Reviews of Atomik Pop!
There was loads of stuff here, which took me by surprise. Had fun though going through and figuring out if they had the books I wanted (which they did.)
Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about what they sell.
Great place to shop, for all nerds at heart.
We went in for the first time and found a nice little comic shop. There was plenty to choose from between the comics, manga, graphic novels, and action figures. Some of the stuff wasn't priced but all I had to do was ask. The owner was very friendly and gave us some deals. Stop by and support your local stores if you are in the area!
We’ve been coming here since 2012 & refuse to buy comics or manga anywhere else. If they can order the back issues for us, we’ll take those too. Absolutely love this place and we visit anytime we can.
Great staff, very knowledgeable and always willing to help you find whatever you are looking for
Awesome place for comics, manga, collectibles and collectible statues. Theres a wide variety of fandom from Hello Kitty to Infinity Gauntlet coin banks. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Cannot recommend this place enough! Super kind staff, great selection. A gentleman who works there even remembered that I was having trouble finding an issue of a certain series, and set a copy aside for me when he found it just in case I came back!
I tell everyone in Lawton about this store, my hidden gem store. I would make the 1.5 hr drive to literally only search his store. The owner is a very nice guy and the right amount of hands off. I’m a comic book collector, he has many cool looking toys and books but I love his comics. It may not be “organized” like other stores but to me that is what makes this shop unique. I love to search through the book shelves and boxes for major keys. I have found some great books for way under current trends and right on. Some are overpriced but comic prices are no set in stone price so it’s just prices I may not wanna pay for a specific one so I move on. I am leaving and will miss this store. Thanks for the assistance and time well spent. I will be back if I’m ever anywhere near the area.
Always super friendly and helpful whenever I go in to shop!
The employees who work here are extremely helpful, not to mention competent. The selection is huge and varied, and they have no problem ordering anything that is available. The store is clean and quite roomy, and I can't stress how inviting the atmosphere is ESPECIALLY compared to other comic-book stores. I'd give them 6-stars if it were possible-alas, it is not.
Friendly staff & a large selection which honestly is also my only complaint. They could use a bigger space it feels cramped and like im going to bump into something if i turn around too fast.
I was visiting from Kansas and thought I'd check out some comic shops. Lots of new comic and graphic novels, not very clean and very messy. Not very organized, the pictures are not even close to what the inside of the story looks like. They may need to consider a bigger store.
They take care of their customers. I really appreciate being able to walk in and know that the new issues of ______________ . They always not only get the subscriptions but also tend to get shelf copies. The store is also always clean, organized, and has great products to check out while you're there. They will also order tons of stuff if they don't have it in stock. Highly recommend.
I ordered and then purchased a newer comic from this store through E-BAY and received the item very quickly and was very pleased with the condition and the over all packaging of the item.
I was very surprised that upon opening my item the seller had enclosed several other free items to show his appreciation for my purchase.
I would highly recommend this store and this seller in the future. I am extremely pleased at how I was treated. Thank you, thank you!
The last time i came here I was a teenager the place is still the same, variety of comics and manga it is small on the inside. But, good place to come to find a variety of things.
Great place for Manga and more. Update: My daughter went into the shop by herself, I was in the shop next door, they treated her very nice and even helped her order her next book. My daughter is shy and she felt like they treated her like a full grown adult. Well worth the drive and patronage.
Love this place! Favorite comic book store I've found so far in OKC. It's a semi-small store packed full of comics and miscellaneous action figures and collectibles. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, they'll give you all of the information you need on any comics. I was a little skeptical walking up but I LOVE it! They also have a couple back issue Walking Dead which I haven't been able to find in other stores around town. All in all great store, definitely recommend.
This store is packed with so much stuff you can't help but feel giddy right when you walk in! Shelves were organized enough that there was a still a sense of exploration and excitement while browsing. I was surprised to find stuff from Japan too. Probably a good quarter of the store. Manga, Light Novels, Figures, Art Books, etc. The lone attendant, Joey, was great and answered any questions a newbie like me had. He was welcoming and more than willing to have a conversation. Very much worth a stop before heading to/from the airport but expect to spend some time if you like to browse. I picked up some American and Japanese stuff and one more item I wasn't expecting. Thanks Atomik Pop!
My favorite comic book shop. Love how they do business. Reasonable and straight forward.
Went for the first time with my girls. It's wall to wall, ceilings to floor, lots of diversity, but more new and anthology selections, less rare and collectable. The selection for kids was pretty good but not a lot of floor space devoted to it. The guy behind the counter was helpful, but not super into being personable, kind of lends itself to the comic book store experience though. Great place to go and find new things, keep the local shops alive, but Amazon is often less than MSRP, a feat brick and mortar stores like this one don't attempt much.
Great comic store! It is not just comic books, it has all comic paraphernalia, action figures, bobble heads, lunch boxes, games, books, posters, and the always popular bargain $.99 boxes- all stacked floor to ceiling in this small retail space. Music is jamming and the vibe is very cool.
Atomic Pop has the best selection of new and old Comics and Classic Compilations. The action figures give the store a feel of stepping back into a clasic toy store.
Joe and Steve are dedicated to helping customers find that special item for your collection or a gift for a friend.
The store is very clean, well lit and organized. Each purchase gets you a 20% Off Coupon for one regular priced item on your next visit (within 10 days).
Nice store. Clean with a lot of interesting inventory. Owner pleasant and talkative. Over heard him talking to a teacher to provide comics for the classroom. Heartily approve.
More than just comics -- great selection of toys, video games, and cool stuff from Japan. The staff is friendly and welcomes fans of all ages. Affordable prices. They support indie creators, and YES they have Cathair Apocalypse!
From what I seen very awesome selection of merchandise, I didn't get to browse long at all though. The store is small they definitely need a bigger location for all the Merch. Will go back for sure though worth a second or third or fourth look lol.
I bought comics from a friend and their sticker is placed on the cover of the comics. Don’t put your business sticker on a comic is looks bad and ruins the comic if you try and take it off..
A great comic shop. I miss the Norman location. Lots of stuff to find. They have a large assortment of graphic novels and statues. They have Japanese manga too. I think there is something for everybody here. Definitely check them out.
Great place! The owner was super nice and gave my kids some of the free comics and they thought that was the coolest thing. Definitely recommend this place! Alot of cool stuff!
The owner (I think he's the owner, at least the guy at the counter) is awesome and can hold a conversation. The store is full of comics, collectibles, and pop culture. If you're looking for a back issue, this is the best place to start.
This place is def a gem. The people are very nice and out going. Def support them!!
comic book, also called comic magazine or (in United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually, dialog contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form. Although comics has some origins in 18th century Japan, comic books were first popularized[disputed – discuss] in the United States and the United Kingdom during the 1930s. The first modern comic book, Famous Funnies, was released in the US in 1933 and was a reprinting of earlier newspaper humor comic strips, which had established many of the story-telling devices used in comics.[1] The term comic book derives from American comic books once being a compilation of comic strips of a humorous tone; however, this practice was replaced by featuring stories of all genres, usually not humorous in tone.
I have been coming to this store off and on for over a decade, and honestly it feels the same. There's a lot of stuff packed into a small space, random things in random places, but i enjoy it. If you need help with anything just ask.
It was good, but everything was a mess. There were books on the floor and some in boxes wich obviously needed to go on a shelve and manly nsfw manga.
A very good selection for nerd stuff from comics to figures an memorabilia. A bit pricey especially on something's that are older but are pretty common. But its pretty awesome, i dropped about $80 bucks on some books an memorabilia
First time there and will be back. Packed full of comics, graphic novels, manga and all sorts of other fun things. Can't wait to bring my daughter!
Awesome store!! I enjoyed my time looking at everything. The employee working was outstanding in his effort to help me. Offered other locations for me to try regarding the product I was looking for.
Love this place. They have alot of amazing collectables and comics. I really wish though some of the product wasn't super pricey but I understand costs.
It has manga which is great but kinda compacted plus didnt have the manga i was looking for so i dont believe they have older mangas from.like 2005
Old guy at the register passed gas very loudly with Me inside it was nasty! Very unprofessional makes me never Wanna return.
Staff was very help for and nice, guy gave me a deal on asm 400, very helpful helping me find other books (I'm from out of town) and all and all would go back again if I'm in the area.
Very friendly and helpful staff, knowledgeable and just really cool. Great place to pick up your comics.
A mistake was made on an order I made and the staff at Atomik Pop corrected it beyond my expectations. Will do business with them again. I am very happy.
Very well stocked--you'll find what you're looking for here. And the counter guy, not sure if he was the owner, was extremely friendly.
If you like collecting a variety of comics then this is the play for you. Also, very cool piggy banks (not actual pigs but like super hero and star wars banks).
Great comic book store. Staff is awesome and can help you find almost anything.
Amazing store, they have everything comic related you could ever want!
This place is amazing it has cool ass toys and all the comic books and everything you would want magazines books novels everything
Most definitely the best comic book store in the area! Only downside I can think of is they require a minimum purchase to use a CC.
Great comic shop, tons of cool toys, and they always have plenty of current issue comics. A+++
Best selection of graphic novels hands down. New and used. I was blown away and found my new place. Seriously look no further
Employee was helpful. Knew his comics, even special ordered a book for my daughter.
They have a very nice selection of comics, graphic novels and collectibles. They are very friendly and very helpful everytime I visit.
Kinda small but very good selection plus got a exclusive Pop from them in great condition. Thanks again!
The store is very well organized and the owner is not only nice but extremely helpful, going above and beyond to help his customers.
Small store, everything was a bit everywhere but all and all ok comic book store.
Best comic shop in the metro. I live pretty far on the north side, and I pass numerous other stores to come here.
God I love this place. They had almost everything I wanted and the service is just fantastic.
Cute, but just for comics and novelties. Nothing much after, kinda small, but a cool place to get comics
Great store, has plenty of new issues as well as back issues, the staff is friendly and helpful, but the store is very small and kind of disorganized.
