Excellent store, has a decent selection of items in stock for almost any tabletop variety item from board games to table army based games. They also have super friendly staff that is very knowledgeable and genuinely interested in their customers. Oh and the awesome tables set up to engage in tabletop battles like Legion. Just a must checkout store, easily top 5 in the Valley.

There are so many models here for so many tabletop miniatures games. The store was laid out well, there are a number of tables to play on, and the staff was incredibly helpful. For one item I couldn't find there, they told me where I could get it, and were able to order it for me when I asked. I was really happy to visit here.

Flat out the best game store in the greater Phoenix area. One of the best I have ever been to. They have a great selection of board games, RPGs, tabletop wargames, but that isn't the whole reason they are great. Never been, so I drove out to check out their store with my 2 boys (7 and 12) and try to find a new game. When we arrived we were welcomed with a big sign requiring mask or vaccination card. It would have been helpful if they required this on their website before blowing $20 in gas.

I have been looking for a new FLGS store after games depot closed, but as I no longer carry a mask or my vaccine card (lol), I'm going to need to keep searching. That said, store looks great, and I can't wait to shop there once they feel comfortable enough to relax their rules.

A great, large space with lots of board games! Friendly staff welcomed us and showed us around since it was our first time. Half the store is games to buy, half is tables to play on. You can even come in and play games with other people. They have art classes too. We can't wait to come back and play some games here!

These folks are always amazing. Vary knowledgeable and net just helpful, but excited to help. A great selection of board games and tons of figurines. I want to be a DM when I grow up and this is a one stop shop for all of the info and supplies I need. They do require a mask and have a big gaming space with tables set up for play.

It's definitely a nice place as far as game stores go. Remember that it's a miniature/tabletop store not like a game stop. The staffing is attentive and polite and rather quick to greet you. More of a floor presence than behind the counter. I make it a point to buy something if I go in to support the business, a good practice that I recommend. Only suggestion would be one employee behind the counter and one on the floor but I understand that doubles daily wages so one employee is fine. Also they have a rewards program.

I told them I was starting a gaming collection and what kind of games I was looking for and he told me what I should look out for and how board game companies work. Came out with some great games for some good prices too. Can't wait to go back.

The shop was clean and well laid out. There were tables being played on by D&D players, Warhammer players, and magic players. This tells me that the atmosphere in this shop is friendly as well as inviting. Additionally the shop has a few drinks and snacks inside that are rather convenient. Will return and possibly host a weekly 5e D&D game here.

The definition of the FRIENDLY local game store. Jeff, the owner, sat with us and enthusiastically taught us a game. It’s a game we immediately bought. The people behind the counter were super friendly and going out of their way to help customers. The place is clean, bright, fresh and an warm environment. A good mix of miniatures and board games. I like this store because it does not feel like a magic/comic store and more like a true tabletop store. Highly recommend!

After visiting four game stores in the area while on vacation, this was the best one for Tabletop gamers. Great selection of games, even a few we hadn't seen before. They also have space for playing games and painting minis. Didn't get a chance to peruse their library or games available for play, but maybe next time.

This is my favorite gaming store in the valley. They've got a wonderful gaming area and terrain, good selection of snacks, and a free-to-use hobby area for painting and building models complete with cutting mats, water mugs, and lamps. There is a colorful cast of regulars at the shop and it's an accepting and inclusive place to spend your weekends. I tried out several other stores for gaming and shopping, but GamesU has become more than that- it's my home away from home. The staff have all become good friends of mine. They go above and beyond to make sure you leave happy. The selection of products are incredible as well- they have full (and I mean FULL) GW lines on the shelves as well as smaller miniatures games like Infinity, Marvel, and every WizKids mini you can huck $5 at. I look forward to coming back to game here after COVID, and will continue to make all my purchases here. They're good people.

I really appreciate how the staff works to create an inclusive and safe gaming environment for everyone, and you can see it in the diversity of the customers. Just be careful, he's very good at getting you to buy just one more shade of paint, because wouldn't that just look the best on that mini? And he's never wrong.

Store was very busy which is nice, employee took time to explain to me and my son the pros and cons of a few Warhammer products. He answered all my questions and helped us get started in tabletop gaming. He offered to help teach us once we're ready to play a game. I have been waiting for a store like this in the east valley. Also they had a great selection of GamesWorkshop products when other stores are stopping carrying GW. I'm excited to have a store I can support.

Games U probably feels like the "new kid on the block" for Phoenix gaming, but over the last three years it's built a rock-solid reputation. It's a store with a great community and deep wargaming selection. The tables here are great with lots of terrain, room to play and light. The owner are staff are cheerful and welcoming and just all around good people. This is the kind of place you find yourself looking for reasons to support. I play here a lot because it's close to my work, but if you are into sci-fi/fantasy wargaming, it's well worth the drive.

The staff was so friendly. I went there for warhammer paint & they were out of a few basic colors but it wasn’t their fault. The company is having issues sending them right now because of Covid. Solid game store, large Warhammer scene, modest Infinity scene. Good selection of GW and Corvus Belli models, decent selection of board games. Many wargaming tables and a few tables for board games/smaller skirmish games. Paint selection is decent between army painter, citadel and reaper. Staff is super friendly and informative, store doesn't have the dreaded gamerfunk. Good experience, good store.

Love this place. There are few places you can go where the staff and managers are helpful, talkative, and above all welcoming. They will help you pick from the wide array of games, navigating from the first game outside of the standard to as obscure as it gets. Not only will they help you choose, but often will help you learn. Once the basics are mastered you'll almost always find a group there to play with. Really can't say enough good things about Games U, the staff, and the customers playing there.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff... I always end up walking out with at least one game. You can sign up for a rewards program and gather points towards future purchases (I believe that is how it works). Plus the host a game night from 6:30-9pm every other Wednesday. It's great to meet up with friends, meet new local game enthusiasts, and run RPG's or play board games.

A store to watch! This seems like a very small, upstarting game store, so their selection isn't massive, especially in the RPG section. That said, on both occasions I was in, the staff greeted me as soon as my foot hit the door, they've offered to order products if it's not on stack, and the last time I was in there, the place was packed by the gaming and painting tables. Definitely going to be visiting them more often

Ive been to alot of game stores and this one in partuclar has a really Great atmosphere, lots of tables to play your favorite wargames, a really nice selection of board games (the best I've seen) and a great station for painting. All of that coupled with a friendly staff and you understand why this place deserves 5 stars.

The simple fact that the business owners business plan is education of complex board games is 5 stars enough, however this is one of the few stores that I've experienced that not only encourage painting of models for games such as warhammer, this establishment also provides the space and equipment to do so. The owner and I were talking about the decline of video games and how most of the newer ones are pretty much all the same. The owner is a former elementary school instructor and he started encouraging his students to play board games instead of video games and sure enough the board game playing students were better readers, better problem solvers and had better memories. Games U is the future of board game establishments.

This is a new shop in the area. They have plenty of space to host gaming events, and when I went in there in the middle of the day a few people were playing, one guy was painting, and the staff was helpful and friendly and the prices were as good as you will get anywhere else. For example I purchased a figure which cost me the same amount of money as if I had purchased it directly from the people who made the figure. I mostly stopped by there to look at what they had to paint with and was very pleased to see they stock the full line of Vallejo Game color and Panzer Aces series. You cannot get either of the full lines anywhere else in the valley so that is great. They also have a good rack of Army Painter (not sure if it is full line since I don't use it often) and 2 full racks of citadel's paint line which I believe is all of their colors. They also have many board games, RPGS, and war-game models as well as several miniature lines I had not heard of before. Seriously check this place out. I am a regular at several game stores in the valley and this is another great one with stuff you can't find at any of the others.

I love having a local gaming store. I'm excited about how much potential this store may have. That said it needs a lot more games than it has now. The selection is way too limited. The whole back end of the store should be replaced with what's in the front half of the store. No, really. There's a lot of great variety in the first 12 feet or so of the store and then it just stops. Lose the giant cabinets in the back that basically have nothing in them but an Enterprise model on top collecting dust and a couple chess boards. People who come to stores like this aren't here for chess or models. FILL THEM with board games. Seriously, fill them. I TRY to give this store my business first when purchasing a game but 9 out of 10 times they don't have what I'm looking for, and I'm talking about main stream games, not games that just fulfilled on KS or some old out of print game. So I wind up going to Amazon or Coolstuff or Funagaingames to get what I want. I would also like to see an events calendar CHOCK FULL of game nights specifically for newbies who don't know anyone to play main stream games (found in the first 12 feet of the store) with. Someone should be assigned to the door at all times to try to steer people to these events and really push them. "Hi would you like to learn a new game today?" I've never received any kind of greeting like this. Most people are not going to walk up to a group of strangers and try to get a game going. The store needs to drive this. Sell games and foster community. GO GO GO! I want this store to kick butt. Update - So I've been in the store a bunch of times at different times of day and different days of the week and seriously I never see anyone playing board games. It's always just warhammer. The store needs a board game crowd.

Great place to come and play a game with a friend. About 10 or so 4x6 tables and a couple of 4x4 tables in the back. Good selection of normal 40k and AoS figures (Necron players they got all the basics warriors, lynch guards, jet bikes, spiders, Arks, Barges, stalkers, and a few Lord's) if there is anything special that you'd like ordered my buddies were able to order a Monolith for me. Good paint and brush selection. They have a nice collection of Magic the Gathering. And a HUGE SELECTION of board games! Everything from Boss Monster to Catan and House on haunted hill. Some cool smaller games that you might of heard of from a gaming podcast or something. Like Wizard Battle, or One Night. So much cool stuff here I love playing there. Also the people that play here are cool, respectable people. Most of them stay to their own table, if they watch a game for a second they are really polite and don't bother the game at all. Real cool classy bunch of guys. My buddy's wife comes along and sometimes paints while she's there and she's never had any problems with the place or any guy bothering her. It's honestly the triple crown when it comes to what you need at a game store. 1. Lots of tables 2. Good selection of product. 3. Respectable people. This place is AWESOME!

Games U offeres a great variety of games from boardgames to tabletop miniatures. I have stopped by a number of times just to get an idea of what games interest me. Everytime I have stopped in the staff and players have been more than helpful in explaining what was going on and other events that were coming up for each game system. Glad to have another great community focued game store here in the valley.

I love this place. The owner is in store daily and the prices are a lot of times better than online and almost any other store minus one that matches price (but a good amount of the time doesn't have the comperable inventory in stock for GW, Corpus Belli, Reaper and Bones models in stock). GAMES U has them in stock. If you were an Empire Games guy, go there for your model needs and your gaming. After shipping with Amazon, I lost over a GRAND, dealing with sellers on there than at Games U and the community that goes there is exactly who you want to play Infinity, Warmachine, Age of Sigmar or Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40k (all editions), Bolt Action, anything with. Serious and casual gamers and everything in between. These guys are great. Me and my two brothers love this place to death and can't say enough good things about it. On top of that there's a lot of good places to eat around it or take in and there's a lot around it to do after in case you want your girlfriend to think you aren't a complete hobbyist with awesome bars nearby, etc.

While they don't discount prices and as such aren't competitive price-wise with several other local game stores, the layout and the sheer amount of gaming tables is hard to match.
