Legend holds a special place in my heart. All the employees are some of the kindest, most respectful people I have ever met. They really take the time to get to know you (and learn your name by your second or third visit) and help you find whatever you're into. Not to mention my husband and I got engaged there...and they helped him set it all up! The store is really one big family and we (including my children) just adore going there. They have an amazing selection of comics, plus the coffee and food are great. BUT what makes Legend is the people. I can't say enough good things. Truly.

This was a very cool little shop! I was visiting Omaha with my kids and we like to check out the local comic shops wherever we go. This place had a lot of trade paper backs/graphic novels and had 50% off of a bunch. Great selection of new comics from the big publishers and a smallish but very well organized back issue section. One very cool thing they had was comic bundles that collected certain issue runs/stories. The dude that was working in there(seemed to me to be the owner or at least manager), was very friendly snd helpful. That's a HUGE plus for me as believe it or not I have been in quite a few shops where the owners are not very nice. Almost like they feel they are doing you a favor or something by being open. NOT the case here. Support your local businesses instead of just the big box online stores! I didn't ask if they do Previews orders but if you're a local that's a question I'd ask. I'm not sure how many shops do that anymore but they used to.

Great comics and game shop. Got a pack of mtg cards they've got lots of real in your hand stuff entertainment/play, still wish they had more space for more products. Employee was super nice! Too bad Omaha's "development scene" has forced this small business to downsize and, currently, they can't exist in their ideal iteration; bc we love coffee and comics

Fantastic selection of comic books, graphic novels, and manga. Also plenty of fun fan favorites, like Funko Pop bobbleheads and figurines. They even have a kids section and section for books and comics about social issues and showcasing LGBTQIA characters. Absolutely love it!

A pillar of the community. I first discovered Legend when I moved to Omaha a few years ago. I was looking for somewhere to buy Magic: The Gathering cards and did not expect what I was going to get. I walked into a cozy, wood-floored wonderland that smelled pleasantly of coffee. There, I was met with amazing service, and the wonderful personalities of both Dave, Wendy, and all their amazing employees. Never once have I had a bad experience here. Never once has anyone abused my trust or attempted to undercut me when I'm buying or selling cards. They have a wide selection of not only cards, but comic books as well- and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. The passion they have for comics is exactly what you would want in the people selling them. They have an amazing rewards program, whose model I prefer over any other game store I've been to. It's really an amazing place that I want to see up and running for years to come. It's not just my local game store, it's our local game store. Oh yeah, and the coffee's amazing.

Legend is amazing. Their coffee is well-made and the staff know what they're doing. As for comics, I can't say much beyond I know the staff there know their stuff, but I haven't bought any myself. Their Magic card prices are comparable to online retailers and sometimes a fair bit better. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area, though. Definitely a local gem.

Great store!! They have a diverse selection of back issues and trade paperbacks along with games and cards. Easy to find what you want and a knowledgeable staff to help if you can't. Don't neglect the coffee shop side of the store while there. Great coffee and snacks to fuel your comic binge. Also, be sure to look at the half price trades located in the coffee side of the store. They're gently used and worth checking out.

First time costumer - went there yesterday. Better than ANY LCS in my home town of Kansas City by far. Wish it were closer to me but well worth the 3 hour tour. Gracious staff - Delicious Iced Coffee - Very Organized - Friendliest and most Knowledgeable Staff on Planet Earth - Great Listening Music while Browsing the Ginormous amount of Goods including Bad Idea Comics. Awesome comic book store. It's a great place to go for any comic or board games. However we waited a ridiculously long time for our coffee. So if you're looking for decent service for coffee, don't go here.

If you're a comic book nerd like myself, this place is heaven. They have a very diverse selection of comics. Everyone is certain to find something they'll like and the employees are very helpful and can help you find a specific issue. They also have a really quaint coffee shop set up on one half of the building. Their refreshments are made by baristas who know what they're doing. Overall, one of my favorite places in Omaha!

Wendy and Dave at Legends are two of the greatest shop owners I’ve ever met. They make everyone feel welcome and knew my name the second time I came in. They love to just talk comics, their shop is one of the nicest in the city. Extremely organized and merchandise is fairly priced. Go in, browse their selection and buy something and then head over to their coffee shop and grab a drink to go (during covid). Once the pandemic is over this shop is a great place to hang out and read books while sipping a drink!

Legend Comics is a great local store. First, it's very unique and stylish in its appearance. I recently went there to find some back issues and they went to great lengths to find them for me even though they have thousands of books available. They also saved me a copy of a hot book and sold it to me at cover price when other stores around town were selling it for 20 dollars for a base cover that came out that day. You don't often see stores of any kind (especially collectibles) eschewing profit to keep their customers happy, but Legend did. I'd argue it's the better decision for the long term. Anyway, don't hesitate to go here for your comics or anything similar - you will enjoy it.

Great clean store with a side coffee shop business. The owner is a genuinely nice guy, and he raises a ton of money for charity each year. Their discounted graphic novel selection (found on the coffee shop side of the store) is pretty decent. I love their system for back issues - it's really sharp! There's not that much of an action figure selection, but that's okay.

This a great local coffee shop with loads of comic book paraphernalia and other nerdy treasures for our inner children. I've only had a few different drinks here, but they've all been great, and competitively priced as well. Worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood!

I wish there were more stars to give Legend Comics and Coffee. A nerd haven while always remaining classy and comfortable. I played Magic here regularly and enjoyed the great venue and smart people. Coffee shop is a perfect addition and draws the local college crowd to make it very comfortable to sit and play a game, work, or enjoy some coffee and snacks. The staff here is extremely knowledgeable and they often helped me pick out presents for my young cousins and know just what would be the right fit for them. The owner also raises thousands of dollars for charity each year and brings the comic community together. It doesn't get any better.

Actually stubbled upon this place because of a school project. Amazing atmosphere! Everyone was super friendly. My boyfriend had a cup of coffee and it was delicious! Oh and a muffin! Will come back. The owner was very friendly, knowledgeable and really cares about his business.

Visiting Omaha and stopped here since it had coffee and comics. Great spot, wish there was a place like this in my local area. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Nice selection of comics, including a nice wall of independents. Back issues are easy to search through. Plus, there's a stack of TPBs next to the coffee shop that are half off. Grab something new, grab a coffee, and grab a seat. Planning on coming here every morning I'm in town for a coffee and a quick read.

Friendly staff, great prices. I'm not into comics much but they have a good selection of Magic cards. I did give it 10 stars because the Cafe line is slow. It took 10 minutes to get an iced tea (already brewed) and mountain Dew.

Great atmosphere and loved how the place was set up. I came in with a few items in mind and had a really easy time finding the vast majority of them. I couldn't find one or two issues so I stopped at the register and was immediately (and enthusiastically) helped. I even got some recommendations in a very conversational and friendly way. I thought it was great that the staff was available, friendly, non-judgmental, and helpful. In my experience, I can't say that about other stores like it in the Omaha area. Highly recommend based on customer service, the decent coffee, and the amazingly organized layout.

I have been there a few times now. Each for different reasons (trivia, comics, and Magic). Every time I go I am reminded of why I like it so much. The workers are always so nice, accommodating, and really approachable. You can go in there for one thing and end up leaving with multiple things just because the service is so nice. And I never feel cheated out of money because prices are reasonable. I recommend this place for anyone who loves coffee, tea, baked goods, comics, Magic, or all of the aforementioned.

They offer a little bit for everyone’s taste, a lot of comics of different variety. The shop is very aesthetically pleasing and the staff are amazing (specially mike!) coffee’s are wonderful plus the pastries. I would highly recommend this shop to any comic fan!

The friendliest comic shop I've ever been in. Always have a wonderful selection of comics that go well with a Sunday coffee. Another great thing is my daughter feels comfortable to frequent this comic shop on her own. A big plus in my mind.

I will never spend my money at another Comic book store. The selection was amazing. The gentleman working the shop was named Mike. He took the time to engage us in our interests. Mike treated my kids kindly. I will be honest it was the first time that a comic book store employee had showed any interest in them. When you go in there are awards from Make A Wish. I asked about them. Every year they have a raffle and donate to them. The front counter is surrounded by drawings from children thanking Legends for showing them around and teaching them about the history of comics. All of this was relayed to me by Mike who you could tell not only enjoyed his job but was proud of where he worked. The selection was good and I put in a special order. Please anyone who loves comics and has kids bring them here. My kids loves it as did my husband and I.

I randomly found this gem at it's old location after experiencing the WORST DATE EVER! Since then, I've never needed to go to another Comic Store. The owners and staff are incredibly courteous. Stop in more then once, and it's only a matter of time before they learn your name and greet you at the door. If your item is not on the shelves, they are happy to order it for you, as well as recommend items that are in stock that you might like. The coffee shop adds to the homey feel of the shop. On top of their signature coffee flavors, they also offer classic phosphate sodas in a variety of fun flavors. Great place for comic and coffee fans, kids and adults of all ages.

absolutely love legends for their inventive coffee/drink menu, the amazing selection of comics and other nerdy merchandise, and friendly service. but i will say as a seasoned barista myself, i always get the impression that the baristas aren’t trained very well. any time i stop at the drive thru, i’m waiting for at least 10 minutes for a single iced latte, and 15-20 for multiple lattes. i went inside last time and had to repeat my “small iced mocha made with soy” order no less than five times - no exaggeration. the coffee is always good, but i have such bizarre experiences. lol.

Was in town from Boston for a wedding and this spot was a perfect little cultural oasis amidst the endless desert of chain restaurants and, well, other chain restaurants. Had a wonderfully dank Americano, bought a Lying Cat tee, and a couple of comics. Totally brightened my day. Great shop.

The staff is really proactive and have helped this young consumer find what he is looking for, demonstrating patience with the sometimes painful sock-drawer change counting transaction. Probably the best decor I've seen at a comic book store. Selection is probably the most lacking, but at the same time it's kind of refreshing to be in a comic book store that isn't a complete mess of stuff stacked on top of each other. The coffee is OK, and I really buy it because the atmosphere is nice. I have a hard time getting what I want a lot on release day, otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

I love Legends! It is a super clean and well stocked comic store that also sells board games, graphic novels, magic cards, and more. Always willing to participate in the community for events! And also has a coffee shop attached, if you have a craving to read and drink java.

Legend has been my go-to spot for comics, coffee and studying for years. I started going as an undergrad when I first moved to Omaha and was immediately welcomed by the friendly staff and patrons. The co-owners know everyone by name and are always eager to talk about whatever new geeky thing making its way through pop culture. They also have an amazing charity event that benefits the Make-a-wish foundation. If you're visiting Omaha or live here and have never been, it's definitely worth checking out

Legend Coffee and Comics is by far my favorite comic shop in the city. The staff is welcoming, unassuming and helpful. The historic building has become an anchor to its neighborhood with the coffee shop bringing in community members who traditionally had no interest in comics. They also work with Make-A-Wish annually in some pretty inspiring ways. All in all, they are a shining example of a business that is greater than the sum of their parts.

Having gone to other comic stores in the past, I can say that none compare to the polite and relaxed atmosphere of Legends. They live up to their name amongst my friends, being the comic store of choice, and a great coffee shop too. If you like to play magic, read comics, or enjoy a good cup'o'joe, this is the place to be.

Although I could probably find just about any comic book in cbr format online there is nothing more nostalgic than holding a beloved issue in your hands and reading it. The smell of recycled paper, slightly yellowed from time, excites the senses. I looked for issues that I remembered and was not disappointed.. To me this place is a nirvana which I intend to visit again and again.....and again!

Fantastic coffee along with an amazing selection of graphic novels, collectables, comics, and bored games. The service is by far the best I have seen in a comic store and the ability to add comics to a pull list insures I don't miss a comic. Also there is a German bakery directly across the street that serves some of the best food around. Grab a doughnut, or five, from there and a coffee from legends and enjoy your comics.

As a whole, I love this place and it is my favorite comic book/hobby store in town. The coffee shop is great and is reason alone to visit, but once you factor a way for me to indulge in all my favorite hobbies you've really got me hooked. I do have a few things that bum me out, that if the staff is reading I hope they at least consider, but I did not feel right giving Legend less than 5 stars despite the things that bum me out. Bummers: 1. I am there a lot and spend a fair amount, but the staff still is still so leery about leaving me with the MTG cards. I have never done anything sketchy and it kind of offends me. I feel trustworthy at this point and other shops treat me that way. 2. The MTG case is really empty lately. 3. I really wish the MTG guy would work weekends more often or if there was someone else that could help me. As a hobby, MTG gets far more of my time on the weekends than the weekdays and making weekdays is hard.

the food/coffee was really good but the brat worker was so rude. when me and my friend walked in she started arguing with a a guy. and then me and my friend went up to the counter to get a drink and she wasn’t there. so we clicked the bell that you where supposed to click to get the workers attention if they aren’t looking and she turned around and said “i’m working on someone else’s drink right now hold on” with a huge attitude🙄

SERVICE Legend Comics & Coffee to me is the next level comic book and coffee shop. They know what they are doing. They know what to stock, how much to stock, who to approach and who to just let enjoy that experience of just flipping through cover after covers. If you have questions, they have answers and they are there. DECOR Somebody has been listening to all those older comic book fans who have said, if I had my own library or study it would look like this. And, that is what Legend Comics did with low lighting, hard wood trim and floors, the best art in the industry thrown on walls, retro furniture and a bar full of caffeine and sugar...two major ingredients for comic fans of all ages. FOOD Perfect. This is fantastic marketing. What good is a customer to your store if their shopping habits are find, buy, leave? Legend Comics adds a reason to stay by offering very good coffee and hot chocolate (so my son tells me), the best pastries from across the street (Gerda's) at no more cost than your typical coffee shop. A great combo. COST PER PERSON My thinking is with 6 bucks you can grab a book and a coffee. If you're there to begin with you have time to kill. Take your mobile or laptop and enjoy the WiFi. Long winded, but I like my comics. A comicbook shop, to all us fans, is the champion for all those years of providing an escape between glossy covers and newsprint. Legend Comics & Coffee would be that Knight to our cause.

The first time I went the shop I was greeted and talked to the person behind the counter. I was surprised by how friendly and knowledgable the staff was on comics that I read. They have the best selection of non Marvel/DC comics in the Omaha area. Unlike some of the shops in town that don't carry many non Big 2 comics, this shop has had everything I've been looking for everytime I've been to the store. Highly recommend checking it out.

For someone who is a comic book newbie I was a little intimidated going into a comic shop and asking questions. I expected to get looked down upon for not being as up on comics as the employees would be, but everyone I've dealt with at Legend has been extremely helpful, understanding and excited to help my son and I get into comics. There are many comic shops closer to our house but Legend is where we feel most welcome and that's why we keep going back.

Good quick service when we arrived around 10am. A lot of good comics to read, even when the comic side isn't open. (We picked up the first trade of Saga for $5!) The comic staff was knowledgeable and helped me pick out a few good trades I hadn't heard of. Oh, and the Pokestop has tons of Clefaries and Jigglypuffs.
