It’s been years, and we only grow to love this place more and more. I came here when i was younger and now frequent their selection with my son. So glad to have a such a great comic and collectibles shop standing strong in a great neighborhood. Ty paradox!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I can't think of anything that could make my visits to this store any better! Pretty sure I've been stopping in here over 20 years. Whether I'm coming in to buy something or just to pick up the monthly free "Previews" magazine, I'm consistently treated with respect, and never feel rushed or pressured to buy something. Dealing with Carol, Mike, or any of the other employees, they always come through with the suggestions I need to find what I need. If you're Looking for a collector's item, a gift, or to rummage through boxes marked .50, $1, or $5 Paradox Comics has something for the whole family. There's a reason they have been around for ALMOST 30 YEARS! I wouldn't think to buy online when I can come in, enjoy the shopping experience, discussions and support this fantastic local business!

Great knowledgeable and friendly staff. Large selection of new and back issues, including Marvel DC IMAGE. They don't get a lot of variant covers but get at least a few every month. Great local shop ambiance, kids friendly, eclectic selection of action figures and statues

The staff is incredibly helpful! They’ll answer any questions you may have, offer as many recommendations as you want, and talk comics as long as they can. It’s a great place to buy books and I love going as often as I can. The store has an incredible collection of books so there’s always something to find that’s worth reading. In addition, they have a lot of great funko pops to collect!

Paradox is like an extended family. You don't go in there and just shop and go it's also a little meeting place. And the people who work there and own the store you get to know them by first names. The products are good if you're looking for what's there you will find it. And as far as wanting something else they will order things for you if they can.

This place... I tell you... It was small, compact, organized, busy, everyone was super nice, selection was great! My only qualm was I was there the day before the sale and headed home the day of the sale. Bummer for me because I would have cleaned up. I'll definitely be back on my next trip. Thanks!

My preferred LCS. Great owner and staff always make you feel welcome and always have a great selection of books cards and collectibles. Prices are also very good. I've never left empty handed. A collectors shop the way it should be run.

Very organized store. They have a very wide variety of comics and collectible action figures. Everything is very reasonably priced. And the owners are very welcoming to their customers.

Great place. Stopped to pick up gift for grandson. Mid afternoon on a Tuesday, store was busy, chock-full of a variety comic and associated items. Nice layout friendly and cooperative staff. Explained the free comics for young children program and were generous with these early reader books. These are nice folks with a nice store. If you live near North Arlington stop and make your next purchase there. If you don't live close find a reason to make the trip. This is the kind of business we should be supporting, I know I will. I have mixed feelings because the guys that work there were kind of rude and they are not friendly to people that are new to comics or pokemon cards. I just asked them for what kind of Pokemon cards I should get and they just said things in a rudely fashion. I will comeback for some manga if they have any. But the next time I went there the next day there were two different people working there, the lady that works there is so nice and that is a good thing.

My childhood comic shop, I have been going here for 15 years and this place is by far one of the best shops in NJ. They will always give you great personal customer service, they will go out of their way to order items for you, and hold items you want to get later. If you're looking for comics, statues, or trading cards you need to go to Paradox Comics. Stop reading this review and go!!! You won't be disappointed!!

Nice little comic shop. They have small nice wall books, trades, and current comics. Good toy selection as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. Just wish it was a bit bigger.

Greatest comic store in North Jersey. Staff has so much knowledge. Its a treat just to eavesdrop on their conversations because of the wealth of information they have. Staff is awesome as well. Super helpful. They can find anything you need. My go to spot now.

The shop is super small, but that's to its benefit here. It feels cozy. They have just about anything you'd want anyway (comic wise), if they don't they will do all they can to get it for you. They are too small for a play space so the price of packs of cards is easily the best of any shop I've visited, they are really more of a comics/collectible store that also sells card games, but the selection of packs is rather large.

Come here for all your comic book needs. They have amazing staff that are helpful and always happy to help. If you need a comic whether Marvel or DC they have it. It’s a great place for a quick trip to get some great reads.

Great comic shop to go to. I stumbled upon this when driving to my sisters and it’s a rare gem. Lots of back stock and statues, prices are fair. This is certainly a shop that people should go to. Staff is very friendly they even saved books I had picked out and saved them and shipped them out. Don’t worry about parking there’s plenty of meter parking.

Went their today and walked out with the a bunch of stuff. The shop is a little small, but don't let that fool you. They have a great collection of books, toys and even some posters and video games. Adding the very helpful employees into the mix, I am totally going back for future comic hunting.

I love this place. I’ve been going on and off since I was around like 6 years old and I’m 28 now! I always find my way back there even if it’s been awhile. John, Carol, and Mike are cool and funny people. They always know how to make me laugh. Paradox Comics will always have a place in my heart. Who needs retail stores for games, toys, and cards when you can get some of the stuff cheaper at Paradox anyway! But they also have a bunch of goods and collectibles that you wouldn’t find in stores. It’s my go-to spot for Magic: The Gathering cards 👍🏼.

I stopped into this location by chance and I must say this is an impressive store. The store is very clean and well stocked, the employees were extremely helpful in helping me to find what I wanted. I will absolutely shop there again. In a competitive retail environment it is important to set yourself apart from the rest of the pack, and this is one place that manages to do just that with fantastic atmosphere and superb customer service. This store is by far the best comic book store around! They have a huge selection and they restock very often. Every time I walk in, I always leave with something. Customer service is very polite and helpful. Store is very clean and organized. They even have a Facebook page with daily specials. When I need an issue im missing they make a note of it and find it! This place is by far the best comic book around!

I love this store I always buy something here its a nice cute little store that you will love! They have old collectables from all types of things super heros horror dolls like friday the 13th and all that ! The prices are good and it has amazing staff members that give me discounts once they get to know you <3 Go to this store they have walking dead figures and they have comic books all over the place but there very neat and in order in boxes and on selves. They have funko pops and trading cards and all stuff like that my bro gets myestery minis of the walking dead there cool. They always have something new and cool and cheap to buy.

My first time at this shop was when I won an auction on Ebay and the guy was local and said I could pick up the set at the shop to save on shipping. It was Jack Kirby's 2001: A Space Odysseys run. This was back in the mid 90's and I am still shopping there to this day. I have traveled all over the country and have made it a habit to pop in to whatever local comic shop I can find and I never felt the warmth, variety or knowledge that I have encountered at Paradox Comics in North Arlington. The owner, John, is great. His wife Carol is also great and welcoming. I lived in Denver, CO for 2 years and had him mail me my comics and it was always a great surprise cuz he would add a little something extra that he knew I would like. I am back in NJ but still live pretty far away but make it a point to visit at least every two weeks to pick up my stash and to show off my newborn son to the world of comics. I refer to them as Uncle John and Aunt Carol and hope my son can grow up in this geekery. Thanks for all the great service for over two decades!
