Great people with a wealth of comic book knowledge. Not much they don't have an answer for. Great deals. They hold amazing events for customers to participate in. It's my go-to place. If they can't find it in-store, they'll help guide you in the right direction to get it. I feel like I owe them dinner with everything they've done for me.

Came for the comics, staying for the friends and community! This is more than a comic shop, it is a gem in the community. Super Hero school is an awesome free program for kids (and entertaining for adults), and wonderful volunteers dress up to portray their characters. I discovered this place (and comics in general) on Free Comic Book Day, due to numerous super heroes running around. Do NOT miss this shop on Free Comic Book Day! They even have their own Convention in the summer! The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

The staff has always been very friendly. The assortment of titles always diverse, and even if they don't have something, chances are it can be easily ordered. Fair pricing, nice atmosphere, and genuinely nice clientele. Support your local comic shop! I've been using this shop for weekly pulls loyally for a few years now on and off, and they're extremely considerate and always willing to chat about what's going on in current solicitations! If you're new to comics, chances are they'll have recommendations for you no matter what. This shop is newcomer friendly!

Best comic book store in town. This is not hyperbole. I have been going to this store for over 30 years, and it still has one of the best back issue bins around. It also has a great selection of trade paperbacks, collectables, and RPG gaming resources. On top of that, New World is a true community mainstay, and I have known the current owner since he was just a young clerk at the store. So, I can insure you, that he knows comics and everything in-between. If you love comics and community, you will love New World Comics.

I LOVE this store! If you haven't ever been you definitely should try it out! The people are great and helpful. I have a brother that is a huge comic book fan and when I need help they are always right there with advice. Plus, if you have never been there for FREE COMIC book day in May you should!! Costumes are awesome and plenty of stuff for big and little kids

This place is amazing! We went to check out their Superhero School on Saturday mornings. My kids loved it. The store is a little disorganized and messy and could use a good cleaning, but their selection is amazing and the staff is so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back more often.

I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Super friendly and approachable staff, who also hold a great local comic con once a year. Great selection of back issues, and I enjoy that the focus of the store is 98% comics (not so much games and toys). Best shop in Oklahoma.

We went for Super Hero school Saturday and it was a whole lot of fun. My 3 year old son loved it. I used to come to this comic book shop when I was a kid and always liked their huge selection of comic books and memorabilia. They have even more stuff these days and do some things in weekends and such. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will continue to come here and we'll definitely be back for Super Hero school.

I have a bunch of good things to say about my recent trip to New World Comics. One thing that I really liked and caught my attention immediately was the display with local comic book creators. Very few places give list creators such a prominent placement. It means a lot to me to see that. With events like their Superhero School, their dedication to the community is clear. The store was organized well. The lighting was great. The selection was right on target and the staff was both attentive and nice. I bought a new comic and a graphic novel while I was there and I'm looking forward to going back and supporting them in the future. You should too.

Great selection of comics and super friendly staff. They are very knowledgeable about the comics in the store and can point you in the right direction when you are looking for something new. They have many great events too, such as Super Hero School every other weekend. They also have what I feel are the best sales on free comic book day as well. Great comic shop, knowledgeable and friendly staff. They do a superhero school for the kids on most Saturdays that's a blast. Edit: although if you bring your kid in on a day that they're not having SHS, the employees will tend to talk about your family as if you're not standing there. Shame, I've been going to this place longer than the current owner has.

This is one of my favorite comic stores in the north Oklahoma City area. They have a vast selection of well-organized back issues, new issues and graphic novels, reasonable prices, and a helpful, friendly staff. The store is large, well-lit, clean, and welcoming to everyone. I also appreciate that the long boxes are on low tables so that people who are on the shorter side can reach the backs of the boxes without standing on tiptoes. They often have really good sales and events for families and children. I highly recommend checking out this store when visiting Oklahoma City.

Fantastic. I've been coming here for years, and I haven't set foot in another comic book store since. The owner and his staff are incredible. Dont know what to read? Tell them what you like, or are interested in and they will find something for you! The conversation you can have at the store alone is priceless. Nuff said.

They definitely have a lot of stuff. But if you want a subscription you're better off going to DZ comics or All Star comics unless you want to wait 2 months to be guaranteed anything and you have to pay in advance.

Buck (the owner) is one of few good people that I know personally that also run a business. He is a straight shooter. If you have comics to sell, and he sees nothing there, he will tell you. If you bring in a real find, he is going to pay the fairest (to both parties) price that he can. He sells anyone that will walk in the door, and usually make a friend in the process. If you are new or tired of what you are reading he and the veteran reader staff can make a recommendation along with whatever you can think of. If you have a kid that is really into whatever superhero or team, or show, they can recommend something similar, if not the back issues that make up the history of that concept or character. If you have kids that like superheroes or if you are a big kid that likes 'em too, come on down every other Saturday (usually, give them a call to check) and see cosplayers teaching about the they are portraying. Superhero School is for all ages, and don't worry about the villains that show up, they are properly wrangled for everyone's safety!
