Still feel like I'm getting my feet wet in the comics arena, and both this and the South County location do a great job of making things accessible in a non-Comic Book Guy sort of way. Titles are organized alphabetically by publisher, then title. There's more than just comics here as well, with board games, paints, figurines, dice, and a whole lot more. The clerks are friendly and full of advice, there also seem to be a lot of extra events going on as well, make sure to keep up with them on Facebook.

This place is has a lot of interesting items. Unusual Board games, some DND paraphernalia, and a good variety of comics- including some manga.

I have some old comics and was looking for some advice on value and if I should get them graded. They were very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I also inquired about their Pokemon inventory and they have Pokemon games on Sunday in the store, a great spot to teach kids about the game.

They are super accommodating and have a great collection. I pick up all my paints and comics here. I even had an issue with some paints I purchased and they were willing to exchange them! Wonderful team!

Great place with a wide selection for comic fans. Their new release wall had everything I wanted. When I messaged looking for an issue I missed, they had it saved for me at the counter the next day! Highly recommended for the die-hard and casual comics afficiandos!

My favorite local comic book store! Great selection of new and back issue comics. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. If an item isn't in stock, they do their best to obtain it for you. It's great that they greet regular customers by name, but are also very welcoming to all!

Shane and Abbey were very knowledgable, kind, and helpful when I visited for the first time today. Shane gave me the shelf by shelf your (Im a comic noob) and Abbey helped me figure out which product was which when deciding on a D&D DM Screen. In addition to pleasant staff I found the place well stocked with all the essentials for my gaming needs, a wide selection of current and past comics, figurines, manga, and many more! I will be returning as well as visiting the other branches in the near future!

Small store. Had some figures that we liked, most at decent prices, but nothing uncommon. More importantly, I stood at the counter for like 5-10 minutes waiting to pay & the worker kept walking past us without acknowledging we were there. His boss had to tell him to go ring us up.

The employees are very helpful and friendly. The store has a surprisingly strong variety of products available despite its smaller size (compared to other locations of the chain). It's definitely a fun place to check out if you're into comics, RPGs, or tabletop gaming in general.

Much improved location, but their game inventory suffers in comparison to what I recall before they moved. Perhaps they sold a bunch for the holidays and haven't restocked yet. If this is their intended stock, then board gamers would be better served by heading west to Miniature market.

These shops came up on Google as Warhammer vendors but after showing up at one location, we were told they no longer sold Warhammer products and to try the other location 20 minutes away. When we arrived at the second location, they told us it was the other locations that sold Warhammer. I understand if you're moving away from tabletop games but maybe update your Google page and let your staff know? I'm in town for a short visit and my parents wanted to buy me an early birthday present. We were all 3 left very disappointed.

Best game shop in St. Louis, bar none. Knowledgeable staff-member was very helpful with suggestions for two-player strategy games for my wife and I. Bonus Points for not even blinking when two transgender women walked into the store. I have to admit, I'm a little sad about their new location; I've been shopping at this store for 30 years and I'll miss the nostalgia. They're apparently not going far however, and I hope the new store opens more opportunities for them.

It's difficult to find a shop that does both table top gaming and comic books very well. Typically one over takes the other and makes the shop feel incomplete. Fantasy Shop has nailed it, bringing both their gaming and comic book selection to life. I was surprised to find everything I was looking for and more. I was surprised over and over by the variety of products I had no idea I had even wanted until I saw them on the shelf. Liam, in particular, was fantastic and made my experience. Very much looking forward to coming back here.

Great game shop with a lively tabletop community willing to accept any and all. As an avid Dnd player I was excited to be welcomed with open arms into several parties and the staff went out of their way to inform me of the schedules and means to join any and all tabletop groups. They also have a decent selection of Warhammer and other model based tabletop games. Great spot.

Of all the Fantasy Shops in St Louis, this one is my personal favorite. Why? It has a small shop one on one vibe going. A lot like a good hobby shop(of which there are few of now). I'm not the comic book or gamer type and like to get the Citadel paints from them here as they keep things well stocked and the staff have been quite helpful over the years!

Super helpful staff! It's a small shop, so there in store stuck isn't as great as some bigger stores, but what they don't have they are more than happy to order in for you. They are a location for RPG Guild of Greater St Louis, so you can find people to play just about any game from Pathfinder to 40k.

Good selection of comics and RPGs. Well-organized in a small space, it still has room for miniatures, dice, and board games. The location is a bit out-of-the-way, and parking is tight. But it is definitely worth visiting.

Great and Fantastic place to go to. The staff is exstreamly nice and helpful. Plus if there is a Comic, board game, miniature, and etc you are looking for, the staff on hand will more than gladly order it in just for you. They are even willing to hold items to the side for you, for an entire week so you can stop by when its convenient to your squedual. Not to mention any orders you make with them, as they come in the staff will give you a ring and let you know that your merchandise has arrived. All in all I give this place a 5 out of 5. The store is nice, clean, and fun to look around in. The staff is also nice and exstreamly helpful. As well as the staff is willing to help you get what you are looking for including special orders. And lastly but not least...... ITS A HOME GROWN STL BUSINESS!!!!! This awsome store is owned and ran by people who were born in raised in STL. Which personally makes it all the more worth to support the localy owned and ran shop.

I like that there is a front door and a back door by the parking lot accessible to everyone. Also we just happened to go on black Friday and the guy working there made sure to let us know about all the deals of that day and the next which was small business saturday. They had everything we where looking for (Dnd mats and figs and dice) and I was able to find some Christmas gifts too. They have everything from cards and figures to posters and manga. Great place for anyone who loves table top games or popculture.

Moved to Maplewood last May and I am so grateful we have a shop like this nearby. Everything is organized so well by publisher and alphabetically. It makes it very easy to find what you need, although someone has come up and greeted me every time I have come in to make sure I didn't need anything specific. Have be recommended so many great series. The staff is great you can tell they go the extra mile to make the shop fun and welcoming for us all. Strongly recommend for anyone looking for board games, comics, manga, mini figures, t-shirts, and even a section in the back for younger kids. Honestly, even if they don't have what you're looking for I bet it will be a great experience just going in. 👍
