothing quite like a small, locally-owned bookstore. Everything was well organized and the owner was knowledgeable about what she had and where everything was. The organization system was pretty cool and she was sure to tell me about the selection she had on local authors and how she interviews some of them and has the interviews available on YouTube and Facebook. The store is LGBTQ+ friendly and when I let the owner know I was part of the community, she told me of local bars, drag shows, and upcoming pride related events. Awesome experience and I'll definitely be back time and time again!

Fell in love with this bookstore! I’m always on the hunt for more used book stores and this place did not let me down. The owner was extremely helpful in explaining the layout and all this store has to offer. She was always very friendly, welcoming & open to answering any questions. It was finally awesome to meet somebody with such great people person skills and has a lot of pride in their business. Very rare to find these days. Love our local bookstore! The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable, and will find /order any book you need, if they don't happen to have it. Store is well organized, and also a treasure hunt - I find something new to read every time I'm there. They accept cash & cards, and are open Monday - Friday 10am - 7 pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm, 1st Sundays of the month, (25% Off Reg Used Books) Noon-4pm. HIghly recommended ;)

Oh my goodness, this place is the greatest! The person who owns it is so charming and clearly loves what she does. The buyback program is also impressive, I brought in 3 books in used condition and got $4.50 in store credit, which is way better than most places. They have both popular and niche books, as well as a section for local authors which is awesome.

The exchange system here rocks! Such an eclectic collection of quality authors and titles. Very community oriented with special handmade things like holiday cards, bookmarks etc. Couldn't ask for a more friendly, cozy and nurturing feel in a bookstore. One of my favorite things during my visit was the cool collection of old chairs you can lounge in during your visit. Nostalgia Lane 😁

This is an awesome book store with a great selection of books--especially children's literature. I enjoyed the extensive "book to movie" section of the store. The buyback program which the store has is also awesome. See the website for an explanation--i'm feeling too lazy to type it up. :p Make sure to take a respectful, gentle look at the scrapbook the owner has of her great-uncle's time as a soldier in the Pacific before WWII.

They have an eclectic selection, popular, adventure, scifi fantasy as well as nonfiction, occasionally academic books, cookbooks, really a bit of everything you can think of. The store is neat and well managed and the owner knows where everything is located. I found some Hardy Boys books for my grandson and a Stephen King book that is hard to find. The books are in good condition and reasonably priced it is worth the trip to the Paperback Book Exchange.

Joan, the owner, has done a great job with this business. She has lots of inventory, decent prices. I think the actual price, which is half of new reduces as you trade back in. I haven't done that yet but plan on doing so. Really not too many stores left like this. Hope she makes it.

Nice selection and well organized. Paperbacks only. Reasonable trade in credits for in store purchases. Not too many used book stores left in Pasco and most are dig for it piles. This one's nice and neat, a lil crowded, but easy to find your genre or author. I'll be back.

This is a small easy to miss places which is a shame because its one of the best used book stores I have been to, the lady who works there is extremely knowledgeable and is always willing to help you find what you need or something similar to it. They also have a program for selling books to them that is the best out there. I highly recommend any book lover to give this place a try, you wont be disappointed!!

Had a church thumping, burn the heratics and ANYONE different on loud speaker out front when We went into store. Even though I PERSONALLY believe The Paperback Exchange to be a bit on the pricey side(given the fact it IS a USED bookstore) it IS a REALLY decent, local little bookstore with QUITE the selection of reading material. The only other bookstore(NEWorUSED) that I'm even aware of in the Port Richey/New Port Richey area is BAM(Books-A-Million)...so let me NOT talk about high prices. 😁😁
