What can I say about this place? It's a book chain. If you haven't heard of barns and noble, you have been under a rock. My advice is to get books cheaper on Amazon. I have to say that I love looking at the unique gifts they have in this store.

Barnes and Noble is one of the last standing physical bookstores left - and every time I come here I’m reminded how much I love a great bookstore. The Starbucks Cafe nestled inside has a full menu and 10 or so tables to sit down and read and have a cup of tea or coffee and a snack. The kids section is amazing - full of learning and educational materials. It’s heartwarming to see kids reading and learning - hands on. The store is artfully decorated. Posters hang high on the tall ceilings and are beautiful. All in all this is a wonderful bookstore and the smell of new books is awesome.

Been going here for years. It's much more commercial than it use to be. There were cozy couches to bring your coffee and atmosphere was a bit warmer but still a good place to spend an HR.

I love going here. It’s so cozy and since I have an addiction to being in my bed all day and going on my phone (chronic depression lmao) I come here all the time to escape the pull of bed. I can actually read a book and do things I enjoy, I’m glad.

The Barnes and Noble itself is an absolute win. Wonderful selection of books, sweet & helpful staff, and fun miscellaneous products like plushies and notecards. I'm not so happy about the Starbucks, however. Last time I went, I very explicitly asked for a drink using a non-dairy alternative due to a very nasty dairy allergy. Considering the reaction I had not 20 minutes later, it's safe to assume that the barista did not follow my request. This is the second time at this location, and I believe I'll be avoiding the cafe from now on.

Barnes and Noble was awesome- but I couldn't find any Elf on the Shelf gear. In the past I've always gone there to find anything I need. There are some really great people who work there that are very friendly and accommodating. The Smithfield Crossings Barnes and Noble is such a great place to relax and find a book or go for a cup of coffee.

Excellent book store. This one in particular. The workers in the store were so sweet to my kids. They walked around showing them different graphic novels and kids stories that they may enjoy. They talked about how they read them themselves and whether they liked them or not and whether they fit for a young 9 year old girl. I was pleasantly shocked and amazed at their level of knowledge with the books within their store. Thank you so much for your help and my daughters were still talking about how great your store was. And thank you to the woman who told me about the educator card as a teacher which allowed me to save 20% each purchase. I wish you all the best in your store and business.

This Barnes and Noble is fantastic. They have a huge inventory, great selection and a wonderful childrens area (complete with trains). My 3 year old son loves visiting here almost every weekend. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the cafe has excellent cookies. I definitely recommend this store to any book lovers in the area.

The staff was so amazing! I went in looking for a book I needed for an honors thesis I will be working next semester, and while I figures it was a long shot they would have it, the associate took the time to look it up and walk me personally to the sections it would be in. When we didnt find it she offered to order it for me, and explained their policy on price matching with their website. It was a great experience in a time where customer service seems to be going out of style!

Large book store with tons of books ranging across several topics. The kids section is also very big. Finding a specific book in the kids/teen section can sometimes be difficult, since the organization of that area isn't clear. They have a nice cafe area in the store as well, so you can sit and relax before/after shopping.

I have been going to this Barnes & Noble for a few years now with my kids, since my oldest started learning to read. We like to go to the Storytime events when it fits into our schedule. Today we attended a story telling of How The Grinch Stole Christmas (which also included The Cat in The Hat). Joseph read the stories to all the kids and he did a fantastic job. He was very animated, even changing his voice for different characters and making sound effects. Very engaging. Definitely recommend coming here. Joseph was really great with all the kids.

I love going into the bookstore, and the staff is EXCELLENT. Unfortunately they didn't have one book I was looking for and it was going to take them a whole week to get it ordered and get it to me (I ordered it on Amazon Prime with two day delivery as they were saying this). The second item I went in for was $5 more in person than had I ordered it off Amazon. Which was disappointing to realize, since there was no shipping/delivery involved. I bought it anyways since I felt bad.

This place used to be nice It used to have seats near the back, the music used to be nice. now the only place to sit is near the cafe, way to noisy to read a book. Slowly overtime it has become less and less desirable. I don't even buy my books here anymore. My wife and I used to come here alot, but nah it's okay I imagine then closing nationwide soon. Great friendly staff. I don't read a lot but the prices seemed very reasonable. I was looking for a fantasy football draft guide and there were several of them. I didn't know there were so many of them. You can get a snack and coffee to boot. They also had a board game night going on so you could go back to the roots before technology lol

I go here mainly for the Starbucks. Yes, there is a standalone Starbucks up the street but this one has more treats to offer. I can find me a good book, or bring my own, then head over here and have a seat in their cafe with a nice frappuccino and my new favorite, the asiago cheese stuffed pretzel. I am not a pretzel lover but when I saw this on the display I was curious. The staff highly recommended it and I'm glad I gave it a try. They don't go to crazy with the cheese but just enough, they then sprinkle some seasoning on the top of the pretzel to make this a wonderful snack. Go and try one, you can thank me later.

This is a pretty standard B&N. They have the typical selection of titles - which is to say, a pretty broad range, with quite a few of the more recent, more popular titles, with some other fun stuff tossed in here and there. If you're looking to buy some books, or kill some time, this is a great place to do it!

My favorite place for magazines. Widest selection. For the reader who likes "real " books, you'll love it. Excellent location, in a plaza with lotsa stores and restaurants. Almost qualifies as a "date " for us.

A fairly decent franchised bookstore. I'm an avid book junkie, and of the dozen or so stores that I frequent, B&N is in the top five. They DO charge a fee of $25 for a membership card but, in my opinion, is well worth it if you prefer hardcovers to paperbacks like me. Purchasing hardcovers nets you a minimum of 20% savings and paperbacks are 10% off with a membership, as well as damn-near everything else in the store, including the cafe. I like the fact that their registers are all the same, meaning that if the lines run long (holidays f'rinstance) at the main checkout, you can utilize the cafe cashier, or the dvd cashier to bypass any lengthy (and tedious) checkout lines. Shhhhhh! Don't pass it on! What I do not like about their stores is; the ginormous Nook area located smack dab in the middle of each store! You know how many bookshelves could fit in that space?! Well, neither do I but I bet it's quite a lot!

We love going to Barnes & Noble to browse and get a steamer and treat at the Starbucks there. Everyone so friendly and can sample reading books or magazines before buying them ( or put back on shelf if not what you want to read). A great afternoon outing alone or with a friend.. The steamers are fantastic there too.
