This was my first time in Ontario Street Comics, and it was like being in a fever dream. Truthfully, I could've spent an entire day inside, sifting through the innumerable boxes of comic books. There are comic books everywhere, and this is Ontario Street's only fault, besides a clearly overwhelmed staff member that seemed to bristle from my questions: the place is chaotic. There are boxes of books covering the main tabletops containing back issues. There are boxes on the floors. On the shelves. Jammed into corners. Inaccessible because of a random wheelchair and a pile of old cardboard and more books. If Ontario Street pooled their resources and took some time to do some more organizing, they would be the best stocked shop in Philadelphia. As is, though, it's very difficult to find anything that you're looking for. To their credit, they seem aware, and hence the one staff member's aforementioned frustrations. Get the community in there and let's tidy the place up!

This is an old-school comic book shop for old-school comic book guys...like me! When you walk in you immediately smell the print in the air! I was there looking for action figures, but the comics selection was unquestionable.

“In a world…” where most comic stores have comics as afterthoughts with most square footage given over to RPGs, figurines, card games the like, Ontario Street comics is the Holy Grail. It looks like a comic warehouse exploded in there, and like 90s Scrooge McDuck you too can swim through the riches therein. I saw there was no discernible organization system, which I’m actually okay with, and just asked for assistance which was quickly rendered and with positive results—mid-90s (Marvel) War Machine. Their pricing is spot on (for what I picked up anyway). You could spend a full weekend in there scavenging for treasures. It is not in the best part of Philly, actually very scary deserted road/intersection, but like any big city try going in the full light of day and be cautious and you should be fine. Time has stood still here, it’s the good ol’ days of comic shops in Philadelphia, so treat yourself and pay them a visit.

Hidden gem of a shop! While the area isn’t great I’ve never had problems driving there. Amazing selection of comics, memorabilia, figurines, and cards. I stop by for MtG boosters and it’s always a great experience. Definitely recommend a stop by. It’s like stepping back in time in some ways!

Ontario Street Comics has been my favorite place to go for comics and collectables. The owner William The Captain of OSC is an amazing person and a legend among the community. I bought my 1st pack of pokemon cards here when I was a kid. Also the movies Unbreakable and Glass were filmed at this iconic location.

Love these guys! In a world where hobby collectors seem to be trying to gouge people's eyes out w/prices, act like complete jerks to customers (see the store on Street Road just off Knights, or sometimes both. The guys here are both fair and kind, it's always a pleasant experience!

My name is actually Rick , lol and i've been going there for quite sometime ! Their store is massive , and they have a large selection of back issues ! They also have a ton of statues and figures ! The only thing is the boxes to sort through in the back ( left hand side ) , the random stuff , is covered in dust , lol ! But otherwise the place is awesome , very nice people as well ! Their truly a neighborhood , hell a PHILLY institution !! But they're fairly well priced and will order whatever if you let them know you need it !

This is always one of my other favorite comic places when I'm in the Northeast area. A lot of the times they'll have variant copies at cover prices but to get the hot Comics you got to be there today they come out like at most other comic stores. Just try to support their store and all the other comic stores out here right now. If you love Comics they all need our help

I’ve been going there for years and it’s one of my favorite stores to visit . I took my children when they were small and now they are grown men, we still go. I recommend anyone who likes comics or is an action figure collector, they must go. This is a gold mine for collectors, plus the staff is always polite and helpful.

Been coming here since I was a teenager and it was an indoor flea market with a section dedicated to comics. The owner and his family are great and so is the selection. Lots of older single issue comics if you're looking to complete an arc. It won't hurt to check them out.

Definitely one of the biggest comic book stores I have ever been too and has a HUGE selection of current comics, back issues, vintage comics, action figures and statues. If you're looking for a comic back issue which is difficult to find or looking for some vintage action figures.. This is definitely the place to be. It could use an air conditioner though... especially in the summer.

After visiting many (I think all) of the comic shops in Philly I would say this one has to be my favorite. They have BY FAR the largest selection of back issues and a very knowledgeable staff. The selection is great. My girlfriend was looking for Lady Death and I was looking for Thor, we both found copious amounts of each at very reasonable prices. Do yourself a favor and visit this place, you won't be disappointed.

Went here for the first day of their New Year sale and I was quite impressed with their extensive selection. My first time In the store and I was amazed at how big it is. Great deals and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. My ONLY gripe was that they have so much stuff and some of it isnt organized so you really have to go through alot of stuff to find what you want. However, that IS part of the fun!

I can see if you are in to vintage comics that this place might be heaven but my guys didn't find anything they wanted. They thought it smelled to...well anytime you have that much old stock, it is going to smell but it could use a cleaning.
