- Huge comics selection, including lots of newer comics. - Some tabletop stuff, including trading card games. - Lots of trading cards, such as Pokemon / Magic: The Gathering. - Big tabletop area for tabletop gaming. I wasn't expecting to see a great lineup of disc golf discs at the store but here they are, everything you need to get started with disc golfing, starter sets/single discs/putters/everything you need. The staff were also very friendly, asked if I needed help with anything, that's a nice thing to see. I don't know why but it felt kind of dark in there, almost as if you stepped into a basement. It was an overall pretty good gaming store in the end.

Cool shop for toys, cards, card accessories, figurines, comics, etc! Both my son and I had a good time walking around checking stuff out and finding what we needed...more mtg card for me and a sweet Iron Man toy for the kiddo. Service was great and prices were good! No complaints and we'll be back for sure.

Great place for your Pokemon and MTG needs! The staff there is very knowledgeable about either subject matter. I've sold my cards there multiple times and each time I was given fair quotes on their value. Would recommend this location to others for sure.

They have a lot of different items in stock for hobbyists such as Pokemon cards, board games, and disc golf discs. I came for the discs and they do have a pretty good selection. It's not extensive like a dedicated disc golf shop, but if you are just getting into the sport, their selection will do.

Walking in I was so excited to check this place out as we heard good things and my family and I are big into Pokemon so we drove all the way from San Tan valley to be there. At first glance, it was indeed clean, and extremely well organized. Lots of cards, and accessories and lots of room to sit and play. But from the man who greeted us, I was most certainly not impressed....my family and I were greeted right away from a man stranding right at the register which from the sound of his voice and by his choice of words "welcome in, (speaks softer to the rest of the employees) with your dog....." Made us feel so incredibly unwelcome and quiet Frankly uncomfortable to be there with our registered by the state of AZ service puppy. Now he does forget he's at work sometimes, he's an attention junky who thinks everyone wants to pet him and he seemed a little wild with all the new people but he settled very quickly and didn't make noise, jump on anyone, or so much as make a peep while inside the store . He was well behaved to say the least and for the first 5 mins of being there the employees especially the younger female seemed disgusted/annoyed with the fact that we brought our dog along with us. After all that awkwardness, my boys and I were looking at some of the cards on display and a very nice, very helpful and very knowledgeable young man came up and asked us if we had any questions and of course my boys asked about 10 different card prices each and he was very patient and looked up all of them as well as told them a few things surrounding their cards of choice. This kind employee made all the difference in our view of this store, he made us laugh and feel just fine being there, I wish I remembered his name because he deserves recognition and I will for sure be going back because of him and I'll update this review when I do find out his name. We bought some trainer boxes and a few card singles (which they have such an impressive way to look threw what they had in stock down to how many of them they had in via computers on the far wall,very user friendly as well). Checking out that younger woman who seemed annoyed/disgusted that we were there with our dog had a completely different attitude checking us out it was nice to have a great turn around after all. Will be back 100% and can't wait.

Great selection of disc golf discs, I haven't seen more anywhere in the East Valley. Lots of different card games and collectibles as well. It's primarily MTG, Pokémon, and Warhammer from what I've seen.

This store literally has something for any collector. Comics, Funko, trade paperback, Pokémon, and they have a massive area for card playing with Magic, Pokémon and other games. They have the largest selection of comics than the other Amazing stores with pull boxes. They will work with you for stuff you want as well, and they buy your stuff also.

This place rules! I grew up going to the Tucson location, but recently moved and happened upon the Gilbert store! Everybody here is very friendly and helpful — I am definitely a bit of a novice in MTG — and many of the workers are keen to strike up a good conversation about a shared hobby :•) the online order system is very efficient & if it’s a fairly small order sometimes they’ll even be able to have it ready the same day! This is definitely the place for FNM if you are in Gilbert or Mesa too! Great community here, friendly employees, awesome selection of cards, comics, supplies, and more! (Seriously though the MTG display case is SO gnarly) What more could you ask for! Fair trade in rates too :•)

DISC GOLF DISCS! They have as good a selection of different brands as most disc golf stores, but you'd have no idea unless you visited. And a good selection of Dnd/rpg stuff, and comics! I really think the business should advertise that they carry discs, the sport is getting very popular these days and the selection is A+. Advertise it!

My review here is based solely on my experience with the staff and the store and not so much their merchandise as I collect sports cards and only go here for storage supplies. In the few times I've been there everyone there was very friendly and helpful. If they didn't have something I needed they'd offer to order which was nice but the store is so well stocked I'd be surprised if that was ever an issue again. The store is very clean, the selection appears to be pretty decent, and the staff is excellent. Definitely worth a visit. Would love it if at some point maybe they'd offer sports cards.

This was a nice enough shop. It’s clearly still set up for organized play, so the space was a little weird. The selection of Magic boosters was good, and the prices were fair. The board game selection was somewhat small, but they had some nice games.

Wonderful place. Employees were conversational and polite without being intrusive or trying to upsell. They had a brilliant variety of Products in stock, so you’d almost certainly find something relevant to your interests. Prices were affordable and reasonable. COVID Guidelines were followed perfectly, so I never had any worries about my health in the store. It’s a little bit farther away than some other gaming/comic stores, but the experience & service provided is well worth the detour.

Commander Friday nights is always our go to. Everyone is almost always pleasant and fun to be around. All levels of skill make it fun for everyone. Awesome selection of cards as well. I do have to say, some music would be a nice addition. Overall a great place to hangout with friends and play some games!

I don’t mind enjoying my Friday nights playing mtg events over at Amazing Discoveries. After a long day of studying its great to be able to sit back and enjoy a game of commander with the boys. They have tons of cards in storage that I could purchase for any deck. They have a lot of board games to choose from. Everyone is super chill. Awesome employees who know how to run the business. My only compliant is it’s sometimes hard to hear people. Overall I would give this place my seal of approval. Two thumbs up for Amazing Discoveries.

Great game store! I have been going here for over a year now. They have large magic the gathering crowd, with a variety of different formats every week. Staff is friendly and always willing help find anything you need. They also have the largest supply of mtg singles for sale in the area. I have always been able to get a card I need there. Besides mtg they have board games to trial and buy aswell as comics.

Really like the remodel recently done. The gaming room really opened up for more fun during events. Staff remains helpful, very knowledgeable and fun. All three stores in Arizona remain the best for Magic the Gathering, miniatures and other role player games & competitions. Keep up the great management and unbeatable stock both in stores and online. Very competitive pricing on collectable cards. Best trade value for your cards you might not use any more.

The staff is very helpful and friendly, taking the time to answer many of my questions and helping me to find the right products for my situation. While the product offerings tend to be a little limited, this place is definitely worth visiting for MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh!, or Pokémon, as well as for their boardgames. I was really happy to see they have a nice variety of Melissa & Doug products, so that I was able to grab something for my younger child to enjoy as well. As far as LGSs go, this is a great store. It has a good TCG variety (though I wish the would get the keyforge game) and some other games. But you can definitely tell their market is around TCGs.

I was coming here before they became amazing discoveries, some of the employees are still the same employees, the atmosphere is the same as any game store that I love to go to. The prices are at or around market price, they will get to know the regulars, and they love the players and love the games as much as the dedicated players. I always love coming here.

If you are a nerd (like me) they have EVERYTHING for you. Whether it's comics to RPG, they have it. I tried looking up D&D miniatures online. They only had them in sets of 20 for 30 dollars. Here, they have individual miniatures for less than 8 dollars each! They have dice, they have campaigns, unpainted miniatures and pre-painted miniatures, Pokemon cards, Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, and more. They also have tables to have sessions at.

I attended my first pre-release event here. For not having played on twenty years and not knowing how anything works everyone from the staff to the seasoned MTG players were friendly and helpful. This place is definitely worthy to be the only LGS I go to. There isn't anything they could have improved upon with tonight's event.

The store itself is great. The atmosphere is inviting and full of interesting products for Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokémon enthusiasts. However, most of the product is overpriced, and that is my only reason for giving a 4/5. No store can be perfect, but if everything was a bit cheaper ADG would definitely come close.

Great store. They are a bit expensive for some events (draft is 15 bucks which is a touch expensive) and they could use some other fun events on days that aren't FNM. I wish some of the staff showed more initiative with interacting and assisting customers. Too many times iv gone to both Gilbert and glendale locations.. only to be given very little to no assistance at all. I want to support My LCS even if it means paying well above retail for some products but If the employee shows no interest in making the sale happen, I leave and buy it for less off ebay.

Large amount of room to play any kind of tabletop game. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday generally has magic players and Tuesday and Saturday has a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh! players. They have friendly staff and you can order from their other shop locations in Tucson or Glendale if they don’t have the cards you are looking for in Gilbert.

I collect mass amounts of Pokemon cards, so much so That I constantly pull doubles of Secret Rares, Textured Ultra Rares, Rainbow Rares, any kind of Rares. So I started to look around to try and find a place to sell my extras and I used to settle for Desert Sky Games when it came time to sell. Until thankfully I found Amazing Discoveries. Ever since my first experience selling my cards here I have always felt comfortable and didnt feel out of place or like I don't belong. Any other time I visited other comic book stores/card shops i.e. Deset Sky Games I always felt like not only the employees but their customers were silently judging me and giving me awkward looks and just making me feel uncomfortable. Highly recommend Amazing Discoveries wether your buying or selling. Great place with great atmosphere and friendly workers that are very knowledgeable at their job.

It's a really big game store. I can only imagine how it would be during a tournament for games. The staff are helpful and friendly. Big selection of Warmachine and Hordes miniatures and a really good. Selection of RPG miniatures. A lot of comic books and a big selection of board games.

This is a little shop owned by a nice old lady, she has almost anything, and everything video game related. If you need anything this lady most likely has it. She's extremely knowledgeable of her games, and she has great prices. Look around her shop I promise you might find a gem or two.

I remember riding my mountain bike almost 7 miles in junior high to get Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast back when this place was called Game Zone (or Game Crazy, one of the two). It was 112 outside and I’ll always remember stepping in to the cool air conditioning and thinking “My god, I have arrived” to all the video game and anime stuff that previously had been the territory of expensive importers. I bought PSO and raced home to play it... Then less than an hour later, made the ride again to get the Dreamcast keyboard. This was nearly 20 years ago at this point, but you know what? I am so glad you guys are still there doing it!
