Incredible neighborhood coffee shop. The lattes taste amazing and the book selection is excellent. The employees were so kind and there is very comfortable indoor and outdoor seating.

Lovely Black owned bookstore in Marigny neighborhood. Perfect work space or chill spot to sip coffee/tea & enjoy good company. The atmosphere is homey and quaint. Not too busy when we went. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Spacious area for business meetings or interviews as well. Love the greenery throughout. There’s a wide selection of books by black and brown authors. You have to try the Lavender Matcha!!!!

Beautiful cafe and nice coffee! I got the "If Beale Street Could Talk" which has cinnamon and cayenne in it. Enjoyed the chill outdoor seating in very good weather.

Their selection of books is impressive and expansive, some very interesting maybe lesser known titles as well. Coffee is amazing, also enjoyed the lavender lemonade. Such a good vibe and staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Also gender neutral bathrooms are very clean, good soap. Definitely recommend.

Love this place! Great coffee and a large selection of books to browse. Very cool layout and an outdoor courtyard as well for when the temperature is not 95° lol

It’s a great looking coffee shop with books or better said, it’s a book store that sells coffee and also breads and pastries, both sweet and savory. As for books, they are many and varied. It just opened in March, but it was sure bustling when I visited in June. I stopped in with a friend prior to a brunch date, so we didn’t get anything to eat. I did; however, order the “If Beale Street Could Talk” coffee with espresso, milk cocoa, brown sugar cinnamon and cayenne. I’ve decided it is my favorite brew in the city. Next time I’ll have to try one(or maybe two) of those pastries.

Truly enjoyed stopping by this Black owned bookstore. Their drinks are so yummy. We only intended on visiting once but went back the next day after brunch. The lavender lemonade is yummy and so is Go Tell it from the Mountain.
It truly felt like a neighborhood space with folks meeting and working. The surrounding area is nice as well. Great place to visit when you head to NOLA.

Baldwin & Co is a POC small book store with a coffee stand and its own podcast studio. I'm not sure what all is recorded there, but it looks super clean and nice. On their website is a link to listen to their podcast called "think story" which I will have to give a listen to. The employees were friendly. I heard a nice lady speaking to someone about their new concept of a wine bar that paired bottles with books and that sounds amazing. Anyways. I look forward to coming back again soon.

Absolutely an amazing Bookstore 📚 & Coffee Shop ☕ to visit hands down!
Perfect spot to gain inspiration, motivation, and knowledge from the wonderful variety of books they have. Did I mention how tasty their Coffee is, perfect pair when handling work while there inside the coffee shop or outdoors in their patio area. Baldwin & Co also has book signing events often.

Excellence! My find and I decided to purposely seek out a black owned coffee shop. Someone recommended Baldwin. It was an excellent experience. The coffee was very good. We went with the traditional americano blend to properly judge the coffee. I was very pleased. The barista was very courteous. Now let's talk atmosphere! The vibe was great! There are different sections available and socially distanced. There is an outside court as well. I was given a mask when I asked because I forgot mine in the car. That was really nice of them. I love the book theme they have going which goes inline with the namesake of the famous writer James Baldwin. They even have a podcast booth/office you can rent. Now let the photos talk for themselves.
