This place does not feel like a store- in the best way possible. The atmosphere in here is cozy, peaceful, and inspiring. The book selection itself feels more like a curated library, and I’ve been able to discover several good reads because of that. This is a great place to stop by during a break and just take a look around and enjoy the vibes.

Commonplace is so much more than a bookstore. Ben and his team have created a special place when people can feel welcome and cared for whether you leave with a bag full of books or just a longer list of things you want to read. Kids can browse books not commonly seen on the shelves of big box stores, play with shop dog Boz, and be little community builders as they learn to take care of their bookstore. While the goal of Commonplace is simple, it’s unique to find such a sweet place to return to over and over.

Just by chance I saw Commonplace open on Sunday morning, my first thought was how welcoming, and beautiful this store is, plus it smelled so good. Commonplace is a mixture between bookstore, candle store and library. As I was leaving I noticed a basket full of plain wrapped books with the stamp (Blind Date With a Book). What fun! I bought a nonfiction and a classic. I walked out of Commonplace with a smile on my face.

We came here to get a few books for a party at the perfect time. The children's story time on Saturdays was taking place and we had no clue. My girls loved it. The free donuts and juice would have done the trick by itself but the fun book reading and sweet employees made it even better. It definitely was a cute surprise for all of us.

I happened to come across this bookstore after going to the farmer's market. I wasn't even aware this store exists, but I am so glad it does! It is very inviting and cozy. It brought me back to the days where I used to spend hours at a bookstore just for fun. I look forward to going back! The owner was very warm and kind Also, I loved the individualized customer service. You just don't see that so much anymore. So glad to have this bookstore in town!

I immediately was cozy when we walked in. Such a lovely space and so inviting. If it weren’t for my toddler I would have stayed for hours. We found some awesome books for him and cannot wait to come back for more. Owner was friendly and the bookstore dog was so sweet.

My family loves this store! We try to visit as often as we can and we have always had such a wonderful experience every time we shop here. They have a great selection that spans beyond books. I loved the "blind date with a book" idea! Great place to go if you are looking for a gift.
