I went into this bookstore on a Hump Day and the employees were all on their A game! Thinking I would remember the name of the book, an employee attempted to help me; his name escapes me. He was very attentive and wanted to help me recall the name of the book. However, while waiting to recall, Dontae, another employee also assisted after giving him a brief synopsis of the book. Then Bam, Dontae finds it. Dontae, was my Hero today. He had to search deep for the book. Thank you Dontae, and the other employee who helped. I highly recommend Books- A-Million for all your new and old book arrivals. You can even enjoy coffee while browsing!

Lovely little bookstore with chill vibes. My complaint though is their stock and organization, which I feel need to be improved. So often they will be out of things or only have one or two books in the series with others missing. Oftentimes things are shelved so oddly with series being out of order or authors different works not being shelved together even if they belong in the same section. It just gives an impression of carelessness and feels sparse. When I go to a bookstore I want to see overwhelming options, not feel like I’m picking through leftovers. It’s not a huge deal as you can mostly find what you’re looking for but I feel it could greatly be improved upon.

I've never been to a BAM before. It was pleasant. I love books but usually shop at B&N since it is closer to us. But they also have great selection of books here and toys/gifts. The staff are also friendly.

In spite of being a chain store, this place is pretty fun to visit. This is now my 'mainstream' book store of choice, since I've actually found things of interest to me....as opposed to the other large chain still in operation.

I have hypoglycemia so I can’t have super sweet treats at the coffee bar and I can’t have regular coffee because it messes with my heart. I don’t get upset when places can’t oblige my request, but Tina went above and beyond to make my request happen. She even made it exactly how I asked (3/4 decaf and 1/4 hot chocolate) and then left room to top it off with whatever was needed to make sure it was right. When I tasted it, it was perfect so I told her to put a lid on it and call it a day. Excellence in leadership and guest service Tina!! Thank you. You made my day! Side note - this is a super small location but they do have a lot of good product packed in so it’s worth a look!

I come here often and I love the place, but had a terrible experience last time I went. My sister and I were followed through the entire store by a staff employee, and watched the whole time. She made sure to stay near us the whole time and it was very irritating to be profiled like that. Other than that, nice selection and the staff who checked me out was nice.

It's good. I have always liked BAM; however, upon my most recent trip I found several books that happened to be in two spots. A full price on the regular shelf and another copy marked down on the clearance section. Good thing I walked over there! The price difference was almost $14.

I love coming here. Every time the associates are very friendly, you can tell they love their job. The store is clean and it's easy to find your book genre. I love that they give plenty of space between the rows. You can peruse the rows of books without feeling crowded by other patrons.

I've always liked this store, but I had a FANTASTIC experience today. My 4 year old is interested in geography, so we wanted to get him a map. We found Matt, who is a fellow geography nerd, like my son. He went above and beyond to find not only a map, but a perfect kids map of the world! Great job!

I went into the store today because I was feeling pretty down and bookstores cheer me up. There was a man working there who said he wants to go be the nickname D, and D was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. We talked about books in between customers and he recommended me a book I’ve never heard of, which I decided to purchase. Keep hiring these awesome employees, Books-A-Million!

I love this place. Unfortunately, the website isn't great so it's hard to fully understand if a book is in stock. But this place is always clean, organized, lighting is great, and the prices are pretty fair! Staff was friendly while helping me find a book and checkout was quick. The store is also a decent size, so they have a good selection of books.

They are super helpful. I found everything I needed. I had coffee with my friend after shopping for books. Which is nice if you want to sit down and enjoy a latte while looking at your books or magazines. They have a wide selection of books, magazines, kids books, the new best seller's in front, plus gifts for people. A great place to go to look for a new book or magazine to read.

I went in to get coffee (which was excellent) and ended up finding a book. Everyone I talked to was super nice, and the store was clean and inviting. The only issue, and the reason I am knocking off a star, is that every conversation with an employee has to turn into a hard sell for their membership club. Can't I just buy a book and leave?

Got some book for my son's summer ready. Signed up for there membership. Deonta was very helpful and pleasant. He explained the details of the membership very well. The store was clean. I got asked if I needed help minutes after I came in the store. Everyone I encountered was pleasant ans helpful.

I walked the entire store looking for a book called The Midnight Library. Just as I was about to toss in the towel, I came across an employee near the magazines name Sierra. Even though she was clearly in the middle of a project, she walked with me up front to see if they had the book. There was only one copy left. When we went to check it’s “home”, it was not there. Somehow she spotted it amongst another shelf! It had been put back in the wrong place which is why I was unable to locate it myself. Very thankful for her help and so glad I didn’t have to walk out empty handed! Thanks Sierra!

They stock newer books, older books you will have to order or get else where. I swear they are moving from being a bookstore to a toy/comic book store. Every time I go in there are less and less books. Their prices are much much higher than Amazon and they refuse to price match. Good place to browse for books to read but if you are looking for a specific book just go on Amazon. They do have a decent selection of hard backs though.

I've been going here since I was a kid. Extremely helpful staff make finding something specific a breeze, and they have a wide selection of books, collectibles, tshirts, baubles, and trinkets to keep you intrigued. There's also a cafe to keep you alert while you bury your nose in your favorite books.

Im glad to have a real book store to go to but i think its in the process of being closed. Why? Their air conditioning hasn't either been turned down enough to be useful or they stopped having it serviced . This has been for over several months now so not an isolated issue.. not a super comfortable book store to be in unfortunately .. someone is being a tightwad ..

Cute merch but the cashier was horrible and INCREDIBLY pushy, ended up pressuring me into and just about forcing me to pay an extra $30 for some stuff I didn’t even want because I have anxiety and after so many times saying ‘no thanks I’m good’ it’s hard for me to enforce my boundaries. I’ve seen other reviews that are similar to mine and likely about the same guy. Horrible service from him and like other customers I might not return just to not have to see him again.

Good store, a bit pricey, and the magazines they give away end up putting you in debt if you don't cancel them before the 3 months are up. Coffee is expensive. Book selection is decent, but could be improved! Along with organization.

This store was good. Big and had a lot of all genres of books. I couldnt find what I was looking for and the person at information told me where I could find it. Then one problem was, there was no order for their books. They were not alphabetically by author or by title. It took me 5 minutes to find my book once I knew the section.

The store had a lot of cool things for sale, but the older male cashier talked over us, wouldn't listen, tried to upsell us a lot of random things we kept saying no to, and took forever to let us pay and leave. Might not return because of him, it was a hassle and we were in a hurry.

I was slightly disappointed in the fact they had no books on hair at all. Not just ethnic hair. They did have books on braids but not culturally diverse as one would think. They do carry a variety of things the strike your interest. In all you can always order online for delivery or store pickup as an option.

I am a big fan of tangible media. Be it books or music. So with Amazon among other online outlets slowly burying the brick and mortar boutiques of my childhood it is a very depressing thing. More depressing yet is the digital audio/video that is replacing books, CD's, records etc. So it's no big surprise that I am an avid visitor to my local Books-A-Million. They have fairly typical pricing on new books. As well as equally comparable prices on new vinyl. My only qualm with their record selection is that I wish it were larger. As I said vinyl prices are comparable with new selections from any online retailer and every so often you can find quite a nice bargain with mark-downs, sales and the occasional coupon. They have some equally fair sale prices on books. I hope they can hang in there. I can't deny that I contribute to the decline in mom and pop shops as well as popular chains by buying a good bit of merch online but I will continue to do my best to keep Books-A-Million and similar stores afloat in this digital age but I'm afraid the future looks grim. READ MORE BOOKS FOLKS Audio books don't capture the imagination like the real thing.

I was actually disappointed on my visit here. Three of the four books were not in stock even though the website indicated there were copies in the store. The customer service provided was great but I'm beginning to see the appeal of downloading digital copies as that is what I had to do with the books that were not there.

It's a great outing but keep your money in your pocket and use the library or shop online to save money and a tree. I'll keep using the store for quick gifts. Large selection for children and college students so parents of the schoolaged will enjoy. Need lookup tablets on the floor with so little help.
