Reviews of Arundel Books
Kristen Maslanka
A delightful little book nook with an array of used and new books. Walls of books! Need I say more? The selection was limited to the small space but the bookkeeper was friendly and happy to order for me. He was knowledgable and made sure the environment was safe. ( there was a maskless individual next to me he politely reminded to put on his mask while indoors to.) Stop by this delightful place.

It is a really nice book store. The collection of books isn't that large in quantity but they have variety in rare books and focused on human stories and artistic thoughts.
Plus the building resides in pioneer square, so it gives off you traveled back in the 1920's but clean and modern(?).
RDS
Great book selection, including some rare and even out of print books. The staff is friendly and they always have good recommendations.
2022-09-23 Update: Still a fantastic bookstore in the Pioneer Square area. I have visited and purchase books from this store many times, but today as I was walking in they asked for my backpack. It felt weird, I wasn’t expecting it. So, if you have a backpack, you might be asked to take it off and have them hold it for you while you shop and browse the bookstore.

Was able to visit this bookstore following a Mariners game and it was the perfect way to end the day. Great selection and super friendly staff. Found a great Joni Mitchell coffee table book.

Hours are Noon - 6pm daily. Located in Pioneer Square. They literally just opened last Wednesday. Cute shop and the aesthetics inside/architecture are beautiful!
Hand sanitizer before you browse. Limit 30 min of browsing which is mostly what I did.

The inside is very well maintained and has a nice aesthetic. Wide variety of books and they're all very competitively priced. Found some rare math textbooks which was a nice surprise
Rebecca Cruz
Popped in here during a layover, lovely little store and nice workers here. Their selection of old and new books along with prints are awesome!
David Sirbu
Great store! Beautiful interior! Fantastic combination of new and classic book titles.
Anna Ross
Wonderful bookshop! Good vibes and friendly folks
R James
Amazingly prompt with a price for a vintage book that beat other vendors. I feared the book might be in poor shape, but it is excellent - exceeding expectations. And deliver was surprisingly prompt. When I called for information about the volume, I received immediate information from someone who retrieved to book and told me about it. I couldn't be more pleased! Thanks to Arundel Books! Great work and much appreciated!!!

I love serendipity, Amazon has virtual serendipity, but the real thing is from independent booksellers.
Mostly plowed under by Amazon.
Kevin Bush
Love this beautiful bookstore. Great selection of new, high quality used, and rare books. Fantastic service as well.
Prashanth
Store owner is very friendly. I was able to buy some books I was looking for to read during cruise.
Brendan Monroe
So many wonderful bookshops in Seattle but this one is my favorite. I love that they feature books from smaller, independent publishers and their literature in translation section is the bomb! Incredibly friendly staff as well. This place is just the best!
Laura King
Very friendly and helpful staff. They didn't have what I was looking for, but didn't miss a beat at suggesting something similar.
Beautiful and airy space, easy to negotiate.
Jordan Murphy
Today I stopped in just to browse and see if anything caught my eye. While I ultimately didn't end up purchasing anything, a number of books were of great interest to me and overall it was just very impressive to see both the quality but also the variety of books in this used bookstore.
However I wanted to make it a point to leave a review not from the above but because the gentleman who helped me was absolutely wonderful and extremely knowledgeable!
I noticed he had several early 1900s books with illustrations and it reminded me of a book I once saw in France over a decade ago that I wanted to buy but couldn't afford at the time. I described him the type of book and he immediately knew what I was talking about, a couple of possible authors, described a series of books on different places and how the book I saw I might fit into that series, helped look online as well as sort through some of the books he had all to find this for me.
When I left, he had taken down my information and if he is able to locate the sort of book or ever see something similar come into the store he is going to contact me.
I just thought his immediate knowledge about this obscure type of book that I mentioned was impressive but then even further to take the time and effort to try and find this for me was really wonderful! Thank you and I definitely recommend this place!

Although I didn't buy anything, I got the distinct impression Arundel is very selective about their secondhand books. The selves felt very well curated, and offered a better selection than many larger bookstores I've been to.

Cutest bookstore in all of Seattle. Knowledgeable staff. Great vibes. Amazing selection. As a bonus — there is a doughnut shop across the street. Books and then doughnuts? You can’t go wrong.
Joe Glesener
Our oldest son founds some books 📚 💙 😊 😀 Very awesome place to visit 😀 …
Nate Jacobson
Amazing little book store. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Didn't have the particular book so they ordered it and it arrived within 3 days.

Beautiful location- nice smattering combo selection of just released and hard to find. I’d go there to stumble upon not necessarily to strategic shop.

So far one of my favorite places in Seattle. I passed by it dozens of times before realizing it was even there, but once I noticed it I couldn’t stop going back! It’s a small and cozy bookstore with a surprisingly large selection. The staff/owner have always been kind and helpful. Whenever I’ve wondered what to pick up next, they have excellent suggestions for me to try. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone in need of a good book and a happy, peaceful atmosphere.
Lindsey Strain
Super pretty bookstore with a great selection of fun books. Looks like they also had some rare books as well, if that's a thing you're into. Nice vibe!
Matthew Belt
The woman behind the counter was SO friendly and helpful! I found two first editions thanks to them and a signed copy of something I've never read, but am thoroughly looking forward to. Absolutely can't wait to go back.

This is a true Seattle treasure. They have there own publishing and print house so there is a very nice selection of high quality offerings. I found a first edition book on Seattle history. Reasonable prices. Great and knowledgeable staff. Browse and support local book sellers.

Kind of like if the rare book room in Powell’s had its own store in a bigger space.
Patti Amundson
Super helpful owner (I think his name is Phil). I had a problem with an online order so I went in to exchange the book. He had great suggestions for other reading and they have lots of cool, rare items in the shop.
James Symmonds
So happy to have finally visited this store in person! I've seen so many books from this place come into the museum library I used to work at. It was good to get in and buy a couple of books for myself!
Sophie Scopazzi
Lovely place, lots of books, and a helpful staff. Not sure what else you need in a bookstore
Zahra Mandana Fard
A local bookstore with both new and used books. There are series of beautifully printed (letterpress) poems on the wall, and when I asked about them, they told me each month they have a small art exhibition there. This month the exhibition is these poems because it's the national poetry month now.
Tea Powell
Most awesome and easy going! Definitely people you can trust. With knowledge and a common love for literature. For a collector that's especially important. Sales and loyalty are built on trust.
Erin Taylor
Dangerously good collection considering the size of the store. Every time I come here I leave with what I was looking for and something else I found while poking around. Staff have been consistently friendly and helpful every time I've been.
Samuel Leckron
Heard this is the place to go for old and new books. It is just amazing. Not so much seldom that you get lost or overwhelmed, but just enough to find something new.
Sallyann Corn
I can get lost in these stacks for hours and always end up leaving with my newest literary treasure. Delightful staff, cozy atmosphere, and wonderful pricing on rare gems.
