A great, well run, and friendly used book store. The owner/staff are very personable! It's a cozy shop with a wide variety of stock to choose from, and they take your used books for store credit. When you do not need the credit, they're happy to hold it for teachers and students to use! I could't recommend it more highly.

Nice shop, and great selection of books. Definitely recommend! I would give it 5 stars but my only complaint is that sometimes (not always) the prices are a bit much for used hardbacks, I've had quite a few times where I've found hardcover books I wanted to buy, but they were priced too high for used books.

I have been going here for some time and am always amazed at how great the prices are, staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their inventory as well as remembering you and what genre you enjoy. They always have suggestions based on my reading choices. Great place to go if you need books!!

6-Stars: This kind of store makes me wish I saved my 5-star for these rare, precious occasions that a store is so stand-out that I just cannot wait for my next chance to go back and buy more! From the INCREDIBLY (unbelievably!) knowledgeable and helpful staffing to the incredibly fair pricing it is a treat to have found such a place :) If you landed on their "Google page" here, do not delay or 2nd-guess just go for it you will NOT be let down!

I like the layout and how well organized the store is. The staff is friendly as well. However, they only take payments in cash and store credit. That’s fine, but maybe put a sign up on the door saying as much, or when staff greets people who walk in tell them. Square readers are relatively cheap and we’re just out of a pandemic, so the cash thing is strange. I was disappointed to have found some great books only to be unable to purchase them due to this.

I got these awesome books today from my first time at the Book Swap. You can use the credit from books you swap for up to 50% of your purchase on the books there. I found so many great books in great condition and authors and highly recommend this store.

Well organized selection of high quality used books. Would have taken a few more titles, but disappointed to discover cash only policy. It wasn't clear why, as the lovely woman behind the register had a smartphone and apps for both PayPal and Square are easily available, but if it's working for them, so be it. If I lived in that area, I'd still be a regular customer.

Great local bookstore! Much larger than anticipated from the parking lot. Staff very friendly and helpful. Some kind of credit towards next purchase when you bring back books purchased here (have only visited the one time so far). It is a little bit of a drive for us, but we will definitely be back!

First time there and bought 7 books!! The place seemed small from the parking lot but was longer inside then expected. The store was arranged beautifully so it was extremely easy to browse. The woman at the front (I stupidly did not get her name) was very knowledgeable and fun to chat with! The selection of authors and titles was perfect for me. I will definitely be going back again and again and again!!!!

I grew up visiting the Book Swap in Dunedin often as a child. I loved each time my family would go there and the great books I discovered. It holds great memories for me. I discovered and often bought the Love Inspired series there. I was really dissapointed it closed but excited that there was this other Book Swap still here in Palm Harbor for my child to enjoy. It is cozy and quaint and they are helpful. I think it would be awesome and add to the ambiance if there was quiet Classical Christmas music playing. We've loved finding childrens Christmas books here in the past. I understand you aren't carrying the Love Inspired series but would love it if you consider it as I am very interested in buying books from that series.

I just love coming to Book Swap! Its so awseome. I love to read lot! You can get credit by bringing in books. Its a good deal for the children's books with some credit. The children's books are cheap compared to big bookstores selling new books. The books are in good condition too. The children's section is awseome!! There's a lot of great kids book's. They have my favorites like Magic Treehouse, Nancy Drew, Anne of Green Gables. They have the whole Anne of Green Gables series which im reading right now and for sure will get some more soon! They have a good amount of Nancy Drew too. I was sadly dissipointed to find out they didn't have any Mandie Mystery books from the 90s by Lois Gladys Leppard. I hope some will come in. I just love, love, love those books! The lady at the desk was freindly and nice too and helpful as well. If you love to read good old book's you need to come here. Especially for children. This is so worth it!!

My favorite bookstore!! There’s not a lot of places around that sell affordable books and have such a good selection!! They also will write your name & number down if they don’t have a book you want that time so when/if it comes in they’ll call you! The employees are so sweet and welcoming and will assist in any questions or help finding a book! It’s a great place and I recommend it to anyone I talk to really!

I stopped in here while visiting the nearby bike shop and had a great experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The selection is great and the prices are very reasonable. Went back a second time and was able to get some great recommendations. If I wasnt only visiting I'd definitely be a regular.

Wonderful little place of used books. Rather quaint and the employees are helpful. But you pretty much have to know what your looking for. The shelves are so packed it's hard to find stuff, even though the aisles are marked. You could be here all day looking through their selection. Although that could be good if you have a lot of time.

This store is awesome they have alot of books. They didn't buy alot of the one's I brought in but I still rec'd some credits on my account to use for my next purchase. It is a good idea to clean out books and take them here or donate them. There are book houses set up as well take a book leave a book but if you like to read this store should be your first stop.

If you enjoy reading then you will like the Book Swap! You can bring in you own books, hard covered or paperback, in good condition and you'll get store credit. Then you can look for your favorite author and pick what books you want. Then those books are added up and you're store credit is subtracted from the total. When you've finished reading those books bring them back and swap them out for new ones.

We read the review below and were disappointed once we got there. There was LOADS of romantic fiction, and altho I DO enjoy that from time to time, it seemed like it would have been more accurately called The Barbara Delinsky Book Swap! Yes, there were some rare books, but as I'm not a huge fan of 1950's childrens' books of rhyme, I found nothing to interest me in that section. The trade book area is literally about 3 feet long and 3 shelves tall; and most of THOSE were romantic fiction, as well. We were the only customers, and the woman behind the counter was clearly aggravated that she had to turn off her books on tape because we were there (even tho we repeatedly said, "nope, that's fine, please don't turn it off on our account"). I thought she was just cranky, but then a regular customer came in, and she was all smiles and giggle toward him. I guess she just didn't like us? In any event, we won;t be back....still looking for a good used book store, heard about a place in Dunedin; any thoughts?
