Reviews of Third Place Books Ravenna
Absolutely lovely cozy local bookstore. Called to ask if they had one book (online said 1 copy was in stock), they IMMEDIATELY picked up, found it for me and held it at the front desk while I headed over. Extremely efficient and friendly service and so many tempting gifts and reads inside to browse :)
Went for a reading. While waiting for it to start we got coffee and pastry. Good coffee, and their chocolate baklava was out of this world.
So, okay, it's a book store WITH a cafe, upstairs, and full-on restaurant/pub downstairs. Upstairs has a seating area set aside for those who choose to take advantage of the cafe food.
The whole store smells of books and adventure.
A good place to chill and study. A wide selection of books with a nice staff to match it. One time though I tried selling like 4 books and they only gave me 7 dollars in return. Still 5 stars though.
Nice place and peaceful. The staff are very friendly. There are a lot of new and used books with various kinds. The café in the bookstore is a good idea to work and study.
Nice place with coffee shop & very kind and helpful clerks. A lot of books are well codified according to new books and used books. Plus, you can sell your used books here.
This is a great shoppe. I very much enjoyed the children's and the graphic novel sections. I wanted to purchase so many books for my students. However, flying back home with them would have been too much. I plan to visit this lovely bookstore and its cafe again when I return to Seattle.
Hands down best bookstore. Local independent bookstore; lots of book recommendations from knowledgeable staff, well curated selection of books, gifts, all types of genres very well represented. Excellent selection of used books as well. I’ve taken my hoards of gently read books there many times and been well credited. I would say best in the area as far as how much credit you can earn for used books.
Came to check out the coffee shop and was wow-ed by the book store. Ended up getting a book to go with my coffee. Also they will buy used books from you, how cool is that?
Great bookstore. They have a lot of autographed books.
Third Place Books Ravenna is a classic bookshop.
Set in a pleasant Seattle neighborhood, Third Place has an ambiance that exudes both a great emphasis on quality customer service, and a passion for books.
The shop is a wonderful setting for browsing titles. Its a great place for children, with a tremendous age-appropriate section guaranteed to delight kids of all ages, and bring smiles to parents' faces.
The book keepers do a fantastic job of curating popular new titles, and making certain that there are plenty of all-time favorites to flip through as well.
Enjoy your visit and the meal you can get in the adjacent restaurant - Cafe Arta & Pub.
Third place has been a touchstone throughout the pandemic. Now we're able to come in and dawdle, which is absolutely delightful. The staff are incredibly helpful and thoughtful. And the books can't be beat. We discover new adventures every time we visit. Thank you!
Love this shop in every way possible. From the numerous selections of literature, snappy book orders that appear like magic, to the every," one is welcome" kind of feel. I will be back again and again, my whole family loves the experience.
Nice little book store. Good selection. I love the mix of new and old books. Thier prices on new books are list and thier used books are slightly discounted. They pay fair prices for used books but are very selective. You won't find great deals here but you are far more likely to find something interesting that neither a chain bookstore nor a typical bargain bin used bookstore would have.
very nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly, HOWEVER the prices are extremely high. Like used books around $15-20 and new books around $30. If price doesn't matter to you, it a nice store. But for me, this is a deal breaker. I'm not going to pay $26 for a used book that I could buy for $14 new online. I like those used book stores with $5-10 each books. Too pricy
Always a beautiful book shopping experience. Friendly and genuine staff, great Cafe partnership, wonderful location, and great visual atmosphere. I don't know what to say other than that I would give Third Place Ravenna 10/5 stars if I could! I'll be back, and I look forward to another great visit and experience. Thank you!
The ambiance is calm and welcoming. They have a great selection of books, and their staff are charismatic. Cafe Arta is also a wonderful place to visit (inside the location) for a good cup of coffee & brunch!
I love bookstores, and Third Place is an especially lovely little place. I have gone a good couple of times, and every time I have enjoyed myself. I took my brother here for his birthday, and he got some legoes. After we got some drinks at the connected cafe, we left and got lost. In any case we had fun. Overall, I definitely recommend this to anyone in the area!
Hadn't been in this building since it was the PCC a million years ago and it is unrecognizable. There is a restaurant in the back! Third Place Books, Ravenna! I live closer the the LFP shop but this might be my favorite local independent bookstore chain. Waldenbooks (do I sound like I've been living in a cave?) it ain't and I'm grateful.
Third Place Books is amazing! They’ve got an incredibly helpful staff, a huge selection of books, and an all-around great vibe. I frequently will order over phone and walk over to pick up my books. I can’t suggest enough you get your books from here over anywhere else.
Knowledgeable and passionate staff. Great selection of book in a beautiful space.
Nov '22: Yup, still love this place.
Store size limits selection, but they do good work.
Very nice smaller location of Third Place Books. Decent size parking lot for the area, with plenty of street parking as well. Has a very nice outdoor seating area, as well as a good sized cafe in the back of the store. Book selection is somewhat small on some topics, but they've made it incredibly easy to order online and pick up at the store. Very clearly established COVID guidelines, extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff.
I adore this local bookstore and cafe/restaurant. They have consistently good food and service. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. The bookstore is a small but good selection of books and small trinkets and goodies. The downstairs has a rustic lodge vibe and a decent selection of local beers on tap.
The people working here are fantastic. Great reading suggestions, really quality one-on-one help. They walked me around, discussed the books I liked and authors I liked, made the trip really worth it. Very welcoming. There's a coffee shop inside, I think they serve light fare as well. There's a beautiful shaded patio where you can sit/read/snack. Would definitely recommend.
Smaller than their Lake Forest Park location, but wonderful all the same. Friendly staff, great natural light, and a curated selection. Parking is easy.
Always a beautiful book shopping experience. Friendly and genuine staff.
A nice bookstore, curated selection of new and used. High quality used only. The curated selection was nice, spent most of my time in sci-fi/fantasy and found everything I wanted. They have a cafe, but I didn't stay. Will come back, for sure.
Lovely little neighborhood independent bookstore. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and the store itself is organized, clean, and cozy. Cute coffee shop/restaurant attached on the main floor, and wonderful pub downstairs -- one of my favorite places to be during the colder months.
Good bookstore with nice ambiance, good book selection, helpful staff and parking
Wonderful book store. Very large.a great selection of books new and used and cards. Love the smell of a real paper back book. I hope they are supported. Nothing like the neighborhood store.
Decent selection, nice ambiance, decent masking while we were there. Has a nice little coffee shop with vegan offerings, but they were out of lemon tea.
Some of the best food and drink around!! Great place to work and a great place to not work. Staff is v friendly, each menu item is delicious. Immediately became a regular spot.
Very quiet and calming place to pick out books and have a little bite. They have very friendly staff, I definitely recommend going. They have a very large selection of books and will most likely have what your looking for!
Commenting on the Cafe "Artos". Small restaurant as part of Third Place Books. Food was very tasty but service and meal delivery a little slow. My opinion is that they are suffering like all food establishments and are making do with a small staff. Still, food was good. Outside and inside seating available.
Incredible bookstore. Super helpful staff. Great selection. Includes a coffee shop. The coffee shop is nice. Kinda includes a bar. I very much liked the bar. Vegetarian options available. Well organized. Personal touches. Charming place for basically anything you could possibly want to do. I highly recommend visiting them and giving them your business.
I ordered a hard to get book for my Mom's birthday and haven't had a chance to pick it up and mail to her. They graciously have been calling to remind me that it was in the store without canceling my hold. When I called today and asked if they could mail it to her directly, they didn't blink. This level of personal customer service especially during COVID was a gift at the end of a long work day. Thank you!
Fantastic book story! Amazing coffee shop and bar that I have not yet been too. Cant wait to come back.
I love love love this place! There is not only a great selection of books, but they also have some great community events. The staff is always very friendly and helpful with any questions you might have. And the food at the cafe is yummy! I especially love the falafel wrap.
Some people say it's too "intellectually snobby", but it's not. It's just so good (books and cafe and location and clientele) that some people might find it off-putting. Relax! Learn! Read! No problem.
The coffee is superb. The books are even more so. And there's a small section of truly extraordinary gifts, tools, accessories and stuff that is curated brilliantly. This is a great place to get a gift for friends and family, whether they're bookish or not!
This is a lovely bookstore and cafe. Unfortunately, the cafe is ungodly expensive ($3.50 for a small glass of milk!). It may be a long while before we can afford to come back. For families with little kids, the (first?) Monday magic show is a lot of fun. They have other shows too (storytelling, music, ...). Parking lot is small and there's no real stage so performances are very cramped. Small outdoor seating area (just a few tables) is a nice addition.
Great selection of books. I like how many reviews there are of books in every section. They also mark books by local authors.
If you're looking for a fantastic independent bookstore in north Seattle, go here. Super cute, inviting interior where it's easy to lose hours to browsing books. Great selection and I love how they have new and used right alongside each other. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Also, there is a fun and cozy childrens book area, so bring the kids!
Such a great book store with a huge selection of books including ones you wouldn’t find elsewhere. The cafe inside is nice and surprisingly spacious. I could honestly spend an afternoon here, I love the atmosphere.
I was touched today by the kindness of one of the people working at the checkout area. There was an art book about Andrew Wyeth which suffered the cruelty of someone tearing pages from it. I was so happy when they gave me the book. Thank you. I will take care if it. Great place with compassionate people working there.
Awesome staff who are super friendly and helpful! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Coffee shop doesn't open till 11, but they allow you to sit out on the patio with your own coffee and food!
Thrid place and the Cafe were amazing! My friends and I will definitely be coming back, and our waitress Kaitlyn was so sweet. Great food too (:
Went for the Food. Cafe Arta. Great brunch.
Great local bookstore that I've been going to since I was young. I ordered a book that they didnt have in stock and it was worth the extra wait to support a local business rather than order from amazon. I love the outdoor/natural vibe of the shop and they've got a great patio, not to mention the cafe / restaurant that offers great baked goods, beer, and mediterranean food.
This is a neighborhood treasure! Great book collection and you can round out your trip with a visit to the restaurant.
Delighted to find this place!! Definitely coming back, for reads and eats!
Good variety of brunch items on the menu. Delicious and reasonably priced bakery goods. Huge selection of books used and new. Street and parking lot for your vehicle and best of all friendly and helpful staff.
Nice people, cool sweet collection of books. So easy to take this kind of place for granted and drive by all the time. Surprise yourself and drop in. I attended a reading from a group of writers speaking on the subject of siblings. Sounds boring, but what a remarkable collection of adventures and disasters. Vios cafe downstairs was great for a quick retreat to meet some of the authors and find out more over a beer. What's not to like?
The bookstore is worthy by itself! Their cafe in the back is a hidden neighborhood gem everyone should know about but doesn't. Limited menu but everything is good. Greek street food favorites.
The best independent bookstore in Seattle nestled in the Ravenna neighborhood and housing Vio's, a cafe that serves a great weekend brunch and fantastic pastries, coffee, and light meals during the week. This is a place you can spend a couple relaxed hours, find a new or used book and grab a cup of good coffee. There's also a small selection of eclectic gifts and magazines, as well as a nice outdoor seating area and a pub downstairs for an evening aperitif. I've been going to Third Place for years and absolutely love it.
This is my neighborhood pre-work hangout spot. I've been going here since it opened and have always loved the bookshop. I love that they buy used books and the vibe is just right for some down time too! Grab that delicious pastry and relax even if you have kiddos as they have a little play are for them too!
This bookstore has a really good kids section. On Saturday mornings they have kids story time, which is great. They have a number of really good storytellers who frequentl this place. The restaurant, Vios, which is located at the far end of this bookstore serves really good breakfast on the weekends and has a good kids play area. A good package to spend the Saturday mornings with kids😊
Nice place with a book store and cafe Arta where you can get some food or just a cup of coffee.
By far the best bookstore in the Puget Sound. The Kenmore has more options but this location has an amazing restaurant and a downstairs pub which is a must visit. The staff is helpful and always friendly. I have purchased hundreds of books from this place!
I love third place books because there is everything from books to tarot cards to pens and everything in between another reason why I love third place books is because it's a small business and I love supporting small businesses. So if you want to go to a place that has many many options for books and needs a lot of support because of coronavirus go to third place books.
Too small a location to have a very good collection of books. I appreciate the review cards on the shelves written by staff. The young adult section is really well done. I can't stand the attached restaurant or wine bar.
Great spot. Love the fries, the beer, the popcorn, the London Fogs and the Hot Chocolate. The books and atmosphere are great too. This is also my favorite place to get reading glasses.
Great place to pick up gifts for friends and/or their kids. Wide assortment of children’s books with some variations on old favorites as well as “indestructibles!” Checkingnout can be a bit disorganized, but no problem if you’re not in a rush. The staff are extremely helpful when it’s finally your turn.
Third place is a Seattle institution. With a mix of new and used books, a helpful and friendly staff, and a lovely cafe, this is in my top 3 favorite seattle bookstores. Also, they have a kids summer reading program, really good sales a few times per year, and a wide selection of genres.
They also buy books if you're looking to offload some of your old books.
Highly recommended!
Cozy, friendly staff, great assortment of used and new mingled together. Donation desk means they keep stock rotating. Love that they feature local authors both on the shelves and at their events. Plus, they have food and coffee.
My favorite bookstore! Great selection of new and used books. Love the top picks shelf and the selection of art books. The staff are helpful and respectful. You can also preorder books to pick up in store which is handy.
Fantastic bookstore with a restaurant and bar attached. The restaurant has a kids play area -- one of my favorite places in Ravenna!
This is a great book store. We are spoiled by the Lake Forest Park bookstore north of this one, which is closer to our house and much larger, so it has a much larger selection. This bookstore, however, has a beautiful patio and makes you want to stay. Lfp third place has the commons, which can be noisy, so not always a great place to get cozy with a book. Anyway. Come here. It's a worthwhile place.
I asked an employee to help me find a few books, but it turned into a 30 minute mission. They were patient and navigated my book list with grace. They even helped reccomend some great additions to my search. It was awesome. especially bc I was gift shopping so the whole interaction helped me find the perfect gift for my favorite person.
Thanks again!
Great, independent bookstore, selling both used and new books. One of three Third Place stores (the others are in Lake Forest Park, and Seward Park). Has a great cafe inside. It's a place to idle away an insane amount of time looking at books new and old, and browsing staff picks.
Beautiful store with great selection. The Cafe had great coffee and wonderful cookies.
This is more than a bookstore. There's a cafe, a pub, and such a good staff that this is more of a public service provider. If they don't have it, they can get it pretty quickly for you. Their online presence is pretty good too. I've ordered many titles sent to my local store and put in hold for me.
Except if you are interested in selling books, highly doubtful and dissatisfied. Cheap and not very honest. I won't sell there again. But the store, food and downstairs beer area is why they rate 3 stars. Go there to buy, bring your kids, whatever
Just don't expect a fair amount of money for decent books.
Love this long time Ravenna cornerstone business. Easy to order on line, can pick up order at store, saves shipping costs, packaging. Now open for browsing. Very clean with supplies available for customer hand cleaning.
Awesome cute book store with a huge selection. Also highly recommend the cafe at the back, Vios, for a delicious breakfast. Loved the Greek french toast. Lovely scones, too!
Relaxing fairly large independent bookstore that has a better selection than others in the area. Good seating. Recommendations on all the shelves. Plus there's parking! Cool place.
Nicely done Greek/Mediterranean food with a good play area for young children. Unfortunately it's popularity has outstripped it's capacity. Clearly Seattle needs more places that are kid friendly with good food and a comfortable atmosphere.
It's a used book store with a wide variety of books. A cafe is attached and a bar below. There is a very small play spot but you have to order something from the cafe (which I understand and agree with).
They have a great selection of books most with reasonable prices and a fair amount of user books too. The only really improvement is the cafe/restaurant area is a little confusing as there is a please wait to be seated sign before you get to the coffee bar. I want sure if there was seating for the cafe or if it was the restaurant. Not a huge deal but it's not very clear what you're supposed to do like it is at the Seward Park location.
I love this little corner book store and cafe. It is a breath of fresh air and very relaxing as soon as you open the doors. Love the flow of books and the delicious food at the cafe. It is a neighborhood mainstay!
This place is simultaneously awesome and terrible- awesome because I can find all sorts of awesome books in great condition, but terrible because I could far too easily blow all my spending cash here. There's a cafe attached that I'm super excited to try, too, as if I needed more excuses to linger.
Very nice store and friendly staff! Visited during Independent Booksellers Day
Never been exploring in the bookstore part... has a cool Internet Cafe part, and pub downstairs. Restaurant/cafe prices are all over the place. Some items are reasonably priced ($10 gyro sandwich, and coffee is ok), while others are over priced ($16 burger, $2 for whipped fetta on the side of anything, which I wasn't told about before ordering when I did). (Individual order of fries comes with the whipped fetta & oil mix, but nothing else from what I can tell.) The staff members have all been nice. Some of the configuration for the cafe part is akward, but fine if you are sitting in the restaurant itself... Pub downstairs is cool! Can play games, eat, talk, chill... same food menu as cafe part, just with alcohol added :)
Love the idea of this place, but it is not a good of a deal as I wish it was. When I sold my books it seemed it only saved me on taxes. They have a decent amount of verity of books but not for tweens age only a very small selection.
Awesome bookstore, with events and hang out areas... Loved the author luncheon lecture I attended... They have a few locations, but I've only been inside the Ravenna one... I like the indie store vibe, with big store selection
Easy access, good parking, but limited menu that is a bit overpriced. That said, the avgolemono is delicious. Smallish bowl for $7.00 and comes with 2 very small slices of baguette. Cost should have been about $5.50. Outdoor summer seating will be nice.
Such a sweet bookstore with a great little Cafe inside the store. Good food, coffee and ambiance.
I love Third Place Books. They have a great selection as well as a cute little coffee shop and restaurant which are great places to get work done. Two thumbs up and five stars
Used and new bookstore with frequent author talks and some other community events. Greek restaurant in the south end of the building is good, and is the location of the monthly Science on Tap talks. Community meeting-place and bar in the cellar of the building is also a meeting place for various groups.
Great variety! Cute gifts!
Great place to buy books. Always check to see if the title you need is available second hand for half price or less. Staff are fantastic, very helpful, seem happy in their work amongst their books.
3rd Place houses three related businesses:
(1) Third Place Books
(2) Vios Cafe
(3) Third Place Pub
The bookstore is wonderful. A classic indie bookstore that stocks great new and used books, shelved next to each other. They will also buy your quality used books at competitive prices.
Vios is a great restaurant and cafe - the menu is a mix of small plates and entrees from the Mediterranean (ok, Greece). Awesome for families and kids. You may also order coffee and take it to a dedicated cafe/laptop accessible area. Seating is also available on the patio by the parking lot in nice weather.
The pub serves a modified menu from Vios and offers a full tap list of local craft beer. It's downstairs (accessible via stairs from Vios, with an external entrance on 65th). It's open later than the bookstore by 3 hours most nights.
A neighborhood gem in the heart of Ravenna.
Nice bookstore, but it was too noisy during my afternoon visit.
Great bookstore in a nice part of Seattle.
My favorite place to chill and explore books
Amazing place! Great selection of used and new books, with very friendly staff. Great bar in the basement, and the food in the cafe above is amazing.
This bookstore is the opposite of the Amazon Bookstore in every way and I mean that in the best way possible. Their selection goes broad and deep. The prices are good and the cafe is great. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Awesome indie bookstore. Great selection, great displays, and the store is laid out in a way that makes sense. Lovely cafe in the back. Will definitely be back!
Charming and intimate neighborhood bookstore. Love to browse the aisles, sometimes catching an author's reading. Cozy spot to read and enjoy an espresso in the cafe.
Great new and used bookstore. A bit smaller than their other locations. Nice and helpful staff. Cool little coffee shop/restaurant as well.
Tons of books and gear to look through. New and used. Friendly and helpful staff. Ad well as dinning places and gatherings for friends
Great neighborhood book store. Good selection, great cafe, wonderful staff. Buy local!
Cool bookstore. Lots of local books on Architecture, history, hikes, and other seattle area stuff. Solid general collection as well.
Nice little cafe in back. Good coffee.
4 stars only because every time I venture into TPB, I inevitably end up frustrated that it's part book store, part cafe, and part day care center. I enjoy the book store part. And don't even try to park there...
As far as local bookstores go, this is a gem. Lovely selection of books and friendly staff. Grab a coffee while you're here!
Great little book shop where you can sell back books you have (if they need them. They only took one book we brought that day), read, and get great recommendations for your next great literary adventure!
Great bookstore. Well organized and spacious. Helpful staff. Great way to while away an hour and grab a new novel.
Can get really busy, but this is such a lovely bookstore/cafe. There's a place for the kids to play while you eat, and the employees are very friendly and happy!
Cozy book store with a cafe serving delicious Greek food/coffee. Buy a book and linger over lunch. A cute children's section too!
Always helpful staff, can find anything for you. Between their two stores, and a generous layaway plan, they are still very affordable, always a pleasure to work with the staff.
Helpful folks. Quiet. Relaxed environment. If you sell books here you get 10% off (same-day). Also, they have the ability to order just about anything (take that, Amazon).
No kidding this is the best used book store in all of Seattle. Kind of surprising considering their two other locations are absolutely horrible. It’s nice to know there’s still one good used book store in the city.
Fantastic small bookstore with a good breath of genres, a coffee shop, and a cute basement pub. A great place to find, and enjoy, your next literary adventure.
Great local bookstore. They have storytime for kids on Saturday morning. You can also find a good selection of books in Spanish.
Great environment and customer service. The only problem is leaving with far more books than I should.
Cute book shop with a great café attached. They were friendly and helpful when I asked for help and I enjoyed the experience.
An incredible little bookstore with selection galore, friendly staff that will help you or leave you alone. I found three amazing finds at a great price and Im so so happy I went!
So happy to have a beloved local bookstore open again! Friendly, safe, welcoming; hurray! Come and buy something, even a newspaper; show support!
Wonderful, smells like a bookstore should. Smaller than the Lake Forest Park location, but well curated. Friendly, helpful staff.
Really great home fries, buttermilk biscuits and gravy and omelette. Super glad I took that walk this morning.
One of the last places to sell used books in Seattle. The atmosphere is fun and eclectic. Looks on books and crannies to wander around in and they host a wide variety of events.
My go to spot for books and coffee. They also have a relaxing internet cafe inside. If you want to trade in your used books, they buy them here!
So many beautiful books, wide selection, reasonable prices, and a cafe in case you wish to peruse the new adventures that you bought.
And absolutely adorable seattle-based bookstore. It adds so much to a neighborhood and make sure you visit the restaurant attached to it, the food is incredible.
Always a joy coming here. Lovely staff and a fantastic selection of books.
Good selections of books, old and new, fiction and nonfiction. Staff is helpful and friendly. Cafe is pretty good
Just a super place in every way!
One employee was super knowledgeable and helped us find some great LGBT fiction. Could not have had a better bookstore experience
Charming local bookstore with new and used books. The cafe has lots of vegan options and there's a bar downstairs!
I love, love, love Ravenna Third Place books. Wonderful books and a cozy cafe indoors or al fresco tables to enjoy. Did I mention I love this place?
awesome book selection, cards, and stationary. found some good gift here. also, has a coffee shop/cafe.
Nice place for books and have a coffee
Everything you want in a book shop: new and used, knowledgeable friendly staff, clean and well lit, with a cafe and bar even! Truly a third place.
Great book store with new and used. Very helpful and nice Cafe there too.
Great small bookstore. The cafe at the back has amazing food!
Everything a bookstore should be. I will admit it reminds me of the Great and Wonderful Powell's of Portland. Used mixed with new and all kinds of good things.
A bastion of good books + a solid cafe + a delightful pub, somehow combined into one building
I would live here, except I don't think that's legal
It's an awesome bookstore. Very friendly staff, cafe and great book selection.
Love this place so much, the environment is very comfortable, all the staff are so kind and helpful, the pub downstairs is fun and cozy, absolutely recommend
Great place always find what I didn't know i wanted!
Wide selection of fantasy books. Nice seating and attached cafe. Prices are high though.
Great selection of new and used! Good deals on clearance books as well. There is also a cafe!
I could spend hours here, and I did! I had a 5 hour layover in Seattle and spent about 3 hours here. Such a lovely place with an amazing selection.
I go there for their restaurant, their books and their events. Every second Monday of the month they have a magic show great for the entire family and it's free.
A bookstore is rare these days, but Third Place has a great selection, good prices, and a wonderful atmosphere!
I like this place. No, it's not a mega store, but if you want that, go to their Bothwell Way location. Attached cafe has exquisite food
Not a very large space, yet a good selection of new and used books. There is no Powell's in Seattle, so you have to go to multiple book stores to get a similar experience. Third Place would be one of those to go to, along with Elliot Bay, to get something close to Powell's.
Really cozy bookstore with an old school wood interior and a lot of authentic vibe, for lack of a better description. Just great.
This is a very knowledgeable staff. They have an intelligent selection of books, a nice Pub downstairs and a very pleasant restaurant in back.
Great neighborhood store. Helpful staff to search for books. AND a restaurant too!
Great local bookstore with both new and used books, complete with its own cafe. Parking lot in the back.
This place has some of the best food I've had outside of Istanbul, and the fact that I'm writing about food instead of books (which I like way more than food) attests to that.
Nice selection of new and used books, friendly atmosphere, plus enjoy a coffee as you read a book.
