A beautiful little store in the sweet Tangletown neighborhood. Because of its size the selection is limited, and geared largely to science fiction and fantasy. Still, a nicely curated selection of literary fiction and nonfiction graces the front of the store. The non-book items for sale also seem carefully chosen and appealing. The owner was helpful and pleasant. I look forward to visiting many times over the years and watching how The Wise Owl matures and grows.

Super nice! Small, local, clean & friendly. Looked up "book store near me" and popped in, so glad we did. Not only found exactly what I was looking for but also found several awesome classic Daw sci-fi that my husband and I couldn't resist. If I'm in the neighborhood again I'll definitely stop in. The music is also really appealing and Christina was great to talk to!
