Rick's Comic City is an EXCELLENT comic shop with loads of choice, a wide selection, and that has a great staff to boot. I'm not from the area but I visit every few months, and I go here to see what new comics, trades, and toys they have in. The comic selection is IMPRESSIVE. New comics range from mainstream offerings to smaller labels to some Kickstarter and other projects. Their prices for back issues are very fair, they add a discount currently for TPB and have a TON in stock; its WELL worth going to.

I had fun getting lost in there and checking out all the comics that caught my attention. Each staff members that I talked to were so helpful and welcoming. Really a great store! They had an excellent variety and one guy who knew what he was talking about. The other guy tried to hustle some lies telling me that a 5th print variant is more rare than the original cover- so if you're new to the Hobby beware of taking advice from someone who works here However I was able to pick up some Immortal Hulk at cover price, very nice!

And when I needed recommendations, the employees were so friendly and helpful. They knew a lot about comics and I really enjoyed our conversation. Amazing comic store, has up to date issues, as well as a large collection of graphic novels and compendiums. The store also has several shelves filled with collectors items, ranging from funko pops of all kinds to specific statues and toys. The staff is friendly and helpful, as well as knowledgeable of their stock and locations of all books and issues. Really recommended to comic and comic memorabilia fans.

I was so impressed by Rick's.. I had moved from out of state and was looking for a regular comics shop, and I've certainly found it! The staff (Justin and James) couldn't have been nicer and more helpful to me! Everything is reasonably priced, and it is by far the cleanest and most organized comic book store I've ever been to! (They do not have any gaming/RPG materials though, but there is a gaming store up the road they told me about, so...) I'm excited to return back soon!

They have a wide selection of comics in a clean well lit store. Between the selection and the service I know I have found my new comic shop.

I would probably give 5 if I were a comic book lover, which apparently I am not. My friend was and was looking for specific books. I enjoyed seeing the comic book store and all the goodies it offered, they had many toys inhad as a child. I also am a evil dead army of darkness fan and they had books and memorabilia. I saw much variety and great art work, and seemingly interesting story lines. Mu friend did find a book and all ended well. I did enjoy the visit.

Great shop. In Nashville for the week and tried to visit a couple different shops. This one was by far the best. They had a clearance section, tons of vintage and new toys, tons new comics. This place is a solid shop. It felt like my home shop minus knowing everyone's names. If you can only pick one shop to go to while visiting Nashville, make it Rick's.

It’s pretty much like any other comic book store - jam packed with cool stuff. Great dollar comic selection too. The staff sometimes get on my nerves though… they have some kind of club or rewards thing that has seemingly never “rewarded” me with anything, other than being asked if I’m “…in their system” every time I make a purchase. Plus, vendors that shove a COVID mask in your face every time you walk through the door is getting old. If your so concerned, why don’t you offer hand sanitizer? How many people touch your door handle coming in and out every day? I bet it NEVER gets sanitized. And rifling through comics that hundreds of other people touch is okay because a piece of paper rubber-banded to our face will keep us all safe in your retail space, right?

Absolutely WONDERFUL place to shop for ANYTHING comic related. The staff is always upbeat and knowledgeable, and its always a fun experience whenever I step into the store. I go every single Wednesday and I'm there for any special events they might have. Once you're in the system you can build up points for discounts (which is ALWAYS great). Great location. Great store. I love this place. I got into comics and went the digital route originally. However, I friend sung the praises of Rick's to me. One visit and I was hooked. Yes, digital is faster, but I don't get the same warm greeting and awesome recommendations from the same awesome staff unless I go there. Even after moving to Memphis, Rick's is still my home store and I'll usually wait to come back instead of going to a lesser store.

Rick's was a great bonus, a surprise discovery, shortly after I moved to Hermitage. The store has a nice, all-ages and family friendly selection, as well as a staff that is happy to have you in the store. I've visited comic shops with a "we could care less" attitude toward customers, but Rick's isn't one of them. I'd given up regular trips to brick-and-mortar comic and collectible stores years ago, but Rick's lured me back and has been successfully competing with Amazon for my comic dollars. (And I'm a Prime member, so that's saying something.) Great job, guys!

My family took me to Uncle Buds to celebrate me and my aunt birthday 🎂. I'd just turn 23 at that time. My mother and grandmother let me go to the comic store as a gift since I've never been to a comic store in my life, I loved it because I got a good amount of comics that day and ever since I've been going back every now and then, I'm 25 at the time of writing this post.

My first visit to Rick's was a pleasant one. They have TONS of graphic novels and trade paperbacks, along with current comics. My only complaint is the lack of back issues. Friendly staff. Open, easy space to move around in. Recommended!

I love this little shop! I was impressed with the number of current titles they carry - more than a lot of shops I've been in. Due to space limitations, their back catalog is relatively small but that's not a negative. Lots of toys and collectibles. They do good job of cramming a lot of stuff into their small space but it doesn't feel cluttered or cramped. Employees are always cool and friendly.

It's hard to say enough good things about Rick's. My girlfriend and I were both completely new to the wold of comics when we walked in the store for the first time, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. It's been almost two years since that visit, and we've watched our comic collection swell over that time - largely due to the thoughtful and personal recommendations from folks at Rick's. We've since moved from the area, but we make sure to stop by every time we're in the city.

We are from Arizona and stumbled upon this shop and just had to stop in and check it out. They had a wide range selection of comics and collectibles. Everything was laid out in an easy flow and it was all labeled to help you find what you needed. The music wasn't too distracting or loud which made the atmosphere a place you'd want to stay in.

I never have to worry about my favorite comic (The Walking Dead) being sold out here. :) These guys know how to stock-- unlike other comic stores in the middle tn area (won't name any names.) Big, easy to navigate store, well-lit, lots of awesome items aside from the comics. Oh, and they have a life-size Spiderman dummy there that my son adores. Ha-- looks like I reviewed this back in December, too. See? It's an awesome place.

This is easily the best comic shop in Nashville. It has a modern downtown comic shop feel in a strip mall setting. The selection of trades and hardcovers is the best that I have seen. They have a lot of other great geeky things to offer including action figures, statues, and novelties. The staff was very friendly and they seem to attract the right customer base. It sounded like they had some sort of rewards program for repeat customers as they asked my name when I checked out so they could look it up. I didn't get into the details since I was just passing through town. However, if I a was a local, I would definitely get my weekly books here.

Friendly, knowledgeable folks, plenty of inventory, and they're the only shop in the region that accommodated me on making a pull list (others will, but there's waiting lists). Not just traditional comics, but manga, graphic novels, and plenty of merch. Give them a visit- you won't be disappointed (just look out for the man-eating potholes in the driveway entrance)!

Go early in the day, because there are a LOT of comics and novels to peruse. I like how they have all the comics arranged, its really easy to find what you're looking for. Saturdays seem to be a good time to stop by. It's a little busy from time to time, but that's just fine with me. I love hearing all the idle conversations ;-)

A few weeks ago a couple friends and I decided to spend a day going to various comic shops in the Nashville area. We went to quite a few before stumbling upon this gem. They have more back issues than any of the other shops we visited, the books are all displayed in a very easy to view way that we didn't find anywhere else, the staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had quickly while offering to help us find anything we were having a hard time locating, and there aren't a ton of people sitting around playing card games blocking the customers from viewing the books on display (like a few other shops in the area that I won't name). Because of that trip we've decided to make Rick's Comic City our monthly comic destination and I can't wait for my next visit. I highly suggest this place to anyone looking for a shop that's truly dedicated to comics and customer service. You guys rock!

The store is not what I would expect from a city like nashville, I listened to some of the staff talking about comics, they really seem like they confused the movies with the actual comic story line. The back issues are really lack luster. I am rating this store on the bases that I've been to comic shops on the west coast-east coast and many in between.

Best comic shop in town. If you want a true to core comic shop this is it. Most places in Nashville that sell comics are not in the comic business, this place is. However dont ask the younger employees about a comic book. I was asking if a new series was any good and the guy said " oh in this issue named character dies". Really!!! why would you say that. I put it back and grabbed a Spiderman. Anyway its a great store and very clean.
